Before I Let You Go by Kellie Wallace – Review by Shea Gilkerson 4/7/24
Before I Let You Go by Kellie Wallace
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Elsbeth is on quite a rollercoaster of experiences in this novel. There is the difficult decision of breaking an engagement, the loss of an aunt, an unexpected inheritance, a move and all of the forms of grief that come along with big life changes. You see her relationships with her mom, dad and sister, and you meet a very interesting cast of new characters along the way.
When Elsbeth decides to take a leap on new opportunities even though her father is ill, it quickly becomes overwhelming between the cottage, selling her property and working her way through her emotions. When she meets Bishop and realizes they have a connection, will it make her life seem more manageable, or just be another ride she has to bare until she can work through it at the end? Bishop wants to protect Elsbeth as they work together to solve the mystery. When they get to the end, will Bishop be strong enough to keep her safe, and will she be strong enough to hold on through her pain?
