Almost a year after waking to find himself in twentieth-century New York, fifth-century Celt Ciarán Donnelly has finally returned to his childhood home, but Ireland is nothing like he remembers it. The realization is overwhelming and taking a toll on his relationship with archaeologist Caitlin O’Connell as well. Keeping his secret from her has been no easy task. Due to some quick thinking on the part of her Uncle Mike, however, Ciarán has managed to conceal the fact that he and the Celt that mysteriously disappeared from a local museum the previous year are one in the same.
Ciarán intends on keeping it that way, at least for the time being. Right now, there is another more pressing issue. He longs to locate the grave of his fifth-century wife. Her only crime was daring to love him, a guardian of the goddess, and for that he can never forgive himself. Even more urgent, he needs to figure out a way to wake his brother, Aodhán, and free him from the Dublin museum, where he continues to exist in the same centuries’ long sleep Ciarán had. At least, Ciarán hopes he does.
Of course, things never go according to plan. When a serial killer starts stalking the countryside, Ciarán may be the only one who can stop him. To do so, however, he’ll need to risk his own life, as well as that of his brother, thus revealing his secret and exposing the truth. But can he even defeat such a ruthless monster? Only the Book of Carraig hold the answer, but first, Ciarán needs to find it.

A compelling gothic fairytale by bruja and award-winning writer Maria DeBlassie. The women of Sueño, New Mexico don’t know how to live a life without sorrows. That’s La Llorona’s doing. She roams the waterways looking for the next generation of girls to baptize, filling them with more tears than any woman should have to hold. And there’s not much they can do about the Weeping Woman except to avoid walking along the riverbank at night and to try to keep their sadness in check. That’s what attracts her to them: the pain and heartache that gets passed down from one generation of women to the next. Mercy knows this, probably better than anyone. She lost her best friend to La Llorona and almost found a watery grave herself. But she survived. Only she didn’t come back quite right and she knows La Llorona won’t be satisfied until she drags the one soul that got away back to the bottom of the river. In a battle for her life, Mercy fights to break the chains of generational trauma and reclaim her soul free from ancestral hauntings by turning to the only things that she knows can save her: plant medicine, pulp books, and the promise of a love so strong not even La Llorona can stop it from happening. What unfolds is a stunning tale of one woman’s journey into magic, healing, and rebirth. CW: assault, domestic violence, racism, colorism

When Cady Fox leaves dinner with the senior attorneys at her law firm one spring night, the only thing on her mind is: Will they make her a partnership offer the next morning? What she doesn’t expect is to be accosted on her bike ride home in an inner-city park by a man whose nefarious intent requires her to shoot him to death on a deserted basketball court at 11 p.m.
Growing up poor in Appalachia, Cady had few expectations that she would be a success in Big Law. Now, on the cusp of her greatest moment, she becomes the focus of a police investigator tired of people claiming white privilege when killing Black men and a public outcry for justice for the dead man.
For Cady Fox, her world cracked open long before she found herself face to muzzle with a .45 on the concrete jungle of a desolate urban basketball court at an hour before midnight one spring night. The line between stand your ground and murder always blurs in the moment of a confrontation. Cady is forced to navigate the criminal justice system and the societal tensions that come with that blur, learning how the past eats your soul when your only choices are to run or stand your ground.
I’m a midwestern nurse practitioner and lawyer who writes in my spare time. Following a bout with a pesky brain tumor, I changed careers and, realizing how tenuous all our grips on life are, including my own, I decided to start writing. I had so many stories to tell! Who knew how long I would have to get them out? I have one Indie published novel to my credit, Drifting, Falling — Diary Of A Call Girl Suicide. My occupations have afforded me the opportunity to work with people with mental health disorders. Those experiences shape the themes that I explore in novel writing. We are all damaged, as one of my characters says, with a dead-on smack of truth I have two rescue dogs, one of whose name is Ruger, like the firearms manufacturer. Not a name I would have given him, but no sense changing his name at age three. However, he inspired me to name Cady’s dog Beretta, which fits in very well with the story line of Stand Your Ground, my next novel that just debuted in August.

Linda Burson, a native of Pennsylvania, but long time Connecticut resident, has been writing ever since she was given a writing assignment in school, at the age of eight. Later, as a teenager, she started out writing memoirs and attempted several nonfiction pieces.
After attending college studying English, Psychology, and Business Law, Linda worked in positions where she wrote and edited papers for others. She spent time pursuing other interests and traveling. Much of Linda’s free time was spent reading mysteries, romance, and women’s contemporary fiction novels.
After several attempts at writing nonfiction, but having life get in the way, she put her passion on hold again. She gave up writing to focus on raising her daughters, being a wife, running her own businesses and taking care of her dog, a Lhasa Apso named Nathan.
After a serious bout of breast cancer, Linda eventually closed her business after fifteen years. She decided it was time to attempt writing again. This time, however, with nothing to distract her, she decided on tackling fiction, a contemporary, commercial romance with a dark edge.
On January 1, 2013, she sat down with her laptop and started writing the first chapter. After a few more chapters, she realized the story wasn’t near complete. Before she was aware of it, her idea of a single book turned into a trilogy, which turned into a much longer series called the MARCY SERIES. There are a total of thirteen books in the series.
When asked about inspiration, Linda has this to say: “Nobody really inspired me to write, but I do remember my mother and father always saying ‘anything you put your mind to you can accomplish. Don’t ever let anyone tell you, you can’t do something.’ Having the support and encouragement of my family is also important.”
Linda has also published a standalone murder mystery novel entitled, Murder Among Friends, a romantic suspense novel called, The Colors of my Life, and a short story as a part of a five-story anthology with other authors called Where There’s Murder, There’s Mystery. Her story is entitled, Lies Aren’t Forever. Another Romantic suspense called The Kidnapping is due out in August 2021.

Jayne intends to stay out of it, but when it becomes obvious the sheriff isn’t interested in investigating the death, Jayne can’t stop herself. My love of romance books began in my early teens when I would steal my mother’s Harlequin Presents and read them under the covers after bedtime.

A friend once told me that the world needs psychopaths, but I’m not sold that the world needed my father. I only know that I did.
Poppy Pratt was a teenager when she watched her father murder her boyfriend. Only a child when she made the call that would put her dad away for the rest of his life. She watched the sheriff lead him off, her father still laughing at the Alabama moon, his arms slick with Shawn’s blood.
Eighteen years later, Poppy is a chiropractor with a thriving practice and a house in the Vermont suburbs. She even goes on the occasional date. So, when a mysterious stranger shows up at her house claiming that her father is stalking him, Poppy blows him off. Her dad is in prison—psychopath or not, he’s no threat. And though this man is writing a book about her dad, she can see no reason for anyone to go after him.
But then Poppy receives an unmarked package, and her carefully constructed world begins to crumble. A severed ear would throw most anyone off their game. The stranger was right—it might not be her dad, but someone is watching, and they’re after Poppy, too. Could it be an angry family member of one of her father’s victims? An obsessed serial killer fan? But even when Poppy’s new author friend is viciously attacked, she can’t call the police. Shawn wasn’t her father’s only victim, and her stalker clearly knows enough to implicate her in her father’s crimes.
It seems she’s destined to go down the same way her father did—with her hands covered in blood. The only question is whether she’ll be the one holding the knife.

I’ve never seen anyone like Drew in a science lab. He’s made me a firm believer in chemistry existing outside a textbook. Until his ego shows up. Nope – No thank you. Moving on. I mean… who has an entourage in college?
When our professor announces we’ll be stuck as lab partners, I nearly lose my mind – I’m certain my dreams of becoming a doctor will go up in smoke with a distraction like him around.
Drew
I don’t date during the season.
The number of trolls who venture into the arena simply to chase jerseys is unbelievable.
In fact, I typically distance myself from the social side of being a college athlete because I have my eye on something bigger than our next D-1 championship.
I’ve taken painstaking measures to avoid distractions – at all costs.
This plan has worked perfectly until Abby shows up at my door.
Gone is the plain studious girl I left in lab the day before.
Left in her place is the intriguing woman I want to know better.
Here I thought she wouldn’t be a distraction – yeah right…
I am so screwed.
Abby’s gorgeous and there’s nothing plain about her.
I am this close to having it all. If I let Abby in, will my perfectly laid out plans disappear?
