The Ring of Eagna (The Cross of Ciaran Book 4) by Andrea Matthews – Review by Kerry Carr

The Ring of Eagna (The Cross of Ciaran #4)The Ring of Eagna by Andrea Matthews
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the fourth book in The Cross of Ciaran series. I love these books so much. The author takes us on a magical adventure filled with danger, magic, a secret treasure, Romance and some time travel. The author does an amazing job of writing a unique story with historical elements that really bring the story to life.
As this is the 4th book in the series I really recommend that you read the other 3 books first as they all follow each other and without it i feel you wouldn’t understand the links to the past the characters have and how they got to where they are now.

We are back with Ciaran and Aodhán as they go on an adventure to find treasure they learnt about in ancient manuscripts. They have 2 of the 3 rings needed so all they need to do is find the 3rd ring and then the treasure. Should be simple right? However they aren’t the only people looking for this ancient treasure and their search leads them into more danger than they have ever been before.
Will they be able to find the treasure? Does it even exist or is it a myth?
Who else is after the treasure and what lengths will they go to, to make sure that Ciaran and Aodhan and Caitlin don’t find it?

This story is fast paced and full of twists and turns that I couldn’t even guess who the bad guys were. It kept me captivated from beginning to end.
