This is a great story. It helps remind children that sometimes it is the smallest things that make them special. I agree that often it is the big splashy things that make the most noise and leave people feeling like they are not important because they are not able to do that big splashy thing or only able to do it but not at the level of someone else. I love how this story brings home the message that being kind and helping others is equally valuable and worthy of being rewarded. I recommend this book to anyone with children who need this kind of affirmation.
