Curse of the Forbidden Island isn’t what I expected. The cover art is what drew me in, I didn’t really know what the story was about, but I’ve read others by this author that I liked. The author is great with words, painting a picture with them. This was a good book, with a unique story line. It is very short- I read it in one sitting, but it is satisfactory, and wraps up as a full story. We get to know the history of the island, it’s curse and the reason for the masks. It was a little more…. graphic, and steamy than I expected- but that warning is in the synopsis.
