This was a quick and cute second chance romance novel. I recommend picking it up for a stroll down lover’s lane to a happy ending!

Kellie took her organizational skills and secured a position as a successful event planner in Las Vegas. The job comes with many surprises but one thing she wasn’t counting on was planning Harrison’s wedding. Can she keep it professional, or will their previous history be too much to overcome?
The story is a short read, but it flows so nicely. I enjoyed this sweet but still steamy book and look forward to what the rest of the series holds.

This book follows the love story of Kellie and Harrison. Kellie, now an event coordinator is informed that she will need to pull off a wedding in a short period of time and once she reads the file, she realizes that’s her ex’s wedding. Harrison, a black pro golfer is advice by his manager that he needs to make some changes to obtain more sponsors and ask him to marry Mila, a swimsuit model 10 years younger than him and also someone he has never met before. This novel has a pretty steady progress and will definitely keep you engaged. If you are looking for a feel good short novel this is definitely it. Please do yourself a favor and read this book. I will definitely be reading this book again.

This is a heartwarming and at times heartbreaking contemporary romance, with a love triangle and a second chance at love theme. Mavis Benson made a huge mistake when she had sex with her high school sweetheart’s twin brother, but she hadn’t expected to fall in love with him. Mavis definitely didn’t expect to then find herself with an unplanned pregnancy at seventeen either, but to save her boyfriend, Josh from the fallout she left town. All Josh Templeton received was a letter of apology, from Mavis, before she disappeared, however, she did confide her secret to Josh’s brother, Austin. When Austin comes back into her life years later, she can’t help but be confronted by her past. Not only does Josh want Mavis back, but so does Austin, and for Mavis she just feels caught between the two men. One of whom she ended up with a broken heart over and the other, who helped her pick up the pieces. One thing is certain though, and that, is that secrets always have a way of coming out. This was a page turner of a read, with some wonderfully detailed characters, and I felt completely immersed in their world and engaged with them. I felt for both Mavis, and Josh and Austin, and wanted them all to have a HEA. I’m looking forward to book two in this trilogy, and definitely recommend reading this first instalment.

Historical/inspirational story meets Michelle Naget and her translated story of fear and oppression in Ww2. Her easy carefree childhood is instantly destroyed at age 12 when nazis invade and take over her village and live in her home during ww2. This story takes you through what this family endured with their mantra of we do what we must at the core of their survival. I enjoyed I learned about each family member and not just Michelle.
This was heart wrenching and at the same time extremely informative. I feel like on some small level I can understand a tiny fraction of what the Naget family endured. This gripping story is a must read.

This is the second book in the A Kitty Beret Cafe Mystery series. If you love a suspenseful fun read that will keep you turning pages then this is definately a read for you. We are back with Ellie Warren, the owner of Kitty Beret Cafe and also the lady responsible for re homing and caring for several stray cats. After her last adventure dealing with murder Ellie just wants a quiet life. How hard can that be right?
When a lady she hasn’t seen before arrives with a cat and a dying wish from her mother the Ellie put on a cat show, despite all her reservations and doubts Ellie agrees. It’s only a cat show after all and if it helps the cats get re homed even better. What Ellie doesn’t count on is the dead body being found in the store room of the venue. Now with the help of her friend Simon and her trusted cat Templeton they need to find out who the murderer is and why they have decided to strike now. Is anyone else in danger or was there just something about the victim? This is a fun mystery to read and with the added bonus of very smart cats it gives it a nice twist.

I Loved You Yesterday: Book One in the Trading Heartbeats Trilogy by Julie Navickas I can’t say for sure how I really felt about this book but not in a bad way. It was great, I loved the concept. I can’t even fathom being in love with a twin let alone having a relationship with both! I had a hard time putting this down. Finished it quickly because I needed to know what happened. This definitely felt very realistic, or what I would envision reconnecting with someone you love(d) that deeply. Mavis left Josh ten years ago. She had a secret and didn’t want to ruin his dream but ended up ruining him anyway. It really bothered me that she left everyone like that. I do get it though. I think what bothered me was the fact that after she is reunited things seemed to move almost too fast. But I wouldn’t know how I’d feel if it were me. I NEED Austin’s book though. I truly feel like he deserves so much happiness. It’s tough being the loser in the triangle.

I adore historical romance and this one definitely did not disappoint. This is the first book by this author but I assure you it will not be that last! Lady Celia is looking for something she has yet to find, a man who will be all that she needs and wants and who will look past her secret that could ruin her. Gabriel Rose is a unique man in society. He is a bastard yet he is still accepted. He wants Celia even though he shouldn’t. When his life takes an abrupt turnaround, he is elevated to a marquess, he pursues her. The Aloha Series Box Set has three wonderful retro/historical romance stories. Each set in the beautiful tropical islands of Hawaii in the 1960’s. Jill’s vivid writing captures the beauty of the setting and actually makes you feel like you are there. These books are fun and quick and easy reads. I loved learning about Hawaiian customs, culture and way of life. It is a lifelong dream to go to Hawaii one day.
Try Easy is the first book in this box set and is Keoni and Lou’s story.
Keoni has it all going for him. He is a pro at surfing and it’s his life. He can sing and play guitar and did I mention he’s super sexy.
Lou is a Photographer and gets a trip of a lifetime to Hawaii. It’s here that she meets the charming and charismatic Keoni. But what of her long-term boyfriend back home?
Likable characters or not I don’t condone cheating so unfortunately it put a bit of a dampener on the story for me.
Try Me is the second book and is Pearl & Declan’s story.
Pearl knows what she wants and she wants to be just like her surfing royalty mother. Pretending to be Declan’s girlfriend was not one of them but the chemistry is there for all to see except them.
Declan is a surfing pro and finding it hard to return to the place he lost his best friend. Pretending to be in a relationship with an up-and-coming surfer is meant to be good for them both.
This story is full of emotions where there is guilt and heartbreak, loss and grief and lots of chemistry. It is about being the best at what you do, losing someone and finding that someone.
Try Right is the third book and is Claudia & Henry’s story. A sweet friend to lover’s romance set in the stunning background of Hawaii.
Claudia was once the most sought-after actress who is now only a bit part actress and looking for the one that got away. Trying to recapture a past may not be the thing you need.
Henry is a stuntman who was captured by the beauty to turns up for filming and for better or worse he decides to help her. What starts as friendship has the potential for so much more.
With some angst, a little drama, and lots of chemistry, this tale will delight the reader.
Ruth Hartman has combined her love of cats and writing to give us another unique story in A Kitty Beret Café Mystery series.
This is just the book to take a few hours out of your day to curl up with a glass of wine and some lovely outdoor me time.
Ellie and her trusty sidekick her superbly dressed cat Templeton once again find themselves unwittingly right in the middle of a murder. Who would have thought a cat show could be deadly? As the Detectives investigate the super sleuth cat and Ellie are right there with them.
This entertaining adventure and quirky tale had me laughing out loud at the feline antics and imagining just what my animals would say in those moments.
This quirky cozy mystery is fun and has a few colourful characters. This feel-good story is original and full of banter and is a great escape.

Shhhhhhh…. Can you hear that? It’s the sizzle coming off the pages of this book! Hard Lover is the second book in the Houston After Dark series, and red hot read, by Deborah Garland. There isn’t anything that I have read by Ms. Garland that I haven’t loved… and this book is one of my favourites of hers! This HOT romantic suspense is a forced proximity, brother’s best friend story with plenty of chemistry, steamy encounters, drama, emotion, tension, revenge, hard choices, secrets, and so much more. I was instantly hooked, reading the entire book in one setting. I couldn’t get enough of all the delicious details- and found myself completely invested in the characters and the outcome of their story. What happens when a sexy exhibitionist is tasked with protecting his best friend’s little sister? Lots of snap, crackle, and pop- that’s what. This story was written very well, and was very cute. I’ll be reading this to my daughter when she gets a little bit older!

This was a great read! This book had a great storyline, great characters, some very steamy scenes, and was also very well written. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I wasn’t disappointed. As far as I can gather, this is part of a series, but I honestly couldn’t tell. So this can be read as a standalone. There were a few mentions of past characters and a few past events, but not enough to take away from the story. This book gave me big Bridgerton vibes so if you like that you should definitely check this book out! You won’t be disappointed!

Could. Not. Put. This. Down. The first page drew me in quickly and did not let me go until the last. Angie went through something horrific that left her traumatized and trapped in her mind. She enlists the help of Jake and his dog, Cody, who she thinks may be just what they need.
This story was suspenseful from start to finish! It is painted so rivetingly that I felt I was there, experiencing everything with the characters. My emotions went on a ride between hold your breath and hold the tissues! I love that you get to experience the story in the eyes of different characters, where you really get to connect with each one as the story progresses. Read this book, you will NOT be disappointed!

This can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the first one to get a feel for the characters and town. This is the second installment where Ellie Warren who runs the Kitty Beret Cafe has decided to host a rescued cats show at her cafe! She is so excited and knows that this will only help with the unwanted cat population. Seeing all these cute felines she has not doubt people will be in line to adopt them. Everything is going great until one of the judges is murdered. Knowing this could ruin everything Ellie and her cat Templeton are on the case along with Detective Dare and the grumpy Detective Lingstrome. Michelle Naget was 12 years old when the German Soldiers arrived in her town. Her life after that was never as carefree as it was when she was growing up. The author did a wonderful job describing what the Naget family went through as the war was coming closer to their town and the change to their lives once the Nazis arrived. The book was a reminder of how many countries were affected by WWII and how many lived through the terrible experiences forced upon them. The book made me think of a time in this world that we should always remember. Thank you Ms. Lewis for sharing this story based on the life of Michelle Naget with all of us.

Lindsay Murray has an inapt way to make her characters feel so believable that you can relate to them. Alice is such a brat but her how she talks and carries herself that a woman can see themselves in her. Her mental health is discussed in a way that everyone should talk about it. Alice is diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and it is discussed in a great way. Alice was in a previous relationship that was very abusive and wanted nothing serious. Reuben is a dom who losses his partner and he starts to look at like a little differently. Can these two come together and help each other or will they explode?

Never Is A Very Long Time is the first(Audio)book in The Perfect Date Series and my first book by this author. This is not at all what I was expecting, it was so much better than I thought it was going to be. This is a Contemporary Rom-Com that pulled me in from the beginning and I literally listened to the whole book in one sitting. I truly enjoyed listening to this fast paced story and the narrator did a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life and keeping your attention. This is a story about Mariah and John, she us newly divorced from Dan who is a cop (detective) who is determined to ruin her and her new dating(match making business. She used to have a show on the radio but gave it up to start a new adventure. Her ex is a real piece of work and I wanted to punch him a couple of times, he’s not a nice person. Then there’s John he works with her ex and you can tell he doesn’t much care for Dan.. She vowed not to date but what will happen when the match maker meets her own match? These are sweet together and there’s definitely attraction between them. Will she give into the attraction and give John a chance? I highly recommend listening to this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to many more books by this author.

This story was lovely and extremely enjoyable. From the moment you pick it up, you are just engulfed in the story. I sympathize with Kellie and Harrison’s story and how the impact of first love can affect you. I love Kellie’s tenacity and determination to pick herself up when all she wanted to do was fall apart. However, when Harrison shows back up all her hard work is jeopardized. Even though this book is short in length you get a fully developed and gratifying story of Harrison and Kellie’s tale. I would definitely call it a modern version of Persuasion! Pick it up and read it! I look forward to reading more from this author!

I was so excited to delve back into this story and these characters after reading this first book. This one definitely lives up to my expectations and is easily better than the first. It was jam packed full of exciting storylines and brilliant characters. It is one of those books I struggled to put down, even if it were 3am! I thought the plot development in this book was even better than the first, pushing it into the next level for me. the author pieces together everything so well and it is such an enjoyable read. I would highly recommend this series and I cannot wait for what comes next.

This series is one of those that just gets better with each book and I can never wait to start the next. I was pulled straight into this book with ease and became engrossed by the story I was reading. The characters are what this book is all about, their connection and their journey. I was completely pulled into their journey and wanted to see what the author was going to do with them. The book was well written, just as I have come to expect from this author. It had a pace to it that matched the story and the characters, taking you, as the reader, along with them. I was engaged with the storyline and enjoyed what the author did with it. This was a fantastic book to an already amazing series and I can’t wait for whatever else is to come.

Cady Fox goes out to dinner with the head attorneys where she works. Afterwards she does her regular activity of riding her bike home. But tonight she is attacked by a man known for his unlawful activities. Forcing her to shoot and kill him. That’s all you get from me. No Spoilers. This author writes clearly and is very descriptive in his definition of how his book reads. This is a thrilling Audio book loaded with action and so easy to get caught up in. The characters are just right for their part in the story. They are also likable. While this story throws out many things that are going on in our lives today, Black Lives Matter and White Privilege just to name a couple. He sticks to his main goal. Tell the story and make it clear. I enjoyed listening to this story and how it played out. I know you will too.
Oh my, my favorite cat series is back. The Kitty Beret Café Mystery series is fantastic. Both humorous, funny, mysterious and full of cat antics that make the books so darn entertaining. This book was just as entertaining as the previous. There are cat antics at the cafe; grandma; a rescue cat cat pageant with a little murder on the side and some sexy detective flirting. The characters are just as quirky as can be. They make me of the town I grew up in. They are so relatable and remind me of some people I know. The plot line runs smooth even with some plot twists in it. I love the humor and cat antics. The whole idea of a cat café is so cool and unique. The tone is fun, engaging and just right for a cozy mystery. This is a series that you should try out.

When I started this book, I had no idea it’s a true story! It’s not my typical genre of book but I’m so glad that I took a shot at this. What a remarkable book! It’s about Michelle Naget and what her family went through while living in France during WWII. The feelings that were brought out while reading this…out of this world. I couldn’t imagine going through what they went through. And no matter what happened, she continued to have faith! The one thing no one could take away. Having a home with your family just to have nazis invading it all?! It’s chaotic and extremely heartbreaking. Knowing that this is a true book makes me love it even more though. It’s a remarkable/heartwarming read but also devastating as hell. The author did really well with this and I’m impressed. I never took myself as someone who enjoys these kinds of reads and I’m not disappointed at all, that I took a chance on it. I’ll be recommending this to my friends!

This was a beautifully written book! I really enjoyed traversing the journey Addie and Wesley are on with them. Their chemistry was so realistic as they fought their own demons to find their happiness in each other. Their shared history was stunningly written and I adored the alternating points of view that fabulously illustrated each of their sides of the story. I’m a sucker for a happily ever after, but I also really like reading stories with a little basis in reality. This story has both, with realistic events and reactions and the happily ever after, I absolutely recommend it to anyone who likes stories with a touch of reality and a happy ending!
