Maisy has just backed out of a marriage she never wanted for the right reasons, and neither did the man she was set to marry. Maisy wanted to marry to gain custody of her younger brother Bear, while her fiancée wanted to marry to gain access to his own trust fund. When Miller helps Maisy to escape and tries to help her save Bear from their mother who doesn’t really seem to want to parent so much as to bring Maisy down by any means necessary, the pair can’t possibly foresee what is to come. This book is book 4 in the Love on Tap series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Once you get pulled into Ashville and the Blue Bigfoot bar and the family that runs it, you won’t want to leave them…or their pet skunk. I know I will definitely be waiting on pins and needles for the next book in this series…and anything else this writer chooses to put out.

Cray is a crab living on the beach and under the water. He has many friends, whom he likes to play with but whom he also likes to pinch with his pinchers. His friends do not appreciate his way of playing, and wish that he would stop. Some have expressed their dislike of his pinching, while others try to get away from him before he can pinch them. That all changes one day, when Cray loses his pincher, and his friends come together to help him and support him. This is a great book for teaching young kids about not hurting others and how it affects those who they are harming. The illustrations are beautiful and make me wish I were at the beach, pinching crabs or not!

This book was very well written. My only complaint is how short it is. I wish there was more time to get to know the characters. The plot was easy to follow, but again just flew by. Overall, it was a great and easy read I just wanted more substance. It is also nice that it can be read as a stand alone.

I do have to say though, the epilogue hit me in the feels. Both Miles and Alexa obviously have their own communication issues that they need to work through together, but ultimately they found their way to each other and are growing in their relationship. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a quick, easy fantasy romance read!

Test of the Four is the second book in The Serrulata Saga by A.E. Bennett. This continues the adventure we started in ‘Gathering of the Four’ (Book #1)- so if you haven’t read that yet, I highly recommend that you do in order to fully appreciate this story.
As with the first book, this is a sci-fi fantasy adventure with a dystopian feel, action, drama, danger, a ‘quest’ of sorts, challenges, threats, friendship, romance, mystery, tension, and intrigue (just to name a few). The story/series is set in the distant future which adds an extra element of interest to the overall storyline, plus we get several POV’s which gives us a broader perspective of the story/series as well.
After really enjoying the first book in the series, I was excited to embark on more of the adventure, diving this second instalment. While I did appreciate the story- there were times that I felt like this was ‘heavier’, slower going, choppier and more ‘wandering’ than I expected. The author has a very descriptive and detailed writing style, which really helps to paint a picture of the world, characters, and adventure- but at times I felt like this portion of the series/story got a bit lost in all the detail. It just didn’t have the same ‘dynamic’ and engrossing feel (for me) as the first book did…. But there was a lot of ground to cover here, so I put those above issues down to the author setting us up for what might happen in the next book/books. So, I will just have to wait and see.
Leora, Roland, Aurora, and Leopold are continuing their adventure, having left the Realm- but things aren’t going quite so great. We follow along as they face threats & challenges, try to control & hone their ‘powers’, embark on romantic entanglements, and grapple with their own inner demons.
I wonder what the rest of the series will bring…. Stay tuned!

The story continues! I couldn’t start and finish this one fast enough. The author continues building the world around Cole and Riley, engulfing the reader in the story. The attraction between them is palpable, despite hating one another. They couldn’t be from more different worlds and they each have their own secrets, so what happens when they are forced to live in the same world?

The author crafts an intense, engaging read that keeps you turning the page. I quite enjoy the world building. There are times I read books set in high school that aren’t believable or read as if they are adults instead of teenagers and while these teenagers deal with adult themes, I feel like the author does a great job bringing in typical teenage issues that make the setting feel authentic.

I devoured this book and the author has me on the edge of my seat to start the next one!

This prequel introduces us to main characters Riley and Cole, as well as a host of supporting characters like Riley’s mom and Cole’s brother and cousins. The author does an amazing job setting the story and starting to create depth and mystery into the characters and beginning their development through the story. The author sets up an intriguing plot following Riley and her mom, who never stay in any place for long, and also following the super elite Cole and family, riddled with problems of their own. What happens when these two collide?

The author has an engaging writing style. If you’re looking for your next series, get ready to be consumed by this one!

Even after reading the first book in the duet i knew what type of man Kingston was and I really didn’t want to like him, but he worked his way in no matter how hard I fought it.

This book had my head spinning with everything that happened and I found myself flipping page after page to see what was going to happen and how everything would work itself out.

Ava did a lot of growing up and losing of her naivete. She also developed a back bone little by little, especially when dealing with Kingston.

I love the sweet love stories but there is something amazingly interesting a guy with a dark soul.

I cannot wait to read more by Ms. Moran, see her becoming a favorite of mine pretty quick.

After reading the prequel, I couldn’t wait to read this. I really enjoyed getting to know Cole and Riley. Isla Vaughn does an amazing job at character development. Although not necessary, for best enjoyment reading the prequel adds to the background knowledge of the 2 characters.
This story is very fast paced and oh boy does it leave you on the edge of your seat.

Kai is a take-no-guff, force-to-be-reckoned-with spitfire of a director in Hollywood who has big goals to do justice to her movie about a team of SEALs and is seeking professional help. Waters is a physically powerful, dangerous man working consultation jobs until he heals and who doesn’t exist by anything other than Waters. Neither of them have the time or inclination to pursue a relationship, but chemistry seems to have other ideas.

After her previous expert had to bail, he offered her help in the form of calling in a favor to others who may be able to help her in his place and this is where Kai and Waters’ irresistible draw to one another begins. It begins with Kai being able to keep her mouth under control even worse than usual, and Waters acting robotic in order to not let her see his interest in her, while the disembodied voice of ‘God’ coming from all corners of the room. What originally seems like a pretty cut and dried request with a fiery beauty of a director to Waters quickly turns into much more, and that’s not even factoring in their magnetism to one another.

As Waters learns more about Kai, he starts to catch on to her situational awareness and ability to call people for what they are as being survival defenses, but from what? Before you know it, Waters makes it his job to protect Kai from the threats, break-ins and accidents that have now led to her brother going missing. Is Kai being targeted on behalf of her brother? Is she the end goal? Will they be able to keep one another safe, or is it their hearts they need protection from?

There are some parts included that could trigger some readers with assault.

The story is superbly written and full of historical detail, Greek mythology and folklore. Brothers Matt and Adam must race against time to try to solve the mystery around what happened to their father. In this adventure the brothers find themselves without the help of their team and aided only by their wit and skills to solve the mystery. A fast-paced story with twists and turns that will keep you riveted and have you reading until the final pages. I highly recommend this book and this series!

Having only recently read the first book in this series, it was lovely to get back to the characters. They are so entertaining to read about and my kids really seem to engage with them. I loved the premise of this story to; helping friends, looking out for others. It is exactly the message we are trying to teach our kids right now and this was the perfect way reinforce what we were saying.
My daughter seem to connect with this story even more. Environmental concerns and impacts are something she has been learning about recently at school and this book just really helped to put it into context for her in a fun and entertaining way. This is a great story that is worth reading.

I really enjoyed the first book Gathering of the Four in The Serrulata series and was excited to get stuck into the second book Test of the Four. I do recommend reading Gathering of the Four first.
The gang is back. A.E. puts Leora, Aurora, Leopold and Roland through their paces and it is not all fun and rainbows. They are injured, battered and bruised mentally and physically, running from evil, in danger, held captive, come into powers, even find themselves in different times and places plus so much more. A.E has even turned up the heat in this one in more than one way.
This intriguing series is a futuristic dystopian sci fi tale and the first book in this series. As with the first book A.E. wove together intricate multi-layered threads that draw the reader in. The world building and the storytelling gives a vivid picture of this post-apocalyptic world and the compelling characters. The story told in multiple POV’s giving us a broader picture and depth of who the characters are and what they feel.
This intriguing read takes us on an adventure that makes you feel part of the story and had me wanting more.
As I said about the first book, A.E. has set the stage where there are so many options and angles to explore that makes look forward to what could come next.
Do yourself a favour and grab a copy if you love sci fi tales and if you don’t, I can guarantee you will like this series.

when a treaty forces you to marry , Would you abide by the rules?
In the Seven Kingdoms of Vaalbara, there has been war. 500 years of blood shed ended by a treaty only 27 years ago. Tensions are still high, causing a distrust at the academy.
Amelia the Princess of Avonlee, is aware of the cause in the treaty that states She must marry Dane the Prince of Carpathia. On her first day of the academy, she plans to ask Dane if that part of the treaty can be expelled. On their first meeting she finds his arrogance tasteless. Dane is not too fond of her either, but he knows that something binds them together that cannot be broken.
I enjoyed the world building in this book. The POV switches between characters and gets a little confusing but over all a great book. The cliffhanger at the end left me in awe, ready to read the second book.

Test of the Four is the second book in the series. I definitely recommend that your read book 1 first. What cool characters. I loved the personalities. They all had such unique and intriguing characteristics. We had grumpy Leopold to the nonbinary Temple to former Lady Aurora. All the little romances were very interesting. The pairings were sort of explained as the book went along. I felt the book gave more into the back story during the healing time for Leopold. It’s a wonderful series. I can hardly wait for the next to come out.

Miles knows he loves her but she is worried because of past trauma. I plan on going back and reading the first ones so I can learn more.

Betrayal of the Gods is the 5th book in the series, and as with all the others, can be completely stand alone. I will be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started the first one, but I was hooked literally from the beginning. I finished Eagle of the Empire and immediately dove into the next.. and then the next.. and then the next! They are easy to read, totally captivating and I cannot put them down. The blend of POVs between the past and present is amazing. The historical accuracy that also meets fiction, fantasy and what could have been is such a cool twist and perspective. I love how the past adventures and POV provides their own story in and of itself. Then it meets with the current timeline and you get a completely different story that builds on the past of ancient times.

This book takes us to a timeline of Greek heroes and tragedies, battles in Troy, and famous lost cities. I loved exploring the Mediterranean with Matt and Adam and seeing the past come to life as you get the back and forth POV between both timelines. I cannot wait to see what happens next! Will they find out what happened to their father? Will they truly find Atlantis and if so, what will it be like? WHAT on earth is going to happen with the UN and the museum?! So much going on in a single story! Completely hooked!

Blood of the Dragon is the 4th book in the Relic Hunters series and does not disappoint! Such an incredible retelling of Dracula. I am completely fascinated by that tale and I love the unique storytelling abilities provided by the author here! There were Easter eggs in the previous book that alluded to a future vampire tale, and I’m so glad the story was brought to life sooner than I had expected! Such a unique retelling from Vlad’s youth and the backstory on how the monster came to be. I really loved that aspect!

That combined with Adam and Matt fighting the present day Dracula just added a whole other element of intrigue and suspense. Loved it, definitely recommend!

Group Hug is a polyamorous romance novel. Callum and Petra move into the home Weston inherited when he realises he needs to rent out a room or two to stay on top of his mortgage. Their mutual attraction is immediate, and it’s only a matter of time before they work out how to navigate a relationship that suits everyone’s needs and desires.

I particularly enjoy the cosy domestic scenes – sharing meals (Callum’s excellent cooking is described in mouth-watering detail), snuggling up to watch movies and so on. The dogs are a great part of the story, often relieving the tension or providing something for characters to bond over.

Petra is a ghostwriter and has researched and written polyamory in the past, so is on hand to provide definitions of different terminology (eg why this is an MMF book rather than MFM) and suggestions for things they can try in the bedroom. This may be helpful for readers who are less familiar with this.

Another great thing about this book is the inclusion of the characters’ families. Weston has lost his family, and Petra has a difficult relationship with hers, but Callum has a big and loving family who are fun to read about!

This book gets four stars from me. I’d recommend it to fans of romance who are open to reading about a caring and supportive polyamorous relationship.

Curse of the Sands is the 2nd book int he Relic Hunters series, but gives enough backstory that can be read as a stand alone, but also doesn’t bog down the current storyline.
The 2nd book finds Adam battling ancient Egyptian curses, exploring pyramids and saving the world. The shifting POV between current timeline and the past still fascinates me with the accuracy and the fiction blend, and it’s almost like getting two stories in one. I love learning and reading about ancient Egypt and this was a story idea that I had never encountered before, so providing a very unique view point on something that has been written about for ages. Truly a great story!

War of the Damned was incredible! I love history and the back and forth POV between the current timeline and the past is so fun. I love the historical accuracy mixed with the fiction of what could have been. This is the second book in the series, but provides enough backstory that you really could read it stand alone and be fine.
The 2nd dives into WW2 and the conspiracy theory of the Nazi SS soldiers searching to mythical legends and fantastical, mystical ways to enhance their “superior race”. Such a fun read. 10/10 recommend.

I absolutely loved this book! I haven’t read anything by this author before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. This book is great for YA and my son will love it.
This book is like Uncharted meets Gladiator. While definitely a work of fiction, the author takes great care to make sure things are historically accurate as possible- I really got caught up in the adventure and immediately dove into the second book!

Beautiful artwork and beautiful story and lesson to be learned. I love seeing all the friends coming together to clean up the beach and the waters. It was heart breaking to see the turtle, Fay with the pop can plastic around. This is a wonderful book for parents to teach their children about not leaving their trash everywhere, when there are plenty of trash cans accessible, and keeping the world we live in clean not just for ourselves.

A fun book full of short stories of different shifter types, they love they find and the hurdles they have to overcome. My favorite of the short stories was House of Harlots, I loved the heartbreak Ivy goes through and the way her and Jax come together. Along with all the drama with his pack in between. Cat and Mouse was another favorite, Rowan loves Elorah, but Elorah just isn’t getting it. Their story is sweet and I am glad he never gives up on going after her. After I finished Release the Hellhound, I was left wondering what was coming next, it seemed to end abruptly but we get an ending for Ezekiel and Lorna at the beginning of A Mate for Draco. I like how the these two stories flowed one right after the other. Gargoyle Mine was a fun and interesting read, I have never read a shifter romance with a gargoyle and it was interesting how Bryant or Ekkom came to be with Terra.

This is the 2nd book in the Serrulata Saga and the adventure continues for our four-Leora, Roland, Aurora and Leopold. I do recommend reading the first book before this one as it continues from the first book and would be confusing for people if they jumped right in with the second book. The author does an amazing job of world building. Allowing us a glimpse of what life could be like in the future as well as giving us an amazing view into life in the Realm.

After the four of them manage to cross over the border they find themselves in a world that they don’t know or understand. Everything is different and dangerous and with Leora struggling to control her magic and Leopold fighting demons do the four of them stand any chance of survival to return to their realm.
Also with things happening in the realm as well and people’s lives being placed in danger by a soverign that has no control over his power will their be anyone or anything left for them to return too.

This book is a really interesting read with twists and turns, magic and adventure as well as a blossoming romance between Aurora and Roland.
The authors character development has made them feel like family and I can’t wait to continue reading their journey to understanding their powers and themselves in the process.

What a hidden gem of a book!

Wolf is the first book in the Kingdom of 7 Sovereigns series, an incredibly enthralling romance academy read. I have to mention how beautiful the cover is, and that it really caught my eye! Definitely made it hard to resist that age-old saying of not judging a book by its cover! I loved this book so much, the character development was just perfect! I haven’t had the pleasure of reading R.C. Reigh’s work until now, but I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on more of this series!! Just a fantastic read!
