Julia Goldhirsh was born and raised in Coconut Creek, Florida. They spent one year working in Japan as an ESL teacher and love traveling and teaching. They have been writing ever since they were in elementary school, and their favorite stories to read and write were always fantasy and mythology books.
They started out writing on writers cafe and all poetry. RPG writing became their favorite past time in high school. They won a short fiction award in high school from the Broward County Lit fair for their short story “Night Sprite.”
They love to talk about lesser-known mythological creatures. Their most recent obsession is with Nymphs, Enchantresses, and the Encantado. Known as wanderingteacher on their travel blog and adventuringwriter on their author blog, they also write about traveling, adjusting to different cultures, and the process of self-publishing.
