Even though there were books that came before these (The Hawthorne Chronicles) I felt like I could understand everthing that was going on. Exhilarating storylines and amazing characters. I’m definitely going to be reading more by this author and plan to read the books before these so I can re-go over these books.

All I can say about this book is you better be prepared for emotions to be high! While I have read all of the other stories in this series this one by far overshadows the rest. Full of secrets, emotions, and crazy twists and turns, put author definitely knows how to keep their readers on the edge of their seats. While it is not completely necessary to read the previous three books in this series, I would recommend it just to get all the back stories to our wonderful characters. So if your looking for a great new story to read this week, make sure you pick up this one today!

This is a great story and a strong start to a new series. For me this book was entirely about the characters. They has a strong connection right from the word go and it continued throughout the whole story.
This is a new author to me so I was excited to see what the story wojkd hold. It is quite a short book so didn’t take too long to read. It was fast paced and enjoyable. The bolm was well written and I really liked how the author developed the characters. I thought this was a good start to a new series and I am looking forward to Book 2.

Claiming My Mate was definitely my kind of book. I loved how Lily’s character developed in this story. My only complaint is major things happen so quickly that I was left feeling a bit dizzy. I think had the author spent just a little more time explaining what was going on and just slowed it down a tad, it would have been better. It seemed like I was missing part of the story by starting with book 2. I’m absolutely going to look for a book two however, because I’m looking forward to reading more from Nicole Howl.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book about friends Trezzie, Maia and Fig who share their ideas with one another on how to make things like a rainbow with only a piece of paper, a mirror, and a glass of water. This book was full of super cool ideas and teaches science in a way that is both fun and creative. It was easy to read while also being informative and contains beautiful illustrations throughout the book that make reading entertaining. I cannot wait to read it again and again with my young nieces and try out some of the science experiments in the book. I highly recommend this book!

Keeping Secrets (Grimm Wolves MC Book 4) by D.M. Earl

Keeping Secrets is the fourth book in the Grimm Wolves MC Series. I absolutely loved reading this fast paced Romance/MC Romance that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. I swear I was on the edge of my seat from the first page. I’m a huge fan of MC Romance and this book checked all the boxes. I highly recommend reading this series in order as it will help give you a better idea of what each character brings to the MC, plus who doesn’t love a good series? I loved everything about this book, the characters are fun, relatable and pretty easy to fall in love with. The authors style of writing grabs you from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. The only negative thing is I want more, more, more. This story has it all from action to drama, secrets, lies and little romance. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I will say parts had my emotions all over the place. If you’re a fan of MC then this is definitely one for you. You won’t be disappointed I know I sure wasn’t. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Ruthless Heir (Mafia Elite Book 5) by Amy McKinley – Review by Wendy Wary

Ruthless Heir: An Enemies to Lovers Mafia Romance (Mafia Elite, #5)Ruthless Heir: An Enemies to Lovers Mafia Romance by Amy McKinley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I liked how this book started off in a different direction than previous books in the series.

Summer takes a temp job in California after escaping a near-death experience in Georgia. Finding out that her best friend didn’t make it out of the clutch of a New York mobster had Summer acting out of character and hooking up with a hot guy she met at a bar for a one-night stand. Waking up in his posh hotel room, and running late to work, she rushes in to the office only to find out the guy she spent the night with is her new boss. Thanks to her old boss throwing shade her way as he was escorted out, Summer finds that Luc, her one-night stand, now thinks she’s a spy who has worked with his enemies to steal his money.

When a Chicago mob boss shows up at the office and corners Luc while he’s still interrogating Summer, Luc brings her along to meet up with the five families in Chicago until he can figure out how she’s connected to his bank accounts being drained. Meanwhile, Summer fears her escape from Georgia may not have been as seamless as she thought, and she might actually be the reason for the Chicago mafia showing up. Hiding her own secrets, and trying to convince Luc she has nothing to do with his disappearing funds proves to be a challenge as both Luc and Summer get caught up in mafia business in Chicago.

Once again, the characters in this series make it hard not to fall in love with the families who run organized crime in Chicago. It’s a brutal life full of danger, and yet, the bonds with the friends and family in the crime syndicate are strong, loving, and protective. This book delivers, as the previous stories in the series have, on drama, intrigue, mystery, and romance.

The Hunted (Vampire Navy SEAL: Sam & Layla) by S.B. Alexander – Review by Megan Conley

The Hunted (Vampire Navy SEAL: Sam & Layla, #1)The Hunted by S.B. Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book does NOT disappoint! From the smexy tension between Sam and Layla to the bond the Aberdeen sisters share to the supernatural aspect of the novel, S.B. Alexander keeps her readers on edge. With her well thought-out plot lines, character development, and descriptions, Alexander has her readers turning pages faster than vampire falls for vampire huntress. I absolutely love how Sam and Layla’s relationship develops over the course of this book, but it’s not overpowering. Alexander has put multiple plot lines in place and she does an excellent job of developing each at a pace that seems very appropriate. The spicy scenes are *chef’s kiss* amazing. They aren’t over-the-top nor are there too many or too few.

This is Sam & Layla Book #1 in the series and it does end on a cliffhanger. I cannot wait for Sam & Layla Book #2 to be released! It has made its way to the top of my TBR list! If you like romance, paranormal/supernatural, or are just looking for something different to read; definitely pick this book up and give it a shot…You won’t be disappointed!

Seductively Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 3) by Anise Storm – Review by ASHLEY LAPE

Seductively Yours (Titans Of Manhattan, #3)Seductively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the third book in the Titans series. I am totally invested in this series. I love how each book is intertwined with the next. The author’s attention to detail when it comes to connecting each book, yet each book centers on a different member of the Titan click. This is what keeps me coming back for the next book. I will say that this book, I felt, did concentrate more on the build-up to the relationship than the actual relationship. This was the steamiest and hottest of the books.
Rhyann is a strong woman who is following her dream of dancing professionally. She leaves her slower pace life in Kanase for the busy streets of Manhatten where she will be enrolled in one of the best dance schools. Rhyann is in for a hard awakening when she realizes she can afford her dream unless she starts making money. The one night she decides to step out of her comfort zone and let lose will be the night that changes her life forever. Some good and some not so good will come from that night. The owner of a few adult nightclubs in various states, Mason makes the rule to never get involved with one of his dancers. He could have any female and has had his share of hookups but the one night he walks into Vault he has no clue who that gorgeous female is that is hanging out with Allie Porter. He’s never seen her before. Little did Mason know that was going to be the night his world would be flipped upside down.
Great book, love the author and can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Shamrock & Clover: Fields Apart by C.A. King

This was my first book that I have read by this author and it did not disappoint.

This book has a lot of emotions tied into it, and a beautiful love story.
It starts out in Clover’s POV one of the main characters; her friends see her as a silent suffer alone type, but she really is just trying to help the only family member she has left, she spends every last dime she has to give her beloved grandmother the treatment she needs.

Her grandmother had given her the name Clover and told her the first leaf stands for hope, second leaf stands for faith, third leaf stands for love and all she needed was to find a four leaf clover, fourth leaf stands for love.

Clover wanted nothing more than to find this four leaf clover her grandmother had been talking about since she was a little girl and gift it to her, because she knew that would mean more to her grandmother than a 100 roses or carnations. Relentlessly searching and late a night Clover was running out of luck and time… Then unexpectedly she meets Shamrock.

This story has a couple plot twists, three POV’s and such a cute ending. The author did an amazing job writing this book, I couldn’t help but fall in love with both Clover and Shamrock and ended up reading the whole book in one day.

She was just an overall great character and I loved her in this story.

Shamrock & Clover is a sweet, romantic novella that just had me smiling. Shamrock, aka Patrick, is no saint when it comes to love. He is a ladies man, but one that the ladies don’t want forever. Clover is a sweet girl who is down on her luck and looking for love. When she hits a low and meets Shamrock while looking for a four leaf clover, her luck begins to change, both in life and love. This is a very fast read and one I recommend when you need to put a smile on your face. I loved the connection between the two main characters.

My Valentine's Day Cookie Match: Welcome to Cupids CoveMy Valentine’s Day Cookie Match: Welcome to Cupids Cove by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is a very cute, romance novel. Set in the Idyllic town of Cupid’s Cove where the residents thrive off all things love. The characters are pretty typical with a new spin on finding love.

Graham is a successful marketing executive just looking for a change of pace and new way of life. Deciding to open his own business which is a coffee shop/bakery, and launching a new app that offers users the option to get paired based on their taste buds. Essentially what they order, and it seems everyone is not only fond of this new dating idea through Cookie Match but Graham is now the most eligible bachelor in Cupid’s Cove. Enter Lara , who is not only the mayor’s daughter but also runs the only other bakery in town. When their paths cross, sparks ignite, but there is one big secret Lara is keeping from Graham. When the secrets are exposed and the two have to deal with figures from their past will this make or break what they have started? Is a match truly in the cards for Lara and Graham or will the mayor veto it all?

This book has an interesting plot, though it can get a little confusing bouncing back and forth between the radio hosts and the recipes that are thrown into this book. I however, am excited to give the recipes a whirl to not only see if they are legit but how they taste. I will read the other books in the series if only to see what happens in Cupid’s Cove, a charming little town I almost want to live in!

This book has some very unexpected twists and turns and the ending absolutely took my breath away and made me tear up. Keeping Secrets- Prospect is the fourth book in the Grimm Wolves MC series by D.M Earl. As the title would suggest, this story is full of secrets, which comes with twists, tension, and plenty of emotion. This story ups the intensity level to an all-time high- and kept me flipping the pages to keep up with all the developments.
As well as a new story, we also get to reunite with the characters we’ve come to know and love from the previous books, so it would probably be a good idea to have read those previous books before embarking on this journey.
If you love intriguing MC romance with an original spin- emotion, drama, brotherhood, family bonds, intensity, and banter- then this is definitely the story/series for you.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, D.M. Earl!

This was an interesting read! It wasn’t my type of book though. While I like some thrillers, it’s not my favorite genre. But the synopsis sounded so good I wanted to give it a try! And while I did enjoy it, it just didn’t capture and hold me like I was hoping it would. It had a very intriguing plot, and this is honestly the first book I’ve read since 2020 that has even mentioned the pandemic, so that was a big attention grabber to me.
