Murder by Moonlight is the first book in the Felines of Fairytale Forest Series by K.L. Montgomery. This book really isn’t like anything else I have ever read. We are following our protagonist Catherine (Cat) who is a night time custodian at a Fairytale theme park in South Caroline. Everything is business as usual until one of the Managers turns up murder. Though no one really liked the manager all that much the murder is still not great. Cat finds herself on the list of suspects and has to attempt to find the real killer and clear her name. She gets help from Zoe and Gloria to try to solve the mystery before its to late. This book is absolutely fun and intriguing. You will not want to put it down. 4 out of 5 stars!

It’s funny how I keep picking up books that I end up massively relating to. Cadence is stuck in an unhappy, toxic, passionless relationship until her sister drags her to see a band and she can’t keep her eyes off the lead singer. They don’t get along at first, but end up forming a deep friendship, which allows Cadence to grow the strength she needs. It’s an emotional story all-round, as well as relatable, and inspirational, and romantic. I did find a few issues towards the end, for instance, I feel like Damien’s history is the kind of story that contributes towards the lack of belief in women, I thought her connection to music would come sooner, months go by in the space of a few chapters, a lot comes out about Elijah, there’s a huge level of miscommunication, and I’m guessing the reveal at the end is a hint towards the next in the series but I hadn’t connected to the relevant characters enough for it to make an impact. But overall it was a passionate love story and I’m happy with how it worked out. My favourite character was Cadence and my least favourite character was Elijah. I recommend this book because it is inspiring especially if you find yourself stuck in an unhappy situation. And we’ve all dreamed about singing along with a rockstar, haven’t we? ‘There was something inspiring about hitting rock bottom and creating yourself all over again, brick by brick.’

Second Glance: A Serrulata Saga Romance Novel by A.E. Bennett is a forbidden MM romance with an HEA. This book really has it all. The disability representation the LQBTQ rep. This book is apart of a series but can be read as a standalone. You will fall into this world effortlessly and when you resurface into reality you will quickly realize that you have been reading much longer than you expected. You get sucked in, in the best possible way. I highly recommend giving this story a read if you enjoy a story that will give you all the feels and still has plenty of spice. 4 out of 5 stars.

As always, if it has mythology, regardless of which type, it’s going to catch my eye, and this story was no different. Having studied Gilgamesh, I was intrigued to see how the author would interpret his story and I thought she did an amazing job. This was a fast paced story that eventually draws you in so deep you can’t stop until the final page. I am definitely looking forward to book 2 as book 1 leaves us in a bit of a cliffhanger. The author did a great job of making the relationships between the characters feel genuine and real, even in the midst of gods and goddesses. She doe an amazing job with the character development and you truly want what’s best for them. I also loved the vivid deals in her descriptions, you really feel like you are transported to a new world.

I am not a huge fan of the paranormal genre but this book intrigued me and it did not disappoint. It was quirky, fun and imaginative. I have read several of Naomi Valkyrie’s books now and they are all well written and will draw you in and make you feel as if you are part of the story. Watching as Lock discovers the changes in himself is both comical and horrifying and will keep you reading just to discover what is next for the poor guy. Quick read and so worth it.
Racoon Reunion was such a fun kids book. The pictures are so colorful. I love how the book teaches kids about problem solving and friendships. The character building is great. This book was such an easy read. My 9 year old loved it.
I am totally hooked on this wonderful authors writing so much so that just seeing her name means I know it must read the book. I enjoyed the first book of this trilogy so much that I started reading this second book as soon as I finished the last page and OMG I am so glad that I did. Rachel & Miguel had me held captive right from the start and I just couldn’t get enough. You will Laugh, maybe even Cry and as always with this author, go through so many emotions during this sweet and quirky ( I think that’s the right word to use lol) read. I just can’t wait for more of this trilogy and from this amazingly talented Author!

The wonderful characters she creates, the storylines she weaves and the emotions she draws from the page are simply not to be missed!! I was happy to see Tess back and getting her own story. This book was so many things it truly is hard to describe. Salt Love is a cute story. Of two characters who fight to admit who they are and what they want. I really like the growth of the two main characters as they navigated their new life. I say that in a figurative sense. This author sucks the reader in with the fall of Kenna’s life. Kenna has been placed on sabbatical after losing it when she didn’t get the promotion. A promotion that went to a woman who was also currently sleeping with her husband. On top of finding out her aunt passed away. A small trip to Florida to settle her aunt’s affairs finds herself in a situation she’s not sure how to handle. With a man she’s extremely attracted too and doesn’t want to be. Dec leads a quiet life in the keys. Hiding away from a life he left behind. Befriending Maeve was easy. Having to handle the responsibilities after her death not so much. He was attracted to Kenna and he doesn’t like it. He’s not someone to be tied down. He likes her but is scared to admit to himself.. She’s dealing with a divorce and sworn off men. What will they do? They have no choice to run the business together for a year, or she has to give up her inheritance. The dynamic between them is sometimes swoon worthy. Who doesn’t wish for that kind of banter. Playful and fun. That’s what made me love it! Can’t wait to check out more books by this author in the future.

I love when novels jump right “into it” and Salt Love didn’t miss a beat. This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I was not disappointed. Straight away I was drawn to the cover art! Quickly I was drawn into the storyline and really instantly fell in love with our main female. I liked that we were able to experience Dec’s perspective too with the alternating narration. Overall, this book had a little bit of everything and was the perfect storyline to kick off my lakeside vacation.

The Monkey Island Murder: A Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery (Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery Series) by Rosalind Barden. This is such a fun series about a young orphan girl named Sparky. She lives in Los Angeles during the depression and she was formally a street kid but is now living with all kinds of different characters. When her boss is accused of murder Sparky realizes she has to solve the case to save him. With all kinds of craziness happening while trying to solve the murder Sparky puts herself and others in harms way. Will she be able to solve the murder before another one happens? Such a fun mystery for young kids. The writing is so well done I felt like I was living in LA during the depression!

Murder by Moonlight is the first book in the Felines of Fairytale Forest series and is a delightful cozy mystery book. the book is told from the point of view of Catherine (Cat) Lyon, a nightshift custodian at the family-run Fairytale Forest amusement park, and Zoe, the leader of one of the groups of feral cats that help to keep the vermin down in the park. Cat and her co-worker Gloria are shocked to find the dead body of their unpopular supervisor after having been lead there by Zoe, who can talk telepathically to Cat. Several people had motives, including Cat, so she must try to clear her name & figure out who did the murder, with the help of Zoe and the clowder of cats. It is quite a different take on a cozy mystery, one that is fast-paced and funny, and I found it hard to put down. I will be definitely be getting the next book to see what further adventures they have at Fairytale Forest!

Salt Love is a romantic comedy by Marika Ray. Kenna Cugly is having the worst time of her life when she gets the news that her aunt has died. Now Kenna has to go down to Florida while also reeling from having to take a forced sabbatical from work and being served divorce papers from her cheating husband. Fortunately, this trip to read her aunt’s will is the right step in a new direction. Kenna is such a relatable character. Everyone can relate to being at that point where everything is falling apart. This book gives you hope that a second chance is possible for you too. The romance was sweet. I didn’t like Dec at first but he ended up being a great guy and the chemistry between him and Kenna is great. The other characters in this story are great as well. The friendship between Kenna and Liz is perfect. This is a fun book for those who love to see characters remake their lives.

The Amanda Mini-Mysteries by Lois Wickstrom. This is such a fun kids book filled with scientific experiments. Its a read that would better suit ages 9-12 and could be a fun family read. I read this with my 11 year old nephew and we both enjoyed it. Its about Amanda and her friend Elaine as they investigate mini-mysteries and find out why things turn out certain ways. If you love science and mysteries this book is for you and the child in your life. We really enjoyed it and will do some of the experiments mentioned. This book would make a great gift for a elementary teacher for her class.
Spirit Guide is the third book in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries series. Elinor finds herself solving yet another mystery with Tristan. This time the daughter of a baron is missing. When Tristan comes to Elinor for help she is all too eager to help. Unfortunately, The Morpheus Society may have something to do with the missing woman. I enjoyed this installment of the series. The addition of Twyla to the group of Elinor, Tristan, and the others adds some different energy and comedy. The plot is again well-written and engaging, The mystery keeps you guessing. I love the many laugh-out-loud moments. We are getting to see a little bit of movement with Tristan and Elinor which is lovely to see. I like Twyla and Elinor together. Twyla is frustrating but sweet and cares a lot about what Elinor thinks. This was a great addition to the series.

I finished the first book eager for more, and finished this the same way. Honestly, I love this series and am excited for more. This picked up right where the first book left off and might be confusing to those that hadn’t read The Misery House. Kaia is amazing and Allison is so lucky to have a friend like her. But honestly, we knew that in book 1. However, this goes on to show just how great of a friend she is. I am already ready for book 3!

This is one of my absolute favorite authors and have read countless books by them. Somehow they knock each and every one out of the park, and this is no exception. There is a magnificent blend of paranormal happenings, wonderful humor, and romance throughout. I definitely laughed loud enough to startle my family multiple times. You will be gripped from the very first chapter because we have to know about the gumball! I’ll never understand how the author writes such short stories without sacrificing quality every time, but you won’t hear me complaining. If you’re looking for a quick and unique read that will make you laugh and feel for each character while getting lost in a vivid world, pick this book up right now! I cannot wait to grab another book by this author because I can’t get enough.
This is the second book in The House on the Hill series, and it was absolutely incredible! I love thrillers and being kept on the edge of my seat, so this seemed right up my alley. I fell into my reading groove fairly quickly with the flow of the story feeling natural. It was impossible to put down once I dove in because the suspense was killing me. I had to know what was going to happen! Kaia is an amazing character that is strong and relatable. I highly recommend picking up the first book in the series before jumping into this one as you may end up a little confused without it. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!

The Silent Forest is the second book in The House on the Hill series. I do recommend reading the first book first but you can jump in with this book. Personally I think this book was even better than the first. I was glued to this story and had to stay up for just one more chapter! Again the author writes in multiple POVs which sometimes I don’t like but it really was perfect this time. I felt more connected to each character. I was glad to see this book answered some questions I had at the end of the first book, but left me with more questions! I can not wait to get my hands on the third book! If you like psychological thrillers that leave your heart racing, then go start this series today!

This is an author that Ihave enjoyed listening to from the first audio book. I enjoyed how the narrator pulled me into the story using different tones for the characters. Edward and Lisette are great characters that I really enjoyed. They are strong characters that have great chemistry. This is an easy and entertaining story to listen to. I really enjoy this author and I highly recommend this audiobook.

This is the first book in the Felines Of Fairytale Forest series. I loved this cosy mystery. It was such a good read that I couldn’t put it down. The authors story was so unique and full of twists that I had keep reading to find out who did it. I also loved how the author tells the story from the perspective of Cat(human) and Zoe(cat). How they work together using their unique skills to get to the bottom of this mystery was very unique.
Cat works as a janitor at night for Fairytale Forest Amusement park. What started as a normal night took a turn for the worse when the parks resident cats started to act weird and leads Cat and her friend Gloria to a body. Who is responsible for this murder? What will it mean for the park and the cats who live there? With Cat fast becoming the main suspect she knows she needs to find the real killer to clear her name so with the aid of Zoe and her fellow felines they work together to find and bring the murderer to justice. Can they succeed?

I grabbed this book right up after I finished the first one. And this one just like the first did not disappoint. this was another suspense building book that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reding. This book does build on from the first book so I highly recommend that you read the fist one, or you will differently be lost for sure in this book. A girl is still missing, A sheriff still not liking the whole situation, danger in every corner, secrets being exposed the maybe should have been left unsaid, and still that darn house. So, if you like not sleeping then I highly recommend this book, but be prepared for suspense, mystery, hatred, secrets, getting mad at somethings, and page turning reading then this is for you.

This book was gripping from the beginning, it has this horror like Stephen king which really made me want to read it more. Its flow to the book I really had to focus on because it did get told from different character views but other than that it was very captivating from the beginning. A new family, a house no one visits, a fire where the shop owner and son don’t make it, a sheriff just making assumptions for people he doesn’t like, animals going crazy and change people, mystery lights and so much more. This book had so much going for it that I really couldn’t put it down, I felt like I was there watching the Woods family and everything going on in the town of mystery. This book was filled with edge of your seat suspense, thriller, horror, mystery, lies, truth and some urban legends that get thrown into the mix. I highly recommend this book but read it too close to bedtime, until you like that. Diving into book 2 will be my next thing to do.

Having been at a funeral the day before starting this read I think emotions were still very high but reading what Adelaide had to go through with her mother in jaw and so called best friend had me sick to the pit of my stomach and what little I knew of her and Scott at the time I think he would’ve been mortified , I’m sorry sorry Adelaide 😭😭🤗
So Adelaide buys an old run down farmhouse in a small town called Williwbrook Lake and yes it’s falling apart but I’m already in love with it and the town 🤣🥰and it seems Adelaide has found her people …. So a few chapters in and already I knew this was going to be one of my favourite reads for the year ! I settled in with a chai latte (Adelaide had he craving for one ) and got lost in a beautiful read
Adelaide is a gentle soul and the town has fallen in love with and it’s mutual she’s really found home and her people and she deserves a second chance at happiness ….🥰
Then there’s little Nora 🐾❣️🐱the little furry feline that steals Adelaide’s heart and I’m a firm believer that the way a person treats an animal speaks volumes of their character and Adelaide has a pure heart , a kind and sincere soul , I’d like to claim her as my new bestie 🥰🤣😉and let’s not forget Kane and Stella 🐾I looked up their breed and they’re huge! But they’re really loveable 🐶🐾🥰
Owen’s bark is worse than his bite he just wants to come across as gruff and uninterested but he’s just a real old teddy bear and Adelaide got under his skin that first day she nearly caused an accident ….. when he allows to help with the renovations he’s always patient with her , he cares about her well being and safety and he’s almost always around when she needs him … if she wasn’t going to take him I was going to 🤣🙈🥰 as much as he wants her he respects her loss and that makes me love him even more , these 2 belong together and I’m sorry she had to go through such a heartache to find her HEA 🥰
The people of Willowbrook are kind , loving , supportive and a tight knit community , friendships are built that last lifetimes , you just want to be a part of them 🥰 can’t wait to visit again 😉

This book is super helpful! I’ve struggled for years with procrastination issues and being unable to finish tasks that are really needing to be done. Not all the techniques work for me but I’ve found a few to be super helpful and make me feel better about myself and get my house and things organized.

How stinking cute of a book!! It was fast paced and a quick read. It was fun, crazy and chaotic and had me laughing throughout the whole book because of the ridiculousness of it. Pure fun! Oh and it has a cigar smoking octopus named Clyde….. This is a short novella of paranormal romance (m/m) with a bit of magic and pure chaos. I haven’t laughed at a book in a long time and I so enjoyed my time reading this book! I am giving this book 5+ stars just because of how it made me laugh and forget about everyday life. Good stuff!
