This is the second book in the Crowned Hearts series and focuses on Lev and Daphnes’s story. This is another great read from this duo, and this is fast becoming a favourite series of mine.
The characters relate back to the first book in that they are close friends with Fyn and Bridget so I enjoyed that we learnt a lot more about them this time. The characters are very well written, each with a unique personality which really shines through and makes each of them memorable on their own merit. On top of this you then have how they interact with each other adding another layer to them. Seeing the interactions and emotions between Lev and Daphne evolve over time and the chemistry between them was exciting and felt real.
The plot was engaging, and I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough while reading. There’s action, secrets, and brilliant character development. I will admit that I am not usually a fan of one of the tropes used (I would say but don’t want to spoil it!) but the way it was done here worked very well and I’m glad that I didn’t let it put me off. I love the enemies to lovers trope so this was a big hit with me too.
This book is written very well and I admire the way two authors, who are brilliant one their own, can come together and create something even better. I definitely need more!
