This series overall…WHOA! Get you a rainy day, a cozy blanket and a nice chair, with a cup of coffee, tea, or whiskey…whatever your preference 😉 and BINGE THIS SERIES NOW! I could not put these books down. Was each book a 5-star? No, but overall this series has it all…amazing plot lines, fantastic character development, and enough sparks to set a substantial flame. All four of these stories are standalones (but why read just one?) and they are contemporary romances but each book has it’s own unique storyline and characters. Echoing Hearts is the enemies-to-lovers type possible love triangle story of Dean and Rae who just can’t seem to get away from one another. Alam takes her readers on an emotional rollercoaster in this story and quite a few times you really just want to smack the characters upside the head. His Forever Muse is the kind of starry-eyed, breathy sigh story of Brandon and Calliope who’ve known each other since childhood…and perhaps have already tried to have a go at this thing called love. This would be your second-chance, friends-to-lovers romance. Unexpected Entanglement was my favorite out of the series. I love the fake dating and forced proximity trope and this one had both. Rowan and Chris are forced together to plan a wedding in two weeks…but sparks start flying. I really love the depth of this story and Alam just roped my in with this one. Definitely had my staying up way past my bed time to read “just one more chapter.” The final book in the series is Dangerous Rhythm and it’s your typical rockstar/bodyguard trope…with a twist…but I’m not gonna tell you what it is! This is Curtis and Lina’s story and it is filled with action, drama, danger, suspense, passion, and so much more. C. R. Alam has really outdone herself with The Echo Series. It’s definitely a series you are going to want to add to your collection and set aside some time to binge because once you start, you won’t be able to stop.
