So the story focuses around marital abuse and at times my heart broke when I was listening to this it was so gut-wrenching. From very early on you know exactly what it is going g to be happening in this book. I feel like the author handled it really well and respectively and sensitively too. I really like that the author tackled these topics and it was written really well.
The narrators of the audiobook did a fantastic job with this story and really brought it to life and also handled it with such care.
This book wrecked me and the audio version took it to a whole new level. Hearing the emotion I had already felt just made everything that much more tangible. The performance was well done and did credit to the author’s work. Again I loved the book and am thankful to have found it in audible. An excellent selection!

When you think you have found the special one, your world can come crashing down in an instant.
Gianna thought she was lucky when she met Ethan, when they decided to get married everything was going well. Until an instant changed the relationship and the marriage.
Gianna is a victim of domestic abuse and while this goes on for three years, she finally finds the courage to leave and escape the nightmare which has become her life, until she runs into a man from her past. Derek is nothing like Ethan, calm and patience can he help Gianna trust again and be able to live the life she was meant to live.
This is the first book I have read by this author and oh my what a book to start with. I can understand if some people shy away from this book due to the subject matter but Dakota’s writing is beautiful and respectful of the subject around domestic abuse.
My heart broke for the main character Gianna, as you see her eternal flame dying out with each attack by the person who is suppose to love and protect you. The turmoil she was in, her strength to move on with her life was brilliant. I also loved Derek’s character he was the calm reason to her life which made the story more palatable as there was a light at the end.

This was my first book by Dakota Willink. I loved listening to the audio book specifically because of the different voice actors that made the story come alive. They had a female for our main female character Gia. Then for Ethan and Derek they had male voices. It was a great way to show separation of characters and they really did a great job of showing each character’s personality. This story had some heartbreaking moments and some moments where you just wanted to say ‘YASS GIRL!’. **If you have triggers to rape please be aware there are situations in this book**

Before I start my praise for this book let me first say GREAT job to the narrators!!! All 3 did a superb job.
I started this book as if it was fated to be this way…. on the 25th of November (The first day of 16 Days of activism against woman and child abuse) Dakota Willink could not have done a better job!! Emotional, Gut wrenching, Suspenseful are some words to describe this masterpiece, but not only that…. strength, empowerment, healing, these are also words that come to mind when I think of this book. I myself have never been abused or hurt in any way but there’s always this lingering fear that it could happen. This book (even if it’s fiction) gave me hope that even if it happened, I would be able to have the strength to come out the otherside.
Now more about the writing…. I absolutely loved the fact that it was written from different POV’s ESPECIALLY!!! the fact that we got to see inside the twisted mind of Ethan, that was really something different that I haven’t seen before and it gave the story that extra layer of interest and intrigue. All 3 characters are well developed and the fact that the story took part over a couple of years made it more believable. I can go on and on about this book…. but I won’t…. JUST GET IT NOW!!!

4 Stars Alamir, Blood of Kaos is the first Book is this new series and it is a great start, Etain is a very powerful woman who came into her power in a bloody and messy way. She is constantly trying to decide who she is able to trust and who is out to get her. While Miller does an impressive job of weaving a tale full of descriptive action scenes and well-developed characters, the strongest point of this story is the supporting characters such as Spirit and Inferno. These characters give color and depth of the story that would otherwise be two dimensional.
Miller is an amazing author who impresses me with her ability to take characters from pages into reality. I am excited for book two.

This mystical fantasy was a great start to an amazing read. From first listen, I was enthralled with not only each character but their past and how it affected each one of them in so many different ways to the point where their past defined their present, their future and the way they operated because of that. You were captivated so much from loss, love, lust, betrayal and the impacts of distress, grief, loss and the way their trauma impacted their life. I don’t want to give too much away other than that but this was worth every single page to get engulfed in!

Alamir: Blood of Kaos is the first book of the Blood of Kaos by Nesa Miller. This book is the first book I have read by Ms. Miller but definitely won’t be the last. This story was an amazing and original story of light and dark. Etain and Adar are fantastic characters the grow as the story moves along. I can’t wait to listen/read the second book in this series.
This narrator is Ashley Nicole Stevens is a new to me narrator also. I enjoyed her tone and speed of the reading. She really brought the characters to life. I highly recommend this book.

Alamir: Blood of Kaos, Book 1, Audio Book By Nesa Miller
I love listening to audio books and this was no exception. The story caught my interest right from the start. The main character Etain is a girl I admire who I could could see myself befriending for her strength and courage after she loses her family. All the characters that come into play are well thought out. I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series.

This was my first book by Nesa Miller. The beginning of this book had me slightly confused but it ended up working out. Our lead female character is Etain, a human turned Alamir. Our main male character in my opinion is Dar- Lord Darknight. There are multiple players in this story and they’re all a great supporting cast. This story was well written and a unique take on lovers who have a hard time finding their time to be together. It was a good story and I look forward to the next book.

This book was great! It is my first book by this Author and also my first book by this Narrator. I thought this book was attention grabbing and I was excited to see where the story would go. Etain is our main charcter and she is an interesting one. She is strong and determined and you can’t help but like her. The author did an awesome job at keeping the story going and I enjoyed that this had some originality to it because I’ve never listened to anything like it. I will say it took a while for me to get use too the narrator. She had a very high voice at times and it threw me off a bit but it didn’t take away from the story and I still liked it a lot. I am looking forward to listing to more of this authors stories and I would recommend this to a friend! Happy Listening!

This story is full of steamy, sensual storyline with a mix of menage included. I really enjoyed this story the book twisted and turns into a great suspense which will have you hanging onto every word which you will not be able to stop listening too.
The story revolves around Dr Tessa Freeman who is trying to help the woman who find themselves within the ER from this hideous life but as she becomes a threat to the ring she is kidnapped and is in danger until Locke comes to rescue her but there is a negotiation involved where Locke gives her an ultimatum.
I have read to a few books by this author and this book certainly does not disappoint, if you’re looking for a steamy, well written story this is for you.

This book was completely captivating! I listened on my commute to and from work and found myself leaving for work early for extra listening time because the suspense of knowing where the story was going was KILLING me! I really liked the characters in this book. They seemed very real to me and I loved how the author did that. Also, steamy romance can be a hit or miss for me depending on the author’s language during those steamy scenes and India Kells definitely has the right words! Dan Price narrates this book and does a great job differentiating the different characters. I always knew who was sayin what and could feel their emotion through his voice. This was my first book by this author and I can’t wait to get my hands on another!

The Debt Collector: An Underground Bad Boys Romance by India Kells Five Stars
The Debt Collector is the first book in An Underground Bad Boys Romance Series by India Kells. I listen to this book on Audible. This is a fast paced book that was full of action and adventure. Dr. Tessa Freeman is a strong character that rolls with the punches. Locke is a mysterious man, who is in the right place at the right time. Then throw Gage into the mix and you have a recipe for a great romance. The chemistry in this book is off the charts. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
Dan Price is a new narrator to me. His voice is mellow and easy to listen to. He really brought the characters to life. I look forward to listening to more books narrated by him.

The Debt Collector by India Kells was a good read. Or well listen, because I listened to the audiobook version. I’m giving this book 4 stars for a couple of reasons. One reason, I feel like this book should come with a trigger warning for some of the content, and it didn’t. It only came with a warning for steam, being an 18+ adult novel. The steam was great, and it was very sexual! 5 stars on that, completely! My other issue (which isn’t the author’s fault at all) was the narrator of this audio book. I found myself laughing more often than not just because his voice was so awkward with the female voices, and the sex scenes in general. Other than those, this book was great! It did not disappoint at all.

You cannot help but get divulged in a book like this. The whole thing has your heart racing chapter after chapter! I’m sorry to get so excited but this doctor is a true heroine! She is that one you get caught up in and knows she’s the “it” (excuse my French) and for a great cause but this book goes deeper! As the doctor means well to save the girls, she’s caught up in a trap of manipulation at every turn: She knows better with all her fancy education but lust keeps screaming her name and her body is betraying her mind. The truth is behind the savagery she has to go through for answers. Is she really ready to risk it all? The choice is up to the doctor and her quest for answers. This book is filled with everything I love: A mystery, sexual chemistry, lust, desire, and suspense. I was all in reading this one! I couldn’t help it — I highly recommend it as India Kells is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Anything I see with her name, I can’t put down and this book was absolutely no exception. So, pick up your copy and you won’t be disappointed.

The Debt Collector (An Underground Bad Boys Romance) by India Kells 4 Stars!!!!
I will admit that this isn’t my go to genre but I do like to try out new types of books. I have to admit that I did find this book quite enjoyable. The author does a great job with handling the subject matter within the book. I found that I was quite drawn into this book as the drama unfolded in it. I found that hearing the audio book added even more. The narrator really has a great amount of enthusiasm and makes a great addition.
The emotions that Tessa went through and the drama I felt as though I was going through it vicariously through the character. I found that I started to route for Locke the more the book progressed. Sometimes the bad boy isn’t such a bad boy at all and they are the ones that save the damsel in distress. I really found the author’s writing style and will definitely read more from her in the future.

Romance. Suspense. Kells is a master at this genre. And this is my first audiobook of hers. I loved this book when I first read it and the narration takes this story to a completely different level. I felt the intensity of the characters and the romance in a way I was quite frankly unprepared for. This book, hardcover, electronic, or audio, is one that will leave you breathless from the suspense and fanning yourself due to the pure chemistry.

I was engrossed into this book and i didn’t want it to end. The narrator was great. I could tell the difference between the characters and i enjoyed the sound of his voice. The main male characters are what made me this book a good one. I admit it did take a while for me to like the female character but i ended up liking her by the end. Luke by Kimberly Lewis, narrarated by Tiffany Williams is book 3 in The McKades of Texas series. The characters were fun and light hearted and I really enjoyed the relationship build up. The story line was fun and sweet and just enough suspense of what was going to happen next kept me on the edge of my seat. I’m very particular about audible narrarators, but I really liked her. I will definitely read other books by this author. This is a newer author for me, and I’m really enjoying this series. I give this book a solid 5 stars.

I loved listening to Luke: The McKades of Texas, Book 3 by Kimberly Lewis and narrated by Tiffany Williams. As someone from Texas it was nice to hear some of our favorite sayings without them being too cheesy and not forced. Luke is a typical cowboy and Karlie has the dream of most little girls who grow up around a ranch. I would definitely recommend this audiobook!

I have only listened to about 4-5 audiobooks before I downloaded Luke. I love childhood crushes turned to adult romances so I decided to give it a go. At first I thought that I would be annoyed by the southern twang but I LOVED it and felt very connected to the woman’s voice who read the book. I felt like I was right there in the story and found myself wanting more quiet time to listen to this book. In this book you have Karlie and Luke. Karlie has ALWAYS loved Luke but she was much younger than Luke. Fast forward years later Karlie has graduated from college and ends up doing an internship at Luke’s family’s horse farm. Luke and Karlie start a secret relationship because they don’t want to upset their families that are really close. I really enjoyed this book and now want to go back and read about the rest of the family!

Luke: The McKades of Texas by Kimberly Lewis 4 out of 5 Stars This book is sassy. I love friends to lovers books, but I love it even more when one is so deeply invested in the outcome of their forever. Karlie Kyle loves Luke McKade, has for years. But all Luke sees is his mother’s best friend’s daughter. Determined to change how he sees her, Karlie returns to her hometown, to Luke family ranch to be specific, to do an internship after college. Luke is gob smacked at how just not so little Karlie is any more. Convincing Luke to be her summer fling isn’t as hard as Karlie thought, but convincing him to be her forever….well that is going to take nothing less than a miracle. This is a dual POV book. The flipping viewpoints allows us to see both perspectives of the story from both dynamics. Karlie is fierce and independent and knows exactly what she wants and what she will do to get it. Luke is a typical alpha, southern male who is struggling with changing his commitment phobia ways to obtain his happily ever after. This is easily a 4 out of 5 stars!

Luke (The McKades of Texas #3) by Kimberly Lewis 4 out of 5 stars
Luke is the third book of the Mckade’s of Texas written by Kimberly Lewis and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. The characters are well written and it pulled me into the story with ease and held my attention to the end.
All Karlie Jo wants is a life with Luke she want him to fall in love with her and have a happily ever after she has had a crush on him forever. Now Karlie Jo is back in town all grown up and she has plans for Luke.
Luke is shocked when he realizes that Karlie Jo isn’t a little girl anymore. What surprise’s him the most is the lust he feels when he sees her again. Karlie Jo comes up with a proposition he can’t refuse because he is really happy to oblige even if it’s temporarily.
Karlie is willing to play along, for now but her heart is set on forever. As raw desire sparks something deeper, can Karlie convince Luke that rules are meant to be broken? Or will their passionate summer fling end with broken hearts instead?
This is a great read and I highly recommend it… By

This contemporary romance – all the feels. All of them. It doesn’t get stuck in the western stereotype. The characters are relatable and the plot moves well. This book grabs you on page one and doesn’t let go until it ends. I loved it and cannot wait to go back to read the other books in this series.

Luke (The McKades of Texas #3) By Kimberly Lewis Rated 5 stars!!
OMG!!! I floved this story! I was drawn in from the beginning and dang if I could hardly put this one down! So glad I have the kindle app on my phone. I was able to keep reading while out and about. Phew! Crisis averted! Usually I am a fan of the male lead. In this story Karlie is my favorite. She is strong, sassy and confident. She knows what she wants and goes after it. Now saying that I will also say that Luke and Karlie together are adorable..like off the charts adorable!! Their back and forth is one of my favorite things they do. Oh and maybe how she twists him up and he does things for her he has never done before. So sweet!
Karlie is in a tough spot. Trying to change a mans mind about her or actually see her as she is..not as a little girl from his youth. That is why this is so good! She is so confident as she pulls different stunts on him saying…I’m a woman…see ME!! My personal enjoyment started near the beginning when Luke and Karlie meet up at the restaurant. Priceless! I loved being inside his head! It only get better from there!!
Secondary characters are all around in this book. Most are from the previous two stories ( which I have not read). They all add cute little elements to the story! The bantering between the girls is so cute! Many times is feel myself sitting here smiling while reading. The brothers enjoy doing all things to each other (ribbing, joking and sugaring up the young ones) that siblings have for eons. The parents and other family members make them see what is important in life and what isn’t.
I was sooo excited to see the on audio!! It is just as I imagined it would be and again I find myself smiling as I’m listening. It just puts me in a happy mood. It really makes time at the gym go a little faster when listening to something so good. Tiffany Williams does a wonderful job narrating. I have listened to her before and she is enjoyable. She was a good choice
This is my first story in this series and by this author. I loved both the story and the characters in here! If the other two are written along the same lines. I will gobble them up as well. This one will be placed on my reread book shelf. If you are reading this far and have made a decision yet? I highly recommend this if you want to fun in your romances. Very enjoyable and well done!

I have previously read and reviewed LUKE in print. Let me tell you – actually HEARING it is a whole different experience. Because I’m a fast reader, I tend to skim over more detailed portions of stories. While listening to it, I was able to hear every word written (spoken). While at times the writing was overly detailed, I understand why it is written the way it is. I did speed up the voice a bit so the very detailed passages were ok to listen to.
The narrator did a fantastic job. Voice inflections and accents made it listening a pleasure. I also found the narrator’s voice to be very soothing, almost meditative.
I would recommend reading and listening to this book.
