Love how fun and adventurous this book is ! Solid enemies to lovers without being vicious & toxic . Honestly , Jezebel is the 1 I’ve been most excited for through this series , & I’m so happy to read her story ! Love this romantic pair up in ways I didn’t expect . Definitely worth the wait !

Sandra L. Young’s The Ghostly Diva follows museum curator Justine, plodding along in her home town with the odd visit from a ghost, and Jackson, grumpy and mysterious screenwriter from LA whose mother has recently passed and so he’s come to the small town of LaPorte to go through her things and sell her childhood home. Jackson enlists in Justine’a help to go through his mother things, but soon realises he needs her help for much more than that. My favourite character was Justine because she’s quite relatable, the feeling quite lost and stuck in her home town. I recommend this book because it’s a cute love story and the added details of the ghost story, along with the flashbacks and the mystery, make it really interesting. ‘After dipping into real passion, mundane wouldn’t suffice in her life anymore.’ This was so relatable. ‘The hot, demanding kiss threatened to deprive her of oxygen. But what a way to expire.’ This was so beautifully written.
War in Sorcery’s Shadow by Elise Carlson

This is the 3rd book in the Raurnon Trilogy. As this is part of a trilogy I do highly recommend reading them in order and from the beginning.
This was was an amazing series fill of magical fantasy adventures, with a underlying story of good Vs evil.
This is the final battle as Raurnon and his friends try to bring truth to the people who were lied to. It is another race against time to save the world from the mad man who wants to get rid of them all.
This story is is full of magic, murder, mystery as well as secrets and truths coming to light. The characters are really diverse and unique which is refreshing, however they need to join together and learn how to work together if they have any hope of defeating the evil against them.
This series was a real page turner which I loved and couldn’t put down. You won’t regret picking up this series if you want a story you can lose yourself in. Prepare to be transported to a magical world where good Vs evil and you are kept guessing who will win
What Eyes Can’t See: Spicy contemporary fiction by Paulette Stout

This agonizing slow-burn romance was enough to keep me hooked and turning the pages. I really enjoyed the themes the author addressed in a very open way so you could really think about what she was addressing. Overall a highly recommended read.
Breaking Apart by Wanda J. Venters

Breaking Apart was a good read but not what I expected.
The characters were well developed and even not having read the first book I could still follow the story. I guess it fell flat for me because I had a preconceived idea of what I was going to read.
The Rake by Ava Bond

This novel was well written, however, I do not get the “English” vibe from the writing. I was also bothered by the author calling Margot an “Amazon”. I am a taller/larger woman and if someone called me that, I would not be happy. Otherwise, I loved the story and the characters.
The book was easy to read and follow. The characters were relatable and I fell in love with them as soon as I read about them. The banter between the two main characters is fun and just makes them that much more real. The author does a great job keeping your attention throughout. I cannot wait to read the second in the series.

Kris & The Cowboys: The Adventures of Kris by Art Blegen

The cover kind of threw me off, I expected Kris to be a little older, but she spoke like a very young child. I’ve not read any of the other books so I’m not sure if her age is mentioned previously. Ignoring the cover, the story is great. I like that it teaches readers a little about riding horses in the beginning. I enjoyed Kris’s imaginative story about her and Buddy rescuing a cow. She meets some great characters, I really liked Jim the gold miner. I feel this story is great for horse lovers and young readers starting to read chapter books.

This book has just about everything you would want in a fantasy book. It has magic, adventure, dragons, and so much more. I liked this book because it was a great ride. I haven’t read the first two books but will check them out now after this book. Some of the names were a bit hard to pronounce but that is always easy to fix with a quick Google search.

You absolutely need to read this book this summer. Starts with poor Erica being tricked and lied to by her husband, and the lies don’t stop there. Erica tries to help her husband by doing whatever she can possibly think of, even potentially severing some lifelong friendships. Along the way, Erica starts to find her voice and builds new friendships/relaionships. Everyone should read this!

I’m so glad to have found this author. This is my time reading James Williamson’s work, but definitely not the last. The Artwork was beautifully made, had very vivid colors and was super eye-catching. My little one loved it. He was interested In seeing all the different pb and j styles, and seeing all the different types of creatures who were enjoying them. His favorite peanut butter sandwich is to add bananas to it. The little monkey in the suit is fun and adorable lol I will be 100 percent checking out more stories by this awesome author 🥰

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series of books and this one is no different. While each book can be read as a standalone, why miss anything good? Go read them all!
This is lighthearted humor with a mystery. Enemies to lovers and ghosts are also in this book. I love all the references to vintage fashion, as this is something that I’m finding myself becoming more interested in. You’ll follow Justine’s path of discovery and deal with Jackson’s anger issues. Can these two put differences aside and forge a path ahead together?
Great story and series! Cozy up and enjoy!

Master Oradea (Masters of the Consulate Book 10) by Sylvia Black
Master Oradea is the tenth book in the Masters of the Consulate Series. Hot Dang I didn’t think this series could get any better but dang was I wrong. This is a series that I’ve truly enjoyed reading since the first book. This can be read as standalones but I’d highly recommend reading this series in order. They are each about a different couple and man it’s a stellar series. There’s a lot going on and each one kinda builds off the last. Characters overlap and it’s definitely worth the time. It’s on my top 3 reread list. This is another wonderfully written Dark Paranormal Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you’ve finished. I literally read this in one afternoon because I simply couldn’t put it down. This is Master Oradea and Natalia’s story. This is a fast paced story with twists and turns that will have you turning the pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next. I don’t want to give anything away.i highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series

But, when all is not as it seems with her husband, Erica returns home. This book had some twists and kept me guessing. Enjoyable page turning read!!

This was a quick wonderful read full of drama, romance, a little bit of mystery, twists and turns and great characters. This is a heartwarming prequel to the Echo series. Gene is an ER doc who has some decisions to make about what he wants for his future. He heads to his hometown to get out of the ER and decide if he likes being a small town doc. Amanda is a well loved baker in said small town. These two meet unexpectedly when Amanda is in a car accident and Gene happens to be driving by. Gene volunteers to take care of her in case she has a concussion. The chemistry between these two is strong. They find themselves spending more time together but not knowing if Gene plans to stay, what will become of their growing feelings. This story kept me turning pages. I highly recommend this book, it’s a captivating read.

This is the first book in the series. I am not sure if could read them as a stand alone, would be great question for the author. Looking forward to reading the next one in the series. I give this book 4 stars .

Quick paced, suspenseful, thrilling read. Would love to read more from this author. I give this book 4 stars.

A new author to me, and I was in the mood for a historical romance, and it is what I got alongside mystery, murder, debauchery.<br />The characters are entertaining and largely likeable, they have their issues but don’t we all. The Author has managed to describe a world that is historically good and shows things in an interesting light.<br />We meet Lord Beresford (Silvester) and he uses his title to the best of its ability in his rather ostentatious lifestyle. It is true in this book that opposites attract and he is intrigued by the unknown Margot, who is a polar opposite to his ways. They are drawn to each other as Margot works with the Lord to solve the question of who killed the Duke.<br />I will certainly be looking for more in this series.<br />

The Rake by Ava Bond

This is the first book in the Daughter’s of Dishonor series. This is a historical romance but also so much more than that, there is mystery angst, danger, chemistry.
The author did an amazing job of transporting the reader back in time to that period.
Margot Keating is a vicars daughter, she travels from Berwick with a secret that she needs to protect at all costs. She tries not to draw attention to herself but fails miserably when she finds herself involved in a murder mystery and a case of missing diamonds.
And she also catches the attention of a certain Rake.
Lord Silvester Beresford is well know for his handsome looks and charm but one thing he has not intention of doing is falling in love. That is until Margot Keating crosses his path.
Can these 2 opposite people work together to solve the murder mystery and the case of the missing diamonds? And could Margot be the women who can change Silvester’s way of looking at women. Could she be the one he will settle down and change his ways for?
I do enjoy historical romances and with the added twist it a murder mystery really made this a book I couldn’t put down.
Under the Bandage by Lois Wickstrom

Break out the first aid kits for this one. Every child should know how our body works. They also need to know how to take care of their boo-boos. As well as why we must keep them clean and protected. I love the science behind the story. The author has once again written a book with children in mind. The story is easy to read and understand. The history behind the games and toys we played with was also interesting. Another great book and must have for every child’s library.

Healing Hearts was a quick read novella that had the perfect amount of chemistry, drama, mystery and spice. Gene and Amanda’s story was such a fun read. From not quite strangers, we see their story unfold. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
A Song of Salt and Secrets by Amanda Marin

This story thrilled me! It has action, suspense and young romance. I liked the subject matter since I have not read much about them. We actually get to see/hear and feel their thoughts and emotions pertaining to “singing and the sea”. Corisande is ever curious about herself, the curse and normal people. She is good at heart even though she carries the curse. I did not read book 1 in the series and had no problem following along. So can easily be read as a stand along.

I really enjoyed the lessons this book taught. I love the fact that when he gets hurt, he counts to three to calm down and then goes immediately to wash the dirt off. I really enjoyed this little book and I think any children will enjoy it too!
The Rake by Ava Bond

I really enjoyed this historical romance. You are immediately thrown into the adventures as Margot and her sister, Elsie, make their way from the countryside to London only for Margot to bear witness to a murder and to give chase to the person who committed the crime. That chase leads her through the Earl of Langley’s back door and into a world she knew nothing about. As Margot enlists Langley’s help in trying to catch the murderer, these two are thrust together in an exploit that is filled with twists, turns, desire, angst, mystery, secrets, suspense, and danger. As Margot and Langley work together to solved the Duke’s murder, they begin to question whether or not they actually have more in common than they first believed. I really enjoyed their witty banter and the overall push and pull of their relationship. I can’t wait for the second book to come out.
