I really enjoyed this book. It had a little of everything, love, betrayal, attempted murder, and an ending that will have you saying “ oh come on” . I now can not wait to read the next book and see how things end up for Link and Ommily.
Link has been the only Fae for a very long time until Ommily walks into the Soppranaturale hotel. He believes she has no idea she is a Fae and he has a very dramatic reaction to her.
Ommily is at the hotel with her fiance and was drawn to it from the rumours about it. She ends up finding more than she ever could have imagined.

The cover of this book was honestly the first thing that drew me in. I have always loved all things supernatural, other than vampires and werewolves; fairies have always been my number one. Once reading the synopsis the author had me hooked and I had to read The Gauntlet and discover the mysteries within its pages. From page one we are in Links perspective as he sees Ommily for the first time entering The Soppranaturale Hotel. Drawn to her he cannot help the spark that ignites within them when their eyes meet for the first time, but there is one major obstacle, she is there with her human fiancé. Link believed that he was the last of the Fae, having searched the world repeatedly and finding nothing to give him hope of finding another like himself. Kyran the owner of the Hotel and vampire sensed the new Fae the moment she entered and was at Link’s side moments later to help. In disbelief Kyran informs Link that they are one in the same that she is a Fae making them the last two in the world. He is told that his soul mate has showed up on his doorstep and yet all he can think about is how she is someone else’s. Within hours of meeting, it is confirmed that she knows that she has powers and that she has perfected them and can use them as easily as breathing. When they are near each other they both feel stronger and more powerful, each reaching new depths to their powers that they hadn’t reached before. They are one another’s perfect opposite. Male Fae is the defensive side, they deflect attacks and are a shield. Female Fae is the offensive side, they can attack their enemies and manipulate the elements. Legends say that fairies or born in twos for this reason they each have their one spark that makes them an unstoppable force when together. They are both artist her preferring to draw while he prefers to paint. Link shows Ommily the grounds of the hotel, the gallery and tells her about the gauntlet, a place for the supernatural to practice their abilities without fear of humans seeing them. Everything within them tells them they belong together. Her engagement is painful not only for Link to witness them be together but for Ommily that must hide everything about herself while also submitting to Preston’s overbearing and controlling ways. This book was a perfect mixture of adventure, mystery, and curiosity on what would happen next. The author’s world is truly magical while also being normal to the humans that surround it. I cannot wait to read book two The Guard and see where Link and Ommily’s story will take them next.

This is the first book I have read from this author and now I’m hooked. This is the second book of the divine devils series. This book can be read as a stand alone but some of the parts of the book you could get lost if you don’t read the first book. I’m going to read the first book and then reread this book. This story captured my interest right from the start because of the characters. I could not put this book down so I read it all the way through. I can’t wait to see what this author will write about next.

This is the first time I’ve read anything by Luna Saint Claire but was not disappointed. Personally, I felt this story started off a little slowly and introduced many names into the mix (almost to the point of confusion), but leveled off fairly quickly. Right off the bat, I wanted to hate Nico; he seemed selfish, abusive, and narcissistic. But, the continued story gave me an inside look into Nico’s past that allowed me to better understand the circumstances that made Nico the way he is. I don’t think his past can excuse the way he treated people, but it does help understand him a little better. Luna Saint Claire creates such a vivid, expressive story that I felt like I was right there in the middle of Nico’s travels. The characters are diverse, realistic, and very well-written. Overall, The Serpent Awakens is a wonderfully written book that delves into a person’s spiritual and personal awakening.

I have read several books by this author including this entire series and she has yet to disappoint me. I loved everything about each one of these couples for all sorts of different reasons.
You get a little or in some cases a lot of everything that makes an action romance so amazing. Each couple is the focus in their book even the first where we are meeting this group.
Savage Secrets: Marco & Elena like most of the couples have known each other most of if not all of their lives. But of course nothing is normal in for them. So much happens and secrets are revealed
Ruthless Heir: Luc & Summer were a bonus book in my opinion. Luc had no idea the family blood lines led to Chicago and the families who run the city. What started as a one night stand is so much more. More secrets are revealed.
Collateral Damage: Trey is the handsome Dr who doesn’t want to get closer to anyone since the loss of a girlfriend. As you should know by now that isn’t going to stick.
Rivals: Nico is the bridge between two families once he finds his one. It’s never as easy as it seems but wow was this a great read.
The biggest lesson learned after reading this series is you do not want to anger a Mafia Princess or the men who love them in any way, shape or form.

I do think in order to be fully emerged into this world, you will need to have read books 1-4 to completely understand what’s going on. However, I did enjoy reading this book! This is a great mystery with wholesome romance and happily ever afters. It keeps you guessing until the very end. I love how it shows the characters growth. The author makes the characters so relatable. It feels like they could be someone you’ve known your whole life. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.

And…when these two really start talking…will they be able to overcome the obstacles that prevented their marriage from working out the first time around?
I enjoyed both Ava and Cole’s characters. After what they have been through, I can see how pulling away from each other was a way to heal…but a lot was left unsaid and unaddressed in those six months. When six months of held-in frustrations and grief come to the surface, they are forced to deal with those feelings before they can even think about moving forward. They were going through marital issues that a lot of couples face and it made it feel that more real. I read the whole story in one sitting and enjoyed it.

Tam Paradiso is a woman on a mission and she will stop at nothing until she sees it through to the end, there is only one complication, it involves time travel and that is something she is not familiar with, hunting monsters and aiding supernatural beings, yes, but time travel no, but hey, there is a first time for everything. Meanwhile, Christopher Marlowe is being delivered to the White Tower in London in 1593 after being summoned there from a visit to a friend, he has no idea who is behind taking him there, but he understands what he is being charged with, all he knows is that he must get word to Tam so that she doesn’t try anything reckless to help free him.
You may ask what has spurred this new challenge in Tam’s life and that is the change in the details of the death of her lover Christopher Marlowe, a fellow monster hunter and the love of her life, so with the help of friends and family, she prepares for a journey like no other to correct the timeline and stop the drastic changes it is causing. As she ties up the loose ends in her other occupation as a Detective in modern day New York to take some vacation days, she has to bring allies into the fold, only some of which know the whole story, but she cannot risk anything more than she already is by telling them where she is really going. However, as usual things do not go smoothly and Tam’s sister Isabelle plays a key role in the journey, as does her ex-lover Theo North who has to accompany her in order for the two of them not to stick out any more than they know they will.
When they arrive in Marlowe’s time, the try and work out who is behind the accusations and so start to dig into the backgrounds of any clues Marlowe has left them, but the further they dig, he more tangled a web they find and time is running out for them all, especially when they have to battle a key witness of Marlowe’s death who also happens to be a shifter, but will they solve their puzzle and get Marlowe out in time, just so he can die the death he was supposed to? This is an adventure which is full of political intrigue, time travel and the supernatural, in this race against time which will have you on the edge of your seat throughout.

Savage Secrets is the 4th book of the series, I have read all the books in this series so far and have nothing but praise for them. In this book we finally meet the elusive Elena, who has been presumed dead for a number of years. When the threat that made her leave initially finds out that she is still alive, boss Marco is sent to retrieve her. When reunited the pair get to know each other again, without a pesky arranged marriage in the way. I really like how strong the female characters are in this series, Elena especially has her own very valuable skill set that she can use to protect those she loves.
Ruthless Heir – I think this was one of my favourites in the series so far. Each book in the series follows a member of one of the main 5 Chicago Mafia families and the nice difference in this book is that Luc doesn’t know he is part of the elite, through the mother he never knew he is the rightful heir to one of the 5 families. A successful businessman in his own right, he is surprised when he is forced to go to Chicago to discover his true heritage, taking his reluctant assistant Summer along with him. Summer is on the run from her past and doesn’t want to get involved with anything to do with the mafia but finds protection in the strangest of situations. I really liked this book, there is lots of action, strong female characters and interesting storylines.
Collateral Damage – In this book Dr Trey La Rosa is tasked with finding the kidnapped stepdaughter of a colleague, but it is not as straight forward as it may seem at first. Trey and Hailey need to work together to find out her stepfathers true intentions. I liked this book but feel it was a bit short, I would have loved more!
Rivals – This book is the story of Nico and Mia. Mia, after escaping from the clutches of her twisted family tracks down Nico for help and in return she will give him the information that he needs to take down her family. I really enjoyed this book, I loved the dynamic between the two main characters but the main thing I really like is how the men in these stories treat the women as equals, fighting side by side rather than being left at home while the guys do all the fighting. The female characters really make this series for me. Cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

Mama Warbler is carefully protecting her egg when a cuckoo decides to lay an egg in her nest. Deciding to care for the egg, she is met with questions about her reasoning only to be praised when something unexpected happens.
Really well done for this book. The story talks about different types of birds as well as the elements the birds have to go to to protect their young.

This is book 2 in The Freemasons series. Even though it is part of a series these books can be read as a standalone which I love. Wow where to start with this story. This is definately a book for you if you like alpha males with an equally alpha female. The chemistry between them both literally flys off the page. This is an enemies to lover romance so it is full of secrets and lies but the attraction cannot be denied.
Dominic is part of the brotherhood of the Freemasons. He has vowed to protect the brotherhood from any dangers including their secrets being revealed. What he didn’t expect was danger to come in the form of a female. Now he must do everything he can to protect the brotherhood even if that means seducing and distracting the woman investigating them. But when did trying to seduce and distract turn into an attraction he can’t deny?
Gemma is a journalist, so when her father dies in strange circumstances she goes on the hunt to discover the reason behind his death. What she doesn’t expect is Dominic trying to get in the way of her finding out the truth. And as things between them become more serious what will happen if she ever really gets to the bottom of what happened to her father. I dived into this book, falling in love with the characters straight away, then realised that it’s not the first book in the series…oops. Thankfully, each book can be read as a standalone but now I want to read the stories of the 2 couples who came before, who have a large secondary role in this book. I hadn’t read any of this author’s work before so wasn’t sure what to expect. What I got was a great brother’s best friend romance that was filled with danger and drama too. Just what I needed to read on a wet weekend in Glasgow. I got totally lost in Raf and Ellie’s story. Raf has loved Ellie for years but she’s his best friend’s little sister – a no-go area. Added to the fact that he has a past that he’s ashamed of and things he’s not good enough for her. Meanwhile Ellie has loved Raf for years but assumes he just sees her like a little sister and not the grown-up woman that she is. This is an angst filled read that becomes spicy when the couple realise that they can’t hold back the feelings they have for each other. I really didn’t want to put this book down. 100% recommend.

Although this love story has a classic theme, there are several twists. The main characters are amazing, and the growth they show throughout the novel is phenomenal! The female protagonist learns to ask others for help, rather than always insisting on doing everything by herself or on her own. The male protagonist learns that he is worthy of love without having to do things for people. The pets are a great addition!

Wow The Victor is the first book in The Freemasons Series and is a second chance Contemporary Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. You may want to have tissues near by as this one will have your emotions all over the place. Some parts my heart hurt for both of them. This series is off to a great start and I look forward to reading the others soon. This is a short story that packs a punch right to your heart. These two both have secrets and he’s not even close to letting her go without a fight. Can these two survive the secrets and move on? Is it to late and she’s determined to move on without him? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author

This is a fantastic boxset, each book being given a 5 star review by myself. This author is the queen of writing romantic suspense and I could lose myself in these books for hours and hours on end. I know that this boxset is one that I will read several times.
Set among the 5 mafia families in Chicago, we get the stories of the men who lead each family and the women they fall in love with, most of whom also come from among the 5 families.
The men in the mafia elite are serious alpha males who take no crap and their women who are just as stubborn and kick-ass as they are. Marco & Elena, Luc & Summer, Trey & Hailey and Nico and Mia are amazing couples, whose stories are filled with so much drama, intrigue and danger. Added to that is the amazing romance story of each couple and you get a boxset that has absolutely everything.

Will he be successful? This was a book that started out with action and never let up the whole way through. If you like books that have twists and turns and will keep you turning the pages I suggest you give this a try. This was the first book inhave read by this author and I was not disappointed. If any of his other books are anything like this one he has gained a new fan.
What a unique book and a very interesting, new-to-me author! I was surprised to see how this book is set up to include the author’s notes. At first I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it but I’ve decided that I really loved it for this book. It’s great to get in the mind of the writer and see where they were going with something, or why they chose to write the scene the way they did. I really appreciate this unique angle.
Now about the book….wow!!! It grabs you from the first word and just doesn’t let go until it’s over! Dex is a regular ole car salesman, a family man. Regan, his wife is lovely and has her hands full with their two boys. They find themselves abducted and in a weird place, enduring all sorts of torture until they can escape. Or have they really escaped?
This ones got some pretty cool nuggets in it and I think they enhance the story even more. I look forward to reading more of this author’s work!

Defying Ella hit close to home in some ways. And I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not the musician and fame aspect but the relationship dynamic. I’ve had a similar dynamic with my husband at the beginning. If we were snowed in, in the Alps there would’ve been a similar situation between us early on. The author put together a well written relatable story. One where you feel you could be a part of. Ella and Jared are an adverse pair. They care for one another but would never admit it. They go toe to toe often. Everyone around them feels like they hate each other. They don’t know everything. They don’t know the history. Getting away from him is just what Ella needs. Unfortunately for her he shows up unexpectedly. They both unexpectedly booked the same time at the lodge. Well little did they know they would get stuck together unable to go anywhere. Forcing them to face the music. Will it all come out? Will they deal with what’s between them? The roller coaster between these two is crazy. And I absolutely love what the author has done. I love the story being told. I completely understand and sympathize with both characters’ feelings. I started with book 4, though part of a series is very much a standalone. I want more from this author. I’m now going to go back and read books 1-3, then this one again. Now is your chance to discover a new author or to continue what I can tell is a great series just by this book.

This was a quick, easy read. Ellie, the younger sister of Raf’s best friend, is in the midst of great loss but determined and kind and secretly crushing on Raf. Raf wrought with his own demons and feeling as though he brings bad luck to those around him, likes Ellie but is determined to stay away, but can he really?
I enjoyed the character and story development and the story stood on its own well. The author did a wonderful job creating tension within the story, keeping the reader turning the pages. I throughly enjoyed the entirety of this book and recommend it. I can’t wait to catch up on the rest of this series.

This is the first book I have read in the series, and I fell in love instantly. Beck is smart, crafty, and intuitive. She loves her family and her bookstore. She has recently become a private investigator and agrees to do some work for an old frenemy. The character development and mystery kept me enthralled throughout.

This book was so creative and smart! A story of single life and dating. How hard is it to find love? Exceptionally hard in a city of heartless souls. It makes you feel like “all he wanted you for was your body.” De Blassie is a genius, and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next.

Mama Warbler takes care of the baby cuckoo, treating it like she would her own. One day, when Mama Warbler is in danger, the baby cuckoo repays her kindness.
This story was beautifully written with scientific details, while still being fun and relatable. Kids are able to learn a valuable lesson on how to treat others with kindness and accept everyone, even if they are different. My kids loved the colorful illustrations in this story! The pictures brought the story to life and connected everything together! I can not wait to read more by this author.

Hate You Later is an enemies-to-lovers Rom-Com story by Ciara Blume. Georgia and Hudson clash in person but are strongly attracted to each other. However, when these two chat online as their pets they get along wonderfully. The story reminds me a bit of “You’ve Got Mail”. I really enjoyed this story. There is excellent chemistry between Georgia and Hudson. There are plenty of sweet moments as well as moments that have you laughing out loud. I loved the involvement of their pets in the story. This is a very good read and entertaining read.

7th daughter to a which family is apparently an unlucky number as Makayla finds out in her first year at Grave Digger Academy.
Grave Digger academy is a fun, well paced book about a magical school and the group that gets stuck in the grave digger academy. Makayla, Cali, Frankie and Leo are all stuck in the grave diggers academy which none of them wanted or expected. They feel like they aren’t learning magic and all they want to do is transfer to a different school.
During the school year they do find there helpers which all grave diggers need. And plenty of other exciting things happen as well. This book is a great start to what is definitely be an amazing series.
More exciting things happen during the school year, like Makayla discovering her great grandmother was a necromancer (an banned form of magic) and a battle with Mr. Woolly a teacher who wants her to join the dark side and become who she was always meant to be.

Gut wrenching and tears is a good way to describe this book but it’s also so very funny and full of love. There are plot twists at every turn and it’s just a great store. I love anise storms stories. Damian and Evie, at first I thought she was crazy, like stalker crazy but in the end I get it and it’s just what Damian needed. Damian so smart and sexy fell for Evie long ago but his current situation isn’t best for her. It’s a whirlwind of back and forth. Great read though!

No Spoilers here! This author is new to me and her book could be read as a standalone. However this one was so good that I must go get book 1 and 2 in this series. This author’s writing is so clear as well as fast paced. I love the characters and even more the strong independent Ellie. Definitely a must read.
