I really enjoyed this. Having the 2 sisters stories together and reading from each perspective and how the same story ended for both sides was actually really cool. I loved the men in these stories. Especially Jay, something about him and his devotion was truly inspiring and I wish all men would take a lesson 🙂 Cannot wait for the second duet series 🙂

An unbelievable story that led me to the final 7 series of Jake Wolfe and his adorable war dog Cody. Mark Nolan did it again to capture my attention by guessing who is the master killer or criminal causing harm to all whom Jake and Cody care for.
In this story, someone is using a type of drug that causes many people to die with no reason to. But when the wrong people use it they use it as a dangerous weapon to destroy a lot of lives. Once again Jake in relay on his war dog Cody to find the mastermind of this drug before more people die.
I truly recommend anyone who loves a nice cozy mystery that takes you on a roller coaster each book leads you to a new adventure.

I love the Jake Wolfe series, every book has different mysteries and killers that either Cody the war dog is part of or Jake alone has to track down the killers.
Jake takes Cody to sniff out a bomb in Florida, and each minute he loses time or gets closer to stopping it. But as each killer sees that Cody is sniffing the crime that is about to happen, the killers mark Jake and Cody as a target.

This was one of my favorite books because it was Cody, Jake’s dog joining in this crime thrilller saving the world from a cartel deal gone wrong. Cody has been trained to sniff out crime and help Jake find bad people before more harm comes their way.
In this story without giving out too much, a drug deal goes wrong when the cartels are after a package that can harm a lot of people, when it reaches Jake and Cody they are determined to save the world once again. This story is book 4 amazing details by Mark Nolan.

Mark Nolan the author of Jake Wolfe Series is catchy to read. Book 2 of this thriller series, I was hooked! I love all the twists and turns in these mystery books. So far, I am enjoying all the books that I read on Mark Nolan. I have read this month all 7 series and I can’t believe how Mark put all the stories together knowing that you can read them individually.
In this story, we have a wife Lauren Stephens with her family, who thought she had it all but in all rich families there must be a deep secret. She needed help from Jake Wolfe to find out where her husband went missing and why. Can Jake Wolfe and his dog Cody continue to help others in need, or will this be the end? I have to say nope because there is more to these series.
If you love a mixed roller coast this book is for you. There are a lot of falls and high that will leave you in your seats. Wait until you read the next book after book 2.

What can I say, I read about 3 books from this author Mark Nolan. By the 2nd book, I was hooked. I love all the twists and turns in these mystery books. The characters are well played out and have amazing plots.
Jake Wolfe is a veteran, who spends most of his time as a photojournalist admiring Van Gogh’s paintings. Then we have the main character who is The Artist killer. When these two collided during a murder scene that Wolfe should not been there, The Artist Killer made him the next victim.
If you love a mixed roller coast this book is for you. There are a lot of falls and high that will leave you in your seats. Wait until you read the next book after book 1.
I’m a true crime lover, and I listen to some pretty awesome podcasts about crime, that lead you down the path of mystery. I was so excited to get deep into this book and read a work of fiction that is crime related. Loved reading this book so much and I need to find the time to catch up on book’s 1 and 2! I originally forgot that this is a stand alone book! I was so easily able to follow the story and this is book number 3 which is quite amazing. I love that i was able to get lost in the mystery, and though at times I wanted to solve it, I was STILL wrong!

Wayward Romance and suspense and a whole lot of bodyguards. No spoilers here, you need to read it to believe it. Sasha Koslov is a Ballerina from Russia. She is talented as well as a strong willed woman. When she finds herself in trouble, in comes Jay the head honcho with an elite security team. Not where he was supposed to be, Jay takes the woman and offers her protection. He really has no clue who she is, until trouble comes knocking at his door. This author has done it again. This story is a quick read. Only because once you start, you can’t put it down. It is full of action as well as a great romance story. I love her characters!! Jay and Sasha are both trying not to fall for the other. This story did not end like I had anticipated, I was wrong every time I thought I knew what would happen, I was wrong. I LOVE this series. Not for those under 18 due to the adult theme.
Undercover This is a full length novel. You will find , hot and steamy romance and suspense all rolled into one fantastic book. Not for those under 18 due to language and adult situations. Marenah is the granddaughter of the Russian Mafia Family.. She is being hunted down by many people of the Chicago Mafia as well as the Russian Mafia. When she goes looking for answers about her grandfather. She finds herself captured in a basement with Matt, and the Chicago Mafia has them. They are fortunate to escape, but that does not mean she is free. Now she has two mafia groups after her. She is in the fight of her life. Will she get things taken care of? Will she and Matt find a way to make things right?
Once again this author has done it. This story is filled with feelings. Love, suspense, and one rollercoaster of a ride, on this reading train. Marenah is one of her characters and she is strong as well as smart. Matt is also in the mix and he is very protective of those around him. This story will get you involved on page one and keep you reading until the end. The author will keep you glued in her books. I look forward to the next series and see what she has in store.

I read this book along with my three-year-old, and we both love it! This has become one of her go-to books that she will request at any time of day. I love the concept of affirmations using the alphabet, and the illustrations are vibrant and eye-catching. I will read each page, and she will echo each affirmation loud and proud! My favorite part of the book is the discussion each page can provoke. For example, if it says “I am helpful to others,” we can then talk about a time she was helpful to someone that day or things she could do TO be helpful. Just the other night, she got to pick what we had for dinner. I told her that was a wonderful idea (spaghetti!) and she replied, “I have UNIQUE ideas!” And my heart melted…So, it promotes vocabulary, too! I whole-heartedly recommend this book. It is delightful and a breath of fresh air for anyone of any age! Five stars!

This is the 8th book, but the 2nd book in Shane’s duet. I have said this before and I will say it again from the roof tops, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this entire series. I am NOT ready to say goodbye. Every single character in the entire series is super relatable, and even their experiences are as well. You do not need to read the other 6 books, but I highly do recommend that you do as that they are all wonderful in their own unique ways and it also heightens the experience for the rest of the books in the series, including this one. This book definitely is an amazing way to end the duet, and the series as a whole.
Now, on to this book specifically. I adore Shane, he has always been one of the characters I just CRAVE to know more about. Winter also captured my heart immediately. There is plenty of chemistry, angst, drama GALORE, love as well as hate, revelations, family, and of course just the right amount of some mystery!
This is not a lovey-dovey type of romance it is a bully romance; I repeat A BULLY romance. Please check the trigger warnings if you have any.
Throughout the book, Winter and Shane seem to be both not necessarily “stuck in the past”, but most definitely dealing with trauma that happened in the past. For Shane, it is his father, who wanted nothing to do with the boys (him and his brother) for years, until recently. But now, it seems the reoccurring theme with his dad is – MONEY. Winter’s sister, Summer, was supposedly drowned by her mother. Winter’s mind has been blocked and she’s begun to wonder if there is more to what really happened. That is until recently she has been remembering more and more about what happened to her.
Winter is almost abducted, and everything just gets M-E-S-S-Y! While Shane is dealing with his greedy Grandfather who wants Shane to pay a steep price for money assistance. Money that his father is asking from him, putting him in a horrible position in order to get the money.
The two finally come together, to help figure out who has targeted her and why?
This book, and the first part of the duet, will have you falling in love with both of their stories. The character development is amazing. The plots themselves are outstanding and not typical. This is a series that I will continue to reread over and over again. The characters will always live rent free in my brain! The book and the series are highly addictive, and you won’t want to wait a minute until you have read it to completion!

I’ve read both the first and now second of the Shadow Defense Security series books, and what I like about the series is that they definitely connect (overlapping characters, to a degree, the Shadow Defense Security Agency, etc.) but you absolutely could read them as stand alone novels as well. If I really had to choose, I enjoyed this book even more than the first; the character development was entertaining and I found myself incredibly invested in the progress of the crimes being committed (and whodunit!) Definitely recommend!
A dark mafia/bratva romance which had me captivated throughout. I loved the fact that this was two books in one as it meant I could ‘binge read’ them! Book one tells Jay and Sasha’s story, Jay protects people for a living but it’s just a job, until he meets Sasha. When she ends up on the wrong side of the mafia Jay is determined to keep her safe. Then claim her even if it means going up against one of the most notorious crime families. Book two is Sasha’s twin sister Marenah and Matt’s story. Matt comes across Marenah whilst on an undercover assignment, but as the granddaughter of the head of the Russian Bratva she’s not exactly who she appears to be. However, Matt is one of the most feared and ruthless protectors in the business and is determined to claim, her even if she is an off-limits mafia princess. I did fall in love with both Sasha and Marenah, two fearless women and Jay and Matt the men who will do anything to protect them. The storylines and plot in both stories kept me gripped, and the characters and settings were brought vividly to life through the descriptive narrative. The fiery and passionate chemistry between the couples really came across, and I loved how their relationships developed throughout the stories. An enjoyable and engaging read, where each story and couple have a guaranteed HEA!

Whispered Surrender is a fantastic book containing two amazing stories Wayward and Undercover by the very talented Via Mari.
Wayward
I was hooked from beginning to end with this thrilling and exciting dark mafia read! It had everything I love in a story and more! I was swept along with the characters story and also to all of the places their story took me! The authors writing was beautifully detailed, I could imagine all of the places she was describing. I did feel like I really knew the main characters Jay and Sasha and I was so invested in their story from the past to the present to their future. I have read quite a few books by this author and she never fails to bring me a story that I love but I can honestly say that this one is absolutely my favourite of hers – it was simply an outstanding read! It has gotten me very excited for what’s to come from the series and I cannot wait!!
Undercover
I absolutely LOVED this story! It is yet again another amazing read by the very talented Via Mari! I was hooked from beginning to end and I could not put it down at all! I loved Marenah and Matt! Their story was definitely full of action and a lot of steamy moments! I love how Ms Mari has intertwined characters from her other two series into this new one – although it is not necessary to have read them this book reads perfectly as a standalone. I thought Marenah was a fantastic character, so strong, independent and she could definitely hold her own when it came to it! I loved reading about her! I think I fell in love with Matt pretty much straight away! There was just something about him, so genuine and likeable. The moment that Marenah and Matt met I just knew (and hoped) that there would be something between them, apart from the attraction and chemistry there seemed to be something a little deeper there. I am really looking forward to reading more from this series and as always this author! I 100% recommend this amazing read to others!

Raining Fish and Frogs is another interesting children’s book from Lois Wickstrom. Its an introduction to different weathers but in a fun and engaging way for children. The story is accompanied by some beautiful illustrations that are sure to capture children’s interest from the start. There’s a great science project at the end of the book too – something we’ve come to expect from this author. I’m sure little enquiring minds would be wanting to find out more about whether a tornado can in fact suck up fish and frogs!

What a fascinating story. I loved the shapeshifting aspect to it. The historical part of the story was similar to Tuck Everlasting, as had been recommended. I have never read that book. I did find this story attention keeping, able to draw me in and quite intriguing. I found the characters to be developed very well. The detail was good. It’s a story that I’ll read to my grandson when he’s a little older. I believe it’ll grab his attention.

Another heartwarming romance in this enjoyable series. This engaging small town, second chance romance had me captivated throughout. Social worker Lauren and Cop Jake meet again after ten years when they are assigned to the same case, and in order to give two children the Christmas they deserve, must work together. Lauren was a foster home child herself and learnt the hard way that not everyone is who they appear to be. However, a special lady took her in and showed her how to trust again and now she wants to be that person for other children. Unfortunately, Lauren’s first love also then betrayed her which left her devastated. Jake also learnt not to trust everyone when a classmate not only betrayed his trust but violated it when he publicly shared something private. Lauren and Jake need to be able to forget the past and rebuild trust between them if they are to give love a second chance. The main characters are both likeable and relatable and their chemistry really came across in the narrative and led to some steamy scenes. I also liked how their relationship developed throughout the story. I felt invested in Lauren and Jake’s second chance at love and was cheering them on hoping they would get their HEA.

Murky Murder was a fun cozy mystery read and one that I really enjoyed. I haven’t read anything by this author previously but I definitely will be reading more from her. I really liked Ivy, she’s a great character. The authors writing was really engaging to read and the descriptions of the hotel really helped me to imagine what I was reading. There were so many twists and turns in the story which I loved as it kept me entertained from beginning to end. Ive not read many cozy mystery books but I can definitely say this was great and I’ll be exploring the genre more in the future and absolutely reading more from this author again.

There are some truly entertaining tales found in this book. I found alien tales to paranormal. There’s a little of everything. I loved them all because they made me chuckle. It was the perfect read to start the holiday season off with. It isn’t something I would normally have picked up and I am truly glad that the book was recommended to me. I am now recommending it to romance lovers out there. It’s a wonderful holiday read full of short romance reads that are perfect to fill time whether you’re at home or maybe waiting at an appointment, etc. Go ahead, hit that One-Click, you won’t be sorry.
This is an amazing read. I love the you don’t have to wait long for the next book in a duet. The fact that this is both books in one makes it so, so, so much better. This book has everything from suspense to steam. I am all about a few really hot bodyguards falling in love. Since they are body guards I both books, you can imagine that there are going to be twists and turns that you don’t see coming. I love when a book can make me think a certain thing is going to happen and then completely blows me out of the water when it doesn’t. I couldn’t put this down until I was done reading it. It has me getting angry along with the characters, shocked by some events, chewing my nails trying to figure out what is gonna happen next, and fanning my face because the heat just pours off the pages. If you like fast paced, jaw dropping stories, this book is for you. If you don’t want to wait to get the next book, this book is for you. I honestly read it and it felt like it was just a continuation, even though there was a focus on other characters. It is seamlessly written and is definitely going to be an author I keep tabs on. This is a duet collection that you must have. These two stories are the most intense, thrilling, dramatic, adventurous, and most steamy ones that I have read in a while. I couldn’t put the book down. This author is known for her magnificent writing when it comes to mafia stories. This does not disappoint at all. The writing is most engaging and very contemporary. You are sucked right in from the start. The characters are both endearing and adventurous. They are both good and naughty. I couldn’t get enough and I can’t wait to get into book 2 of the Sinful Duets collection.

This was a sweet holiday inspired, yet it can be read anytime, romance. Andy and Anne had both gone through some relationship hardships. Andy came back into the fold and had hoped to court Anne. He went about it in a different way. He was a secret pen pal. This intrigued Anne to say the least. Watching this relationship grow and develop was heartwarming and endearing. They did have struggles and were able to get through them. I really enjoyed the story. You felt the emotions. The characters were very relatable. Anne’s family were very supportive of her. It’s a beautiful story that showed God is always with you. A story that I highly recommend.
This covers year three of Makayla’s school year. It’s a good story and easily kept my interest. It was nice seeing all the characters and seeing what and where they are now at. Makayla runs into a bump in the road and has to figure out how to compensate. The ending is a surprise and makes me wonder what will happen in the next book.
I like the covers of these books! Really drew my eye! I feel the author could really expand on the story if so desired. There are so many ways that this could be taken. I almost felt the story was good up to a point then it was a quick abrupt ending.

This is such a fun positive read! It is easy to read and using the alphabet to put these positive thoughts out there. I could see using one a day. There also are cute pictures with correlate with the affirmations. I can see kids of all ages enjoying reading this alone or having it read to them and discussed. Happy I stumbled across this one!
