4 out of 5 stars. I would consider this book a medium paced YA Fantasy. The world building and story that was created was fascinating. You follow a group of teenagers from earth who stumble upon a portal that leads them to a new realm that it built around magic. Those who wield magic, the mages, are very powerful persons within the realm, some are even the princes and princesses of the realm, and those who do not wield magic, are the commoners. Our group of teens are split up around the realm and must find their way back to each other, as well as figuring out who they can trust in this new world, who they should not. There are lots of twists and turns and I very much am looking forward to book two!
