The Curse of Jean Lafitte (The Big Easy Collection #2) by Mary Walsh is the first book that I have read by this author, and after enjoying a few hours between these covers, it certainly won’t be the last.
I wasn’t sure what to think when I first laid eyes on the book, but was hooked the moment I read the blurb and saw pirates, treasure, and New Orleans- so I snapped up a copy and jumped right in. #pirates #treasure # ghosts #adventure #winning
This has all the ingredients needed to pull me into the story and keep me immersed the whole way through. It’s an engrossing supernatural story with mystery, suspense, ghostly dealings, a ancient curse, missing treasure, adventure, history, action, dramatic developments, pirates, treasure, myths/legends, tension, intrigue, a quest, time running out, agendas, and so much more.
The characters are interesting, well-developed individuals with their own unique personalities, quirk, and flaws. They definitely added an extra element of interest and intrigue to the adventure, which wouldn’t have been quite as colourful without them.
Now I am looking forward to reading more of Ms. Walsh’s work- asap…
