Katie was asked to go to her friend’s wedding. Laurie said that Katie had to have a date to the wedding but Katie didn’t have a date so Laurie picked a date for Katie . The date that Laurie picked was Katie’s ex boyfriend. Katie went to the wedding and danced with her ex boyfriend. Katie’s mom got hurt and had hip surgery so she asked her boss if she could take some time off to take care of her mom. Her boss said no so Katie quit her job. I really enjoyed This Time Around. It is a quick, cute story about second chances at love. Katie has gone home for, what she thought, was a quick get away for a friend’s wedding. However, plans quickly changed within those 2 days and led her in a different direction. I liked that the story was mostly told about Katie but with little blurbs to show Chase’s side of things. The ending tho, come on! The author had quite a few loose ends, then threw a wrench in things, starting a new story like then bam. The end. Thank goodness for the epilogue…for a little closure to us readers.

This author is one that never fails to impress. I never hesitate to start reading a book she has written because they are all so good, and this is just another one to add to that list. I loved the story between the main characters. They were exactly what each of them needed and I loved the way they developed. The story was emotional and well written. I was fully invested in what the author had written. I always enjoy how varied her work is. No two books are ever the same which is why I think I like them so much. This is another great story by an author who should be on every ones one click list.

What I loved the most about this book is that the characters really are worlds apart from each other. Their situations couldn’t be any more different and yet somehow it worked – without either having to make great changes to their personality in the process. I enjoyed this because I connected with the characters right from the start and would have hated for them to have completely changed by the end of the story. The storyline was pretty good too. I was caught up in what was happening, and the emotions that ran through the book. I thought the author did a great job of making you, as the reader, become invested in what was happening. Overall, I thought this was a highly enjoyable story and I look forward to exploring more of this authors work.

There’s something about Aimee was a story that had me on the edge of my seat. There was so many unexpected twists and turns. It was a little more heated than I prefer, but overall it was a great story. I love Aimee and her character. She is a total kick butt girl, who can hold her own and is brilliant. I kept wishing we knew more about her past, and then my wishes were granted. The author did a great job of building the characters slowly. It had kind of a 50 shades feel to it, as I look back. Rich powerful male, inexperienced young girl (altho homeless was a nice twist) but it makes for a good story. Qadir was a character I didn’t like at first but he grew on me. I love his brother Tarek and his dad, and hope they make it into further stories. To be honest, the names was hard to pronounce, which I always hate, but I guess they are middle eastern so it’s to be expected… overall, it was a good book. The epilogue was a good wrap up and made me love Qadir.

Katrina has finally settled in and is enjoying her new start in life. All of that changes when she hears “his voice”. It’s the voice from her past that has comforted her in the tough times. How can she be hearing it now? As she gets to know “him”, she wonders how many more of her visions are going to keep happening. This was an intriguing book that kept my interest piqued. Great story that I highly recommend.

This time around was an ok read for. I thought the book was rushed and way to fast paced. Katie left Chase behind and went to start her life. She broke his heart in the process. Katie returns to her hometown for a wedding for a friend who happens to be the cousin of Chase who refuses to have singles at her wedding so pairs people up. Well guess who got paired up together?!?! It just seems odd how after 10 years, yes it may be uncomfortable but the characters act like it’s been maybe a year or 2. Just thought the book moved way to fast before I had a chance to get into the book or root for the couple, it was done.

I love the strength and determination of Ella’s character after facing such hardships. This story truly has everything you would ever want in a book, secrets, lies, greed, love, humor and hope. You might need some tissues but I thoroughly recommend this book!!!

I absolutely adored this novel because it brought back memories for me growing up, as well as raising my two daughters when they were young teens and getting into baking! The character development was really well written, even though this is the first time I have read one in this series. I didn’t have a hard time picking it up and reading! This book is great for young teen girls, even if they aren’t into baking! I was very satisfied with this book! Great job by the author!

Chase’s is less than thrilled when his cousin lets him know that she has volunteered him to be his ex-girlfriend’s plus one. He is finally over her. His life now revolves around raising his nephew. The feelings of resentment towards Katie are right there on the surface…but she is not the same girl he remembers from ten years ago.
As feelings begin getting involved, they are reminded that their time is limited because Katie must return home. But, when a family emergency arises, will Katie head back to work or will she finally put her own happiness first?!?
This was a quick and easy read. The story is fast paced, as the timeline for the story is really only a couple of days. You could feel the love that Katie and Chase shared as teenagers…and the agony and regret Katie feels over the way things ended. It was a story that pulled me in from the beginning. I finished it in one sitting.

This is the third book in this series. I have loved all of these books. It was beautiful to see how the character Cat grew and developed through these books. Each books deals with different aspects and troubles that any young girl goes through and the way Cat deal with these things makes the stories enjoyable and relatable.
I also love the passion Cat has for baking and how the success of her baking depends on the emotions she is feeling and what she is going through at that time. It is also lovely to read of the connection of the family starting with her grandma and passing down the love of baking.
Another beautiful little surprise in the stories is the recipes so you can make them yourself. I found this a really unique twist and helped to bring the story to life even more.
These books are definately a must read of any young person trying to navigate the changes that come from being a child and growing into a young adult.

What a great love story the “Key To His Heart” was. This is a story about Katrina, “Kat”, who is pregnant and recently divorced. She felt she needed to start life over and moved to a small town in PA. While in her new town, she meets the man she has envisioned for eight years, TJ. TJ is a retired football player, turned chemistry teacher, with family all around town. They first meet in his parents’ store and feel a weird connection, but she leaves without looking further into it. His aunt rents a house out to Kat, but they don’t realize it until TJ stops by to work on the house and finds her in labor. This is the real start to their crazy love story and you will never guess all the little twists, turns, and fate that make it all possible. I really enjoyed this romantic love story. It reminded me of a good ole fashion Hallmark romance that had good plot, love, and a happy ending. I think the most enjoyable aspect was the characters, all of them from Kat to TJ, but also all of TJ’s family members. While I don’t normally enjoy stories when a pregnancy is involved, I think the personality of TJ made it more enjoyable. He was my favorite character by far. He is kind, masculine, thoughtful, sensitive, strong, educated, etc. TJ is everything I think a man should be and he handled all of the situations with such grace. This story really gave a positive spin on the single parent topic, showing that it isn’t hopeless, the right person always comes along, and that there are men who can take on responsibility, take and love children completely, and that a “stepparent” can be just as amazing!!

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. This Time Around is a fast read and you will absolutely love it. The author sure knows how to capture the attention of the reader’s. I was sucked into the book and had a hard time putting it down.
Katie is going home for a friend’s wedding. When she gets there her friend demands that she has a plus one. Then an emergency happens and she decides that her job isn’t worth it. The quote I chose for Katie is: “That’s an interesting suggestion. I can start small at first, and expand later. I’d have to draft up a business plan and run numbers on the costs. Thanks, guys, you’ve been really helpful.”
Chase isn’t wanting to see his ex as he just got over her. Then she places herself back into his life. Can they make it this time? The quote I chose for Chase is: “How about you hand the pieces to me when I need them, except for those heavy ones?”

Something About Aimee by S.E. Smith is book one in their Girls From the Streets series. Aimee and Qadir couldn’t be any more different. One grew up with what many would consider a rough childhood with a lot of street smarts. And one grew up in a palace, surrounded by luxury and security. When the pair unexpectedly meet, sparks immediately fly. I have to say, I had high hopes for the story but things seemed to happen almost too fast. The instant attraction was understandable but the quick love and almost overwhelming infatuation was a bit strange. Aimee seems to throw herself into danger and being wealthy and of status Qadir seems to bring it. The story could have used a little more heat and spice over danger. That said, overall the story was good. Just felt as though some things could have been a little better.

Nate and Cat are having a mixup of trouble in this, the final installment of this trilogy. Somehow, during a family dinner, Nate and Cat had a heated exchange and set off some events that made for a week of drama, humor and challenges galore. Don’t eat the goodies….those emotions are running free. This book was so entertaining. Cat and her family, Robyn and her family, Jojo, Jake, Nate, Liam, Tobey, and the cast of others make for a story of teen angst and drama that is so relatable. The reference to Freaky Friday was awesome. I’ve been around awhile so I can think back to the original. I also found the story of Evie and Maurice so romantic and heartbreaking. A plot twist for the win. This trilogy has been so entertaining to read plus recipes to boot: Tres Leches Cake; Almond Bark; and many more. A win for all of us.

Pure, good vibes to be found within these pages. This little novel, with big feelings, goes to show that timing really is everything. You may find your person when you are young, and not ready for that reality, and you go off to live your life and dreams, only to be pulled back into the arms of that same person. There are so many scenarios in which this could be played out, and this author really did the best job at allowing for us to connect with both Katie and Chase, and root for them once all the cards were on the table.
Life really does have some crazy twists and turns, and some changes make us even better. A wonderful read, I admit I devoured it in a day, and had some laughs, cries, and held my breath at the beautiful story that was woven. If you’re looking for a quick read with lots of love, care, and beautiful memories, this is it!

Because Dominik and Leah are great for eachother! Dominik is this stubborn bad boy and Leah is this famous country star! From completely different worlds (so you think) Little do you know but Leah has a crazy past herself! 🤔 phenomenal book though! Great plot, amazing characters! I couldn’t put the book down and that’s why I’m up at 2 am 🤣 I just HAD to finish it. The drama, the thrill, the intensity, the spice…it’s all perfect! HIGHLY recommend!
Thief is the fourth captivating book in the Popov Bratva series by Leslie Georgeson. OMG have I got some catching up to do with this author. I can’t believe it has taken this long for me to discover her fantastic work/s!!! I have seriously been missing out. All it took was one book and I have developed a Leslie Georgeson addiction that I am only too happy to keep feeding. Oh Yeah – I feel a book binge coming on …. This is a sublime Bratva romance- an enemies to lovers story with plenty of action, danger, mystery, suspense, dramatic developments, intrigue, chemistry, sizzle, humour, banter, comradery, ‘brotherhood’, angst, agendas, secrets, betrayal, incredibly interesting characters, and so, so much more. Dom is a Bratva prince who sets out to fill a customer order which will require him to ‘acquire’ a certain type of vehicle- but things don’t quite go according to his well laid out plans and this thief ends up stealing something much more valuable than just a sexy car. A Bratva prince, a country music star, a stolen car, danger, and plenty of sparks combine to ignite quite an exciting ride…. I have come into this series a little backwards, starting on Book #4- so thankfully ‘Thief’ is able to be read as a standalone without feeling like I was lost or missing important information. Having said that though, and from what I could tell, the series has a stellar cast of recurring characters who each get their own book in the series. These characters have well and truly whet my appetite for sampling more of their deliciousness- and Ms. Georgeson has me well and truly hooked on all the enticing developments. And as I said earlier, one book is definitely not enough! I am so happy to have finally discovered this talented author, and to find that she has numerous other books ready for me to devour. I am excited to find someone worthy of a major book-binging session. I am looking forward to stalking- hmm, umm- I mean ‘following’ her, and will be keeping an eye out for anything new she produces so I can snap them up, too… As I said, this is the fourth book in an on-going series. I enjoyed being able to go visit the 1400s in this book. I often wonder what life is like in different time periods. I really enjoyed the adventure the author took us on in this book. I’m not sure I would survive in a world with arranged marriages, but it’s a lot of fun to read about. I haven’t read this author before, but I’ll be sure to check out other books ASAP.

Something About Aimee is definitely the best book I’ve read this year. This story is about a homeless young woman named Aimee Wheels and a prince named Sheikh Qadir Saif-Ad-Din. Aimee is a strong free spirited woman with the most enchanting personality. Her character drew me to the story from the first moment i read about her. Qadir’s love and fascination with Aimee will definitely make your heart skip a beat. This story is full of action, fun, sexy seens and much more. Something About Aimee will keep you turning pages non stop. This book will be on my favorites for years to come.

I loved this book from the first word to the last. I felt like I was right there with Eliza, Heath, and Joy – tackling a mystery. A hilarious book with twists and turns and romance. What’s not to love??
I could not put the book down, hence I declare it delicious. Perfect for a day out in the sun. The author impeccably blends proper English with British colloquialisms. Spun in perfect measure with whispers of scenery and life from days of yore. Such a delightful book. My only complaint is that it had to end. I am thrilled to know this is going to be a series. Until the next book!

My heart is so happy that I picked up this book to read and could not put it down!! The story totally consumed me from beginning to end. This story had it all…. action, deceit, love and a few steamy scenes!
Aimee Wheels is such a free spirit and hustling day to day as a courier in NYC. When a small bet is wagered if she can get a delivery on time..Aimee is up to the task…but little did she know that the delivery also changes her life. Sheik Qadir Saif Ad Din radiates power and is royalty tries to get some attention by Aimee, at first she dismisses him. When an assassination attempt against Qadir starts in full motion, Aimee saves his life. After that fateful attempt….Qadir and Aimee’s chemistry hits off the charts..but they both come from different worlds….will their differences keep them apart when chaos ensues?
There is so much more to this book but I dont want to give any spoilers away…I could talk about this story forever. The characters of Qadir and Aimee are fantastic, and even though they have different upbringings, they both share so much love not only for each other but to their families and friends as well. I did not want this story to end and I look forward to reading book #2!
