His Forever Muse (The Echo Series Book 2) by C.R. Alam – Review by Beverly Finnie
His Forever Muse by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The Echo Hearts Series really pulls at the heartstrings. And His Forever Muse is no different. Unlike book one this book has some dark themes of abuse. So proceed with caution. If you look past that the author delivers a wonderful story.
Callie and Brandon grew up together. Curtis being her little brother and Brandon’s best friend they did a lot together as kids. So one would think these two took a shot then. Not quite she pushed him away and he walked away to make her happy.
What happens when these two meet again, 15 years later?
Well I can tell you sparks fly immediately. The comfort of home they got from each other was wonderfully written. Unfortunately Callie has some secrets that she knows she needs to share, but how? Well when he biggest nightmare is starring her in the face while looking at Brandon with disdain, she knows she has no choice.
Will he run?
Where will they go from here?
She knows he deserves better than the baggage she carries, but will that matter to him?
The author navigates this story effortlessly, even with the dark undertones. I look forward to the next book in the series. And though I say that you don’t have to read book 1 to read book 2. It works wonderfully as a standalone novel.
