This is a story of courage. It is the story of what it may take to start over after leaving an abusive situation. It is the story of second chances, of overcoming baggage. I found it to be haunting, for I, too, have made impulsive decisions that had long-lasting consequences. Readers may look to this story as a beacon of hope for overcoming a difficult situation.
