Sanctuary, Bree M. Lewandowski, Review by Ashley Schoen, October 2024, Fantasy, Romance

SanctuarySanctuary by Bree M. Lewandowski
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I dove into Sanctuary by Bree M Lewandowski as my first romantasy, and it didn’t disappoint! This book pulls you into a world that feels like a mix of Game of Thrones and The Hunger Games, with complex characters and a dark, mysterious vibe that kept me hooked.

Petra Ondise is fierce and determined, climbing her way up from a humble washermaid to uncover the truth about her brother’s death. Her connection with Rand, the intense and mysterious captain, is full of chemistry and tension—definitely a highlight! The world-building is rich and adds depth without being overwhelming.

A few spots were a bit slow, but overall, Sanctuary kept me turning the pages. It’s a gripping and satisfying read that has me wanting more of their story and more fantasy romance!
