Driving into the Night by Amanda Kay is a short read. This book is a great fantasy and is an original tale about 2 guys. One is a hunter and the other is a demon angel that needs to be killed. I love how the romance doesn’t overlap the story but also ties into it. I love how Amanda Kay wrote the characters and how likable they are. Off the bat, you can tell who the villain is. I also love how the story completes itself in 1 book. This book is for people who love fast-paced fantasy books with romance.

Made to Love Her: Romantic Suspense Novella by Michele Sims
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Made to Love Her by Michele Sims is my first read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. The story was a very quick read, but no less an adventure carved out of romance and suspense. Leica and Cade are a dream couple. Married with children and growing evermore in love as time goes on. But when they find themselves in the middle of a dark scheme, trust and loyalty are put to the test. The characters were very well developed and it was easy to fall in love with the relationship between the main characters. If you are looking for a quick read that will squeeze your heart and also keep you on edge, I highly recommend. I read this with no problem as a standalone!

This is a super cute read and I absolutely loved the brightness and creativity of the illustrations. This book is catchy and kiddos will love the sing-songy rhythm of the story. I really loved the concept of the story because who, as a child, hasn’t really wondered what would happen if you actually ate the glue??? This book is so entertaining that your littles will be laughing all the way through.

Brooke May has become an author that I automatically add to my list whenever she comes out with a new book! I absolutely loves She’s My Rhinestone Cowgirl! Trinity and Shooter’s story is one for the ages! This is the seventh book in the series, but don’t worry…you can read this as a standalone (I did) but trust me…you will be going back to pick up the rest of the series and binging them as well. Trinity and Shooter dated early on in high school, but Trinity broke Shooter’s heart to chase her dreams. Now, Trinity has fulfilled her dream of being a rodeo queen and is almost done with that life. Shooter hasn’t quite met his life goals and is now back in his hometown as the newest deputy sheriff. Can they reconnect or is the heartbreak for both of them still too raw and real? This is a contemporary, second-chance romance that will have your heartstrings in a twist (and maybe your panties;)). The chemistry between Trinity and Shooter is undeniable and so steamy you can feel it coming off the pages. This is a must read for anyone who loves a good romance, but especially if you are partial to second chances and cowboys.

This is again such a cute book series love that every book teaches your child a lesson from right from wrong to being patient. great starter books for a child going to read these to my grandbabies so that know these valuable lessons. Definitely a great recommendation.

This story was the ultimate wild card – I thought I had it pegged, but oh no, it was so much more than that! The characters were all kinds of awesome, each one more unique than the last. Sinister you took unpredictability to a whole new level. Now I’m obsessed, and I need more of these characters in my life, stat – like, it’s a necessity!

This is another great addition to the series that is both informative and easy to read. It teaches children about the responsibility of pet ownership and how to properly raise and care for their dogs. It is full of rhymes which makes it fun while children can also learn from it. The illustrations are bright and colorful which really make the story pop and bring it to life. This book includes healthy recipes for your dog that children will love to help you make for their pet.

I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait to read the next. Lee Wood has a way of pulling you into the story by grabbing your attention from the very beginning. There is great character development that had me attached to James, the lead character right away. Well done, Lee Wood!

Quick but good read. It has some mature parts that wouldn’t be appropriate for younger readers. It progressed fast and jumped time a few times bit is detailed for such a short story. I do have questions but hopefully they will be answered in the next books.
Midnight Falls by John (ronin) Evans

Josh Blevins has left college to return home with his dog Nimrod. He works as a freelance writer and moves into his new home. Josh soon discovers that there is something very wrong in Midnight Falls. Now Josh has to decide whether to run away or fight. Midnight Falls was a very chilling and engaging story. I enjoyed the author’s style of writing. His descriptive language helps engulf you in the atmosphere. Mr. Evans does a great job of creating a dark background reminiscent of a horror movie. There was a nice variety of characters and I enjoyed Josh’s relationship with all of them. This is a great book for those who enjoy old-school horror.
Mr Lucky by Lee Wood

I enjoyed the book; to be honest at first, I felt there were too many characters, and up until a quarter way through the book each character kind of felt like a diary entry. I am glad to say that the writing changed and no longer felt like quick moments from the day.
I really liked James, I couldn’t believe how soon his wife and children were taken from him and it upset me that he honestly didn’t even do anything yet. Which leads you to Dave, the character you love to hate. Really, I was just hoping for someone to take him out, I wanted him to leave James alone.
I recommend the book to all crime reader lovers.

This is a interesting read from the Moore family Saga series. This book can be read as a standalone, however I feel you will have a better grasp on the characters if the books are read in order. This is a quick read but it is filled with plenty of action, suspense, danger, and of course romance. For me personally I felt it was a little short and too much was crammed in which meant I found the book a little confusing as it jumped from one situation to the next without much context.
That been said it was still an enjoyable read. I just wish it was longer. The relationship between Cade and Lecia Moore is beautiful and their love for each other really stands out.
When they find themselves placed in a dangerous situation they don’t know who they can trust. Who is trying to harm them and why? And will they succeed in destroying this perfect couple?

Luca Magoo, Don’t Eat the Glue by Megan Delgado is a fun children’s story, with some valuable life lessons on offer. The illustrations really brought the whole story to life, spurring the imagination with their cute, colourful, and engaging scenes.
Luca Magoo loves being creative, so when art class rolls around he is excited for a chance to let loose his artistic flair – but what happens when he is tempted to taste the sticky glue? This fun story takes us through all the ‘possible’ consequences’ and what Luca imagines might happen. This teaches children about curiosity, temptation, creativity, self-control, classroom etiquette, following rules for safety, and making sensible choices.
This was a great little read, my grandson loved reading this with me and caught on very quickly that Luca was not meant to eat the glue lol.
Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Delgado does next,

Forever to Fall is the 5th book in the Buckeye Falls Series by Libby Kay. It follows Mallory and Beckett as they find each other again after many years. Childhood sweethearts, Mallory and Beckett have never found some one else but the timing hasn’t been right to find each other either. After 15 years it seems that it may be time to move on but Buckeye Falls has other plans for this couple. Following the tradition of the series, this book is a sweet, clean romance reminiscent of a Hallmark movie. Best read in order – Enjoy!

This young adult fantasy romance follows Gillian as she enters the forbidden Shadowlands in an attempt to save her brothers life. Gillian soon meets Roman who is the son of the Great Dragon and her quest becomes more than she could imagine. Caught between dangers and learning more about herself, Gillian tries to be strong in the face of great odds. This book combines lore from various fantasy sources while adding some of its own. I’d think it best enjoyed in front of a crackling fire.

Falling for a Star in the City by Krysten Lindsay Hager is the second book in the Stars in the City Series. This one follows struggling actress Paige who had had a miserable week – breakup with her boyfriend, acting job on hold, and an internship in a career she isn’t happy in. Down in the dumps, Paige runs into Viktor a hot hockey player with an intense gaze. As she navigates this challenging week and emotions start to form, Paige worries that the differences between her and Viktor are insurmountable. This book is a lovely romance that highlights the 360s life throws at us. The series could probably be read as stand‐alones but characters make reappearances so I’d suggest reading in order. Enjoy!

They are also accompanied by detailed and beautiful images. The end has a glossary so parents can explain the words to those curious Littles. Read this with your kids but, maybe, not before bed – unless you want to stay up late with questions like I accidentally did!

The Crown of Stones Complete Trilogy by C.L. Schneider

Magic Price by C.L. Schneider is the first book in The Crown of Stones trilogy. It follows Ian Troy, a Shinree solider known for ending a decades-long war with the Crown of Stones. His skills in magic and battle are both feared and needed. This lone wolf suddenly finds himself back in the middle of battle 10 years later with returning and new enemies.
The second book, Magic Scars, starts two and half years after the ending of the first book. We pick up with Ian Troy once more as he is freed from the terrible prison in Darkthorne. Having been under a drug which takes memory, self, and will away – Ian struggles to find his new self in the fray. Friends are scattered, enemies are everywhere, and Ian is now at the center of a rebellion.
These books are filled with creative world-building and characters that have depth. This series is a good pick for fans of dark fantasy but definitely needs to be read in order.

Another Fantastic short story by this talented author. Also the cover was beautiful. I love the colors and the little details in it. It’s so crazy how the author can fit some much action packed, spice filled suspense into such a short read. It truly does not disappoint. The author’s writing is unique and brings a fresh perspective to the fantasy genre, blending whimsical elements with darker themes. creating a perfect balance between light-hearted moments and more serious undertones.The world-building is imaginative, and the character development is intriguing, making it a compelling read for those who enjoy fantasy with crazy twists. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Miss Georgiana Darcy’s Quest for Love is a interesting take from Pride and Prejudice that is a novelette, short version. This historical romance brings to life for Georgiana Darcy to find the love she is seeking. With some help…trying to find one’s true love can be challenging.
This was a good read and I enjoyed a variation if Georgiana can find happiness after the fall-out with Mr. Wickham. Some parts were a bit slow, but otherwise I do appreciate this unique story. I loved having the characters included in this story that I love about Pride and Prejudice.

I honestly did not know if I was going to like this book at first, but then it grabbed me and didn’t let go. I’m desperately hoping the author writes more books with these characters!
I love that Belladonna is a hybrid pixie/necromancer. It’s something I’ve never read about before, and the premise is an interesting one! She is written like a true pixie-sneaky, cruel, beautiful, dangerous, and remorseless. I adore her!
Rene is desperately seeking the person who murdered his twin sister and trying to cope with the loss in the only way he knows how-the bottom of a bottle. He starts seeing purple eyes and having euphoric experiences in a half-dreamlike state and believes he is losing his mind. It’s Belladonna doing her pixie shenanigans. At first, you really dislike her for using and abusing him the way she does (at least I did), but somehow you end up liking them as a team/couple by the end of the book. The twist at the end (the murderer) fit perfectly. There is enough foreshadowing that I guessed it, but I didn’t guess it so early that I was upset. The timing was perfect.
This is a quick, easy read and it is more plot than spice. Definitely check the triggers-it’s marketed as a dark paranormal book for a reason, and mental health is important.
I want to know more. I want to read about the team saving more paranormal creatures. I want to know if two of the characters actually went on the date she promised and how it went. I want to know how Rene handles being tied to Belladonna in the long run. I want to know about Belladonna’s past. There are so many ways the author could run with this book and these characters and I’m here begging for it!

Shooter was the love-struck rancher who would rather put love before their dreams but his passion chose him. After graduation, Shooter goes off to college to try his hand at becoming a lawyer but he changes his mind and becomes a Deputy Sheriff. Bring him back to Elk Field’s as the new Deputy Sherif and Trinity’s reign as Elk Field’s Rodeo Queen could this be their second chance at love? This book was full of love, tears, and new determination. I love how the author builds this love story.

This book was great. The characters, the overall plot, all great. The only downside of this book was that I felt like it could have had more detail and brought more side stories to life. I am the type of person who enjoys a good quest, but the side quests really make or break the story.
I think the author has some great characters and a storyline that is entertaining for fantasy readers. This was a quick and easy read. It was very difficult to put down once I started reading it. I would definitely recommend to all fantasy/mystery lovers.

This very quick-read novelette features one of the Pride and Prejudice characters that Ms. Jane Austen wrote about. Georgiana is looking for love and a house party ensues to find her a suitable partner.
This book is so short that it’s hard to say much more about it without giving away any parts. I did find it a bit difficult to get into but once I did finally “get in the groove”, it was almost over. It’s an enjoyable read but not a favorite of mine.
Productivity is Power: Five Liberating Practices for College Students by Hillary Rettig

As you have probably gathered by the title this book is specifically aimed at college students, but it would serve anyone well. It is a helpful model with teaching tools, tips, strategies and the like to becoming re-empowered, to finding your lost enthusiasm and being productive once again.

Productivity is Power: Five Liberating Practices for College Students is just what you need to get out of a funk or pull yourself from that rut. It has some good principles and methodologies that won’t cramp your style and are easy to put into practice.

What is that saying, “Curiosity killed the cat”. Luca Magoo is a typical boy who is full of curiosity and wonder and definitely someone who needs to be watched. Wherever he goes there is mayhem and madness especially in the classroom. However, he does learn some valuable lessons about is inquisitive nature. Not only does Luca learn but his teacher does as well.
Luca Magoo, Don’t Eat The Glue is a wonderful and colourful picture book that is good for school but also for everyday life. Kaylee Hawley fun pictures bring the story to life.

This Pride and Prejudice variation novelette is a captivating historical romance. Having been compromised by the wicked Mr Wickham, Miss Georgiana Darcy has been living with her brother and his family at Pemberley. Although content she would like her own happy marriage like her brother and Lizzy have. Whilst Lizzy enjoys playing matchmaker, Mr Darcy keeps a watchful eye on any potential suitors. Georgiana must discover if any of them can be trusted. This is a very short read but full of wonderful characters and an intriguing storyline based on a Jane Austen classic. I liked the optional epilogue which contained some marital bedroom scenes. The Regency era was brought to life as was Pemberley through the descriptive narrative. Although part of a series it is a standalone story.
