This is book two in the House on the Hill series and oh, what a thriller. From the very beginning, I felt the suspense building and had a feeling that the alleged gentlemen in the woods made me question them immediately.
The suspense building is intense in this book with cases building up and honestly it seemed a bit overwhelming to the storyline. The sweet little town is definitely a nice atmosphere for this book but with most horror thrillers, things get a bit freaky.
This was definitely a slow burn and worth the wait, as you’ll see later in the book. I think the author did a great job with this thriller and think fans of this genre will enjoy the series.

What another lovely and heartwarming story by an amazing author. As with all of her books, we were hooked in this one straight away. My kids both loved the idea of being able to fly around while on a school break. It was such an exciting prospect to them, they spent the next 10 minutes trying to fly! My daughter in particular was really taken with the idea of flying with butterflies! This is another fun, engaging and well-illustrated story by an author that is a favourite in our house.

I was so excited to get my hands on the next book in this series. I have loved each and every one so far and what another great addition this one turned out to be. As with all the books in this series, I loved the characters. I found them to be so engaging and relatable, and their chemistry was too much to deny. I really enjoyed this story as well. This author has such a skill at matching the story perfectly with the characters she has created. It was entertaining, full of romance and just really well written from start to finish. This is a brilliant book and an overall fantastic series.

Dinopotamus is tasked with bringing the big box of things to do. When they are tasked with doing the opposite of what they are told it will take a lot of thinking to perform the tasks at hand.
This was an entertaining story that I think children will interact well with. Great fun to be had reading Dinopotamus handle each challenge. Kids will love.

By Your Side is Book 1 of the Willowbrook Lake series and this is a new author to me. I LOVED this book so much. I could not put it down….pulling at my heartstrings with some tears but loved this book. I love a small town romance that gives me romance, broken hearts, friendship, trust and the ability to find your way through grief. The story of Owen and Adeline just pulls you in so deep.
Adeline is picking up the pieces as she loses love of her life..her husband. A fresh start is where she takes herself to Willowbrook Lake…just to breathe again. It is never easy losing someone you love so hard, but Adeline dives into fixing up a very old house and quite possibly more than she bargained for. Owen is Willowbrook Lake’s handyman. Being a jack of all trades, Owen has a great reputation with the town and the people…fixing anything that they need. Adeline hires Owen to help her with the renovations to the old house…but as Adeline and Owen spend everyday together, the more feelings Owen develops. He knows she is grieving the loss…but Adeline starts to slowly feel for Owen as well……When walls around her heart start to fall…will she be able to love again especially with Owen…….

Loved this! I love m/m romance and the world this book painted is so different and interesting. Patrick and Iseul are everything together. I love their love for each other, and their steamy scenes are hot! It is devastating to see how his dad treats Patrick, all because he is slightly crippled from a past fever, but his younger and one older brother treat him as equals, and that made my heart swell. I love his brothers Silas and Eion and was devastated and what befalls the whole Upshur family. My heart was torn and did not mend until Patrick and Iseul are reunited again. Lady Ambrosia is a fun addition to the story and I like her character and station in Patrick and Iseul’s lives. The ending was beautiful if not missing a few people that I was hoping would be there but I was happy with it all the same.
CJ and Lora are doing such a great job at taking care of and training Porter and Midge. They are both so well behaved during their outings. I love that this book shows the importance of getting dogs their vaccinations, and how to try and keep them from being stressed at the vet. In this book they get to meet many new animals and people while preparing to be in the Independence Day parade. The end is so cute with both Porter and Midge just passed out due to having such a long and eventful day, sleepy dogs are the sweetest.

Stout of My League is the final book of the Love on Tap Series by Sylvie Stewart. Even if you haven’t read the previous books in the series you should be able to follow along with the story well enough. If you’re like me though you’ll definitely want to go back and read the other three books first. I loved the characters and banter, both helping to make the story flow. Lynn, the youngest of the Brooks siblings, is focused on her schooling and future when she meets Joey Martel, star shortstop for the Asheville Arrows. Finding out Joey is a jock and a seemingly overbearing protector Lynn decides that he’s not for her. The following year, Joey ends up injured and needing treatment; it’s impossible for Lynn to ignore her attraction for him. Joey knows Lynn is the one and he’ll do his best to make her see he’s not an overbearing jock. Throw in the typical Brooks family hijinks, a little mystery, the perfect amount of spice, and you have a quick enjoyable read!

I enjoyed reading this romance story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed how she pulled me into her story using details that made the characters come to life. They are connectable and written with a lot of heart and soul. This is a well written story about what happens when unexpected love finds you out of nowhere. I enjoyed Owen and Adeline. They are relatable characters that I had no problem picturing myself in their world. They have great chemistry and attraction throughout the story which made it easy to read. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story that you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed reading this book and I think you will too. I look forward to seeing what is next for this author and this series. I highly recommend this book.

This book was not what I expected. I picked this book based on the cover and title alone. I didn’t read the blurb that goes along with it because sometimes I just like to be really surprised by what I am reading. I had this whole scenario envisioned in my head as to what this handshake agreement could be about just based off of the cover. I was so, so, so, wrong. It was even better than what I thought it would be. It has romance and steam, that I personally love. It has second chance romance that is always good but this is a slow burn good. The main characters fall deeply in love and then something happens to turn their worlds upside down. I felt the pain that the characters have when going through this. It was really well written to make sure that the reader can be a bowl full of emotions throughout the book. The FMC, in my eyes forgives a little too easily but it flows well with the book. It was a quick read and a major page turner. The MMC has very alpha type energy and inserts himself into situations with the FMC. There is the push and pull that doesn’t feel tedious but spot on for this story. I highly enjoyed it. I might have to pick books based off of titles and covers alone more often. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting a little steam, a push and pull romance, and a little drama. Reviewed by: @bbohls

As he suspects, he watches as an incredibly nimble and exceptionally silent person jumps their fence and enters the club territory. He pursues and finds the thief in their garage, not expecting to have a fierce battle with the much smaller fighter.
After realizing their thief is a woman, he immediately feels protective of her, despite both he and his club brothers recognizing that a male thief would have already been disposed of. However, Chaz chooses to handcuff her in the garage and speak to her tomorrow. Little does he know, this woman is nothing like what he had expected. When they look for her in the morning, they discover she has escaped.
After tracking her down and locating her, Chaz makes her an offer she can’t refuse if she agrees to help the club. When he learns about her story and finds she has a hefty bounty on her head, he has a decision to make – but when he hears his brothers talking about how they’d spend the money, the decision is made for him, and they flee.
The heartbreaking background of the badass Helo/Queenie is incredible and makes you feel so protective of her. Chaz and his brothers are shocked to find Chaz has found his old lady, and the chemistry that leads them to take a chance on one another keeps you engaged from the start. Watching the brotherhood of the club and how they protect one another is beautiful, in a world that can look pretty ugly. I enjoyed seeing StoryTeller in this book, as well. Looking forward to seeing the world of the Wretched Soulz MC keep growing!

Bad Enough is the second book in The Deadman’s Tribe Series and is a Romantic Suspense that pulled me in from the beginning kept me turning the pages till the end. This opposites attract with a few twists and turns will have lost in the pages till the end. These two are so different but at the same time there not. This is a fast paced story about Sylvan who is a romance writer and doesn’t know what being bad is . She’s a good girl who does all things good but when she starts to research and starts online chatting with TB things are about to change. TB is an information Specialist who is also a bad boy. When TB and the rest of the crew are hired to find the daughter of a Silicon Valley Tech Mogul things get interesting quick. Can TB protect Sylvan? Can these two set differences aside and have what they both want? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m already looking forward to reading more from this Author.

These are the important ingredients for a great romance novel and Julie checked every box with this. Finding Love is the second installment of the Clumsy Little Heart Trilogy. Rachel was a fave of mine in the first book and it was great seeing her fall in love again after an out of nowhere breakup. Rachel puts everyone before herself. She’s unselfish and caring and deserves a love that matches what she puts out in the universe and Miguel does just that. The chemistry is blazing off the pages. Definitely a great read.

DAAAAAAANNNNNNGGGGGG! This one nearly melted my phone!!! Where do I start….6’ 7”, ripped, warm eyes, deep growly voice, a DOMinating personality! I was hooked from the beginning. The comical bonus of Sylvan’s non-swearing swearing combined with Kai’s brilliant use of actual swear words had me chuckling out loud, getting looks from the husband. I was hooked on this series with Kai and Waters. Now, there is no tearing me away. Plus Nemo’s story next??!! Oh, yeah! I am forever Tribe.
TB knew his life was never going to be the same after a suicide bomber took the lives of his parents when he was 7. He had to fight to stay alive until he turned 18. The military offered him a chance at a family, a team, belonging. But even that didn’t turn out the way he expected it to when his abilities got him pulled into special teams services, away from his found family. Now, he understands that he is cold, sadistic, cruel, and mostly devoid of any humanity whatsoever. That is just who he is.
Sylvan is not like everyone else. She didn’t grow up like everyone else. Sylvan broke away from her past and never wants to revisit it. But it wants her back. It is a spicy contemporary rockstar romance with chemistry, tension, intrigue, angst, drama, emotion, banter, and fantastic characters. The characters were well crafted into fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. I appreciated how they continued to develop and grow over the course of the story. It added extra depth and dimension to their tale. And made it easy to invest in them and the outcome of their story- Cadence and Damien really were perfect for each other. The Story That Ties Us is the first book in the Love Ties Us series by Nicolette Terry. Being the first book that I have read by Ms. Terry, I really wasn’t sure of what to expect to find between the covers- so I was curious to find out. This proved to be an emotional contemporary romance with second chances, love, loss, grief, anger, heartache, drama, angst, challenges, hope, redemption, and more. Blakely had her heart broken by Jamie years ago, and it took her a long time to rebuild her shattered life after him. But just when things seem so perfect, Jamie walks back into her life. And it’s obvious from the outset, that the flame that once burned between them had never fully extinguished. What does fate have in store for these two? This book was an interesting one. I picked this up because the cover caught my eye and the blurb sounded interesting. The story was okay but I found it hard to connect mainly because I just couldn’t get lost in the story. The writing style was different than I’m used to and I think that’s what threw me off. There was just soo much happening, one twist after another. It was definitely hard for this couple to get to their HEA & they really had to work for it. With all thay said i still thought it was an okay book and I will pick up this authors books again in the future. Happy Reading!
The pure innocence of a 3 year old thrown into the horrific violence of the world. Then undergoing a hidden and different identity to protect herself. Identity leaked once her father becomes president. Once more another of her family members dies and is a victim of violence. I highly recommend this book. How much can this woman take?
After discovering the first book of the Dinopotamus Series I just had To come back and read this one. This talented author wrote and drew this series which is amazingly awesome! As always I like the Unique character she has created. This book is great for when your Littles are learning what opposite are. There are also a lot of good rhyming words and descriptive words for learning also. I’m looking forward to reading more from Lois Wickstrom and of this series. Also we should definitely do an opposite day here. It seems like it’ll be fun.

The Love on Tap series has been one of the greatest series’ I have ever read. I am in love with the whole Brooks family. Their obsession with Big Foot, a pet skunk, and their quirky names all from past country singers. I am truly in love with them all and this fourth book has wrapped up the mystery surrounding all the incidents that have happened throughout the series. I am in awe of how the author, Ms. Sylvie Stewart, tied all of this up in a pretty little bow and WOW I sure did not see that coming. WONDERFUL series. I cannot wait to see where she takes us next.

The fourth book in The Serrulata Saga by A.E. Bennett, this novella deepens the story of Patrick and Iseul. This story can be read as a stand-alone however you will not get all of the backstory and build-up. The characters are well developed, and the story progresses rapidly. This historical, fantasy/romantic adventure has sci-fi and dystopian elements with a MM romance as the main focus of the story. There is just enough action and drama to keep the story alive from beginning to end. I do recommend reading this series in order though so as to get the backstory and the build-up
Bad Enough (The Deadman’s Tribe Series Book 2) by Nicole Craig. This is a great 2nd book in the Deadman’s Tribe series. Its about Sylvan Jones who is a romance writer and in this new book she is venturing into the world of BDSM. She is given a anonymous mentor thru a chat group so that she can learn about the lifestyle. The mentor she is given is TB and he is very interested in this woman named “Flame” whom he is chatting with. The more he talks with her the more he wants her. TB (Lobo) is an IT specialist and when he and his team get hired to look for a missing girl which is the 5th girl to go missing in the same manner. When TB (Lobo) and Sylvan meet in real life to work on the missing girls case their feelings only become stronger. This book was really good because it didn’t just focus on the romance it had a lot of action and mystery which I love. Will Lobo and Sylvan realize what they have is special and will they find the missing girls before Sylvan finds herself one of the victims? Read this fast paced romance to find out!

Or will it follow her back to the familiar streets of home?” Not my favorite book so far of hers though, her other books I have read from her I liked a little bit better. This story was cute, the characters were great, the storyline was good, but I think it could have used some improvement but overall, it was nice story to read, I will continue to read more of her books. I give this book 3 stars.

The Silent Forest is the second book in The House on the Hill series. This novel is divided into two parts and each chapter is from a different character’s point of view including the town of New Haven. I didn’t realize the book was the second in the series at first, but eventually caught on. You don’t have to read the first book but it does help close some plot questions. The novel is a psychological thriller that’s unsettling and keeps you questioning about what’s going on. I’m interested to see where the third book in The House on the Hill series will take the reader.

Flying At Recess by Lois Wickstrom was a great children’s book with a magical feel. I will admit this book is different than what I am used to by this author but it is a good addition to my 7 year old’s library. My daughter loves butterflies, especially since my mother passed away so flying with butterflies was special to us. I personally loved the illustrations as well.

In the Midst of Omens (The Legacy of Gilgamesh Series) by Nicole Bailey – Review by Jessica Stone
So this is my first read of this authors, I have done some looking into them and it seems as though recreating stores based on myth and lore in a sort of retelling is their things. That being said I had heard the name Gilgamesh before but didn’t know to much about him until I read this book and did some further research.
This turned out to be a really fun read, it’s a little slow going at first but I believe many good books start slow to really build the character and the world that everything’s taking place in. That’s exactly what this author did, built and built and built until you can’t put the book down because you’re ensnared. The relationships between our main character in this story and everyone he interacts with is so genuine and thought it makes everything feel so genuine not only that but it creates a sense of familiarity for the reader that helps move the story along seamlessly.
I read that that is going to be a duology but I do believe that with everything the authors given us so far it has the potential to be many more books that that, but I am truly excited to see where she takes us in the next book. The angst and slow burn of this book was ADDICTIVE, I couldn’t help but keep reading to see if one of the characters would finally give in, and i was not disappointed!

As a fan of Agatha Christie and writers of her ilk, I found the premise of this book to be intriguing. English professor Lexie Driscoll has started a bookclub revolving around the Golden Age of Mystery, including authors like Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh etc. The first meeting is at a friend’s large home in an upscale area, where one of the members is found dead. At first, it seems as if it is natural causes but Lexie suspects otherwise and an autopsy confirms that her friend was poisoned! Lexie resolves to use her knowledge from mystery books to help solve the crime, but the more she digs, the more secrets she finds! This was an enjoyable cozy mystery, very much in the style of Agatha Christie.

This was better than I thought! I definitely was creeped out by some of these stories. I appreciated that it was a collection of short stories. I feel that format allowed for it to do as intended. I would definitely recommend this one.
