Goldilocks and the Six Simple Machines (Science Folktales) by Lois Wickstrom – Review by Rebeca Elliott Figueiras

Goldilocks and the Six Simple Machines (Science Folktales #3)Goldilocks and the Six Simple Machines by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ve said it before, and I’ll keep saying it; this author does an incredible job at taking classic stories and making them educational and fun for kids.

The story itself is clearly similar to the original so that the children can understand and guess what will happen. As the story progresses, the kids start seeing the difference and learning. The information on the simple machines at the end was helpful to both kids and even I got something out of it.

The only negative aspect was the illustrations, they weren’t to my taste, but I’m sure that there are others who enjoyed them.

I haven’t come across a book by this author that hasn’t been great and always look forward to discovering the next book.
