Murder Most Pemberley (Eliza Darcy Mysteries Book 1) by Jessica Berg – Review by Shea Gilkerson 7/31/22
Murder Most Pemberley by Jessica Berg
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Eliza is an American headed to the UK for a family reunion of the Jane Austen variety. She has a whole list of things she would like to knock off her bucket list while there, but she is really there to fix a family issue between her father and uncle. What starts as just a mission to find out why her father was estranged from her family turns into a real whodunit when bodies start piling up.
I caught a few references to the Austen line of books with the Darcy’s and the Bennett’s but I’m not an Austen reader. That being said, this was still a really great, fun, well written book and I loved every word! Eliza is a wonderful character full of personality and drive and smarts. Heath is a perfect play against her. The wacky aunt makes every appearance enjoyable. Just…read this book. I can’t wait for the next installment!
