This is such a cute story. I read it with my 7yo son who liked it too. He remembered being eager to learn to read as well. He couldn’t wait to read and was impatient just like Joe! He actually even looked similar to Joe except for the glasses. Even though my son is a fantastic reader now, he still gets impatient about learning things. He related to this boy throughout the whole story. Joe is a lot like other curious minded kids. We thought the illustrations were bright and beautiful too.
