This book was absolutely fantastic! When I found out that it was a follow up to the first book I snatched it up quickly and devoured it in a few days. This story continues to follow Joey, now a college student, just trying to get through the “normal boring” life of a college student. After being exposed to the supernatural world, I don’t blame her for wanting more. All of a sudden fire are breaking out on campus, but nobody seems to know what’s going on. Joey thinks nothing of it, but when she sees Gwen looking into them, Joey starts to question everything she believes is going on. This book got me hooked from page one, and J.N. Sheats does a wonderful job of storytelling and word building. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
This is such a great story! There are many reasons I enjoyed it! Characters that are easy like and a smart and fun storyline. The cute little nicknames the MC’s have for each other is so adorable. The way Callahan kept going after the girl and wooed her until she changes her mind about possible playboys. Just made me swoon! Then the way he is secretly smart along with athletic. Or even when he explains football to her in a way that she can get excited about it and like it. See what I am talking about?? There is all that and so much more!

Such a great historical fantasy, I was hooked from the beginning. I loved that no time was wasted getting to the point that something different was going on with Elbert. I love that even while he was going through this and discovering himself, his family stuck with him. This story definitely left me wanting more, I know their father felt Juni would carry this magic but I feel Finn also will, so I wish we could get a series with this book. I enjoyed the flow of the book, there’s no dragging out and the ending doesn’t feel rushed with the trappers. I feel readers of all ages will love this book, older readers will get a Tuck Everlasting feel while you’re wanting to protect Valora and her family.

This was such a cute holiday story. Lizzie takes her best friend’s non-refundable plane ticket after losing her job and apartment and heads to Australia for the holidays. Queue Jaz; hot, single dad who comes with a lot of baggage that she doesn’t want to get involved with. But she keeps running into him. This quick read has it all, romance, drama, fun, and a ton of chemistry!

I don’t know what it is about Christmas romances that makes my week but this book definitely did that. This is the first work by this author that I’ve read. I’m eager to go back and read the other books in the series now. I’ve read a few other books centered around the Amish community and I’ve seen a few movies however I am no expert so I appreciated the glossary. I enjoyed reading about Anne and Andy. They seem perfect for each other. It’s definitely a feel good story and I highly recommend it.

Logan McKenna has become my favorite main character in a series. I am always anxiously awaiting a new story. Trouble seems to follow her no matter where she goes. In this case she is headed to Oregon for a consulting job. However, as always, she stumbles upon a body. Once again, she has to help with the investigation to prove who is at fault. I love how well written of a mystery each and every one of the books are in this series. Each book can be read alone, however, I definitely think that these would miss something if you did not read each one. I definitely recommend picking it up!

I LOVED this story. I have read each and every one of the Bennett’s stories and I was anxiously awaiting this story. Becky has always been one of my favorite characters in these stories and I wanted to see what K.G. Fletcher would do in her story. Glen was such an interesting addition to this series. I loved his development and how Becky befriended him. This story is a slow burn but it is so worth it. Definitely pick this story up and, honestly the rest of the series while you are at it. It won’t disappoint!

This book is so fantastic. It is such a quick read and is filled with twists and turns that make it incredibly hard to put down. Jessica and Connor are fantastically well developed and interesting. They keep the plot moving. Connor is such an absolutely interesting character. And their relationship is so interesting. I definitely recommend reading this book. It is so amazing and well written. I would love to see more about Jessica and Connor in the future.

This is a wonderful book that focuses on Ross. Ross is hung up on Hadley, who he let go despite of being in love with her. When Hadley reaches out to Ross for help neither could anticipate what all is going to happen. This book is definitely dark and twisty, but every page leaves you wanting more. There is so much to this story from the more complicated topics to the chemistry that literally jumps off the page between Ross and Hadley. Both characters are fantastically well developed and really made me enjoy the story even more. I definitely recommend reading this story, but note that there are trigger warnings for drug abuse, sexual abuse and physical abuse.

This is a fantastic YA Mystery that reads quickly and has an amazing depth to its character development. Stas has found herself in a very interesting situation when she finds her mother unable to care for her. However, this is where the story really begins. She has so many people who want to take care of her, however, there is really only one that she desires to live with. But at this point, there are so many different opinions and she doesn’t know who to trust who is even looking out for her best interests. This is such an amazing, interesting read. I definitely recommend picking it up!

Each review I leave for this author feels like it could be a applied to every book we have read, they are all that good. And this book is just another in a long line that has been a success in our house. Both of my kids loved the idea of having wings and really enjoyed seeing the images in this book of Carrie and her wings. And the information teaching them about birds created a really interesting narrative. As with all of her books, this one is fun, educational, entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable. We have already read it multiple tines and I am sure will read it many more.
This book is a fantastic follow up to the first book in the series. I would suggest reading these books in order to fully appreciate the full story. The book is well written and really interesting from start to finish. I connected with the story so easily and thought the characters fit well with the story being told. I was intrigued as to where the story would go and enjoyed going on the journey with the characters. This author knows how to create a lasting story that is vivid and imaginative. It is easy to picture what is going on and feel like you get involved. This was a thoroughly enjoyable book and I am already looking forward to more.
This is book 4 in the Amberwood Hall Ballet School Series. This has been a great series for readers young and old alike. The author does an amazing job with the story making it unique and different and filled with twists and turns you don’t see coming. I would recommend reading these books in order so you get a full picture of all the characters. The mixture of a old haunted school, ghosts who are fun and and witty as well as the normal teenagers makes this a store that will keep you entertained.
We are back with Lauren and her school friends as well as her ghost friends Grace and Rodney. Lauren thinks she is doing a good thing when she rescued a ghost from a building that was about to be torn down. Meanwhile, Forest had come into the station, claiming he had shot a ghost on a horse. Unable to get a clear story, Sheriff Latham had Forest committed for alcohol treatment and mental health. Several days pass before the weather clears enough for Hayden to ride his horse home. Ruby and Hayden bonded closely during the stay. After exchanging numbers, Hayden called when he had a signal and was met by his brother Mark, Whitney, and his parents. He told them what had happened. It was determined that Forest had mistakenly shot Hayden. Whitney interviewed Ruby to conclude their report. Ruby started packing her suitcases to continue with her plans to drive to Kansas. The following day, Ruby reported what had happened. Whitney brought her car and belongings to the ranch. Marcus had tried to follow, but gave up. He left Wyoming and stayed at Congressman Dixon’s home. The Congressman owed Marcus for his lavish lifestyle. Marcus told the Congressman he was going to bring Ruby back home to Orlando. When Marcus receives a call with information about Ruby’s location, Congressman Dixon and his wife take an impromptu vacation to Hawaii This story has plenty of steamy scenes; however, Sara Vinduska adds several subplots involving Sheriff Latham and his past, Mark and Whitney’s marriage, and several other supporting characters. The plot is intriguing and full of suspense. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and their interactions are relatable. I enjoyed how the investigations and actions of the police were realistic. There weren’t any superhero-style rescues, which made the story even more appealing. The details were vivid, and I could picture the peaceful scenery on the Goddard Ranch. While this is part of a series, Renewed: Fateful Justice is capable of being a standalone romance. I would recommend this five-star story to readers who enjoy romantic suspense stories involving cowboy ranch life.

Orenda is the second book in The Latitude Series and a continuation of the Antipodes Series. Orenda continues the story of Caitlin and Giovanni. Caitlin is sent to fulfill her roll as ambassador to Canda while Sera goes to Japan with Matto. She must overcome the challenge of being in a new place and position while being young and still learning.
There is so much growth in this book, maybe even more than the first one. What makes T.S. Simons narration powerful is her characters going through unfortunate events and growing through the trauma. She writes each character as imperfectly perfect people. They are trying to live in societies that are self-sustaining but with new problems that they must solve and face to continue surviving. I love the message I get out of this series that time is too short, live in the moment, and live a sustainable lifestyle. I highly recommend reading Orenda and the entire Antipodes Series! I can’t wait for Bifrost, the next book in The Latitude Series!

I was expecting a long story but this short read was still fun regardless.
Traveling to Italy, Genie Darling goes in search of departed great aunt belongings that were sold in auction. What was supposed to be a luxurious vacation, is now a horror movie.
The auction house because an inferno and the dress of her late aunt, is also found in a pile of ash.
When a dead body is found, a mystery begins and Genie will need her Aunt to help her solve it.
It has been a while since I last read a cozy mystery. Cozy mysterious series tend to be repetitive and cause me to think that after so many bodies are found in this town, it is time to move. So the relocation to Italy, opened a vast amount of opportunities where the story and characters would not feel restricted.
The story forced me to laugh out loud a few times. I see that there are a few books in the series so I plan to read those while I wait for another installment, if there are any.

This is an author that I enjoy reading and never hesitate to pick up their books. I enjoy how they use details to give the story a realistic feel. This is the second book in this series which I highly suggest reading the first book as well as it is that great a series. It will also help you enjoy this author’s writing style. This is a well written story about Joey and the school she attends. What will happen when a fire turns out to be more than just a prank. People are going missing what is happening and what does one have to do with the other? I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world. They are strong, connective characters that kept me engaged to the end. I enjoyed what they brought to the story which made it easy to read. They have great growth throughout which makes it hard to put down. I enjoyed reading this fast paced story. I highly recommend this book.
Dreamscape is the second exciting book in the JJ Morris series. I really enjoyed the first book and was so excited when I saw this book. This is a thrilling supernatural, paranormal suspense and mystery story for YAs, but older readers will enjoy too. JN’s cleverly woven narrative draws you in as we journey along every step of the way. The storyline is intense, and the characters are well written. There is lots of danger, suspense, action, mystery, paranormal occurrences. The story had you feeling so many different emotions, ups and downs, highs, and lows with so many twists and turns that keeps you guessing till the very end. Joey is back on campus and things are not what they seem. This could be something far more dangerous than she has faced before. What is stalking her in her dreams? What is real and what is not? Will she get the life she wants? You will have to read it to find out. This explosive and imaginative tale is full of twisted intentions, mysterious fires, guardians, violent dreams, and missing people making easy to get lost in the mayhem and madness. If you enjoy things with a little supernatural you will definitely enjoy this book. I cannot wait to see where things go next.
This is a cute story to read. It is well written and fun to read. It is a story about a young boy who starts to feel something funny inside him. When he realizes it is magic, he now has to decide to embrace it or find it a curse. This young boy is a great character. I enjoyed watching him try to sort out his emotions. He is a strong character that any older child would enjoy reading about. There is great plot growth which just added to this child’s story. I enjoyed reading it. This is a great fantasy story that I highly recommend.

Carrie’s Flight is a sweet fun filled children’s story. It is filled with beautiful illustrations that bring the story to life. In true Lois fashion it is not just a story it is also teaches you something and, in this case, it is birds and flight. Children of all ages will love this tale of a young girl Carrie who finds antique wings. Just thinking about all the dreams, they could imagine when reading about flying. I mean who hasn’t dreamt of flying. This magical tale showcases the love between a grandmother and her granddaughter. I read this to my grandsons who are five and three and yes, they now want their own set of wings! A great book to gift to others and especially this time of year.
An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Lela Vella is desperate to find her missing niece and her boyfriend who have runaway to Malta, before her father does. Meanwhile Hamish McGregor, a widowed Australian international child-protection lawyer has been asked by Giovanni Vella to search for his granddaughter. Hamish is shocked when Lela sees him as one of her father’s ‘henchmen’ and the enemy. He thought he was putting the needs of a child first, like always. However, reluctantly the pair work together to search for them, navigating many false leads along the way. As the couple work together an unexpected attraction develops, but Hamish is reluctant as his pregnant wife was murdered in a revenge attack by a client’s husband. Hamish had vowed to never put another woman at risk, but Lela wants to show him that living life is all about taking risks. I loved the characters, and the chemistry between Lela and Hamish really came across in the story. The settings were brought vividly to life through the descriptive narrative, and I felt like I had travelled along with Lela from Sydney to Malta.

Raining Fish and Frogs by Lois Wickstrom. This has become my favorite children’s author and I love all her books. This one is no different, it’s so good. Its the story of someone wanting fish for breakfast so they had to go fishing to try to catch some. Well there was no fish but while they were there a crazy storm came up. The water all got sucked up by the storm and it started raining. Once the rain began it was no ordinary rain, it was raining Fish and Frogs. All over the place. Then real rain came down and refilled the lake. I love these books because there is always a lesson involved and the pictures are always amazing. My nephews have loved every one of these books. They would make great presents. Its best for young elementary students!

This is the 6th book in the Fateful Justice series. I haven’t read any of the others and was able to read this book without too much confusion. When I chose this book, it was because I loved the premise of the story. I feel like it missed the mark though. While the author was trying to tell the story, she may have, at least in my opinion, gone a little hard on the cliches. Not that I don’t love a good cliche, but there is a line that crosses into too many… I also (and hear me out, because I love a good smutty book just as much as the next.) but the sex for the sake of sex was a bit excessive. I feel like maybe if it had been more sporadically used it may saved it for me. I wanted to love this book, but I had so much trouble finishing it. I do plan to try and read the other books in the series, in hopes that maybe I just need to start from the beginning to follow better.

Hope For a New World is Book One in The Hope Series. It is a sci-fi fantasy that contains the underlying message about protecting the environment. The story is told from the POV of several characters that are easy to get emotionally invested with due to their strength, courage, and determination to save mother earth. The earth has been destroyed by power, corruption, greed, and pollution. One group of strong women sets off on a mission to heal mother earth. This book had an intriguing storyline with fantasy, action, suspense, and a strong underlying message about climate change. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading Book Two.

This was brilliant!! It follows Karina as she promises her Grandmother on her deathbed that she will move back home and carry on her business for her. Her Grandmother Gigi asks her to read her journal and Karina promises she will but then the journal goes missing. Frantic Karina makes a list of suspects, all who frequently go into the cafe. Karina goes on a journey of self discovery, uncovering secrets Gigi kept from her including a secret lover, a stash of money and a secret sibling! I couldn’t wait to get to the end to see how it all turned out and find out of she finds answers to all her questions and if she actually finds the journal. I couldn’t put it down once I’d started it! Loved it! I’ve read a few of this author’s books and this did not disappoint! Loved it!!

The Befallen (The Unsung and The Wolf Duology) by Cambria Williams is a great dark fantasy book
Sloane, sheltered, yet persistent, believes she’s capable, and longs for everyone to see past her disabled leg. Selling at Market Day unaccompanied is the chance to prove herself. But when she returns home to her village, she’s shattered to discover the Befallen has killed everyone. Having nothing but her faith in the goddesses of the moon, she’s forced to test her strength in the outside world. Sloane realizes the kingdom is dangerous even without the Befallen: full of thieves, thugs, and, worse, heretics.Sloane is further shocked no one seems to know the entire legend, which promises a hero will defeat the Befallen. When she learns an order of knights have vowed to fulfill the legend, she’s determined to help them.
Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story transports you into this world. I couldn’t put the book down.

Luna is a husky that loves to play and have fun. She loves the snow. She is a husky with a lot of energy and enjoys her life. The only issue is that she is unable to howl like her siblings. No matter how hard she tries, she is unsuccessful. Not when the moon is high in the sky, nor when her brothers and sisters are singing in unison. And no one knows why. Will Luna find a way to howl?
How could I pass this up? The title and art caught my attention. I love the illustrations, in addition to the cute and vivid colors used.
I loved the friendship she developed with a cat. And I loved the message and the heartwarming story.
There are even more interactive activities to do after reading the book. I personally loved hide and seek and the word search.
