Shadow (Devil’s Handmaidens MC: Timber-Ghost, Montana Chapter Book 2) by D.M. Earl – Review by Kerry Carr

Shadow (Devil's Handmaidens MC-Book Two)Shadow by D.M. Earl
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the Devil’s Handmadien MC. As with the first book in the series this is a really dark gritty story. If follow Shadow who is one strong woman. She comes across as scary especially being the MC’s enforcer, however like with most members we’ve met in the MC groups she is this way for a reason and her story is a heartbreaking one. The author does an amazing job of telling Shadows story in a way that is respectful but allows the reader to experience the pain and sorrow she went through.
Now along with her friend Panther they are trying to uncover and stop the trafficking rings. Shadow wants to help other girls falling victim like she did. Shadow is one very broken individual who is trying everything in her power to heal herself from the physical and mental scars left behind and she does this with the help of her new family.
Panther is shadows other half even if she won’t see or admit it. He knew from the moment he met her that he wanted her and no matter what she throws at him he never gives up. Together they work on stopping the trafficking rings but Shadow isn’t the only one holding on to past mental and physical scars.
Can Shadow and Panther learn to work through their demons and help to heal each other? Or are some scars just incapable of healing?

This story is action packed, full of danger and at times a heartbreaking read. You can’t help but feel for both Shadow and Panther as they struggle with not only the dangers around them but also the demons they are still left to fight.
It’s another amazing read in this series and I hope they keep on coming.
