Piper Maxwell is having a bad day which only gets worse when her ex tries to talk to her. Enter Wyatt “Bax” Baxter who pretends they are together to shoo the pest away. One drink leads to a night that ignites into passion but both walk away. When Bax sees Piper again they both act on their feelings but Piper is not interested in more than what they have but Bax can’t stop and think she is perfect for him. Now to convince the gun shy Piper who has been hurt before. Can Bax prove he is it for her and would never jeopardize what they have?

There are so many layers to this story that had you wanting to reach out and hug Piper. I thought Bax was perfect for Piper, she has so much she is dealing with. Terrific chemistry, you are rooting for this couple during all the twists and turns during their journey.
