Children will love reading this book, especially if they are interested in the patterns amid the stars!! I loved this book and I’m not a child!
Shirl takes Eee-ahh to school with her where they hear stories all day long. When the teacher asks Eee-ahh where she is from, Eee-ahh proceeds to draw a series of stars and then connects them. The class learns all about constellations and the different names for them.
This is beautifully illustrated and is recommended for all ages, but especially those in the 4-9 year old age group.

Cruel Hate: A Dark College Sports Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book 5)
I am so completely and totally obsessed with this series. I’m not sure why I am as deep as I am, but want more and I count the days until the next book releases. If you haven’t read at the very least Cruel Start then stop here and go read that first, it’s the prelude to this book. But I recommend starting with the very first book Savage Start, you can thank me later.
Phoenix needs to learn to trust people outside of his brother and cousins. I think if he let go some of what’s bothering him he wouldn’t be as angry and that would go a long way.
So many things happen in this book and we learn a little more about Phoenix, his grandfather and rest of his immediate family not including Damon and Cole. I could not put this book down and thankfully I had a nice long weekend so I could stay up late reading.
This book ends on a cliffhanger which usually bothers me but not in this instance because I know when I will have the next book in my kindle and ready to read.

I wasn’t even a full chapter in when I knew this book was going to be a struggle to put down. I was entirely invested in Mia’s life and if she was going to regain her friendship with Mitch and grieve Xavier. I couldn’t wait for Jeff to text her again and knew that Shelly or Granny would have great words of wisdom for her.
This book is so well written that it’s easy to sit down and binge chapter after chapter without realizing time going by around you. The twists and turns kept me so interested, I couldn’t help but continue reading.
This book is a great reminder that things aren’t always what they seem and you should be honest & brave instead of waiting for the “right time”.

Rogue Wolf is Book Three in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series. This book picks up where the last one left off so if you have not yet read the first two books in the series, I highly recommend that you do. The first two books give Kodiak and Tamaska’s back stories, how they met, how the vampires obtained the Blood Opal and why Tamaska and Kodiak are so heavily invested in retrieving it from the vampires. It is a paranormal romance with shifters, vampires, drama, action, suspense, mystery, intrigue, passion, chemistry, and danger lurking around every corner.
Tamaska is in hiding with Kodiak’s wolf pack from the vampires who are determined to get to her. For reasons unbeknownst to her the vampires need to mix her blood with the Blood Opal which will give them special powers. Kodiak will do anything to protect Tamaska, but his wolf pack does not feel the same way as he does about Tamaska. As far as they are concerned, she brought trouble to the pack that resulted in bloodshed and the loss of several members of their pack. Out of loyalty to Kodiak the pack reluctantly agrees to protect Tamaska but have a difficult time accepting her into their pack. Kodiak is trying to become Alpha of the wolf pack so he still must prove himself worthy of the title of Alpha. Tamaska could prove to be detrimental to this if his desire to protect her is perceived as weakness by the pack.
Tamaska is anxious to be turned into a wolf shifter but does not understand all the complications that the transformation process entails. Nobody, including, Kodiak will explain the transformation process to her because they want to protect her. What she does not realize is that she may die during the transformation process. She is determined to be transformed and become accepted by the pack but fails to try to understand how the pack works. To be accepted into the wolf pack and become one of them she must follow the rules of the Alpha, who will soon be Kodiak. Tamaska is used to being strong and independent, so she goes against Kodiak’s wishes, and this risks everything he was worked for as well as her acceptance into the pack. Tamaska’s stubbornness almost proves to be fatal when she does not listen to Kodiak and is attacked by a vampire. Lucky for her, Kodiak rescues her before it is too late. When Kodiak is captured by the vampires Tamaska is determined to save him but to do so she must be transformed into a wolf shifter. Will she find someone who will transform her? Will she survive the transformation process? Will she be able to save Kodiak?
This was another phenomenal book in this series! The author does a great job creating an engaging storyline with vivid scenes that fully immerse you into the story with the characters. Tamaska was strong, determined, stubborn, pigheaded, and independent to a fault. These characteristics almost cost her life when she went against Kodiak’s wishes. She felt that she could protect herself without stopping to think about how dangerous the situation was. Not only was she risking her own life but those of Kodiak’s wolf pack as well. Kodiak was strong, smart, loyal, and a born leader. He wanted to protect both Tamaska and his wolf pack at all costs. It was up to him to make the best decisions for his pack, which included Tamaska, but she failed to understand how pack mentality worked. Both Tamaska and Kodiak failed horribly at communicating properly with one another. She felt that she could protect herself and Kodiak felt he was protecting Tamaska by keeping things from her. It was interesting to see how strong Tamaska truly was when it came time to save Kodiak. A great read that kept me hooked until the end. I highly recommend this book!

Wow, this book was an explosion of action. Tamaska is at the heart of the shifter attack. She will do anything to keep the shifters safe, especially Kodiak. The vampires are on a rampage to get to her.
Tamaska needs to learn her place with the shifters and as always she is going to have to learn the hard way. If she wants to be part of the pack and not be exiled she better learn really fast. Even Kodiak is at his wits end.
Death, vengeance, loyalty, powers of the Blood Opal, and genetics all play a role in this fabulous third book. I need more of these characters.
Fantastic world building by the author and the writing follows seamlessly.

I didn’t read the first, and while I did fine reading the second, I wish I had read it, there were a lot of references to things that happened in it that would have made more sense. It was still a great read with a good story line.

This one really goes on a ride! I enjoy Willow and the path she takes. I am mot a fan of witches as they are usually so sneaky. Willow surprised me. She seemed weak but shockingly she has a backbone. Campania is a master vampire with some pretty impressive powers. He seems a little cold and one sided until “it” happens. You know. That moment when he realizes he would do ANYTHING for her. That changed my mind about him. It was nice to see the characters from the previous stories. Their sass still reminds me of their stories and fun times. Overall another good installment to this series

Liz’s Road Trip by Bernadette Marie is an emotional yet hopeful little gem of a book!!!
The book opens on a pretty sad note. Liz Evans has just lost her beloved grandmother. As she is going through her things, she finds a letter that will completely change her life. Her Gran wants her to take her back to her home, in Florida. When she gets there, a mystery man, Mark, will tell her all about the Gran that she didn’t know. So, she embarks on a trip with Gran and Gran’s cat, Cosmo, that will possibly end up being an adventure that could finally lead her to a forever romance and a life filled with joy beyond her imagination!
At times, Liz was extremely frustrating for me. Her moods could swing from hot to cold, especially in her burgeoning relationship with Mark. I wanted to shake some sense into her, but as I sat back and digested more of her story, I began to understand her more and have sympathy for her. She just lost the woman who sacrificed so much to raise her after Liz’s mother died. In addition, she discovers that her grandmother had many secrets and had a life she knew nothing about. I imagine that Mark knowing those secrets impacted her relationship with him as well. It was all those complicated and complex emotions that made the book so good.
There were so many reasons I loved this book. I liked that Marie pulled on my heartstrings and had me really invested in the characters, especially Liz. Gran was not physically present in the book, but she played such a pivotal role in the plot and pacing of the book. She was still teaching Liz lessons after she was gone. My favorite thing about the book was the growth that Liz went through. She began the book as pretty self-centered, but by the end of the book, a lot of that self-centeredness was gone. Most importantly, she went from just living a good life to a life well-lived, and that is exactly what Gran wanted for her all along.
I haven’t read a book by Bernadette Smalls, but this one won’t be my last one. She is a very talented writer who knows exactly how to pull her readers smack dab in the middle of her story. If you like a sweet romance full of emotions, you should definitely give this one a try!!!!

This was a beautifully written story. I was not prepared to feel the level of emotions I did when reading this book. The story of Adrian and the typical rock and roll lifestyle, all the problems that is involved with that type of lifestyle and where he finds himself now. Alone, isolated from his band mates, toxic relationship with his father and his ex and now struggling to find the creativity to write new material for the band. His life feels like its spiralling out of control and then Hasting appears hidden on his tour bus. Hasting is 13 years old and a runaway. Adrian knows she needs to return home but when that proves no longer possible he realises he can’t leave her alone in this world. The connection between Adrian and Hasting grows as they both let down their guards and learn to trust each other. Hasting is synesthete which means she sees colour in music and musical notes. Could this insight be the key to unlock Adrian’s inability to write? There is so much to this story that apart from Adrian’s and Hastings growing friendship, there is also romance for Adrian’s and a vendetta from a journalist that threatens everything Adrian’s holds dear. This book is a gripping read that I couldn’t put down. Adrian isn’t a Saint and has made some questionable decision along the way however in his heart I believe he acted in the way he saw best at the time. The way he took Hasting in and cared for her was really heartwarming to see and it was amazing to watch their relationship grow and how they both helped each other in more ways than they even realised.

I was so excited to get to read book two of the Reed brother adventures! I thought the author did a great job in this follow up book in keeping the mysteries fresh and exciting. If you haven’t, you will definitely want to go back and read book one, which introduces the boys and their gifts. I loved the continuing friendship between Jon, Frank, and Mira and seeing how they continue to help and support each other. We see that things are getting weirder for Jon and Frank as their powers continue to manifest. I enjoyed see how the author balanced the Zodiac Games, a competition between the houses, with unpredictable rules and changes and the different the struggles the twins were experiencing. This series is definitely giving me Harry Potter/Percy Jackson vibes and I can’t wait to see how it all turns out. I am so excited to see what happens in the next book!

Isla has done it again! This series is SO GOOD!!! I haven’t read them all (YET!), but all the ones I have read, have hooked and reeled me in so quick! You don’t HAVE to read the others in the set to read this one, BUT you WILL want to! Trust me!!!! There is also a prequel to this book that gives you a small intro into Phoenix and Aspen’s story. Again you don’t HAVE to read it, but again I would totally recommend it!! You will not be sorry buy reading them all. You will thank me (or better yet the author) when you do! This book is also NOT a stand alone. There is another book to their story after this one (book 6). Okay so to the book!…. Phoenix is a football QB superstar. Just starting in college football with his brother (Shane) and his cousins (Cole and Damon), who he played with and dominated in high school with (You can read more about them in the other books!), his goals are clear. NFL here he comes! Until one night over the summer, throws his plans for a huge loop. Aspen has goals of her own. Surf board shop with her sister. She designs the boards and her sister designs surf clothing. Neither one want or need a relationship. Having bad role models in the love department growing up, they both don’t want anything to do with relationships. They both have to stay focused on school and their dreams. Well Miss Aspen decides to give up her v-card that summer before college and to both their surprise she gets pregnant!! Yep total wrench in both their plans. Now what can they do? He plans a fake relationship to keep the other girls off his back and she agrees to keep her parents off hers’. What could go wrong there, right? Well minus the fact that they can’t be in the same room with each other without fighting!! This book ends on a cliffhanger that will have you RUNNING to get the next book in the series. Trust me when I say, this series is that good!! I can’t wait to read the rest!! With a fake relationship, sports, a pregnancy, and plenty of back and forth banter you will love this enemies to lovers bully romance. Rocketships made of Stars is another amazing kids book written by Lois Wickstrom. I read this story to my daughter and she absolutely loved it. I feel like the book was a little bit of educational teaching the kids about stars. The illustration was done beautifully. I would recommend this book to kids no older then 9 years old.

Jessica gets approached by Velasco to find his daughter , Doraliz and much like him I can’t help but wonder if she was taken or Jeff on her own accord , I mean hello she’s more of a commodity that anything else and if I were her I’d run and when Jessica starts asking questions people don’t like it and she gets friendly warnings to leave things well alone,but she’s like a dog with a bone ….
There’s more going on in Jessica’s life other than trying to find Doraliz , there’s the drama with her folks , Angus and his feelings , her sassy friends and her four legged non judgmental housemate 🐾😍As for Doraliz she’s safe and sound but I get where her heart is at .
I enjoyed this read and Jessica may have baggage but she’s bold and brave 😉

She’s taken so many science classes that she believes science is the solution to almost every problem, including the dilemmas in fairy tales.
She writes by herself. She writes with co-authors. She asks illustrators what they would like to draw. If she ever writes her autobiography, the title will be My Life as a Group Project.
Her mother used to get angry with her for daydreaming. Her little sister picked on her. It’s always fun to read an enemies-to-lovers story and watch the characters fight their true feelings! Another brilliant book in this series but perfect as a standalone too! Go read it!

This was a lot of fun to read, and I felt like I learned a ton. I loved getting the author’s perspective of her tarot cards. As a person who doesn’t know a lot about tarot it was a refreshing read. I enjoyed each poem she wrote, and who knows maybe they’ll come in handy in the future. If you have any interest in learning anything about tarot, I highly recommend this book and this author!

This fabulous story is the worst thing I have read in a while. This beautifully written story made me so much more emotional than I expected and I am angry at the author for it. There was the touching scene between Hastings and Adrian in the hospital. Then the hilarious interview that put Jillian in her place. Then that twist, that twist of the knife to my heart, was not necessary.
Let me set the stage…Adrian is finally back on tour with his band, the hottest rock band on the planet Sign of a Scandal, after taking a year off. The hiatus was sudden and not necessarily wanted by the rest of the band. There is some tension between bandmates. Not to mention that there is a whole heap of pressure on Adrian to continue to spit out hit songs for the band to complete the one album left on their current record deal. The only problem is that Adrian has hit a massive case of writer’s block.
Adrian travels in his own bus for several reasons but mostly because of his OCD and germophobia. After being on the road for a week, Adrian realizes that he has a stowaway on his bus. Hastings. Hastings is a 13-year-old that has managed to tuck herself into the small spaces on the bus to stay hidden until this slip up. There are several tense moments, anger, things said, and finally some truths revealed. Adrian agrees to allow Hastings to ride with him to New Orleans, where she plans to leave.
Along the journey, Adrian and Hastings develop a comfortable friendship. Hastings manages to convince him to go after a new love. The situation comes to a boil when Hastings collapses outside of Adrian’s bus and is discovered. The health issues that Hastings had not disclosed to Adrian reared their ugly head. Everyone misconstrues the nature of Adrian and Hastings’ relationship. As Adrian’s world continues to crumble, he must make some big decisions.
I won’t give it away. But I will say that the way the author handled the reveal of his decision was classy and perfect. I am still angry about getting left in my feelings but I will put that aside to say, this was one helluva fantastic book.

Aspen asks Phoenix to be her fake boyfriend. He refuses because he doesn’t do relationships. When they told Aspen’s parents that she was pregnant, her parents began bickering with each other. Phoenix and Aspen leave and her parents don’t notice. Every time they meet up, Aspen and Phoenix don’t get along and end up fighting. Aspen kept having dreams of Phoenix and a baby girl. She was also married to Phoenix in her dreams. Phoenix’s grandfather was Mark Reid’s employer. He was Aspen’s father, and it was his insurance that was helping with the doctor’s appointments. When his grandfather tells him to throw his next fight or he will fire Mark Reid, Phoenix feels conflicted. Phoenix’s grades had fallen since Shane disappeared and refused to help him. Phoenix had dyslexia and needed a tutor. Aspen took over his tutoring after she found Noel reading his assignment to him. She read the assignment out loud and made recordings for him to use when they couldn’t align their schedules. Aspen felt alone during the pregnancy because her parents only told her about abortion clinics and didn’t seem to care otherwise. Aspen was afraid after her last doctor’s appointment. Something was possibly wrong with the baby. She told Phoenix, and he said he would be there at the appointment. The doctor performed the amniocentesis, 2 weeks of waiting for the results was stressful on both sides. Where was Shane? What would the test results reveal? Would Phoenix really throw his fight? Isla Vaughn continues to build suspense in the fifth book in the Hidden Valley Elite Series. Cruel Hate takes on a nefarious feeling when Phoenix’s grandfather becomes involved. Shane’s behavior was off so much that even Damon and Cole had noticed. Aspen was worried about how long she could continue attending school when she had the baby. She had already set in her mind that Phoenix wasn’t reliable and that she was on her own.The end of this book left me stunned and eager to read the sequel. The story deserves a 5-star rating. The intense drama will appeal to readers who like romantic stories with a plot beyond just steamy scenes.

By the end of this read I was exhausted mentally and emotionally and I loved it ! I know I sound like I need help 🤣🫣 but this really had everything it was dark , sad , cruel , raw emotions , real emotions , fear , angst , betrayal, you name it I felt it and what does the future hold for this club and it’s members ?!

This is a very emotional book but one that should be shared with all young pet owners. In this story, Shadow, who is the stray cat that keeps showing up, has stopped eating like normal. Oscar and Emmy’s owners notice a lump on Shadow’s belly, so they take her to the vet. The news is not good and now they must all say goodbye to Shadow.
Very gently written in a way that young children can have a better understanding of what happens when pets become too sick. I would recommend this for all pet owners, especially those of the younger generation.

Isla Vaugh did it again! If you’ve read the previous books in this series you knew Cruel Hate would get your blood pumping and she did not disappoint! Phoenix and Aspen are connected forever after a one night stand left Aspen pregnant. Now in college, they decide to start a fake relationship that should be mutually beneficial. Phoenix is still a hot head with NFL dreams. Aspen is an artist with dreams of opening her own business. A baby may complicate things, but both are determined to be their best for the baby. Cruel Hate also brings in some family drama that was previously only alluded to. The cliff hanger means I need to read the next installment now! Can’t wait to see how their HEA happens!

I found this to be a book you can’t necessarily sit down and read cover-to-cover. It’s helpful to read the poetic descriptions of a card and the thoughts the author has written to go with it, then step away and let the information marinate. This isn’t like a classic Tarot book, which can seem somewhat technical. I feel like this work has more of a gentle flow to it that softens the information and allows it sink into your subconscious. An interesting reading experience.

This is Book 1 of Phoenix’s Duet (there is a prequel Cruel Start). Even though this is the beginning of the duet, it is the 5th book in the series. It is not necessary to read the previous books, but I highly suggest you do as they are interconnected and will give you 10x the reading experience and understanding of Phoenix.
Readers hold on to your hearts and stomachs because you are about to go on an insanely intoxicating rollarcoaster. Phoenix and Aspen’s relationship is part toxic part pure infatuation. They both desperately do not want to have the lives of their parents, but it seems that at every turn, Phoenix and Aspen are at each other throats.
It was never in either of their cards to have a baby, and definitely not a baby with someone so infuriating or distracting to their plans of a future. They also both can’t deny that they are extremely attracted to the other. As well as an all-consuming passion. They consume eachothers every thoughts. But is that enough to let their guard down around one another?
Everyone seems to notice the way they feel about each other, except the other person. They both keep lying to themselves that they, in fact, want nothing to do with the other, but yet can’t keep them off their mind. Their entire relationship or should I say “fake relationship” is very Hot & Cold.
There are so many things that the other does not know about them. They quickly are learning there is more to their character than what they originally judged them as. But so there are so many secrets, hidden daggers in their families, and so so much trauma. Will they ever make it past any of that? Are they doomed to recreate their parents’ mistakes? Or maybe even worse ones?
The ending will leave you gasping for air at the intensity of the cliffhanger. I can not wait for book 2 of the duet to see where their lives and relationship are headed!!!!

This is the third book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series.
Tamaska and Kodiak are both still having a push-pull contest of whether they want to be together.
It is becoming abundantly clear that Tamaska is not safe anywhere – even with the wolf shifters. The vampires will stop at nothing to get her, more specifically, her blood. The Wolf shifters early on experiencing an intense loss, making them th scramble to regroup. Why do the vampires want Tamaska? Will Tamaska and Kodiak finish their bond connection? It seems the only option is to turn Tamaska into a wolf shifter – that is, if she can survive the transformation.
I absolutely love the storyline, but …. I am not a fan of the characters themselves. It looked like it was getting better in book 2, but they just reverted to their old ways in book 3. I find both Tamaska and Kodiak extremely annoying and whiney. They both want control, but neither are willing to give even an ounce of submission. Also, several times, the author repeated things that had just happened. There were also things that were “revealed,” but technically, they had already been revealed or uncovered in book 1 or 2. Several times, characters asked questions that they should have already known the answer to. Also, there are so many things that have happened to Tamaska, yet she tells no one… I understand keeping some of the things secret because the author can not just explain everything all at once. But it just made Tamaska seem like she could care less about literally everything – her life, ancestors, the wolf shifters, and even the vampires.
I did enjoy the cliffhanger at the end, and I am looking forward to reading book 4. I would love to see more of Ash. She is by far my favorite character in the book…

I was thrilled to get to finally read the third book in this series! I swear they just keep getting better and better. Tamaska is really coming into her own and seeing her character continue to grow is so amazing to see. She is trying so hard to fit in with the pack, while still trying to figure things out in her relationship with Kodiak. There was definitely a lot going on in this book and it has been my favorite so far in the series. I am so excited to see what happens in book 4. If you love shifters, vampires, action, romance, and fantasy this book and series is for you!

A Rainbow Like You by Andréa Fehsenfeld. This is a very emotional, moving read. I really enjoyed it. Its the story of famous Adrian a famous rock and roll star who is reeling from a break up. He has even lost his ability to create more music. While struggling on his tour, one night he finds Hastings, a 13 year old runaway, hiding on his bus. Normally Adrian would just kick her off and send her back home but something about her makes him feel again. Hastings talks him into letting her travel at least so far with them and in the process they begin to become closer. She reveals to him that she can “see color in music” and begins to help him write again. When they find out her parents are both dead from a tragic accident he agrees to let her stay until New Orleans. In the mean time Adrian meets Sasha-Rae and sparks fly. He can’t believe how much he feels for this woman so quickly. This new relationship will set of tragic events that could destroy all of them. Will all of their past secrets come to haunt them all? Read this wonderful book to find out.

Before I say anything about this story, let’s start with reading this in the order this series is meant to be read. This is one of the most highly explosive stories I have read in a long time. This is Phoenix and Aspen’s story. Let me tell you these two are the strongest and most dedicated people I know. Nothing comes easy for them. School, families, friends and doing what is right, all comes with a price. So let me ask, can this couple get through this? Will they withstand all of the obstacles laid out for them? Will their love be stronger than what they have both seen in their own family? The story has so many twists and turns. It is a fast paced page turner for sure. I will give you NO Spoilers as you need to read this book to believe the strength Phoenix and Aspen have. This author has always been on my favorite list, this one puts her at the top. As here I sit waiting for the next book in this series. I love this series and look forward to reading the next installment.

This is the second book in the Things Unseen Series. I would recommend reading these books in order as it will give you a better understanding of the characters and why they find themselves in the position they are in now. We are back with Con and Neve. After they barely survived their first adventure together they are asked to help Con’s brother and his partner Ciara. After Ciara starts suffering with a mysterious illness that means she harms herself while she sleeps she is admitted to hospital. And this is where Con and Neve come in as they work together to uncover the reason before these episodes and hopefully find a way of stopping them. However things aren’t straight forward and their investigation leads them into danger as they try to get answers from Ciara’s ex and a cult leader has them in his sites. This is a fast paced Suspense story as we yet again see Con and Neve put themselves in danger trying to protect someone else. The twists and turns in this story were great. I never knew what to expect and I was gripped from beginning to end. Can Neve and Con help to get to the bottom of Ciara’s problems? What will they uncover along the way? And at what cost.
I loved this book. It was a great read that I couldn’t put down.
