I was so invested in Lauren & Jake’s story from the beginning. Lauren is really working tot fill a gap she has noticed in the system since she was a child. She is more than just a social worker but she is truly wanting to better the community she’s in. Jake is trying to protect the community in his own way. He wants to protect people and hold the bad guys responsible. Lauren & Jake have a past and the mystery of when Jake will be able to tell Lauren the truth and not push her away keeps you interested beyond the romance.

This is the 3rd book in the Be With Me Series. This is a second chance romance which is full of angst, confusion, betrayal, heartbreak, trust issues and the sweetest of connections and chemistry. The author writes a beautiful story and you can’t help but feel invested in the characters and their lives.
We start the story with Lauren. She hasn’t had the best start to life. Her childhood has left her with a deep mistrust of people which has stopped her forming relationships with her peers. That is until she meets Jake. The closer they get the more she lowers her walls and let’s him in. But then something happens and she feels betrayed by Jake and her walls go back up. But was Jake really to blame for that incident? Fast forward and their paths cross again as Lauren, now a social worker and Jake, a police officer work together to protect 2 children and give them the best Christmas ever. However the more time they spend together the more they realise what they had lost all those years ago. The question is once Lauren learns the truth will she be able to forgive Jake and start to let her walls down again or will she never be able to trust him and they lose any chance of the happily ever after they both deserve.
This is a really moving story. I can understand Lauren’s way of protecting herself by closing herself off to the world and to the risk of falling in love and getting hurt but she is also denying herself the chance to find true happiness. I loved Jake’s character. He wasn’t in the wrong and has always been a kind caring soul and his determination to prove to Lauren that he would never hurt her made me love him even more. No matter what she threw at him or how she tried to push him away he stood firm to prove to her that she could trust him.

This is a great collection of holiday spirited stories. A collection by some new authors for me and a couple of ones I have read in the past. Each story is unique, engaging and has holiday romance. They will add heat and warmth to your holiday season. There is something for everyone in this book. A guarantee to warm up your day and night and put you in the holiday spirit. I enjoyed these stories and I think you will too. I highly recommend this anthology.
This would be a beautiful tool for kids. As a teacher and a mother, there are great lessons and affirmations for useful conversations with kids. I find that kids need reminders of positivity since they are sponges of environmental factors. I think this would be something of importance in developing children with empathy and high self esteem.

This is a new author for me which I enjoyed reading. I look forward to reading more from this series as well as seeing what is next for this author. This is a well written holiday romance story that will pull at your heartstrings in parts. The characters pull you into their world with ease and keep you engaged to the end. They are connectable, relatable and had me hoping they would find their peace with healing. A story where two people are in need of healing but will they be able to heal each other? A second chance at a romance story you don’t want to miss. This is a story that brings the holiday spirit and romance together in a great story. I really enjoyed the characters and what they brought to the story. I highly recommend this book.
This was a really nice read and full of such positivity. The story is aimed at Asian boys as the title suggests but I think if read in a setting all of the children who might listen to this could benefit from some of the positive messages that come across in the book. The story is beautifully illustrated and would definitely capture the interest of young children.

The third book in this installment did not disappoint. There is so much detail in such a short book. Makayla finds herself back at the Grave diggers Acedemy fle the third year, but this time, she isn’t allowed to leave. In the book Makayla continues to grow in her magic and when she is forced to rely on herself, she finds her powers are much stronger than she ever imagined. Small details build up and all culminates in the conclusion of this book. I do not recommend reading this without the first two books; it is definitely not meant as a stand alone.

Jay & Sasha You can read this collection without having to read the other series associated with it, but if you want to know more about the characters you should read other works by this author. When I first ran across the Sasha character (in a previous series), I didn’t like her very much. She was creating a lot of drama. In this story, you get a better understanding of why she is the way she is. I changed the way I felt about her in this book. As you read this story you are likely to feel a wide range of emotions. The story keeps up a good pace and has characters you can connect to. Suspense, steamy scenes, danger…overall a great read.
Matt and Marenah There were a couple of parts toward the beginning that grated on me a little, but it wasn’t enough to ruin the whole story. It starts off with a bang and maintains a good pace throughout. There are plenty of steamy scenes and suspenseful moments to keep your attention to the very end. It took me a little bit to warm up to Matt…that Princess bit just was not working for me. I enjoyed Marenah’s feistiness, and how many layers there are to her character.

I really enjoy reading different kinds of affirmation books, quotes, journals, etc. They are such good and important reminders to us all during our busy hectic lives. Children also need their own affirmations so they can develop a mindset to support their own things once they are older and in times of need. This book is an absolutely amazing choice for children. All children should receive a copy of this book when they are starting school. For them to learn and implement kindness, generosity and most importantly self-care is such an essential and integral part of their development. This is a great bedtime reading book. I need to calm down for a moment reading and even for teachers to have this book in their classrooms. Children should be given a physical copy of this book as it has such beautiful illustrations of many different types of children in so many scenarios as well as blank pages in the back of the book to write other great sayings and affirmations.

This was a really nice, relaxed read and one that I really enjoyed. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from her in the future. Andy and Anne were lovely characters to read about. Andy was so sweet in the way he went about trying to court Ann, I loved the innocence in the letter writing and how their relationship developed through this. This was a lovely, heart warming story and one that I would recommend.
This book was so good! I love a good trigger warning. I am not a big fan of the MM expletives, but I am not a fan of MF expletives either and I am married to a man. BUT, I cannot fault the author for that because the storyline and even the expletives are incredibly well written.
This book hit me in the feels. Benji and Milo are two amazing characters with an immense amount of personality. They both have been through a lot dealing with the loss of Kellan and their parents not being the best. However, I love a good happy ending. I cannot recommend this novel enough. I may have found one of my new favorite authors!

Mission Target is the seventh book in the Jake Wolfe Thriller Series and is a Action Thriller that will have you turning the pages till the end. This series just keeps getting better and better. The attention to detail along with fully developed characters make for a adventure. The twists and turns had me turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Jake’s back at it again but this time the mystery has him in a race against time. What will happen when he is faced with his past and can he find a way to leave it there? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to see what this author brings us next.

Be True with Me is a wonderfully written Contemporary Romance/Second Chance interracial Romance that will take you on quite the emotional journey. I’ve read other books by this author and this one is definitely my favorite yet. This is a sweet short story that will pull at heartstrings . These two dated in college but was torn apart by a misunderstanding. Several years later they are now working on the same case. Lauren is a social worker and Jake’s a cop. These two definitely have chemistry between them. Can she open her heart to him? Will she give him the chance to explain what happened all those years ago? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Wicked Ends is Book #8 (but the 10th instalment) in the Hidden Valley Elite series by Isla Vaughn. Not going to lie – this was a bit of a bittersweet read for me as I really needed to know how Shane and Winter’s story turned out – but I also knew that this was not only the conclusion to their story, but to the series too……and I’m not ready to say goodbye! But what a great way to round out the series! Gah, this series has been one heck of a ride, and I’ve loved every minute! Each instalment just seemed to get better and better as we went along. It is incredibly hard to choose a favourite out of them all. But I really wish there were more to come still…. As with the other books in the series, this is a New Adult, enemies-to-lovers “bully” romance with plenty of chemistry, sizzle, angsty drama, love, hate, passion, emotion, tension, intrigue, suspense, revelations, family dynamics, and a little mystery. As we previously discovered- The ‘Elites’ are brothers Cole and Damon and their cousins, twin brothers Phoenix and Shane. Each of the elites get their own book/s – and this one (Book #8) is the engrossing conclusion to Shane and Winter’s story. And OMG Ms. Vaughn has made them jump through hoops to find their HEA- or do they? I’m not going to tell. Again, as with the other instalments, this is not a light and fluffy read- as there is a lot of darker content, which I won’t go into because I don’t want to spoil anything for you. But highly suggest checking the content warnings before diving in, because there are some disturbing/unsettling details contained in the book/series. So keep that in mind, especially if you have any triggers. Yes- I was expecting it, and Ms. Vaughn certainly delivered- but pretty sure she enjoyed toying with my anxiety and playing with my emotions the whole way through the book and series! And I would happily turn around and do it all over again. I am excited to see what Ms. Vaughn might do next! Happy Reading…

Master of the Abyss is the third and final book in the Painted Souls Series by Rob Samborn. It follows up from The Prisoner of Paradise (Book #1) and Painter of the Damned (Book #2)- so if you are yet to read the first two books, then I highly recommend that you do so before diving into this final instalment. This is a continuation of the story and there has been a lot that has happened previously that you will want to know going into this book. There is a lot of important storyline details, character information, interconnected elements/threads, and intriguing backstory that you need to know in order to get the ultimate reading experience from this book. Julia O’Connor (and friends) has her work cut out for her here- as she is thrust into a quest to not only to save her husband and the multitude of souls trapped in eternal torment, but turns out that she’ll need to save the world from a psychotic religious fanatic bent on utter domination, as well. What happens makes for a page-turning read. Although I didn’t want this series to end, because it has been such a great read- this conclusion to the series is everything I could have hoped for, and more. Mr. Samborn didn’t rest on his laurels, and yet again, upped the ante to bring us another well-written, multi-layered, gripping, and incredibly ‘visual’ story. With plenty of dramatic developments, tension, action, danger, supernatural/paranormal elements, a high stakes quest, an ancient relic, suspense, twists, intensity, adventure, intrigue, historical details, agendas, complexity, layers, mysteriousness, an ancient journal, and so much more – made for a very gripping historical thriller. This was edge of your seat reading at its best- OMG I devoured this book in one sitting as I had to know how everything played out in the end. And as expected from Mr. Samborn- the tension mounts to an all-time high- making for a quite a riveting read. The Painted Souls series would definitely make a fantastic movie, or epic television series! I am eager to see what Mr. Sanborn has up his sleeve for us next. Happy Reading…

When Karina comes across a Civil War Era ghost trashing her aunt’s study she thinks it’s just throwing a tantrum. That is until she discovers clues in how the thrashing happen. The cops have everything wrong according to what she is being shown, but how will she convince them of such things? Will she be able to bring Vera back alive? These books were too good to put down. Each one could be read as a standalone if you wanted, but I much preferred reading them in order. Hope For A New World is the first book in The Hope Series (Gaia’s Voice Series) by Renee W. Peek. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Peek, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But the cover intrigued me, and the blurb sounded interesting- so I set off to explore. What I discovered is an original story with quite a lot going on. There are multiple characters, and multiple POVs too, which expands the story considerably. It is a Sci-fi fantasy, with a bit of a ‘message’ about the world/environment, and our part in it all. From environmental messages to telepathic messengers, new-age type beliefs, giving the planet/s a ‘voice’, tension, challenges, drama, and hope – this story takes place in a futuristic setting (2133 -2138)- so over a hundred years into the future. Whilst I did appreciate the story and messages it contained, I found it difficult to connect fully with some of the characters which made it hard to fully invest in them and the outcome of the story. Some of the characters were very ‘fleshed out’ while others not so much, even though they were part of the ‘main cast’. I really wanted to know more about them, I guess. Some of the dialogue seemed a little stilted and curt/blunt, which made for choppy/clunky interactions. Also, some of the transitions were abrupt, making for a rough flow at times, and adding a little confusion (for me), which kept pulling me out of the flow. But the overall story was intriguing, and I really liked the premise. Don’t let my opinion put you off grabbing a copy and diving in, as looking at the other reviews, I seem to be the only one with any concerns at all – so this is probably a ‘me issue’. Snap up a copy and make up your own mind. I am curious to see where the series goes from here, so will explore the other books to find out. Happy reading…

True to style she gets herself into another scrape, but she is adamant that she will not be calling Mike to save her. She’s no damsel in distress but she may not have a choice. A friend of sister Jillian has been dropping money that she shouldn’t have on the salary of a teacher. After being accused of theft and having some loose diamonds fall out of her purse she sure does look guilty. It’s now up to Karina, Jillian and Silverthorne Security to find out whonl set up Jillians friend. The only problem is they have dug too deep this time. She won’t be able to pull herself out of this hole without help. Will Mike be willing to help her or is he still too upset over the break up? These books keep getting better as they go. I love the plots and how they characters have continued to develope with each book.
