By Your Side is the first book in the Willowbrook Lake series by Ashley Erin. Adeline moves to Willowbrook Lake after a devastating loss. While she’s starting over, she meets Owen and begins to feel things she never thought possible. Owen is torn between being her friend and being more while not wanting to be disrespectful of her grief. This was a beautiful love story. Adeline and Owen are wonderfully written. The story flows through time without feeling slow or dragging. For those looking for romance without all the spice this book is for you (there is only one scene in the book). I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
