This book is a great addition to the series and a great follow up to the first book. We meet this character in the first book and it is great to see more about her. The overall story is exciting to read. I enjoyed the connection between the characters and the unorthodox nature of it. This author is one that I have become familiar with more and more recently and I always enjoy everything I read. This particular book was exciting to read and had a fast paced nature. I was excited to see how things would turn out and I became invested in the characters. It is a great story that is worth the read.
This is the first book I have read by this wonderful author and I am very happy to say it won’t be the last! I had such a great time curling up to read this Cozy mystery that when I finished It, I was left with a HUGE smile on my face. It has been a while since I have read a mystery and this one did not disappoint at all. Its such an entertaining read filled with a fun mix of characters, in a wonderful small town that will keep you hooked from start to finish!! Trust me lovelies and just get reading!

This book is a brilliant romantic suspense that is all about the characters right at is centre. Even with everything going on around them, their connection and chemistry completely shine through. I loved that they had history between them. I think it added such a depth to their relationship and I became more invested in them. This series is such a strong one. The books are exciting, fast paced and incredible to read. It think this one has to be my favourite so far and it has made me even more excited about what is to come. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish and would high recommend it.

This is a romance book about a girl named Giuliana. Her and her best friend take a girl’s trip every year for their birthdays. Unfortunately, this year her friend’s flight is delayed a couple of days and now she needs to figure out how to spend her time on the island. Lucky for her, she meets a guy on the plane who ends up at the same hotel. They quickly have chemistry, but it’s more than that. Landon is a lawyer in New York, but his rich uncle just left him all of his assets on the tropical island that he now needs to decide what he will do with them. He needs to spend at least 3 months there before deciding. He never thought one of these decisions would revolve around a woman. The couple spends many magical days getting to know each other, slowly falling in love. They want more than just a fling and he pursues her for the long-term. She has had relationship problems in the past and is not sure if this is a good idea, but her heart is saying something different. I loved this book. It was a sweet romance with no bs. The book is a quick read with little drama, great plot, and great banter/romance. Landon is just a gentleman and whatever girl fantasizes about having as a partner. Guiliana was also a great character. She is independent, strong, sassy, but also willing to let go. It was nice to read a romance book without the miscommunication issues, the constant “we can’t” issues, etc. I would read another book from this author.
4.5 stars Damn who doesn’t like a man in a kilt. And a Scottish accent is even better when the two are combined. Phoebe Alexander is well known for writing books where the relationship is outside what is considered the norm and this one is no different. She writes beautiful realistic sex-positive stories really well. The Scottish Play is a polycule Rom Com and the first book in the PolyAm Fam series. I love Phoebe’s writing and her wonderful characters that feel like part of the family that are a close and would do anything for each other. Phoebe draws you in with seduction and love and the unknown. If you have never read anything but vanilla relationships before give this a go because it is well written, and love is love. You never know you just may love it.

AJ has done it again! He has set the bar high with this first book Murder At Music Hall, A True North Murder Mystery. It is the beginning of what is set to be a great series. I love me some good crime stories. AJ does dark crime stories well and just like his And The River Runs Deep this one is cleverly crafted and intriguing. It had me spellbound with the mystery and suspense, intrigue and drama, angst and wondering. I was so consumed by and swept away by the story and the emotions that I soon found the book had ended. True knows this case is going to take everything he has and thinking outside the box is the only way he can get it done. Oh, it’s not the murder investigation he has to worry about. No! it is the rich, manipulating SOB’s that are going to be the biggest hurdles to get around. This well plotted gripping tale draws you in to the darkness and those in the shadows, it sends thrills down your spine and feeling the stress and tension that is palpable and leaping of the pages. It was a long night of reading because even if I wanted to, I could not put it down. This story is full of lies and betrayal, and manipulation. It is an engrossing tale full of twists and turns. I found myself devouring every word turning page after page and I am looking forward to reading more from AJ.

Dancing Butterfly is a historical romance and the second book in the Butterflies Fly Free series by Debra Parmley. Debra’s diversity in the genres she writes is what I enjoy when reading her stories as you don’t always know what you are getting and that is half the surprise.
Dancing Butterfly is set in the roaring 20’s a time of the harsh underworld of gangsters, flappers, dancing, and prohibition. An interesting time indeed and Debra’s passion on the subject makes for an exciting and intriguing read and takes you back and makes you feel like you are there. SukiSuki must decide if she is willing to go along with Frank’s, an enforcer for Al Capone, offer of help and protection but being a gangster moll is not all it is made out to be. Rules and restrictions and obedience is not something Suki is good at. I look forward to more of this harsh yet exciting world.
There are many wonderous things in Grandma’s Closet and in this case, it is Wanda’s. No, they are not magic wands. The Wanda’s themselves are magic. Journey along as Carrie discovers what exactly the Wanda’s can do in this fun tale. Carrie is indeed fascinated by the Wanda’s and seeks out her grandma’s advice, but grandma wants Carrie to use her imagination and explore the possibilities. The story is about bonds, the love of a grandmother and her granddaughter and the magic of life and discoveries. Magic stirs the imagination in young and old alike.
This is over 1000 pages…7 books of sweet couples trying to find their way. Some of these characters go many many years before finding the one they are meant to be with. All of these books are great. Of course everyone has their favorites. Personally it was hard to choose a few favorites out of the series. Rainy Day Lovers is by far one of my faves! All of the characters were totally loveable. The Rocklyn’s are just an average amazing family with great family Values they make the readers root For them all thru each page. Rainy…well really what’s there not to love. This girl is an amazing person even at such a young age, she volunteers and helps People when she can. I was so happy to see her find someone. Maybe Lovers….Jeff, boy oh boy what in the world did he get himself into being engaged to Peyton. I cannot believe how she got away with everything she did for as long as she did. I loved the bartender Carly. She was another one of my Favorite characters in The collection The author did amazing with each one of these books.

This is the first book in the Shattered Embrace series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. What I loved about this book is how deep the author goes with her characters and setting the scene instead of it being a few words and then action. The build up of the characters attraction and witnessing their interactions really brought them to life for me. This is a dom/sub relationship and the author does a great job of giving the reader a complete and full understanding of what exactly that entail in an open and honest way. Zachery is a strong Dom. He runs a club and well as other businesses. He is successful and has never wanted to settle down until he meets Ashton.
Ashton is a sub. She wants to joined Shattered Embrace to rediscover herself. What she doesn’t expect is that the man she is employed by as a consultant is the same man who holds the key to the door of the club she wanted to join.
The attraction is immediate but can they mix business and pleasure? What I love about Aston is that she isn’t a typical shy, meek sub. Even with her Dom she is sassy and says what she thinks which only intrigues Zachery even more? Could Ashton be the one the finally make Zachery settle down? Will the chemistry between them be too much to handle? As the story progresses we learn much about the characters and just how perfectly matched they are. I can’t wait to read the next book.
Okay this was the something I did not expect. It has Daddy/little girl play. I really have not read anything like this before and this was a struggle for me. The actual storyline was pretty good. I like the whole MC v MC and then have the cartel thrown in makes for some exciting things and action that happen. I would recommend this if you are aware of the lifestyle that I mentioned above.

This is an interesting story covering a lifestyle I really know nothing about. I am not a huge fan of BDSM books and was unaware this was one. In here we follow Ashton on a journey of self discovery. I think I learned as much as she did. Ha ha! She is surrounded by Doms unbeknownst to her. Each is learning how to deal with each other in this new role from her besties, old classmates and family. This is an okay story but just not for me.
An enjoyable and engaging cozy mystery which kept me happily turning the pages. Christy Bailey is a children’s book author who’s two cats Milton and Pearl star in her books. The cats are also an important part of her Aunt Betty’s small family wedding, as they are being pulled down the aisle in a wagon dressed in wedding outfits. Following the reception Christy and Micah arrive at the wedding caterer’s shop to help her clean up, but instead of Janie they find her ex-husband on the floor, dead. Unfortunately the local police believe that Janie is the most likely suspect for the murder, but Christy, along with Milton and Pearl start their own investigation to prove her innocence. Once again the author brings the setting of Green Meadow, Indiana vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the story. The intriguing storyline, quirky characters and the cats made this a real page turner, whilst the murder mystery aspect of the plot kept me hooked throughout. Christy is a likeable and relatable main character and I love Milton and Pearl!

If you liked my faults you’re going to like the storyline of this book. Riley is new to town. that’s normal her mom and her travel constantly moving from city to city to exploits their next con. Running to survive Riley father. With her uncle at her side she feels like she can overcome anything. That is till everything changes and her mother decides to settle down. Popular kids always get what they want and Cole is no exception. He his brother and two cousins rule the town. But Cole is bored he wants a challenge and that’s exactly what Riley poses. However things get complicated when they find out they’re going to be step siblings.
The heat is there but they try to ignore it especially when Cole is freezing her out to chase them away from his father. Cole is so confused he’s warring with himself And Riley’s trying to figure out her life find a new norm. Or is this just another con.
My only call out The book is a lot of loose ends. In its entirety you feel like you’re reading a never ending cliff hanger because you get tiny morsels of information but nothing that tells you enough.

In the fourth book of the Powder River Pack Series, Brooke May takes the reader on a journey with Alexa and Miles. After reading the first three books, the reader has been given a glimpse into their journey, but this book really digs into the whole story. The backstory for Alexa with Grant and Teague, and then meeting Miles and her struggles to trust him, followed by some action-packed chapters to really seal the deal. This was another great read and I really enjoyed reading about these characters.

Kingdom of the Oceans completes this part of the series, and was amazing! There might be more that is added onto this series, and it sets up like there might be, but it also neatly wraps up most everything from the series thus far, so no major cliff hangers. The fate of the British museum is still uncertain, as well as how things will play out when Duncan finds out the truth of his mother, and I’m looking forward to the next books to cover those.
The multiple POV continues with present day British Museum staff and past legends of Atlantis. I loved the fictional storyline of Atlantis and the meeting of past and present worlds. Overall a wonderful series and great for young teens to adults.

This book was so cozy and cute! First of all, I loved the name of the bookstore Words to Read By. I really love the characters and all of the ways they try to solve the mystery. I definitely smiled when I read some of the scenarios and enjoy that cats are a big piece of the story. It was definitely a great second piece to the series as I enjoyed the first book as well!

I enjoyed this book. I always love a fake romance that actually blossoms into a relationship. Jackson and Ros worked well together and had good chemistry. This author does a good job weaving the plot and making each book feel different within the genre. I look forward to more by this author.

This is such a good story that involves great characters. A realistic group of friends whose dynamic is not what society deems as normal, but at the same time works for them. Being in a polyamorous relationship is not for everyone. Lachlan learns that relationships are different for different people and that’s ok. Molly just loves who she loves. She understands that everyone is different and has different needs and that’s ok. Sometimes love changes the way you see things.
This is not your average he/she romance. This story is about being accepted for being you. Loving who you want to love. Just generally trying to be happy. Some people in life can say they don’t care what others think but we all want to be loved and accepted. He, she, they, them…we. Love is love and this story shows that.
I like what this group of friends mean to each other. Safety, love, acceptance, home. I love the storyline of how Molly and Lachlan meet, and how their relationship develops. This is a great start to a new series, and I am looking forward to the next story.

The Rocklyns Collection is a boxset of seven books in the Rocklyns Series. Each book follows a different Rocklyn sibling and can be read as standalones but I’m a sucker for reading series in order. This Collection is a Contemporary Romance that will have you turning the pages till the end. I’m definitely putting this collection on my list of rereads. If you’re looking for a good second chance romance, opposites attract, forbidden love then this is a boxset for you. Each story has ,drama ,secrets, forbidden love and so much more. I highly recommend reading this collection and I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Deceptively Yours is the first book in the Titans of Chicago series by Anise Storm. This is the start of a new spin-off series (from Titans of Manhattan), this time set in Chicago. I have loved reading the Titans of Manhattan, so it was a given that I would be diving into this book as soon as it released. This is a bit of a darker romantic suspense with trigger warnings for violence, SA, and more- so keep that in mind before diving in. The story is a second chance romance with forced proximity, painful past history, hurt, tension, chemistry, sparks, sizzle, emotion, lies, secrets, angst, drama, tension, intrigue, action, flashbacks, and is told from a duel (alternating) POV. There were parts of the story which were heart-wrenching at times, where I really felt for the character/s. And as I mentioned above, some of the subject-matter could be considered triggers for some readers – so be warned. This is not a light and fluffy read. Our FMC especially, has been through the wringer. Though, I have to be honest here, I have really struggled with my thoughts on this book and how to put them into my review. As I have mentioned, I have read most of Ms. Storm’s books now and have enjoyed my reading journey with her. But I really struggled reading this book for numerous reasons, one of which was that it felt like it was (almost) written by a completely different author, and not up to Ms. Storm’s usual ‘polish’ (so sorry, Ms. Storm). Let me try and explain. First of all, our MC’s are only 26 and so much has happened to them over the years- as they have gone from childhood friends to teen sweethearts, to then being ripped apart by harrowing circumstances at the age of sixteen. So, I really feel that these two needed to be slightly older now (perhaps 29/30) to really ‘fit’ the storyline/circumstances/life better. But, in saying that, there was a lot of dialogue/inner thoughts which ‘sounded’ much older and more ‘formal’- especially when we were reading from a sixteen-year-olds perspective. There were times that the dialogue just didn’t feel realistic for the situation or characters circumstances/ages, which pulled me out of the story and disrupted the ‘flow’. Then there was repeated information, in the form of inner thoughts/dialogue which was frustrating having to ‘hear’ something we already knew, repeatedly. After a while it just seemed like manufactured angst/drama. Then there was the use of wrong terms (from my perspective) which pulled me out of the story and had me re-reading to confirm what I just read. Which again, is my own perspective/‘issues’ with this book- as others might not even notice or care. There were also terms, sentences/dialogue that seemed quite ‘clunky/bumpy/unneeded/confusing, which made for a choppy feel, and again, pulled me out of the story. And the tenses of the story were in conflict at times, too. I feel that most of these issues could have been caught during the beta read/editing process and would have made the story so much more polished — made it flow/feel so much better (but again, this is just my personal opinion). Then there were the characters – who frustrated me to death with their miscommunications/misunderstandings/manufacturing angst and drama- I went from really feeling for them to wanting to knock their heads together, and that made it hard for me to fully connect with them and invest in their story. I am not trying to sound ‘nit-picking’ here, just trying to convey how I feel, and why this just didn’t connect with me the way I had hoped…… But having loved Ms. Storm’s other works, I am looking forward to seeing what comes next.
