The chapters are short and easy to read with pictures to help your little reader feel amazed at finishing a chapter book. The story is engaging and will keep kids reading to discover who exactly took the mail! Absolutely recommend for your new chapter book reader!!

A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship Series) by Jennifer Spredemann – Review by Jennifer Gordon

A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship #3)A Christmas Amish Courtship by Jennifer Spredemann
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An enjoyable and heartwarming Christmas romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Anne Eicher loves Christmas and the joy of the season, she loves the baking, the decorating and all the holiday festivities. Anne is worried about taking another chance at love, but she hadn’t planned on spending yet another Christmas alone. Which is why she decides to take a chance when she receives a mysterious letter from a secret admirer. Andy Stoltzfus knows that his heart craves Anne, she’s genuine, faithful and true, unlike her sister who left him for another man. Taking a second chance at love he makes a plan to win both Anne’s heart and her hand, but unfortunately the plan backfires! I loved the sweet, faith-filled storyline which along with the lovely characters and the magical setting had captivated throughout. The story was full of Christmas spirit and it definitely did bring a smile to my face and joy to my heart!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I truly Love the Echo Series and find myself getting more and more hooked with every book I read. This talented author always brings to life her characters in such compelling and relatable ways that you just won’t be able to put the books down! Book 4 brings us the story of Lina and Curtis and I just know you will be hooked from start to finish just like I was. We also get to touch base with characters from previous books which I really think adds depth to a series. There is always something happening with steamy moments thrown in so if Romantic suspense is your favourite read then this book is for you and if you haven’t tried it yet then this series is where you need to start!

Dangerous Rhythm (The Echo Series Book 4) by C.R. Alam – Review by La Toya Lewis

Dangerous Rhythm (The Echo Series, #4)Dangerous Rhythm by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dangerous Rhythm by C. R. Alam is a romance with a reverse protector angle. Lina Cheung has to protect Curtis Bissett from someone who wants him dead. The only problem is Curtis is someone that she cannot get past. They have a history and now she has to try to put that aside to keep him safe. I am an old-fashioned girl but I enjoyed the reverse roles in this story. I enjoyed how both characters are written. The plot is not new but refreshing in the way it is presented. This is an invigorating and entertaining read.

As Ivy and Max settle into their date, there is a commotion and they learn that they were in danger. I enjoyed the way this book wasted no time getting into the action. There are so many fun twists. The characters are all fun and fleshed out. I like Ivy and her group of friends. The author did a great job of keeping things interesting and the reveal was good. A very enjoyable cozy mystery.

Grave Digger Academy III (Grave Digger Academy Series) by C.A. King – Review by Kerry Carr

Grave Digger Academy IIIGrave Digger Academy III by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 3rd book in the Grave Digger Academy series. I really recommend reading these books in order so you get the complete picture and complete understanding for the character.
This author is one I am always excited to pick up as I am never disappointed and am always taken on a paranormal adventure that I’ll never forget.

Makayla is returning back to Grave Digger Academy for her 3rd year. But just like the previous years it isn’t going to be easy for Makayla. When she arrives at the academy with her brothers who change their schools to protect her she automatically knows something is wrong.
After all the hype around the Academy Makayla expected the school to be busy so why was it so quiet?
When she notices that some of her friends and teachers haven’t returned she knows she needs to find out what is going on. But can she succeed in getting to the truth without the aid of her helpers? And how dangerous will things become for her when she tries to uncover the truth.
With people questioning whether she is on the side of good or evil she is in a race against time to find the missing people while also keeping herself safe.
Will she be able to survive the 3rd year at Grave Digger Academy?

This is a YA paranormal adventure which is full of twists and turns. It is a fast paced story with great character development. I can’t wait to see what else the author had in store for us with this series.

The third book in the series and I have been waiting to find out what has happened with Makayla, and once again the author has not let us down.<br />The story continues to evolve and is a little grittier and darker than the previous 2 but the plot and characters continue to evolve.<br />The Academy itself has had a turn around and is now where everyone wants to go but there has been a hold on transfers, and all who wanted to transfer out were allocated placements at other academies. So on return Makayla finds things very different. Rules are sharper and even the head mistress is being held under strong views from the Crones.<br />Can Makayla work within the new tough rules and make her way towards her destiny.<br />Another amazingly written book.<br />

A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship Series) by Jennifer Spredemann – Review by Charlene Pryke

A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship #3)A Christmas Amish Courtship by Jennifer Spredemann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Christmas Amish Courtship is a very sweet novel of how Anne and Andy found true love. Both had been jilted in the past after years of courtship.

Andy admired Anne and started a penmanship with her hiding behind anonymity of the title “a secret admirer”- Andy then takes a teaching posting at the local school and as Anne is looking after her younger siblings they are destined to meet again and fall in love. Anne starts to compare little pieces of Andy and her secret admirer and wonders if they are in fact the same person.

I loved the integration of Amish words into the novel and it was very interesting to learn about Amish culture. This is book 3 in the Amish Courtship series by Jennifer Spredemann but I was able to easily read it as a stand alone novel. I will however be looking to read the other books in this series ❤️

Finding the End ZoneFinding the End Zone by Tam DeRudder Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Finding the End Zone” by Tam DeRudder Jackson is a heartwarming romance book that mixes the excitement of American football with a story about love and growing as a person. Jackson tells a story that’s not just about romance, but also about learning more about oneself and facing life’s challenges.

The book focuses on characters whose lives are closely tied to professional football. Jackson does a great job in making these characters feel real and relatable. We get to see their struggles, victories, and emotional journeys in a way that keeps the reader interested from the beginning. The love story in the book is written beautifully, with just the right mix of passion and sweetness.

What makes this book special is how it shows what life is like in the world of professional sports. It shows us both the good and tough parts of being in the spotlight.

Grave Digger Academy III (Grave Digger Academy Series) by C.A. King – Review by Tia Martel

Grave Digger Academy IIIGrave Digger Academy III by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We’re back for year 3 and it just might be the last year at Grave Digger Academy. After last year, it’s a wonder there’s anyone left at this specific school, but what can you do when they refuse to let you leave.

While some things are best left buried, it’s impossible to keep anything hidden long when there is no one left to trust.

Makayla starts out this story with the start of term. It’s year three and maybe this year they’ll actually learn something, but when she arrives with two of her brothers in tow, it seems like things are getting grimmer at Grave Digger Academy.

I enjoyed book three just as much as the first two! It’s fast paced, and quick to follow. My only complaint is how quick it ends! Onto book Four!

This is not a standalone book. You need to read the first two in order to understand the backstory of what is going on in this one.
After reading the first two and loving them, I found book three to be somewhat slower. It took me a little bit to get into it because there’s not a lot of action happening up until about chapter twenty. BUT, you need all the information in this story for what is coming in book four.
That being said, I enjoyed the addition of new helper characters, and Makayla learning how to use her tools. And, as always, I enjoyed the unique interpretations of magic and worldbuilding. I feel like the slower pace of this story is building up to something intense for the next book.
Looking forward to continuing the series!

Wicked Ends: A Dark College Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Series, Book 8 ) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Kerry Carr

Wicked Ends (Hidden Valley Elite #8)Wicked Ends by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow just wow. I have loved this series from the first book and knowing this was the last one made me torn. I was desperate to read it to find out what happens but also I didn’t want it to end.

This is book 8 of the Hidden Valley Elite Series and the second part of Winter and Shane’s story. In this story we finally learn the truth about what happened to Winter’s sister all those years ago and trust me you will not believe the twist.
And we are back with Winter and Shane as they are struggling with past demons and trying to forgive the past so that they can move forward.
This is a very emotional story as we uncover the demons that plague not only Winter but Shane as well. They are 2 damaged souls that need that special someone to help them heal.

I read this book in one sitting even though I tried not to. A part of me feels sad that I have now finished my adventure with the 4 Hidden Valley Elite boys. I have watched them grow, mature, overcome obstacles, find love and also find peace. They all feel like family.
It has been a long time since I have been completely captivated by a series and the characters within it.
If you haven’t read this series yet then you need to. You definately won’t regret letting this family into your heart.

Wayward

I love this book! This is the first book in this new series for this author. Her writing style is creative and engaging. The characters pop off the pages and make the story seem real. They are connectable and relatable, they make the story. In this book, we get to see Jay’s story and what a story it is. He meets Sasha, the problem is she has mafia connections. There is just something about her he can’t get out of his mind. Will he be able to move past that and take her heart? A must read!

Undercover

I loved this story as it is engaging, creative and certainly brings the heat. This author’s characters pop off the pages as well as make me feel as if I was right there with them. This is one of my favorite authors because of the way she is able to tell a story that makes me come back for more. This is Matt and Marenah’s story. One a security guard and the other a granddaughter of the Russian mafia. Will they overcome the struggles they face or will it all be too much? A must read!

Grave Digger Academy III (Grave Digger Academy Series) by C.A. King – Review by Donya Pedigo

Grave Digger Academy IIIGrave Digger Academy III by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the third installment of the Grave Digger series and while you can read it as a standalone, I’d definitely recommend reading the books in order, as a lot happens that you don’t want to miss out on. C.A. King has written this amazing, enjoyable YA paranormal series that encompasses not only magic, secrets, and dangerous adventures, but fun to get to know somewhat quirky characters.

Book three has Makayla returning to GDA for her year three with her brothers in tow as her protection detail. They feel they need to watch out for her, especially after her year-two trials and tribulations. But Makayla realizes things are amiss right off the bat, with missing entities and people. Is GDA safe? What happens when more people start disappearing? Will Makayla herself be next if her brothers aren’t allowed to stay with her? Will she be left all alone since her unique group of friends seems to have bailed on her, or will she encounter others to help her along the way? Can she solve the mystery, stay safe, and make it to her year four at GDA, or will the shadows close in as people question whose side she is truly on? Find out these questions and more in the fast-paced magical tale!

I’m so glad I found this series and can’t wait to see what happens next! Be aware going into this series that these books often end on cliffhangers that leave you salivating for more answers, adventures, and just plain great writing!

Finding out the details against Sasha, he strives to help the one person he feels compelled to protect Marenah although they are both running from the Russian and Chicago Mafia’s will he keep her safe.

Marenah holds a powerful secret which can destroy the two families of the mafia, but they are determined to she her dead. Can the one person she has trusted help her keep alive and can she push down the feelings for this man or will they destroy each other in the process.

OMG I have come to believe that this author is a genesis in the suspense and thrilling nature of her books and these two books do not disappoint. The books are well written as always and holds just enough sexual chemistry, intrigue and thrilling turns to hold your attention all the way through each book. I could not put these books down.

I always love the powerful female characters and Sasha and Marenah are no exception with the vunerability with the added strength is beautiful to read and although Jay and Matt are Alpha male character you have to love a flawed hero at the best of times and these two are said males.

I can’t wait to read more books in this series or by this wonderful author, thank you.

Quick Affirmations for Children is a wonderfully written children’s book that children ages 3-6 will enjoy reading. This teaches children positivity, helps them to be brave, happy and confident. This is a fairly new children’s author to me and I’m definitely going to check out what other books they have. My five year old son loved this book so much we read it four times in row. The illustrations are colorful and tell their own story. We are learning to work through our emotions and this definitely helped. I highly recommend reading this book and we look forward to reading more from this Author.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a wonderful story about Lauren and Jake, college sweethearts who have not seen each other in years due to a traumatic event that caused them to part ways on bad terms due to no fault of their own. Lauren went on to become a social worker, and Jake a police officer both working in the same community for the past couple of years without ever crossing paths until one sad night. Both were called in on a domestic violence case, where they are shocked to be reunited. The twin’s mother is sent to the hospital to seek medical attention, and their abusive father is taken to jail to await his trial. Lauren understands that there is nowhere to take the twins, so she volunteers to take them into her own home. Jake sees this as a perfect opportunity to reconnect with Lauren and to talk to her about what happened in the past in hopes of rekindling their relationship. This story is all about hope for a better future, and the fact that true love can conquer all obstacles, even time.

Slay It With a Diamond (Diamond District Mystery Book 3) by Rob Bates – Review by Maikalani Alexander

Slay It With a Diamond (Diamond District Mystery Book 3)Slay It With a Diamond by Rob Bates
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Slay it with a diamond peaked my interest because of the murder mystery. It was a bit hard to fall along with the transitions of characters speaking in first person versus third. The mystery was a good one but the ending became overwhelming with its information. An entire chapter or 2 dedicated to a couple that weren’t the main.
I enjoyed the female characters quirkiness and her love for solving mysteries, being a good daughter, and striving to become something great.

The last few chapters of the book could be considered an epilogue there really wasn’t much warrant to them other than providing insight to what happens to the non main characters and to the main character. Wrapping up a few ends to something mentioned at the beginning of the chapter.

Overall the mystery was great, I could do without the considerably detailed ending of their life after the mystery’s been solved however I’m sure some will enjoy that.

Lina used to be Army Intelligence but now works security for the band Canis Major. The bassist, Curtis Bisset, witnessed something that he shouldn’t have and now someone is out to get him. Falling in love may not have been in the cards but being in such close proximity and trying to stay one step ahead of the bad guys makes that impossible. Can Lina keep Cutis and both of their hearts safe? Or will they end up broken hearted or worse? This was a great read. I think I read book two and enjoyed that just as well. It was nice to read a book where the female lead was the badass doing the protecting and not the other way around. Don’t get me wrong it’s nice to read about a former Navy SEAL protecting his loved one, but a woman in that role was like a breath of fresh air. The author did an amazing job.

This was a pretty quick read at only 19 chapters but it was well developed. I do have to say that this book does talk about a sensitive subject in one of the early chapters so read at your own risk. Lauren has a rough upbringing but was adopted by Miss Renita and went on to become a social worker. Jake was her first love and she trusted him beyond words. It took a lot for her to open up but that was all torn away in an instant. Now several years have passed and they’re in the same town, working in the same circle, and Jake wants to make things right. He had been looking for her the whole time and now that he knows where she is he’s determined to carve out a place in her life once again. Will Lauren be willing to listen to what really happened and forgive him?

This is book one in the latitude series. The journey of Caitlin and Seraphine is filled with danger, conflict and love as well as secrets that will be revealed. I appreciated the angst of becoming your own person while struggling to put the community first. It made the characters seem more alive on the page. The traveling to places unknown to the characters felt like a crazy adventure!

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets Book #1) by Via Mari – Review by Angela Hayes

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets #1)Whispered Surrender by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars

Whispered Surrender is the first book in the Sinful Duets series by Via Mari. This is a fantastic romantic suspense duet that contains two standalone stories- ‘Wayward’ and ‘Undercover’. I love the way Via Mari weaves her stories with plenty of chemistry, sizzle, danger, secrets, hidden agendas, action, mystery, a whole lot of intrigue, emotion, and so much more. I’m always guaranteed of a unputdownable read when I dive into one of her stories, and that’s certainly the case for this book too.
I love that we get a duet, two fantastic stories together in one book- it really allowed me to sink my tenth into some ‘meaty’ stories. I love the Billionaire Bodyguards, and this is a great way to immerse yourself in their world.
Via Mari is one of my ‘go-to’ authors, and her superb romantic suspense stories come with gripping suspense, intrigue, palpable tension, and sizzling chemistry- while balancing everything with believable emotion.
Another riveting read from this talented author!
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Via Mari!

Dark Moon Secrets (The Witch Moon Series Book 1) by Lilliana Rose – Review by Ayla Phipps

Dark Moon Secrets (Witch Moon #1)Dark Moon Secrets by Lilliana Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fate or choice. Everything is about to change. This is the first book in the new series by the incredible Lilliana Rose. Having read her Protector Wolf Shifter Series, I was very excited and looking forward to this new series. Dual perspectives of Tanjie and Alaric as they face life altering changes that lead to them meeting and so much more.
Tanjie has had a beyond tragic and painful past year and seems the fates weren’t done with her when she sadly finds her elderly neighbor Maria had passed away in her apartment. Since her parents’ “accident” she had focused on finding her own path and making her own choices. Her entire life she rejected her parents “hippie ways” and though odd she found comfort with her neighbor Maria. Like her parents she too had “hippie ways” and rejected tea and tarot card readings at every mention. Only after Maria’s passing and finding her will leaving Tanjie with a “bookstore” is she forced to confront the path she rejected long ago. Alaric is the son of the alpha and is set to take charge of the pack when the time comes but he wants it now. He is restless and always searching for something more when a scent quickly becomes an addiction. The new owner of the “shop” Tanjie draws him in, unable to fight the desire and pull just her smile urges him to finally open his eyes and understand his father’s warnings of power and respect. Tanjie demands to know the truth from Luna, Maria’s friend that was running the shop, but nothing prepared her for the truth. With the help of the sexy bad boy Alaric that drew her to him and the urge to learn more about her power she was finding more reasons to stay. No longer wanting to run back to the city and forget the little town with its secrets.
What will happen when the wolves finally strike demanding power over themselves? Can Tanjie defend herself when the “war” begins? Will Alaric and Tanjie find balance in their species to overcome being forbidden lovers? This author always makes a “normal” world seem so much more when the blinders are pulled back and the supernatural thrives in the shadows of everyday life. Forbidden love is always a favorite troupe and more so when it involves those going against “the rules” and finding their own path, making a better world for all. I was left speechless and breathless by the time I reached the end and instantly began hunting for a release date to book two, New Moon Fate, to see where Tanjie’s story continues. Will she see her wolf again? My eyes are open and waiting for updates. This series is an instant favorite with just book one.
