My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Falling Again is Book Three in the Buckeye Falls series. This book can easily be read as a standalone, but I do recommend reading the first two books because the characters all intertwine with one another throughout the series. This second chance romance story centers around the characters of Natalie and her husband Anthony.

Anthony and Natalie Snyder’s lives may seem perfect to outsiders, but they struggle to find time to be together because their lives have become too busy. Anthony is consumed by his job as Mayor and the challenges he faces trying to follow in his father’s footsteps. Natalie is overwhelmed with running her business, juggling motherhood, and trying to be everything to everyone all at the same time. When they finally get a chance to go away for some time alone will it be too late to rekindle their romance and save their marriage?

The author did a beautiful job of writing a story about the challenges of juggling both work and family while finding time as a couple. This is a universal issue that many married couples struggle with and not all marriages are able to overcome these struggles. Adding in small town gossip and the challenges of everyone knowing your business before you do added an extra layer of stress and tension. Although the topic seems heavy the author kept the story light, and it was a fun, enjoyable read. The characters of Natalie and Anthony were wonderful, well written, lovable, and relatable. I especially loved the character of Natalie and felt a connection with her as she struggled a bit with her confidence and self-esteem after having children. It was easy to root for this couple as they worked through their struggles. Natalie and Anthony’s story was full of drama, tension, stress, angst, gossip, self-esteem issues, and the delicate balancing act of work, family, and marriage.
