This has been such a wonderful series, so it’s a little bittersweet to see it end. I loved getting to experience life with Justine and Jackson as they navigate some interesting situations. There is plenty to enjoy here with drama, paranormal happenings, romance, and a noticeable knack for vintage fashion. Once I opened this book, the author grabbed my attention and never let go. The character development is absolutely marvelous as they feel incredibly relatable. I enjoyed the flow of the story because the author has a great talent for letting it unfold naturally. If you are looking for a fun paranormal romance that doesn’t follow a cookie-cutter plot, you should give this a try! I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

Madame Chalamet is the Ghost Talker. I was drawn in at the first meeting of her thinking she might not be my favorite main character but am pleased that was not the case! She is witty and intelligent as well as compassionate and sassy. The storyline is very interesting and very original. Im also a fan of all the supporting characters along the way. They make the story and keep you guessing as to what happens next. I’m very hopeful the other books in this series are as good!

Welcome to Arrow and Vivian’s story. What a story it is! So intense and so romantic yet so dangerous. Arrow is a retired Navy Seal, that was what caught my eye. Vivian is a dentist and has no time for romance, Arrow is the same no time for romance. But as life would have it these two people are thrown together and are fighting for their lives. Such a fast paced suspenseful story. I loved every page. I could not put this story down. The author has once again brought out the best in her character’s and kept the story going. The story is loaded with all the right feels and is so intense you can’t help but fall in love with both the story, the author and her characters. I recommend you read this series in order, even though this could be a standalone. There is so much to discover and uncover. I am looking forward to book 6 in this series.

The Ghostly Diva is an interesting story with a quirky heroine and a moody hero. This contemporary paranormal romance is about a woman who has the gift of seeing spirits, whether she likes it or not. Justine Saunders, feels like her life is in a bit of a rut as she’s lived in the same town with the same people and the same job for several years. Her life is about to get a great deal more interesting as she gets stuck in a house overnight with the somewhat infuriating moody Jackson Maddox, who’s back in town to finalize his mom and grandma’s estate.

Will these two end up killing each other or confiding in each other? Will Justine be brave enough to take risks with a possible new job? Will she leave her small town life for the big city? Will she forgo passion for a solid, secure partner? Is it possible to help each other overcome past traumas? All these questions and more can be answered in the pages of this fun fast read. This is the first book in the series that I’ve read, but I must admit I want to read more by this author.

This is another really good book by this author in this series, Troy is the backstory for Ian Troy, His early life as a slave, his time in the Rellan army. Things he has been through. <br />It really does give a new awareness of what has happened to mould Ian into the person we have followed in the full series. <br />As with the other books the character development and world building is very descriptive. And the history keeps you following, needing to know what happens. <br />This can be read before or after the Crown of Stone books. <br />

What happens when you scrape your knee? Find out in this story! I read this with my 7 year old son. I love how things are explained in a way that makes sense to kids. My son is homeschooled and this year for science we were working on the human body. This was a great addition to what we have been learning. It’s not only a fun story, but very informative. That is usually how Lois Wickstrom’s books go. You have fun, but you also learn. (And it’s not boring!)

The Boss of Centocelle is the sixth book in the A Commissario Scala Mystery in Rome Series and is a wonderfully written Crime / Mystery. I’ve read several books by this author and this one is definitely my favorite yet. I literally read this in one sitting . The twists and turns had me literally on the edge of my seat turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Scala is back and at it again but this time finds himself in the criminal underworld. This is loaded with mystery, crime, murder, drama, danger and so much more. The story flowed so well I kept on reading till I finished. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I promise it won’t disappoint. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

So far I have enjoyed all of the books in this series. I really enjoy this author’s writing style. In this story Justine Saunders and Jackson Maddox are our main leads and of course seem like night and day. Jackson is looking forward to wrapping up the last of his mother’s affairs and getting out of dodge. Justine is itching to get her hands on the vintage clothes from a recently deceased actress that was well known. While getting the clothing unloaded and going through it Ms. Saunders finds a path to find the man who fathered Jackson. Who was he and why did his mother protect the man’s identity until her death?

I have really enjoyed all of Sandra L. Young’s “Divine Vintage” books in this series, they all just keep getting better and better as the series goes on. I am a huge fan of vintage clothing, and so having such beautiful pieces of clothing described with so much gusto, that I can picture every garment in my mind. What a fun romance that we get to watch unfold between Justine and Jackson, while she helps him “unload” his mom’s hoard of vintage clothing. This book has everything from ghostly apparitions to a mystery needing to be solved as to who Jackson’s father is, right down to what Jackson’s mom’s unfinished business is so that she may pass over to the other side. This story draws you in right from the start as you learn of Justine’s worries as to whether she will still have a job each day she goes to her place of business which she has loved most of her life, in a small town that she has grown up in. There is so much going on in this story, it was so inspirational for me to read as I followed along with all of the woes our main characters experience. It held my attention and pulled me into being invested in the outcome of the tale, hoping we got our happily ever after. If you have not read any of the other books in this series, I highly recommend you go back, although they can be great standalone reads as well, you won’t want to miss out on some fun adventures and stunning vintage clothing each with a tale of their own to tell.

The Big Book of Booper Snoots by Suzanna Lynn is such a fun children’s story book with bright, colourful, and interesting pictures that drive the whole story. What is a Booper Snoot, you might wonder… Well, it is the ‘nose’ of a cute animal that you can’t help but want to gently tap your finger on. But here, Suzanna Lynn takes things several steps further, by making it an animal adventure- from A to Z… starting with Alpacas and ending with Zebra’s, there are a plethora of other animals ‘snoots’ to absorb our attention. From the well-known to the unusual, these alphabetical animals come with interesting facts that help educate us about all the different animals who ‘star’ in this book. So not only is it a fun book to read, but there is also an educational component too…. Now that’s what I call a win-win situation.
What a fun, engaging, and cute little book this is. My grandson loved reading this with me and pointing out all the different animals he recognised, while finding a few new ones to add to his ‘favourites’ list.
Looking forward to seeing what Suzanna Lynn does next.

Murder a la Christie is the first book in the Golden Age of Mystery Book Club series by Marilyn Levinson. This is aa fun little cozy mystery with a distinct ‘Agatha Christie’ feel/vibe. Well woven with plenty of intrigue, drama, tension, suspense, puzzling developments, interesting characters, and crime & investigation- makes this whodunnit an engrossing read.
Lexie Driscoll’s first murder mystery book club meeting goes a little awry when murder comes calling- and all too soon the bodies begin to stack up. Lexie will need to unravel the mystery and uncover the killer before it’s too late.

What happens when you help your brother save a demon? You get exiled from Heaven. Hadassah is on Earth awaiting her punishment. She strikes up a friendship with Jezebel who is running from ber secrets. Unluckily for her, her past is right on her heels. This was a good book and I enjoyed the characters. I have only read one other book in this series, but I plan on going back to read the others.

I swear if you want to read some out of the box unique paranormal books C.A. king is the author to read. This is not the first book I have read by this author and I knew when I saw the cover I just had to pick it up. I just knew I’d be in for a crazy wonderful ride and I was right this book was filled with you know the usual vampires, wolves, etc., but also the not so usual never seen before shifters (at least in none of the books I’ve ever read). It also has action, adventure, danger, romance, forced proximity and fantasy. This is the second book of the Weird Shifters Series. The first being Happy Hump Day which I know have to go read 🥰 I can’t wait to read more of the authors work. If you haven’t Already read it, get it now. I mean have you ever read a book about a DUCK Shifter, probably not. 🥰 you won’t regret It.

Murder a la Christie (Golden Age of Mystery Bookclub #1) by Marilyn Levinson. This is such a fun read that is very reminiscent of Agatha Christie books. Its the story of Lexie Driscoll who leads a monthly book club called the Golden Age Mystery Club. Lexie loves Agatha Christie books so she uses them to try to solve her mystery. While at the club meeting one of her members dies so Lexie decides its up to her to figure out if it was a murder or not. Lexie had heard someone threaten the victim right before the meeting so maybe they had something to do with it. The person that passed away was also her friend and she was going to live in her home that summer so not only did she lose her friend but she lost her home. Frustrated and sad Lexie knows that her friend didn’t die of natural causes so she is determined to find out what happened. Read this fast paced cozy mystery to find out what happens. You won’t be disappointed.

While they are on the boat trip, the boat hits a rough spot, and Irena and Jack are thrown overboard. Jack refused to put on a life jacket, and disappears. Irena resurfaces and is rescued quickly by her friends and daughter. Irena and Kelly start searching for Jack, while looking into his apartment, finances, and anything else they think they know, Irena quickly learns that nothing is quite as it seems. The most important thing to remember while reading this book is nothing is as it seems.

The Boss of Centocelle is part of the Italian Murder Mystery series (as well as Commissario Scala in Rome series) but can be enjoyed as a stand alone. It is the 6th book, and I read one other, but not the entire series. This book reads like an Italian episode of Law and Order. We follow detective Scala, as he investigates a couple of murders. The story winds us through a gang, drug dealing, love quarrels and more. It kept me engaged throughout, and while I did have hunches about the killer, I didn’t figure out all the details. I enjoy the books and will likely read more- they are good mystery/suspense books about law enforcement and crime.

Dinopotamus Goes to School is a cute picture book for young readers. It is geared toward 4 to 8 year olds, and my 8 year old enjoyed reading it with me. Dino has been watching the kids play at school, and wants to participate, but he is worried he doesn’t fit in. He doesn’t look like the kids, or fit in their school, but he has fun playing and learning with them. It is a good story to teach inclusion and accepting others, even when they look different. The illustrations are fun and unique- looking like they are colored with crayon or pencil. Would be good in preschool or young elementary classrooms.

Loris is a foster child who is not sure who to trust, and prefers to stay to himself. When he comes to live with Cam, Inaya, and their mother, he struggles to adjust to a home life that is so different from the bad home life he is used to. Cam and Inaya try to involve Loris in the fundraiser run that they are organizing for a friend, but he doesn’t feel safe joining in until Cam is being bullied, and then he stands up for his new foster siblings. This book may not have the “warm fuzzies” from the beginning, but by the end, you will find yourself feeling for Loris and his journey. This is a great book for young kids, and for teaching children about foster children situations and the emotions that can come from it. I feel like this is also a good way to help people of any age to remember that you don’t know the full story of someone’s life, so being kind and being there for them, and not leaving them in their time of struggle, is often the most help you can give them.

Unrequited Love is Book 1 in the Magic and Heartache series and I really enjoyed this story of Jorden and Cane. This fantasy romance gave me what I love with magic, charms, a little bit of drama and romance. The connection between Jorden and Cane is truly undeniable. While this was more of a short story….I am already looking forward to reading the next book and would love to know the characters even more…I am already intrigued.

Jorden runs a local coffee shop with her friend Perri, but unfortunately Jorden’s ex always has to make it a point to continue to be a customer with his new girlfriend. Jorden is over her past, knowing her ex was no longer in love with her….Cane peaks her interest. With the banter and definite spark between them, what can happen when Cane approaches Jorden to partake in a spell that forsee’s the future… spark and sizzle happens….

This is a great story and looking forward to more from this author. <3

This is one of the cutest alphabet books I’ve seen. Not only are we met with the most adorable boopable snoots (that you most definitely can boop on each page), we are given a plethora of information about each animal. I loved the colorfulness of the book along with the realness of it. Lynn packed in so much information for each animal but don’t let that overwhelm you. You could easily skip over that information for younger readers/listeners while the older readers/listeners can definitely learn from the amount of information she includes. This is a must have for animal lovers.

This plan backfires as Haddie is drawn into finding a kidnapped Jezebel. This book is the fifth installment in a series, though each is about stories of different couples in the same universe. Full of supernatural fantasy, mystery, drama, and romance, it really does feel like this book has it all!

Kate and Lydia have been best friends since grade school. Lydia is now a widow, has a grown daughter and was a school teacher for many years. Kate had a successful business, and now divorced. Lydia received a call one day that Kate was in the hospital. The two best friends travel the world together. Lydia wants Kate to live. They have their ups and downs through out the trip. But it makes their friendship so strong. I was rooting for Kate to live through the whole book! Lydia and Kate are a powerful team going through everything life has thrown at them.

This is a fantastic collection of short, psychologically thrilling stories. There are trigger warnings so definitely check those out before reading but like Gantt mentions none of the triggers are overtly discussed; however, they may bring up some feelings because of this. While I wouldn’t classify these stories as “scary” (I grew up on Stephen King and watching scary movies as a young child…many thanks to my aunt), they are very disturbing in a make-you-uncomfortable way. I really enjoyed these very different but disturbing eight short stories and I think you will too. As I said before, please check the trigger warnings first, but if you love stories that will make you uncomfortable and make you feel things you wish you didn’t then pick up this collection today!

Enthralling!

This is the first book I’ve read by N.D. Jackson and I could not put it down. I feel like I finished it in record time. This close proximity romance was not only cute but attention grabbing.

Shayna is a single mom doing everything she can for her kids after the mess with her ex. Burke is a man known for his resource and is quite frankly over that label. Shayna doesn’t see herself as worthy of Burke’s attention. Burke is drawn towards Shayna and seems to have a heart of gold wanting to do whatever he can to lighten the burden on Shayna.

The beginning was a little slow to start. It does pick up the pace after a few chapters. The author does well with the time period especially with Lily and the Turner family. The characters complement each other really well even with the minor characters. I like how Lily makes opportunities for herself even though they don’t end too well sometimes. The book is very well written and is easy to read and comprehend what’s going on in the story.

A Cold Day in Hell by Naomi Valkyrie is the 5th installment in the Life Is Hell series. While Malaki’s family decides to hold up in Delilah’s house to protect each other from Danger, Malaki’s angelic sister Hadassah comes to stay. Forced to live on earth stripped of her powers as punishment she makes an unlikely friend (maybe more) in Jezebel. Jezebel has a secret that she’s running from. But the past is catching up. Can Hadassah and the rest of the team save Jezebel?

Super excited for this book. Jezebel was so mysterious and I wanted to learn more about her. Seems like all the characters have a traumatic backstory. I’m so glad they are all healing, finding love and learning to trust others again. They are creating the family they didn’t have and it’s a beautiful thing. This series is full of love despite the issues that arise. This is my favorite story in the series so far. I really like Jezebel. If you liked the other parts you’ll love this one too. If you’re new to the series, start at the beginning so you understand the relationships and connections.
