From the moment I started reading this book I found it impossible to put down. It is well written, intense and such a great story. I loved the characters. The push and pull between them is captivating and I could have read about it so much more. Even through the hatred, there was an undeniable chemistry and for me that is what I loved the most about them. I thought the story was really strong. It matched the characters so well and I was swept up in what the author was telling us. I love this authors writing style and this book is a great example of why. This book is absolutely fantastic and I loved it from start to finish.

The first thing I would like to say about this book is that it needs a trigger warning. There are discussions of unwanted assault that I believe needs addressed for all readers.
Other than that, the book is interesting. The characters are easy to understand and they obviously care deeply for each other. It is repeated multiple times throughout the book that they are each others first and only love. Quite tedious, actually, hearing it over and over again. It is also a little frustrating watching Harper and Gabriel go back and forth being irritated with each other. The author stimulated my emotions, so obviously they struck a cord when I read this book. I just do not know that the book is for me.
Overall, I would recommend this book to romance lovers. Perhaps this just is not the romance book for me. There are multiple scenes that are not for young adult readers. I do hope this author continues to write other novels because I enjoyed the writing style, I just hope for a less tedious plot.

This is the 4th book in the Kings of Screen Series. Even though this is the 4th book they can all be read as stand alone reads as they each focus on a different couple. This is a friend’s to lovers story filled with chemistry, push and pull, angst and humour which really brings the story and the characters to life. This is Jackson and Ros story. Jackson and Ros have been friends for a long time and even though Jackson wanted more Ros didn’t want to risk their friendship even though she was attracted to Jackson. So they look like they are destined to remain friends until ….. To clear his name for sleeping with a married woman Jackson tells the world that he and Ros are in a relationship and have been for months. What follows is a story of a fake romance as Ros tries to keep up appearances without falling for Jackson and Jackson tries everything in his power to show Ros that his playboy ways are over and he only wants her. Will he succeed? Or will Ros continue to think it’s just another act?
This was quite the enjoyable lovers to enemies to lovers. A hot one-nighter to lovers after being best people at their friends wedding. I loved the flirty snark in this relationship. Being a snarky one myself, it is so much fun to watch people hide their attraction behind it. You can feel their chemistry as they try to hid the way they feel. I loved the interactions with the teammates and how they had to deal with their friends wedding. Drama, action, steamy romance make for a fun read. It’s definitely a sport romance. I love some of these hockey romances. They are really qyite entertaining. I definitely recommend this one.

This is yet another great installment in the Kings of Screen Series by Morgana Bevan. I’m a sucker for a fake relationship story any day, but it’s hard to find one that really draws me in and feels realistic; however, that is exactly what the author has accomplished here. With the dual point of view, we get to see what both main characters are thinking and feeling as they embark on this new fun adventure, allowing us to feel closer to them and their story. This contemporary Hollywood romance was definitely a fun fast read. I cherished the characters’ entertaining, often sassy banter along with the awkwardness of being forced together. I love the vulnerability Jackson, the main male character, shows throughout as he deals with the walls Ros puts up in order to protect her heart from encountering heartache like her parents went through. Will Jackson and Ros be the next Hollywood IT couple for real or will their fake relationship stay just that? I love this series and have read 3 of the 4 books (somehow I missed Book 3) in it and I definitely want to read more things by this author.

Easy to read and get lost in. I love how the author gives us both Mira’s point of view as well as Declan’s. I like that Declan has lots of layers to him. I like that the romance isn’t rushed. It made it feel more realistic. Definitely a good read.

Dirty Heartbreaker is the third book in the Hamilton Steelhawks Series and is a Contemporary Romance/ Sports Romance that I truly enjoyed reading. I’m fairly new to these authors but like there style of writing and attention to detail This series focuses on different players from Steelhawks Hockey team. This is Colby and Gabriella’s story. He’s a shoot and score kinda guy on and off the ice. But when he’s asked to be best man for one of his teammates he realizes that means having to put up with one person he can’t stop fantasizing about. She’s a former figure ice skater who is now a business women she’s bound and determined to see that her best friends wedding goes on without any issues. One problem she has to put up with the one person who not only gets her worked up but ignites a fire in her. These two definitely have chemistry between them in the bedroom. Can these two have a relationship? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. If you like Sports Romance then this series is definitely for you.

I have read a few books from this author and he still blows my mind. This is the fourth book in the very addictive series the Relic Hunters. You do need to read these books in order or you might get lost. I love a good young adult adventure but this book exceeded my expectations. I started this book right away and I read it in only one sitting. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Adam and Matt are going to go on their first hunt on their own. They are used to having help and more equipment but this mission is more personal. Their journey is in the middle of Greek mythology. They are going to have a lot of skill and tricks up their sleeves. Adam and Matt are so close at getting what they have been searching for but there are things that will try to stop them. Will the brothers get what they want or will they be stoped?

I am saddened to see this series come to a close, because I highly enjoyed this treasure hunting romp. This book and series is so much fun to read for anyone at any age and of course the cover art is stunning. The only thing I suggest besides picking up this riveting series is starting from book one Eagle Of The Empire!

Another Wickstrom story, well loved by my niece and nephew. She has become one of their most asked for authors. Craig and Linda’s adventures with Nessie have become their favorite. They can’t wait to see what adventure they all have next. While this story is geared more toward the 8 to 10 year old range, it can easily be enjoyed by younger children. My family would recommend this book as well as the author.

I really enjoy reading books by this author. I would for sure pay attention to the trigger warnings at the start of the book, because things… get a little heavy and dark. Anise builds a fantastic world for the Titian’s. Harper and Gabriel’s story starts out sweet and then then it takes a turn for the worse. Harper has to leave due to a family tragedy and breaks Gabriel’s heart in the process. Later when Harper has to come back seeking help She seeks out Gabriel help. Gabriel makes her pay for breaking his heart. These two clash like fire and ice, but the joining is oh so sweet. Lots of spicy scenes to keep one’s heart pitter pattering and blood pressure rising. I enjoyed this book a lot and I hope that Anise writes more into this world!

Divinely Dramatic is the second book in the Divine Vintage series by Sandra L. Young. It is another interesting cozy mystery, with a touch of the paranormal which added an extra element of interest to the story. Add in some drama, secrets, a community theatre production, a 5o year-old mystery, ghostly games, some superstition, investigation, a touch of romance, fun, fashion, and a lightheaded feel. I really enjoyed the first book, Divine Vintage, and so I was happy to see this second book had released. This time we follow Marcy, who gets involved in a community theatre production as a costumer. With a fifty-year-old mystery hanging over the production, strange things begin to happen, and as things unfold, we are pulled further and further into this engrossing story. Murder She Meowed is the second book in the Bookshop Kitties Mystery series by Ruth J. Hartman. I know I am always in for a treat when one of Ms. Hartman’s books lands on my Kindle- and this definitely didn’t disappoint. As expected, this is a well-woven, fun cozy mystery- a bit of a whodunnit with murder, crime & investigation, quirky characters, feline cast members, humour, banter, drama, adventure, intrigue, drama, angst, small town charm, clever touches, family, friendship, and surprising developments. Christy Bailey is thrust into the middle of a murder mystery while helping her friend clean up her pastry shop after her aunt’s wedding. But finding a body wasn’t part of the plan. Especially since the body is her friend’s ex-husband- putting Janey at the top of the suspect list- and so things take an intriguing turn. We follow along as Christy and co set about finding some answers to prove her friend’s innocence. What happens makes for an entertaining read. Looking forward to more from Ms. Hartman. Happy Reading…

I love curling up to a good cozy mystery and I am no stranger to this author’s books. Murder She Meowed is Book 2 in the Bookshop Kitties Mysteries, and while I did not read the first book (yet), this story could be easily be read as a stand-alone…but I will definitely by circling back to read from the beginning. This story was fun to read with mystery, secrets a few twists and turns and of course kitties!! I love how this author integrates her story along with the kitties that make it fun.
Christy and a few friends help with her Aunt Betty’s wedding event to make sure everything is perfect. What could honestly go wrong on a joy-filled day then a wedding….but to only discover at Christy’s best friends pastry shop that Janie is not only greeted by her own ex husband…..only to lead to his death. With the detective having his eyes on Janie as a suspect….what did happen to her ex. As the pieces start to come together…the question is…who would even want Tad dead….hopefully Christy and her friend Micah…along with kitties Pearl and Milton…be able to solve the mystery…
This was a fun read and looking forward to more in this series!

Curse of the Forbidden Island is a paranormal romance. I’ve enjoyed many books by this author, particularly The Portal Prophecies! This is a bite-sized story with plenty packed into a short space.
I particularly enjoyed the setting! Reading this book on a bus in February, it was great to imagine a job where I could go and lie on a warm, sandy beach as soon as I’d finished for the day. We got plenty of background and development with Selene who never quite fits in or knows how to behave. Her curiosity brings readers into the story and helps us to wonder about the mysteries surrounding the island.
Although it’s a short book, I felt like it was satisfyingly complete. There’s plenty to fuel the imagination about what might happen after the story ends, but the story is well paced and the ending doesn’t feel rushed.
This book gets four stars from me! I’d recommend it to adult readers who are fans of this author, and any paranormal romance fans who want to replace gloomy castles with a tropical island!

This is a new to me author and she did not disappoint! Let me tell you that I devoured this book. It was just the right amount of spice combined with fantastic characters and page turning action.
When I first picked up this book I didn’t realize it was so far I to a series of other books but I still enjoyed it! While it certainly can be read as a stand alone I think that if I started from book one I would have enjoyed it much more. I can not wait to start this series from the beginning.

A New Day for Cray is the 2nd book I’ve read with my 7 year old in this series (The Adventures of Cray on the Bay). Cray is a mean little crab at the start of this book! He pinches all his friends, and they do not like it. I’m glad he had a transformation and learned his lesson- and taught a lesson to all the young readers regarding friendship and kindness. All his friends names rhyme, which my son thought was cool. We have Fay (turtle), Ray (seagull) and Hay (fox). The illustrations in this book are lovely; so fun and colorful. After reading this book, we had to do some research on crabs loosing their claws. Then went back to the other Cray book we read (Cray Saves the Day), to see if he had 2 claws in that story. I love this series and my son can’t wait to read the rest.

Cray Saves the Day is a cute book from the Adventures of Cray on the Bay series. The book teaches kids to take care of the earth- don’t litter and clean up after yourselves. It presents an important topic, in a way that is easy for the young readers to understand. It would be great for Earth Day or responsibility topics presented to youngsters. The book is rhyming and has a lot of characters, who each have their own book (we plan to read later). My 7 year old read the book to me without assistance so it would be great for early elementary students. The illustrations are bright and colorful.

Deja Brew All Over Again is my first read from Sylvie Stewart but definitely not my last! I just adored this romance!!!!
Miller sees himself as the family screw-up, although I think he is a little hard on himself. Yes, he has made some decisions that weren’t the best, but boy does this guy have a knight in shining armor’s heart! He loves his family, and I loved how he went completely out of his way to help Maisy and Bear! He was everything that made him a great book boyfriend!!! He’s pretty much irresistible and is the perfect package even though that package might be a little dented.
Maisy was the perfect match for Miller. She has the same heart, and she only wants the best for her little brother, Bear, and she will do just about anything to get him out of the clutches of her horrible, irresponsible mother. UGH! She also saw things in Miller that others necessarily didn’t see. She wasn’t just beautiful…she was smart, intelligent, tenacious, and loyal to those she loved.
I loved Miller’s family! They were just great characters, and I loved how they each accepted and protected Maisy and Bear. And, Bear, there are no words for this precocious little boy. He made me laugh more than anybody in the book. I loved getting to know this wonderful family!!!!!
I was in the mood to read something lighter. I have been reading a lot of thrillers, which I love, but I needed something a bit lighter. This book did not disappoint! It had all the ingredients I love in a romance…a great story, wonderful characters, and a swoony romance. I got all of these things and more in this one. Plus, Stewart is a great writer!!!! I started the series with this particular book, and I can’t wait to go back and get to know all the other characters better! I have read another Kitty series by this author so I was excited when I saw the ‘Bookshop Kitties Mysteries’ series. I love the way the author writes the interactions with the cats. It is so wholesome.
Christy’s aunt was getting married. At the wedding, there was an unexpected guest. Since Christy is relatively new to town, she didn’t recognize the man that everyone was upset about appearing. All she knew was that his name was Tad. Later that night Christy and her best friend, Janie, and Christy’s love interest, Micah all go to Janie’s shop to help her bring her stuff back from the venue. Low and behold they find Tad dead on the floor of Janie’s shop.
Everyone is a suspect and it is the talk of the town. Tad had a lot of enemies. No one in town had something nice to say about him. This is also the second time Christy has been the person to find a dead body in this small town causing her to be the talk of the town herself. Christy is on the case with her kitties Milton and Pearl. Her best friend is the main suspect since Tad was her ex-husband. Christy wants to prove her friend’s innocence.

This is the first fake romance story I have read in a while and I think it is a really great one. I connected with the characters so easily and I thought the author did a great job of making them relatable and feel real. I thought the overall story was good and fit well with the characters and their development throughout the book. This is an author that I have become more familiar with over the last couple of years and I always enjoy her work. Her books are always well written and interesting and this book has definitely confirmed that I want to discover more of what she has to offer. This is a great story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
This book, and series, really is the epitome of a cozy mystery. It is fun, lighthearted and mysterious all at the same time. The variety of different characters in this book is brilliant. They span ages and personalities and all work together so well to make a really interesting book. I loved watching how this story developed. The author did a great job of doing throwing out multiple suspects to keep you guessing. I was engaged with the story the whole time and couldn’t wait to see how things would turn out. This was a great book and a brilliant addition to the series.

I really love this series by this author and this is yet another great addition to it. I am a die hard vampire romance reader and this once again hit the spot. I love how the author is able to bring the characters to life and drag the reader into the book. There is just the right amount of drama and adventure mixed into the romance. I really like how this brings the characters together as well as creates the world in which they are in. The reader is really drawn into the world and left on the edge of their seats waiting to see how the story will unfold. I really love how the books really do blend into one another. I really look forward to the next book in this series.

This is a fun little read that starts off at a wedding with the attendants being cats. What a cute idea! Janie is horrified to see someone in the crowd at the wedding that she was hoping she’d never see again. Apparently a few others felt the same way! Soon we learn that the “mystery man” is found murdered on the floor of Janie’s shop.
Not one to shy away from a good mystery, Christy and her cats Milton and Pearl report for duty. They know Janie is innocent as they were all together during the time of the incident. Micah also pitches in to help in between his shifts as an ER doc. Together, they will find a way to solve this mystery, but what other mysteries will pop up in the process?
These cats are SPOILT!!! They are the stars of this book series and have a big role to play. They are also the characters in Christy’s book series that she writes and sells in her bookstore. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author. This was my first time reading her work!
