A Rainbow Like You by Andréa Fehsenfeld is the first book that I have read by this author, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But the title alone intrigued me enough to want to find out what was between the covers, so I snapped up a copy and set off to explore.
What I discovered is a wonderfully layered and emotional contemporary fiction story with a unique identity that sets it apart from many of its kind. With a struggling rock star MC, you could be forgiven for thinking this is the usual rockstar romantic story that seems to have flooded the market of late- but you would be mistaken. This story stands alone, with an heartachingly ‘different’ story to tell. Full of struggles and challenges, heartache, love, loss, drama, fate, tension, music, and more- this is more of a deep and meaningful character study.
Ms. Fehsenfeld has a smooth and lyrical style to her writing that easily coaxed me into the story and held my attention the whole way through. Her characters are really well-developed individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. They definitely brought the story to ‘life’ and made it all the more realistic and believable. They were easy to connect with and become invested in- which made my reading experience all the more enjoyable.
This may have been my first book by Ms. Fehsenfeld, but it definitely won’t be the last. Looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us next.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Andréa Fehsenfeld!
