Another new POV switch right from the get go! I was so excited to get a glimpse into the newest character view and to see where we left off from book 5. I loved the adventure that this book dived into, and I think it’s my favorite out of all 6 books! I loved seeing the new adventurers, and it was a nice installment after the ending of the last book. After reading all of them, if you’re someone who enjoys adventure, sci-fi, and a little romance, these are the books for you!

This was an action-packed, thrilling read from start to finish. Written from the perspective of several different characters, the reader is taken on a terrifying journey of loss and betrayal. This psychological thriller is well written and takes the reader on a horrifying ride. The inner workings of the Stone family and Jacklyn’s story through grief and betrayal and the situation she finds herself in makes for a compelling, page-turning read. I enjoyed the character development and overall story.

So many authors give you so much great information in this book. If you are a budding author or just someone who likes to know how things work this book is definitely for you. Some of these authors make rules and others feel like breaking rules already set in the world of authorship. I thoroughly enjoyed reading brief examples of what some of the brightest minds do to keep writing.

5/5 Stars This was my first read by this author and it’s such a cute book! Not only are the drawings good, the book is very informative in an easy to understand way. I learned quite a bit from this book about butterflies and caterpillars. I also liked the map and other information that was included. I will say that this book would probably be a great read for a child 5 and older.
This portrayal of the different creature factions in mythological lore reminds me of the creatures of the night from Rocky Horror. That said I loved it!! A great story with amazingly descriptive content in both storyline and characters. You can’t beat an author who loves their own characters and makes you love them. I not only will be reading more from this author but am quite confident I will be adding many more five star reviews for their books.

The 45th Parallel is a great continuation in the Antipodes Series. This book focuses more on the next generation of survivors, the children of the people chosen to live within the domes. Caitlin and Seraphina have lived their whole lives within the dome on Lewis, but long for adventure as they grow up. Adventure they find when they reactivate the antipodal point that allowed travel between communities. However, new communities are discovered, along with a whole new set of threats and dangers. This book had me on edge from the very beginning. Although this book could be read as a stand alone, I think the whole series is better read in order. There are so many characters, as well as so many different communities and backstories, that it would be difficult to understand any of the later books without first reading the books that came before. T. S. Simons is one of my new favorite authors! She has consistently delivered wonderful characters, full of life, and ones you can’t help but feel connected to, as well as surprisingly realistic worlds and settings. I can’t wait to read more from her!

Chatroom With a View is a dark, twisted look into the human mind. I was incredibly intrigued from the very beginning, and there is a depth to this story that I wasn’t expecting. I love psychological thrillers, so this was a great read for me. I enjoyed the twists and turns as well as the dark themes. Troy comes from a terribly dysfunctional family and knows that he’ll never fit in with the general population. When his ex-girlfriend announces her pregnancy, the little sanity Troy has left leaves him completely. His ex-girlfriend ends up finding out about Troy’s disturbing family past which leads her to make some extremely difficult decisions. Will Troy live up to his family’s violent dysfunctionalities or will he be the one to break the pattern? I was taken by surprise at quite a few things in this book and sat on the edge of my seat all the way to the end. I highly recommend reading this if you enjoy true crime or psychological thrillers!

This book, 6th in the Antipodes series is proving an author can exceptionally craft a series with this many books and not lose their readers along the way! The Antipodes series and especially this book were just addicting to read. There is such a balance, great character growth and an indescribable set theme. I enjoy the strong female leads and I definitely enjoy the variety and story line that has brought us here. Well worth reading this whole series!

Just when you think Cam and Freyja, along with the other characters in T. S. Simons’s Antipodes Series, have had all they can take with their many, often perilous adventures, a new danger threatens all of the children. Sessrumnir definitely kicked my momma bear instincts into high gear. How far would you go to protect your own children? Connections must be strengthened and friendships must be tested in order for them to save their offspring. As with the other books in the series, T. S. Simons creates highly detailed settings so the reader feels like they are there with the characters. The characters continue to be lovable, realistic, and relatable. Especially the seemingly strong, tough, take-no-shit Freyja, who we find out is suffering from mental illness. This fifth book in the series definitely pulls at your heartstrings and keeps you on your toes from beginning to end.

I was so surprised and thrilled to hear that Simons has continued this series! This story focuses on Seraphine and Caitlin, two of the immune children against the infested waters. In the beginnings of their adulthood and feeling oppressed with how they have been living. As many of the adventures they have grown up hearing about, they are very eager to have one of their own and see what they find. They end up finding another underwater parallel that has been surviving on their own means as they also learn of other struggling communities. Through the emotional upheavals, they learn through this experience and bring them to the point of thinking whether they will be able to go back to their upbringing community or stay within this new one. To best understand the story, I highly recommend reading the previous books in the series and it will be so worth it!

This series has swallowed me whole and I cannot stop! Another beautiful read with such intense emotion that bleeds from the page. You can sense the urgency and need to protect the children. I absolutely love T.S Simons ability to pose deep questions to the reader in every book of her series! That paired with her talent to create such relatable characters like Freyja and Illyria, you can’t help but be completely drawn in and invested. This is the most thought provoking series I’ve read in a long time! I almost don’t want to read book 6 The 45th Parallel because I don’t want this series to end! This series is a must read!

Caim is the fourth installment in the Antipodes Series and this book seems even darker than some of the other books. Cam and Freyja must embark on yet another journey outside the safety of their dome on Lewis. Simons explores the nature of family, love, heartache, loss, and connection. Caim has the same realistic, lovable characters that I have come to feel connected with from the first three books. Having followed their journey from young adults thrust into a tough situation to the dynamic adults they have become, I am now invested in their survival and happiness. T. S. Simons is great at using descriptive language so the reader feels what the characters feel, the suspense, guilt, sadness, anger, happiness, etc. I can’t wait to read the fifth book!

I love a good psychological thriller, and this book did not disappoint. Jacklyn is simply a widow who is overcoming her grief of losing her husband Albert, but she has also revealed hidden secrets. Her son Dusty has big plans and will do anything to get what he wants. This book was filled with twists and turns that will keep you on your toes. I’ll definitely be checking out more books by this author.

What would you risk for those you love? T.S. Simons has asked me so many questions I can’t help but dwell on. I love when a book or a series just stays with you for a while after you’ve read it, and this series will do the same. I am an emotional wreck after this book. T.S. Simons beyond tugs at the heartstrings in this installment when Cam, Freyja, and friends must brave the peril of another journey and discover the truth about why they were chosen. I know I’ve said this with every book so far but Caim is my favorite. Simons writing is just so incredible. Each book just keeps getting better and every twist is more mind blowing! Thank you T.S. Continuing the story from the second book, this third installment, Ouroboros, finds Cam on a journey to find closure following a harrowing series of events. Freyja joins him on the second part of his journey, and this is where things take a surprising turn. Freyja and Cam find themselves reconnected and happy, only to be thrust into more terrifying situations than anyone should ever have to endure. They arrive safely to their destination but begin to learn the real truth behind the selection of the survivors. This Antipodes Series continues to shock and amaze me. Not only does it explore friendships, love, survival, and community, but also touches on death, disease, science and the sometimes misguided truth behind why things are the way they are. I find myself conflicted on what I would do if thrust into a situation such as this. There are still such realistic, believable characters in Ouroboros as there are in the first two books. T. S. Simons also continues with amazing world building and scene development. On par with the first two books for sure, added with some heavy twists and turns!

The cover art drew me in. I don’t think I even read the synopsis of the story, but really loved the cover art and spooky feel of it. Straight for the Kill is the 3rd book in the Benoit and Dayne Mystery series. I have not read the other 2 books, but I kind of wish I did. I felt very confused and frustrated the first part of the book. There are a LOT of characters, and some being deputies, are often referred to by their last name, and others their first name, and some nick names. I felt like I had names swimming in my heard and hard a hard time connecting who was who and what was going on. It was prob 1/4 of the way through the book before it all clicked for me. The book is well written and high stakes mystery. There is a lot going on, and the mystery remains throughout. We know that some characters know more than they let on, but not all is revealed, and that kept me engaged because I wanted to know how everything unfolded. The “who done it” if you will…. I will likely read more by this author, as the story was well developed.

Ouroboros is my favorite installment of the Antipodes series so far. The intensity never stops! I absolutely love it! So far each book has upped the Ante and Ouroboros was no different! T.S. Simons has kept me on the edge of my seat for all three books and I can’t wait for more! She creates such a vivid and unique world, with a journey through romance and friendship, that just keeps you glued to the pages. Book 3 Ouroboros is a flawless continuation of Cam and Freyja’s story. It has everything you want in a book: tension, adventure, tests of friendship, danger, and romance. I can totally see this series being a big hit on Netflix! I highly recommend reading the Antipodes series in order to get the best experience possible from this amazing series! I can’t wait for what book 4, Caim, has in store!

I enjoyed this book just as much as the first in the Antipodes Series, if not slightly more! Having already “connected” with many of the characters while reading the first book, I felt more invested in the outcome of the struggles. Cam, and the rest of the community on Lewis, learn that there were several more communities created than originally thought to ensure the survival of as many humans as possible. A list of those taken to these communities is circulated and Cam embarks on a new journey to find family. I found the idea of liminal space discussed in this book rather interesting. This is the idea that all of the big moments in our lives are connected by a transitional period, or liminal space, and neither can exist without the other. T. S. Simons delivers the same wonderful characters and world building as the first book and I am quickly moving on to the next book!

Shore Lodge was a good book that kept me engaged. It is a story focusing on Jacklyn Stone, a widow trying to re-center after the loss of her husband. Like all deaths, she is feeling off kilter, but also was left with some shocking news. Her adult children convince her to go to a “retreat” to get some time to herself and try to get back on track. However, things are not what they seem. It is not a resort, but rather a psych facility and she has been admitted without her knowledge. The story continues as we see what her children are doing now that Mom is locked up, and Jacklyn’s fight to break out of Shore Lodge. The book is pretty messed up, but not gruesome, more just makes you think… because stuff like this probably happens more than we realize. I felt bad for her being tricked, and was rooting for her the whole time. I felt a little let down with the ending, and I am not entirely sure why. It wrapped up nicely, I just expected something bigger, I guess? The characters are good, and i like that we get to see into the personal life and thoughts of all of the Stone family, to give us a better picture of how things got to that point. I do plan to read the next book in the series.

Sessrumnir is the fifth book in the series. It’s worth reading. I love how the characters have grown and developed as the story progressed throughout the series. Everything in the book, dealing with loss, gaining new experiences, and how the characters interact together are very relatable. The plot flows well through the different events that are happening throughout the story.

I am obsessed with the Antipodes series and its ability to make you think about the important questions in life. If you had the opportunity to start over, would you? I couldn’t help but put myself in Cam’s shoes and relate to his character and emotions. T.S. Simons writes with such emotion it pulls you right in. If you love any sort of dystopian sci-fi you will absolutely love this series. It is delightfully unpredictable and deep. This installment, book two The Liminal space, has such a great and seamless flow from book one. I can’t wait to read the next book in this fantastic series, Ouroboros!

The events of the past few years made me a little reluctant to start reading Antipodes. However, I’m extremely glad that I did. T. S. Simons delivers a vast array of characters across many settings and communities as well as great world building in the first book of the Antipodes Series. Lots of character introductions take place in this first book, including Cam, Freya, Lae, and more. This dystopian romance really made me think about everything. If the world were to be threatened, how would humans react? How would we ensure the survival of the human race? Would we create some kind of completely new system or are we doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past? There was a lot of information in this book, but I didn’t feel like it was too overwhelming or difficult to follow and understand. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series!

Imagine living in the wild west… never feeling hungry or want but also completely bored. Thus starts the story of Simon who leaves home to become a famous outlaw. However.. it’s not just his lawless adventures you also explore MM romance in a time in history where it was very much not accepted, dangerous and deadly to explore. This book kept me turning the pages and had a good story with well built characters… wild west stories aren’t typically my favorite read but this one was solid 4 stars given its length

This novel is not what I normally read due to easily triggered anxiety. However, I thought I would push my reading boundaries. Though within the first couple of chapters, the author had my hackles raised slowly! (Great for the psychological thriller aspect, not so good for my anxiety) The constantly turning story narrative kept the reader disjointed, which matches the main character, Jacklyn Stone, whose mental state was in disarray after the untimely loss of her husband of 37 years! All she wanted was to live with her husband and run the garden shop, but fate and an ungrateful child who believes they are owed more! The author hits on the paranoia of every parent and how their children will treat them when they are older! The way Jacklyn’s children, Rose and Dusty, acted activated my anger and frustration with what Jacklyn experienced at this “retreat”! Yet, Jacklyn doesn’t go down without a fight and starts to regain herself back through this whole ordeal! I learned this genre is not for me, but this book was well written and assuredly a great product for those of suspense and thrills!

This is this first time I have read a Glenn Maynard book and I was excited to get this book. If you like to read true crime books then you will love this fast paced book. This book is darker than I thought it would be but it wasn’t to dark. Troy even living at home with his parents he has to battle his demons. I will be picking up more books by Glenn Maynard.

This book was hard to put down once I was invested. This story is a steamy romance with aspects of the paranormal. The connection between these characters is off the charts, as soul mates should be. There are twists and turns in this story while these three are trying to navigate what’s real and what’s a dream. This was a quick but well written story that you don’t want to miss out on. I recommend this book.

This book was filled with so much suspense I couldn’t put it down. It made me filled with so many emotions and all the feelings from curiosity, angry, anxiety, and enthralled. It was just a rollercoaster of a ride. This book was so well written it really made me wonder a few times if it was true or not, I had to keep reminding myself that even thou it was such an amazing read that it was also fictional. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down I had to know what was going on next with what was Jacklyn thinking and if the situation she was going thou was heartbreaking. This thrilling captivating mystery had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down.
