This book was my first introduction with a character that used They/Them pronouns. This is an Adult, Dark Fantasy story. I would strongly place this book into the genres of mystery, fantasy, mythology and the LGBTQIA+ reading. I loved this book. The LGBTQIA+ representation was both subtle and beautiful. The characters in this book are strong, resilient, built to handle whatever is thrown at them, but at the same time they are graceful, gentle and unyielding. This was a new read for me and I am glad I read it. The mystery that this book holds kept me flipping each page fast and faster. A strong 4 out of 5 stars.
