This is a new series for me, I haven’t read the first three yet but if they are anything like Phillip and Anna’s story I can’t wait to read them. I really loved reading about Phillip and Anna, they are so good together. There is just enough steamy to go with all the sassiness from Anna. It pulled me in and I could not put it down. I had to keep reading which makes me want more. Cannot wait to read the previous books.

Such a good ending to an enjoyable trilogy. Cat loves baking, but things change after a surprise dinner with family. Nate is family but Cat cannot stand him. Luckily Eliza has help from her fun loving cousin, her adorably crazy great aunt and a hunky new love interest. Will she be able to solve the mysteries while keeping herself safe?
I want to start by saying this novel was adorable. Cozy mysteries are a new found genre for me that I have become smitten with. Although at times I felt this book steered away from cozy mystery and into YA romance, it was still an enjoyable read. I loved the banter between the characters and look forward to seeing how the series continues.
Grab some tea and biscuits and curl up with this adorable, quick read that may have you giggling and smiling along with Eliza.

You quickly discover Clayton, not Clay, is one of those guys who is trying to fix his past by changing his current self. You learn that as an ex-cop he made some mistakes and is trying to get back to his cop life and his family that he lost. He didn’t come from the best parenting but wants to do better.
Then you learn he is a repo guy. The description of the boat repos had me relating as I am not the best on a boat either. But you can relate to him in various ways.
The ex-cop turned FBI helper and the crew working at D&D puts the work they do into real perspective. It also shows that you have to be a team player when it comes to certain types of work as well.
This was my first time reading this author and I thoroughly enjoyed the crime and thriller this story brought and will be reading more. It was one that once you got engaged you needed to know what was going to happen next. Wither it was Clay, Cassie, Wendell, Neil…. I needed to know what was happening next. I loved that it was a fast paced read to.

Murder Most Pemberley (Eliza Darcy Mysteries Book 1)
Romance is the genre I read most, but I love mystery too though it’s not too often I find one that speaks to me enough to read. Was it the mystery or possible love interest that drew me in? I’m not sure but I’m so glad it did.
Eliza and her adventure to meet her Dad’s side of the family had to be more than she was expecting in every possible way.
Between the weird vibes she got from some family members, the love she got from other family members, to the flirtatious vibe she got from Heath she definitely experienced a roller coaster mixed with some whiplash.
I felt a part of the story from the very beginning and it never lost me and hope that continues through the series.

Well the author dove right into this one! Angie and her friends are kidnapped, Angie fights their kidnapper, runs away, and is arrested for the murder of her three friends all in the first chapter!!! Elizabeth Candew has a lot of things going on in her life but most of them aren’t going the way she’d like for them to. She’s divorced, has a child that was conceived after an affair, has a pre-teen son who keeps getting in trouble, a crazy and overbearing ex-sister-in-law, and the list goes on. It’s when she attends a party for Lady Lily Wear that things really start to get interesting.
I love that Elizabeth’s last name is “Candew” because I firmly believe that she can overcome the challenges that life is throwing at her. She has a lot of lessons to learn and she stumbles several times along the way but the end result is worth it. I enjoyed this book although I do feel that it slowed down considerably after a character is found murdered. Overall, I was pleased with this debut book by Ms. Hernon.

This book surprised me and is so beautifully written that I was left speechless repeatedly. The flow of each poem is different but still amazing. I wasn’t sure what I was in for when I picked this up, but I was pleased with the gorgeous melody of each line I read.
I fell in love with the very first poem, “The Story of Me and What’s to Be” and I was afraid that the author put the best first. I was pleasantly proven wrong as I read each one as individual as the one before. Another memorable one was “Bits per Second, Tech Protectant, Descendant Who or What Expectant.” It brought me to tears and I found it incredibly relatable. The stories that are so wonderfully spun gave me more and more to think about.
I laughed and cried during this adventure and read each poem multiple times to soak them in. I highly recommend picking this up and reading with an open mind as it’s such a one-of-a-kind, amazing experience.

This is a contemporary cozy mystery starring Eliza Jane Darcy – a descendant of the original Elizabeth Darcy Eliza goes to England to attend a family reunion. While there she finds out about a secret involving her absent father. Most of the people at the reunion are strangers to Eliza.
During the trip, Eliza becomes an amateur detective, looking to solve a murder. Eliza is quite obvious about her snooping and funny enough, she keeps things from the police and leaves her fingerprints all over a missing person’s room. She does find some interesting things out – like a hidden tunnel system going around Pemberley.
The solution wasn’t obvious to me as I read this book. AS a contemporary cozy mystery that namedrops Austen character names a lot, I enjoyed the read. And if you haven’t read Jane Austen, you will still enjoy this story, too.

This second chance at love story was very well written story that captured readers attention from the beginning. It was easy to read and keep flipping the pages as readers just want to know what’s coming next. The characters were well developed and the story line was engaging enough to keep readers attention that it didn’t feel like a story we have read one hundred times already.

First off I wish I could give this series and the author more than 5 stars. This is Peg and Darcy’s story. Peg has respect for those around him. To me he is hard as nails yet kind hearted. Basically don’t make him mad. Darcy is a firefighter who has earned her right to be in the firehouse and work beside her fellow firefighters. She too is hard as nails and extremely kind hearted. That’s where the story takes off. I will not give you any spoilers. You just have to read it to believe it. This author has quite the imagination, that’s what makes her stories so easy to read. When this author’s name comes up I don’t even see what the story is about, as I know I will be reading or listening to it soon. The characters are easy to fall in love with and the story is fast paced. Be prepared to bring those emotions with you. You will need them.

This story is quite the emotional roller coaster ride but in a good way. It transforms you to another time, another place and allows you to enter what these characters endure from numerous perspectives. Ashley Adams is used to being tormented, between the bullies at school and Veronica her step-mother who is determined to drive her away. Harry will be attending her public school as part of his court appointed plan to get him to straighten up. Ashley plans to keep under the radar, but that quickly changes when Harry ends up needing help hiding from overzealous fans. The connection is instant but what happens when real life creeps in and Harry is forced to chose between what he wants and what he is told to do?
This was a wonderful retelling of Cinderella. Had some twists that made the story a bit more intense. I enjoyed Ashley, for all the hits she has coming her way she keeps her head up and is focused on what she needs to do to get on with her life. Harry grows up a lot in this book, he is often misunderstood and of course always in the spotlight. Definitely would check out the next book in the series.

Spring break is supposed to be full of fun times, making positive core memories, but not for Angie and her group of three friends. One night during their spring break, evil was lurking. The night ended with the three friends being dead and Angie arrested for murder. The Girl Who Escaped follows Angie’s struggle to find the person who did this to them and with the help of FBI Agent Brenda Reynolds, she just may be able to do it. The Girl Who Escaped is full of twists, turns, and excitement. Angie’s mental trauma and feelings are relatable. Each character was thoughtfully created, and the characters and the events are realistic. There were a couple of areas that may have been discrepancies, if they were not discrepancies then a little more information could have been used to ensure that they were not confused as such, but I still could not put it down and the possible discrepancies did not take away from the greatness of the book. Overall, I highly recommend any mystery/thriller/suspense lover to read The Girl Who Escaped. Some events may be triggers for some survivors, so just be aware when you go to read this book.

I thought this book was a great read.. it was greatly written. A lot of talking between each character, like I was actually there and not just reading the book. The journey the characters take the reader on is full of everything and anything, including love, war, anything. Would anyone be able to handle change in a bad light? Would anyone be able to take the challenge of everything is going the way they want it to go but then it all goes up in flames and changes. The main female character lead has to decide if she’s willing to risk everything or just take care of herself. She does do what any real heroine does, helps everyone and do things for everyone. But she needed a tad of help so she insisted someone to help her out. But would anyone wait forever for a long and forever love? How much would someone take from the person they Love? Especially when they know they are hiding something from them. This writer made this book an awesome read. I didn’t want to put it down. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys this type of book. You wouldn’t want to put it down.

This is a great follow up to the first book in this series. After the horrific events at the end of the first book, and all that Melody and her best friends Lance and Imani were put through, this book shows us a bit more about the recovery process and the healing of the friendships between our main characters. Not only do we see how Junior and Senior year of college goes for them, but how the first few years after school turned out as well. This book is told from Lance’s perspective, for the most part, but has input from Imani and Melody as well. While I definitely don’t agree with all of the characters life choices, and at times found myself wanting to smack some sense into a few of them, I also found myself getting so lost in the story that the real world ceased to exist until I had to put the book down to do real world things. I can’t wait to see how this series ends.

Although I’ve read the first book in this series, I hadn’t read #2. I still really enjoyed this book and being able to read more about characters old and new and for the most part, it still made sense. I felt like the two main characters Cam and Freya really grow up and while their relationship deepens, they also feel like two very settled adults who’ve been through a lot but are also there for each other. I was a bit uncomfortable with how Amara was described as a Thai woman but other than that, I also enjoyed the many other characters in this world. So overall I felt like this novel is a bit more slow-paced than the first but it was still very much an enjoyable read.

This is a fantastic mafia romance. It is filled with action, danger, lies, deception and of course passion. This book was so interesting that I wish I had read the rest of the series. Mia is stuck in a dangerous situation, stuck between her father and her step brother. As the daughter of a mafia boss, she has been abused and used as a pawn her whole life. Deciding to take her future by the reins, Mia makes plans to escape. Imagine Nico’s surprise to find Mia, the daughter of his enemy, in his secret hideaway. The chemistry sizzles between them. An enemies to lovers romance, this is an amazing book. The plot will keep you riveted from beginning to end. The characters will have you cheering for them. Ever since I have started reading these books, I have become completely hooked! This series and author are fast approaching my go to read as these books are wonderful and the best mafia romance books that I have read. Each book gets better and better and this one is no exception! Each one of these books has different and many twists and turns that make this such a fun and wonderful read. I have read this book twice since getting it because Nico and Mia’s story is such a welcome addition to this great series. I cannot wait for more books to come out by this author!

This book comes with a warning from the author that it is not for young adults as it deals with very serious and deep ideas. Our FMC suffers with mental health issues and severe depression. Her HEA is supportive and helps her but you will possibly need to take breaks to deal with the heartaches! That being said it is well written and definitely a story worth reading (especially if you enjoy some bdsm).

Whew can I say that this book was AMAZING!! I have not read any books by this author before reading this one and I cannot wait to read more books by her! Anna is a character that is totally relatable who you just enjoy reading. Phillip is one who is learning more about himself and how to relax a little bit. Their ruse starts out as one that is make pretend but as the time goes on, they start having real feelings and that’s when this book gets even more intriguing! This book was just plum wonderful, and I cannot wait to reread it and let my friends know that this is one that needs to be added to their list of books to read.

Poetry is not normally my genre. However, I was captured by the cover of book and the ‘blurb.’ This is truly some psychedelic poetry. There is one piece that struck a chord: Waste Replaced Displaced in Space. It felt like a stoned Dr. Suess but it really does make you think, feel and try to open your mind .Stall, Slip and Fall Before You Get To It All, isn’t that a description of life? There are many original poems in here. They are creative, unique and speak to you. Give this book a shot. You may find you like it.
