In this friends to lovers romance, Lucia and Angelo war with themselves wanting the other but afraid to lose them as their best friend. When Lucia experiences a life changing event, she goes running to Angelo. Opinion This is the third book in the series and I have not read the other two. This did not give me any problems as I read through it. If previous books and relationships were mentioned, they were explained well enough that I did not notice any gaps. The story was cute. I thought that both main characters lacked enough confidence to go after what they wanted and that frustrated me a bit. After the initial kiss, I felt like their relationship should have moved forward. I definitely was frustrated with the life changing event and how it came about. Though, I think this was more realistic. Overall, I did enjoy the book enough to read more in the series as I come across them. It was a quick read with many interesting scenes.

This is the first book by this author that I have read, and it won’t be the last! The main character has to make a tough, life altering decision to either defend his country or his family. The honor and devotion the main character had was great and it added a lot of dynamic to the storyline. This book can be read as a standalone, but after reading it, I really feel like the storyline would have even more meaning by reading the two previous books in the series. I enjoyed the authors writing style, and the way that story developed with the characters and challenges that popped up along the way. The author captured and brought to life the mentality of a warrior and the struggles that they face when it comes to their passion of defending the land they live on and the love of their families. I normally don’t read this genre of books, but I was not disappointed! I would definitely recommend this book to a friend, and I am going to go back and read the first two books! Happy Reading!!

This was really emotional and heartwarming story. It deals with loads of things from love and loss, finding happiness, moving past hate and the need for revenge,finding the path to forgiveness and learning how to overcome guilt over circumstances we can no longer change.
This book is told from the views of 3 different women. All of them went through the same tragic event, a plane crash which killed everyone on board apart from them and it has effected them right up to this present day. This is the story of their journeys as they overcome their demons and find ways to live a more peaceful life. The characters development through this book was great and reading through there struggles although at times heartbreaking also gave you hope that things can change and you can find peace no matter what you go through. This book is emotional so I definately recommend some tissues but its well worth reading the sad times to see our characters bloom.
This was an emotional story with an original and intriguing storyline which had me hooked from page one. The story is set twenty years after a plane crash and centres around three women who survived. Children under the age of two, known as ‘lap babies’ are instructed to be placed on the floor of the plane during an emergency. This is what flight attendant Julie Geiger told five sets of parents to do just before the plane crashed, and she is now living with the guilt. In order to try and heal and gain forgiveness Julie is trying to get the rules on lap babies changed. Meanwhile Marie Stanley who lost her son on that flight blames Julie. Marie knows she needs to move on and not let her hate fester, but she can’t seem to stop feeling vindictive towards the flight attendant. Then there is the lap baby who survived, Paige Montgomery, however, her parents died and she was then adopted. Paige just wants to forget it ever happened. All three women are dealing with the consequences of that fateful flight, whilst also trying to move on with their lives. Paige is happily at the start of a new relationship and wants to learn to forge her own path, whilst Marie needs to let go of her hate if she’s to save her marriage, and Julie is so full of blame and involved in her cause, that she can’t see love fitting into her life. This is a heartwarming and at times heartbreaking story, which took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it. I felt instantly engaged with the wonderfully detailed characters and along with the descriptive narrative I was fully immersed in the story.

It was great retelling of the Three Little Pigs. My little boy loved this story as well. The three pigs are able to make their houses indestructible to the wolf. The wolf cannot blow down any of their houses no matter how easy he thought it would be. In the end the pigs and wolf come to an understanding.

Earl of Griffith is the sixth book in the Once Upon a Widow series and is a Historical Second Chance Romance that once you start reading its hard to put down. I’m a huge fan of not only this author but this series and this one is definitely my favorite yet. This authors style of writing and attention to detail along with fully developed characters make for a wonderful story. Lady Helen and Earl of Griffith take us on a journey at times I got emotional and my heart broke for them both. I highly recommend reading this fast paced story to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

3.5 stars Oh, I like this tag line – EVIL DOES NOT DIE. IT SEEKS VENGEANCE, it was what intrigued me to pick it up and have a read. It is a dark and gritty read and is the fourth book in the Blood Prophecy paranormal series with vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, and other supernatural’s. It has all the exciting elements with revenge, dark magic, good vs evil and prophecies just to name a few. Rise of the Hunter has a good premise but there is a lot going on in different time zones and with lots of different POV’s it makes it hard at times to keep track of everything and fully lose yourself within the story. Like the other books in the Rise of the Hunter it is an action-packed original story and an interesting read. As I said before It is fast paced with a lot going on and a lot to keep up with. There are characters that you will like but there are those that you won’t and too many voices to be heard. His world turned upside down in the worst way. He is now on a path for vengeance and those that stand in his way will cease to exist. Revenge is sweet! There is so much potential that I’m hoping the series will be streamlined as we go. If you like darkness and the supernatural dive in and see what you think. You never know you may love it.

The Hussar’s Duty is a love story full of history and conflict between duty to country and family. Jacek goes to battle for his country while struggling with his obligations to his family he has left behind and those with him. This story has excellent history and emotions all packed together. Reading this book, I did not know it was book 3 of the series, but I could pick up hints of previous stories. I am glad I could follow the story without reading the first two. The relationship between Oliwia and Jacek is so enduring. Their respect and understanding of each other is so inspiring. The heartache of being away from family at war and not knowing how his family is doing or if he would even return to them is so heart-wrenching, As well as the conflict with his young brother-in-law struggling with the growing pains of trying to find his place while learning the true meaning of being a man and a warrior. Honestly, going into this book, I didn’t know what to expect, but I really enjoyed it from the perspective of a mother and wife. I enjoyed the brotherhood and comradery of the men. The middle became very consumed by the battle of the story, and as more of a paranormal romance reader, I got a bit restless, but getting through that, this is a great story. I am glad I discovered it and am excited to go back and read the series’ first two books.

This story is not the type of book I usually enjoy. I like mystery but don’t generally read thrillers. But this book turned out to be good. There were so many turns it was hard to predict. Two sisters were very close, one sister was the beauty and naturally drew people and the other sister was not as magnetic. When she began to worry about the man interested in her sister, we saw some rocks in the relationship. Was she right about the danger she warned her sister about, or was she just jealous? This story keeps you on your toes. I recommend you try this book, even if it is not your usual go to genre.

This isn’t the normal genre that I read. It sounded like an interesting story. There’s plenty of action, vampire, wolves, witches, and crazy strong demons. The plot of a prophecy to be fulfilled in itself could be told in any story. What makes Rise of the Hunter interesting is the way this prophecy starts to be fulfilled. There are several plot points I wish the author unpacked more in scene than summary but there was still plenty of information to keep the novel moving. If you like the supernatural world of witches, demons, and vampires, the this is the story for you!

5/5 Stars I absolutely LOVE this series. As a married mom of two, I can definitely related to the busyness of being a wife, mother, and juggling a full time job. The author is able to take realistic situations and have them play out in a way that’s not corny or cringy. The realism in this series is something I truly appreciate. I enjoy the fact that it’s the same small town with appearances from other characters as well!

In this enemies to lovers book we follow Damon and Skylar. This is the first book of their story and boyyyy it was by far my fave ( at least so far lol we got a couple more books to go) this world is so well built and the characters so real. This has everything you’d want, that’s for sure. Also Gia is ugh lol but it is ends in a Cliffhanger hanging from a cliff and that’s why we call’em cliffhanger 😂 (who else remembers that show lmao loved it) i cannot wait for the next one, releasing soon woot woot 🙌

Soo, I picked this book mainly because I was in the mood for a historical fiction book, the fact it was also a romance was an added bonus. I definitely was not expecting just how much I was going to enjoy the Earl of Griffith. This book was short, amazingly sweet, and packed a massive punch in those pages. I was sad at first but once I got into the meat of the story I was sucked in. The care, sweetness, and love that Conway showed Helen, and Maeve, and how Helen had to heal, and overcome her fears was so well done through this novel that I didn’t want to stop reading. I laughed when Griffith is courting Helen through his letters but keeping his friend Gideon on his toes by having fun with Maeve all the while. This book really included it all. If your looking for a sweet, clean, stand alone romance, that includes some historical fiction elements this is a really good one to try!

I enjoyed the storytelling and characters in this book. I wish there had been a bit more clarity on the forest and it’s blight and the baron’s role in protecting his people from it, as I felt like it was vague until toward the end. I suppose that may have been on purpose to create more mystery, but it just caused me confusion. The baron and baroness have such a tender relationship, it was definitely the star of the storyline. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the tale and would recommend it to those who are looking for a good vs evil plot.

This was an interesting plot and not something I have read before. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it as a past airline employee, but it was a wonderful read. It was a heartwarming read about forgiveness and healing after a tragedy. The story is told by three women who survive the plane crash that occurred 20 years earlier. Julie was the flight attendant and takes on and fights for changes as she lives with guilt. Marie was a mother with a child and Julie was a surviving child of the plane crash. Julie keeps in contact with the survivors as they all work through the trauma. I was pulled into the story and had to keep reading about the characters to find out what would happen, how they would cope, and how they can move on. This was a roller coaster of emotions and I enjoyed the ride!
Reading about the horrible treatment of the Native Americans is a painful reminder of the history of our country. Experiencing it through Talks Like Thunder’s eyes is heartbreaking. The Strength she finds within herself is a testament to the resilience of her people even today. I look forward to reading the next book and hearing where the story goes from here.

The characters are so well thought out and planned to perfection. I can’t wait to read other books from the series because this one was a showstopper.

Ghosts of Alda is a fantasy book, the second in the Obscured Throne Trilogy. It’s worth reading the series in order, so start with Ashes of Aldyr then come to this book.
This is a post-apocalyptic story set in a fantasy world, where the connection between beings, magic and nature exacerbates the impact of ecological disaster. The book moves between different characters’ stories, showing how different individuals have been affected and are trying to move forwards after the Rupture. It’s dark at times, but there is plenty of optimism running through.
I particularly enjoyed the mysteries surrounding the Fifth Sect of magic. This had me intrigued early on and it was great fun piecing together more information as I encountered different characters’ perspectives!
This book gets five stars from me! I’d recommend it to fans of high fantasy looking for something big to get your teeth into.

Cressida’s life hasn’t been anything grand or special. Her mother passed away, so it’s just been her and her sickly father, who’s super controlling and not very affectionate. He abusive and mean, but he’s all she has so she care for him. Knowing his death is coming soon, she’s been trying to plan for life without him. Not blessed with beauty or any talents, she knows that life is going to be hard. Even with her father’s last name, a woman just doesn’t have the same rights as men do. She’ll be on her own and she’s twenty-five. She’ll have to be a maid, a cook, or something similar once he passes. It will be hard work and her life will be simple, but what else can she ask for? A small amount of freedom is really all she wants. Her father has other plans though. Calling in a debt from a Baron, her father arranges a marriage with Caravahl of the Hinterlands. With no say she accepts her fate, she’s married off, and she’s whisked right away to the Hinterlands. Stories of the land give children nightmares and now she must live there. Going from a small amount of freedom to a marriage and running a house was not where she saw her life heading. At all! But she starts to fall in love with the people and the land around her. Danger threatens it all though. There is a darkness to the Hinterland forest. The land is sinister and hard. It’s hard to work there and it’s even harder to live there. It’s cold. The forest is a poison. The area is just creepy! But it’s her new home and she plans to be a helpmate to her new husband and help when and where she can. As secrets threaten the land and all people in and around it, the last thing they need is a visit from last minute quests. Arriving right after their super quick marriage and their fast journey home, everyone is rushing around to prepare for their unexpected company. How do you prepare for a guest who likes to cause problems though? Purposely messing with people is just part of court. Infuriating her husband seems to be their goal, but as she spends more time with him she sees another side to Caravahl. He actually loves his country and people. He’s a man of honor. Will he risk it all to save her from the darkness? His kingdom, his life, and even his heart? Can he share the truth with her? Will she find her footing in this new life that was thrust upon her or will the weight of it all crush her heart and soul? Will she run in fear once she learns the truth? This book was very interesting. It took me a minute to get into it because I was having a very busy week, but once I did I didn’t want to put it down. I knew something was going to happen soon and I just had to know what!! I ended up enjoying it and the characters. Of course there are sad parts, tense parts, and funny parts but the story gets better and better as you read. I can’t wait to read some more from this author in the future!!

I have loved every book in this series!!! Buckeye Falls is one of those places you would love to live. I was so excited that this story follows Natalie and Anthony’s story. I felt this one hit really close to home with me. Marriage can be tough and even more so when both people work high demand jobs and you throw kids into the mix. I will admit in the previous books in this series I was not a fan of Anthony but now reading from his perspective that is completely changed. You get to read from his and Natalie’s side and I love that! I like seeing how both people feel about the different times in the story. This author also has such an easy writing style that it makes the book that much more enjoyable! You do not have to read them in order but I highly recommend it so you get the back story of the other characters and they are all pretty awesome. I have to say this one was my favorite out of the series! The only thing would change is to have more of Buckeye Falls!!!

I read this in one sitting unable to complete any other tasks as it had my complete and undivided attention! This is part of a series, but I read it as a standalone and didn’t feel lost at all. However, after reading this book I am absolutely picking up not only the rest of this series, but other books by this author as well. I am addicted to their storytelling capabilities. I felt like I took an emotional journey along with Helen and Conway, twisting and turning in a will they, won’t they read. Maeve is also a gleeful addition to the story as most children tend to be. I loved every scene she was in! If you enjoy romances on the cleaner side but still full of the raw emotions of a second attempt at love, please pick this one up. It’s a quick read and given the chance, it will sweep you off your feet!

Oh man it was good to back in Buckeye amongst friends and friends that have become family ❣️
Natalie , Anthony and their kids are no strangers to me and I must be honest I’ve wondered about their marriage because let’s call a spade a spade here , Anthony can be quite a douche at times and Natalie can be high maintenance and they put on a good show but we don’t always know what happens behind closed doors ……
Don’t get me wrong I know they love each other but sometimes life runs away and you loose each other and you need to find your back before you hit trouble . Anthony is the mayor as his dad before him was so he’s always busy , Natalie has her own events businesses which keeps her busy full time and then we have to adorable kids to add to the mix , it’s hectic and I so can identify and I think that’s what makes this book so rigid is that you can relate and sympathise with the characters
This was a beautiful story about redemption , love , friendship , reconciliation and that saying “ it takes a village to raise a child “ has now changed to “ it takes a village to reconcile “
