This is a great story about 2 individuals who were friends early in life, that is until a tragic accident happened. Addie and Wesley had a close relationship until a tragic accident occurs, and after the accident, Addie and Wesley go their separate ways, but somehow fate has a strange way of bringing them back together. Wesley goes on to being a pop star, and Addie works at a law firm. Well luck isn’t on Wesley’s side and he ends up having to make a visit to Addie’s office. Well as time goes on, Wesley takes a liking to Addie, and Addie has a fear that Wesley will change his mind once he discovers the truth. To find out what happens next, you will just have to read the book for yourself!

Fairly Royal (The Fair Series Book 4) by Grace Grahme. This was such a good, fun romance. Its the story of Anna and Phillip. Anna has been crushing on Phillip for years. Phillip is her brothers best friend so they pretty much grew up together. Anna is trying to grow her new business so she is trying to put herself out there socially more. Phillip is the Earl of Arburne and has given up on women but needs a girlfriend for social events for PR purposes. When the Press takes pictures of Anna and Phillip out together the rumor gets started that they are a couple. Phillip decides to run with it to keep the press happy and his mom off his back. While they start spending more time together Anna falls more in love with Phillip and he bgins to have feelings for her. Will they be able to make a romance work or will their past come between them? Such a fun romance.

She’s finally given up on being a submissive because not one of the men have followed thru with their promises to her. When she meets Reuben at the Cullowhee Club she thinks she might have found the one! Reuben knows he’s found the one he just has to tame her some. Alice isn’t one to be bossed around without talking back so Reuben wasn’t expecting that but is loving it. Read about the submissive/dom lifestyle and watch Alice and Reuben fall in love.

This author has created an outstanding series. This is book 4 and it is full of almost everything you could want about Vikings. The author is very knowledgeable about the subject and it shows in the writing. Kara is one strong, brave and courageous woman. She has had to be during the war. It was great to read about Cub and Finn. I really enjoyed reading about Kara’s adventures. The book is exciting, has unexpected twists and turns. The characters are well-developed, even down to the soldiers without white. I feel like I’m reading a history book with fun. Learning and enjoying reading, two benefits that I have received from this series. I will be eagerly awaiting the next installment. I highly recommend this series. You will want to start with book 1.

Gabriel, doesn’t view himself as worthy of marriage for Celia. Celia is a high-spirited woman carrying baggage that she doesn’t share with anyone…and she often finds herself in trouble. The chemistry in this story could burn down the barn. Their sexy flirting is what keeps you laughing because they just need to admit (not so easy to do for the time period). As some may say, Celia should have been born in another period. She’s noone’s property. The story is well-developed with two storylines that intertwine nicely with no glitches. There is even a plot twist or too. A quick, fun read with a bit of steam.

PHENOMENAL! This suspenseful story knocked my socks off. I was not expecting that. I loved the twists and turns. The narration was a tad monotone. A little more excitement and variation in the voices would have made this perfect. A plot full of action and twists, slimy characters that you love to hate, even ones you thought you’d love but found out they suck too. This story is worth the listen.

Kara, Shieldmaiden of Eire is the fourth compelling book in this historical Forerunner series. This tale has everything to delight paranormal/fantasy lovers.

With a myriad of creatures Jay’s vivid narrative, you are drawn in to the actin and adventures across Midgard and the nine realms and more. The story has mythology, Vikings, hardships, violence, epic battles, danger, drama, mystery, and so much more. Jay cleverly weaves all the threads together to ensure the reader becomes one with the adventure and feel for these interesting characters. The world building is carefully crafted and a magical place where the unexpected is the norm.

Jay’s knowledge and passion for Norse mythology and Vikings adds another element that gives us an engaging and epic tale. I also like that Jay is interested what readers think of his work and is thankful for the reviews left.

I am hooked and I look forward to more.

This is the fourth book in the Forerunner Series. I have loved all these stories from the beginning. They are packed full of action and adventure and the characters are so well written that you feel like you are viewing their lives as it happens. The books are aimed at young adults, however I have found them all enjoyable. I do recommend reading the series from the beginning as some characters from past books make appearances and it give the characters more depth when you know what they have gone through to get to where we find them. The stories are historical fiction and the authors attention to detail and research of the times is what really brings the stories to life for me.

This story mainly focuses around Kara. She is an amazingly strong and determined woman. In a time where women were meant to just marry and be happy Kara set out to destroy that notion from the beginning. After fleeing an arranged marriage she tries her hand by trying for the Dublin guard. When she proves her worth on the battle field to be as good as any man her life seems set on the course she wants. But things aren’t that simple, with battles looming, confusing feelings and her family in danger will Kara be able to keep all the plates spinning or will her dreams crash around her?

This book is a historical romance with a sexy steamy twist. The author does an amazing job of setting the scenes and the story along the lines of the time but by injecting some sexual chemistry between the characters making this one story I couldn’t put down.

Gabriel Rose is the illegitimate son of a nobleman but because of this is he has a lower standing in society. However he has his eye on a particular lady, even though he should. He can’t deny his attraction to Lady Celia Buchanan. Knowing that his affection and attraction to her isn’t allowed he has turned away and kept his distance until things change and what was thought impossible becomes possible.

Lady Celia has secrets of her own. She is a very strong, determined young woman, who because of circumstances in her past has become a bit of a flirt. She feels an attraction to Gabriel, there is something about the dark mysterious man that keeps drawing her in. Will the secrets he hold be enough to heal her pain and make her feel whole again? Or will the fact of his parentage or lack of mean that their connection can never be?

This story is beautifully written, you really get a feel for the era and how society viewed certain things such as a woman being a flirt and a man with interests on a lady above his social standing. The way the character come together and their personalities beautifully complement each other and takes this romance to another level.

~ Authentic Historical Viking Fiction~

You will want to read these in order. This sequel is the perfect follow up to “Thorfinn and the Witch’s Curse”. Jump into this new read, as Finn dives deeper into his destiny. I am 100% terrible with names, places, and understanding history, so to be able to pick up a book that makes history just a little bit easier to understand is such a savory treat.

The author continues this ride with plenty of character building, world development, and plot twists. It almost feels like we (the readers) are on the same understanding as Finn is, and as he grows with his Clan, we too are getting a better understanding of his mission and just how to get there. There are new characters, folk legends, and quests to be had. I love that being a Viking novel, Jay doesn’t disappoint. Between the blood feuds, revenge, oath making, family ties, and the challenges each character faces, this really isn’t a cookie cutter story.

This adventure is super in-depth, each character’s story can swallow you up whole and spit you out right in the middle of a feud. Will Finn find victory against his rivals, and can he and his clan hold their spot in history? If you are a fan of Vikings, fantasy, YA, dark intrigue, or the like then you definitely will want to check this one out.

A bit of everything
This is the fourth book in The Fair Series. This is a best friend’s little sister, billionaire, royal, with fake relationship and a touch of pretty woman type of romance. It is well written and the characters get their fair share of challenges. There’s drama, scandals, lies and some steam along the way. Anna is a very strong character and stays true to herself throughout the whole story. I enjoyed the setting and the way the author immersed the Scottish culture and dialogue. It was not overly done and well balanced. Recommend.

This is the fantastic first book in a new series. If this book is anything to go by then this is a series that I’m going to read over again. I’ll definitely read this book again as I was totally engrossed in this story. I had only previously read 1 book by this author and this is something that I’ll need to remedy as I also gave that book 5 stars.
This is a second chance romance with a difference as Wesley has no memory of Addison due to a horrific beating that he was given, which caused memory loss. It has to be noted that there are scenes of violence which some readers may find difficult to read.
I adored Addison and Wesley’s story. I was gripped from the beginning. Even though it’s a bit of a slow burner to begin with, it was still totally invested in their story and did not want to put it down. How dare real life get in the way and make you stop reading.
I loved that this book is a bit longer than a lot of books I read as I got more chance to lose myself in this fantastic love story. The author has done a fantastic job in creating these characters and weaving a fantastic story for them.
Definitely recommend.

Brilliant
I absolutely loved this book. Quinn and Kieran’s story told in dual POV was well written. The world building was exceptional and the characterisation around wolves is original. This book draws the reader into a fantastical world and the banter between Kieran and Quinn makes you totally invested in the storyline. Even though this is a stand-alone I am hoping to see glimpses of these characters in future V-Clan series books. Now awaiting Lorcan and Kyra’s story.

Oh my goodness what’s not to like about his book !? It’s starts with a quote from Lizzy Bennet Darcy so I was already sold ❣️📕

I was in stitches before I even paged my first page “ Sexy underwear or granny panties …” 😂😂😂😂 and then Belle , Eliza’s best friend teases her about her choice of books and the fact that she’s actually packing books on a trip and well I must say I’m very much like Eliza there ❣️📕😉

The characters are just loveable and quirky from aunts and uncles to cooks and friends they all just have this way to climb into your heart and make you smile and wonder .

There’s was more than just giggles though there was a mystery and family secrets that kept me guessing and on my toes and all is not as it seems 😉

We can’t forget the romance either can we !? ❣️There we’re endless cups of teas and delectable treats to have with these lovely folk …

I read some critique about this book and I was saddened because there’s so much to love about this read ❣️📕and I just want more !!!!

Scandalously Yours is the fifth book in the Titans of Manhattan series by Anise Storm. This is another wonderful instalment in the Titan’s series. As with the others, this is a contemporary romance with an office/workplace romance aspect, taboo relationship (he’s her boss), medical romance, chemistry, sparks, sizzle, angst, agendas, danger, scandal, tension, complexity, greed, emotion, secrets, manipulation, pain, heartache, meddling ex, and finding love unexpectedly.
After meeting Kristopher previously and not liking him much after finding out about the nasty part he played in Kenzie and Jonas’s story (in the last instalment), I went into this story with a bit of a heavy heart as I was convinced that I was never going to like Kris no matter what happened. Well, I admit now that I was wrong. He won me over, surprisingly- and I am so relieved that I don’t have to hate him, or this book lol.
As expected from Ms. Anise, the story was quite emotional and heart-wrenching at times- I really felt for both the characters and what they were going through. There were times though that I really wanted to shake them both for their lack of communication- so frustrating. Some of the subject-matter could be considered triggers for some readers, such the toxic relationship between Kris and his ex, her emotional manipulation and blackmail- using the children as pawns in trying to control Kris and the situation (I hated her with such a passion, and would have loved to have throttled her for what she did- she was such a *&^%$@$ <@~^?). There were also some intimate scenes that made me cringe a little, as all I kept thinking was that there was a huge potential for a vaginal infection (ie: I’m not against anal play, but going from backdoor to frontdoor and back again was a no from me lol… I kept thinking noooooo. But that is just my personal opinion, where I learned that you never go from the back door to the front door, as it is very unhygienic and can lead to serious infection in the lady garden- but again, that’s just my opinion. If you don’t mind then that’s fine too)…
I can’t wait for the Titans of Chicago series to arrive- so excited to see what those books will hold!

This is a first read for me by R. L. Dunn and I was not disappointed! In this first book in the Blood Obsession series, the author creates totally different, but coexisting worlds. I was drawn in from the very first chapter and couldn’t put this book down. Ritual Obsession is filled with twists and turns, suspense, romance, drama, and everything in between. The connection between the characters is so realistic and each character is so unique that I couldn’t help but want to be friends with some of them! Dunn creates not only one but two strong, female characters that know how to hold their own in the male dominated world of the NYPD. With strong character development, great world building, and action, romance, and suspense in abundance, Ritual Obsession is not a book to miss.

This was a great 5 star read.
I really liked Phillip and Anna’s story. Anna is Phillips best friend’s sister, she is off limits. Phillip is tired of his mother bothering him about dating. However, there is an opportunity for Phillip that he doesn’t want to pass up. Talk to Anna about fake dating, but can they keep it fake or will their feelings get involved?

Overall this was a great read. Anna was the perfect person for Philip, she brought him out of his shell. She was a strong character that had me LOL at times. The attraction and steaminess between these two was off the charts hot. There were a few things that had me wondering if they would make it but I was happy with how things ended. Once I started I was done before I knew it. If you’re looking for a great read, 1-click and get started today on this series. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Building Storm is so much about rising from the ashes. It’s about losing everything, being broken, and finding out that when you think you can’t go on there’s a rainbow behind the clouds.

The story brings together two people who are both broken and similar but different in ways. Two people who for all intents and purposes should be running away from feelings. What starts out as just some good old-fashioned banging quickly turns into two people you are rooting for.

What Storm has already had to endure coupled with what else she ends up enduring throughout the story will break your heart, but also let you in to see just how much inner strength this woman has no matter what storms are engulfing her life.

Landon is a man clearly dealing with his own troubled past and storms. He somehow is able to use that to help Storm in ways she doesn’t realize. In the process I think he finds some of his own healing that maybe he didn’t realize he needed and deserved.

As with any good romantic suspense story, the secrets are bound to come out and you better hold on to your seat for the crying, the shock, and the pure holy heck moments,

Bringing other characters to the forefront like Saint and Byron make the story even more enticing. As always I love that this author brings all of the Hawke family in. While reading this series the only thing I would love to maybe see is a prequel that gives us much more background to Antonia and the origins of the Hawke family. Just as in book 3 this story has so much more storytelling than books one and two it’s exciting to see the incredible growth of this author from book one to this book and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one. I highly recommend reading the series in order to get the most fulfillment out of your reading pleasure.

Well, Pemberley, Eliza and Darcy – obviously my first pick of the month. I am a hardcore Jane Austen fan and this book did pique my interest. Eliza Darcy, a descendant to “THE DARCY” visits Pemberley for a family reunion to patch up differences between her father and uncle. Things go haywire when the social etiquettes are replaced by murder and mayhem. Eliza along with the swoon-worthy Heath. Eliza is an amateur detective and half the time errs, but she gets some solid clues which become the game changer.
Being an ardent Jane Austen fan, I did find references to the original P&P characters not really necessary, this book could have carried on as a contemporary murder mystery book “as-is”. But I did not mind revisiting the good old P&P characters at all, this book was fun But the book was overall fun and easy to read. A good mystery, eagerly waiting for what the author has in store for the rest of the books in the series.

Bake Happy is the last funny young fantasy book to the Bake Believe series. It’s such a fun book and I can’t wait for my daughter to read it so we can talk about the series while we bake some of the recipes that are included in amazing book set!!

Anna is learning to mingle with high society but she feels a bit out of her element but she finds ways to get comfortable in these situations. She’s had a crush for Phillip for many years and it finally seems like things are going in the right direction. I love Anna’s whit and sass and how she interacts with Phillip who always seems to be in “royal guise” but she brings him more down to earth.
This book is the 4th book in the series. Although I haven’t read the other books in the series I had no problem connecting with the characters and enjoyed all the extra moments with what I assume were characters in the earlier books.

Now that she knows what she can do, she NEEDS to know how this happened and why! Cat has to know EVERYTHING, which is a lot. While hunting for answers, Cat and her family gear up for a baking showdown with the other bakeries in the area. Cat, her best friend (and cousin) Robyn, and her sister investigate the competition in disguises and find out a lot about the different characters who bake in their town. They also find out really quick just how crazy things can get when they bake with magic without following the number one rule: Bake Happy. Bake Off is the second book in this fun unique high-jinx kids fantasy. I personally read this book, but I think my ten year old would love this book too. If is so funny and has recipes too!! I know my daughter and I will love trying some of these recipes and trying to make them low carb and low sugar.

Shake Down (First Coast Thriller Series Book 1)

The cover to this book is what got me, how could it not be good with the sun and water?  This book did not disappoint me at all.

Clayton has a lot weighing down on him, his teenage daughter,  ex-wife, child support, his bills and staying clean.  Not to mention his sister dropping in for a visit.

I was hooked as soon as I read the first chapter and it kept me hooked until the end, but my favorite part happened in chapter 2 as Clayton was driving the boat.  Reminded me of an experience my husband had on a boat several years ago which I thought was funny,  he did not and I don’t think Clayton would have appreciated my laughter.

I have added the rest of this series to my TBR list, want to see what kind of trouble Clayton, Jimmy and the rest of the gang find.

Elizabeth is a single mother of 2 struggling in her day to day life. She cheated on her husband resulting in a child that was not his causing them to divorce. Elizabeth knows she messed up and lives everyday living the consequences. Her ex-husband, still angry, is making things worse. Late with the child support cheque and letting his thoughts of his ex-wife known to their son. Elizabeth falls deeper and deeper into debt. She goes to a trunk show where a woman, named Louisa, is selling clothing in a pyramid scheme. Sounding too good to be true, Elizabeth falls for it. On her way to her first training session, she is met by police tape and the murder of Louisa. Elizabeth makes it her duty to solve the murder.

Trying to solve a murder, take care of a toddler by herself, protect her older son from bullies, an appearance of an ex, Elizabeth tries to do it all.

This book is the debut novel written by this author and it shows. The synopsis made the book sound really interesting and it was for the most part. The only downfall was it was very repetitive and felt like the author was just trying to fill the pages. It did not focus on the murder very often and then felt very rushed to close the case at the end of the book.

What a wonderful debut novel, I was absolutely blown away! The magic and illusions are amazing and the competition is fierce! This book has everything you want from a YA novel and so much more, with wonderful twists and a super satisfying ending! Lisette is a well written and complex protagonist whose determination and desperation you can truly feel, and her rivalry with Luc is so entrancing. Brielle D. Porters’ writing is so magical that I felt like I was in Oasis with all of the unique and fun characters she created. This book truly reminded me why I’ve always loved the YA genre! A must read!!
