This is a really cute story of Joe, an extremely eager kiddo who really wants to learn how to read. I loved how enthusiastic Joe’s character is about reading and the explanation he gets after his adventures about how learning to read takes time. I also really appreciate the diversity represented in this book. The illustrations are great and go really well with the story. This is a great read if you have kiddos who are learning how to read or maybe starting to learn and may be a little frustrated with their progress.
