The Final Bite by Naomi Valkyrie is another wonderful MM paranormal romance with high stakes. I seem to just devour every single book by this author, and this is absolutely no exception. A gripping and unique read that while short, will absolutely blow you away. I adored the different take on the second chance/fate countdown trope. I’ll never pass up a Naomi Valkyrie book, and I definitely recommend you don’t either!

The Crown of Stones: The Complete Trilogy by C.L. Schneider is an absolutely enthralling dark fantasy series. I definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a truly enthralling series to dive into that will keep you reading for hours on end. This Trilogy has it all, magic, adventure, twists and turns, drama, epic world building, and so so much more. Definitely read them in order, but that’s the beauty of a box set, is you don’t have to wait to dive into the next book! Love, love, loved this series, and I wholeheartedly recommend it and the author in general!

This is a cute little book for kids. It discusses what somebody that’s bullying someone might actually be going through. I read this book to my 5 year old. She really enjoyed reading it with me. She was able to read quite a lot of it on her own. There’s a lesson for kids and also one for parents. I think Dagmara did an amazing job of bringing the world these characters live into life and there was definitely character development in this book.

I am someone who reads a lot. At least fifty books a year, to over 100 books in a year. I love those Hallmark romance stories, I love magical, paranormal, thriller, crime, young adult, etc. You name it, and I love it. Even if I read stories that are pretty similar in plot, I still enjoy reading them. Having said that, there is something so amazing about finding a story that is so incredibly unique, you’re absolutely captivated. This is one of those stories. I don’t come across them too often, even with the amount of books I read. This story is funny, dramatic, emotional, and over all just a fantastic read. I can’t wait to read more in the series in the future.

What a suspenseful story! Anise Storm sweeps me off of my feet again! From the very beginning of the story, Anise had my attention (dark and mysterious male character and the death of Brynn’s sister). As the mystery unfolds and more details come to light, the reader is left with so many questions. The characters are amazing, show so much growth throughout, and the spice is great too. Can’t wait for the next story!

This is a story about a big, strong guy named Beefy who used to scare other kids. He learns a valuable lesson that being nice is better than being mean. He makes a new friend named Max who encourages him to be kind. Beefy learns that bullying can really hurt people.
Overall, the book is a heartwarming and educational story that is perfect for young readers. It is a great choice for parents and educators looking for books that promote positive values and teach children about the importance of empathy and kindness. The pictures are fun and colourful keeping the attention of the children reading it.
This story starts off with 3 kids who have to write a paper that explains what they are the best at. They go through things they are good at, video games, sports, etc. but quickly come to the realization that while they are good there is someone better. Throughout the day each kid encounters someone who needs a little extra kindness and give it without a thought. It wasn’t until they each saw the after effects that their kindness brought that they realized that kindness is something they can be the best at. While this story didn’t always directly connect every point it still manages to teach a valuable lesson to kids.

Being a child without love and care makes life tough. While Beefy parents love him they are working parents. But when Beefy starts picking on Gavin, Gavin calls his friends for help. The Super Buddies and their Bot Giorgio. What will Beefy do when the Super Buddies show up? Will they help Gavin or Beefy? This was a great story about Bullying. It is clear and easy to read. Even the pictures tell the story clearly. I love this story and feel it needs to be in every child’s library. This is by far the best Bully story I have read in a long time. I hope you and your children enjoy it as much as we did.
What an adorable story! A puppy trying so hard to be friends with a squirrel! The puppy, Donut, doesn’t understand why the squirrel keeps running away. Should she smile more? Does her breath stink? Should she do a little dance? Can she figure out a way to be friends with Peanut? Read to find out! I read this with my 7yo son and we both enjoyed it.

Another adventure for the team. This time they are helping Beefy find his missing parents. During the process of saving his parents Beefy starts becoming a buddy instead of a bully. After experiencing his parents change to be more apart of his life Beefy has given up being a bully.
A cute story that shows that just because a kid is acting out and being mean does not mean that they are just a mean kid. Sometimes it is because they are missing out on something important at home, such as parents involved in their life.
“Reunion” by Jocelyn Lindsay is the prequel, and very first book in the the “Hellgate Chronicles”. If my experience with “Reunion” is an accurate sample of the author’s story telling, I expect to enjoy them all, immensely. The author’s tone is natural, and the way the story is told felt akin to listening to a friend tell a story. This was definitely one of my favorite recent reads. The story follows our protagonist, Meg Walker, as she navigates uncomfortable…well…reunions and trying to live up to expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed the way the author embodied the enjoyable aspects of apocalyptic YA books but with a protagonist over 40. This book quickly grabbed my attention and held it. I would strongly recommend to other readers.

Spook Squad by Allan Evans is an intriguing YA paranormal story that was difficult to put down until the very end. This story has a bit of everything- paranormal, thrill, adventure, friendship, mystery, humor and more. Abbey is a young teenager with a special gift that makes her far from normal. She can see and speak to spirits and supernatural beings. She has her own little ‘Spooky Gang’ of friends who support her despite her quirkiness, and work along side her on her paranormal adventures. This story is a part of a series, however, I had no issues reading this as a standalone. The writing was fantastic. The story and characters were well-written and given just enough depth that the story flowed perfectly without the feeling that it was dragging on. Overall, this was really a fun, spooky and enjoyable read! I look forward to going back and reading the other stories of Abbey as well!

This was such a cute, romantic teen story! Starting her junior year, Holland moved to Arizona from Colorado. Growing up in the same town all her life had its advantages of developing friendships like with Alicia but as far as romance, it was nonexistent. As she starts her first day, she starts taking in all the differences from her old school. She bumps into Asher, who is so kind and helpful on her first day. Extra points for him being cute! They have their own ups and downs and they test their interest in one another. Then there is Chandler, who helps her in her time of need. She starts getting to know him. Then after a family gathering, she discovers Asher and Chandler are fraternal twins. What are the chances? Now you have to read to see where her intentions will lead to. Such a clean cut, adorable teen tale!

The beginning of the story brings the reader into what Buck Greene was dealing with prior to him moving onto a new life. The war does explain a lot of what the other characters that were in the war went through also. The author does a great job in describing how things were in that era, i.e., traveling on horseback, the building of the railroad track, and even how far Greene and his partner, Edward, had to travel just to question the men about the murder case. Overall, the story is very well done.

Beefy is a bully, but why? I read this book with my 7yo son. This story of how Beefy the bully becomes a friend has a lot of lessons in it. It explains why some kids may be bullies, and how we can help them become more friendly versions of themselves. There is a surprising twist that we did not see coming, but was very entertaining. My son and I loved it.
If you are looking for a book to transport you into a different world with wonderful adventures – THIS IS IT! All three books are long wonderful stories linked together to weave you into an epic world of adventure. They were exciting and transported me to another time and place. I can’t give too much away. Ian is a wonderful, compelling dark character who goes through so much and I was right there with him. Each book in this series captured my attention from the very beginning. They can stand alone but why would you want to stop, as the story continues. As you read through them, the story gets darker and darker. Each book links you into the next one. This author works with the imagination of the reader in creating this marvelous story. I am recommending this series to my adult family members & friends.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up by her. This is the sixth book in the series which just keeps getting better and better with each book. This can be read as a standalone but I suggest reading the previous books as well. This is a well written story about Kat and how she witnessed a murder, not only that but she has to be placed in an emergency housing. What happens next is something you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed the characters and what they brought to the story. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story. An engaging story that has a twist of suspense to it. I found this book easy and entertaining to read. I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to seeing the next book. I highly recommend this book.
This is an author that I enjoy reading. I enjoy her writing style and her creative characters that bring the story to life. This is one of my favorite books by this author. This is a well written story that is a fantasy with some romance and will show you how far these characters are willing to go for love. I enjoyed how the author pulled me into the story from the start with their engaging details. The characters are connectable and truly add so much to the story. This is an easy story to read about Petra and her determination to find out why her brother was killed. She just may find more than she expected along her journey. I really enjoyed her. This is a hard to put down story that you don’t want to miss. I really enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend this book.

Donut the dog is sad because her best friend had to love away and now she has nobody to play with. She sees a squirrel and decides she wants to be friends but she keeps scaring the squirrel away. Donut learns how to be calm and quiet and finally become friends with the squirrel. A great kid story that teaches a lesson about thinking of the other persons feelings.

This is a quick read. The premise of the book is simple: When you are kind and helpful you’ll win in the long-run. I think the world needs more of a ‘kindness is a winning attitude’ mentality so I loved the book. It is an easy thing to explain to kids in this way as well. Helping other people with chores or with things they struggle with (for many different reason) is an important part of life. It makes YOU feel good to help others…and isn’t that what we all want?

Tasha Moore was tired of being a doormat in all of her relationships. Inspired by a television show, Tasha decided she would stop hiding her feelings. Brutal honesty became her mantra. Her best friend, Ella, agreed it would be a new way of handling any new relationships she entered. Ella begged Tasha to join her at Winter fest because Ella’s mother-in-law was visiting. Liam and Ella had been going to a fertility doctor; however, his mother was persistent with her insistence for grandchildren. Tasha agrees, hoping to see the new tour guide from Granger Pond. She had met him as he led their group to see the whooping cranes. Despite going on the tour multiple times for years, Tasha is excited to see Daisy, a crane she had seen there for years.
Caleb was immediately smitten with Tasha when he had taken her and a couple to see the cranes. Her familiarity with the area and the flock captivated him completely. Tasha and the Biologist is a romance story that unites two people who are recovering from their painful pasts. The tension as each one tells their past secrets is palpable. The unpredictable plot adds even more suspense when Tasha and Caleb are separated for several weeks. Will a brand new loving spark flicker out? I found the story fascinating, and the wildlife information was provided in an easy to understand way. This is a 5-star story with excellent character development.Barnaby, a wiggly French bulldog, was even involved in the story, which provided a light despite the dramatic nature of the human revelations.

Petra was on a mission to discover how her brother, Aldeny, had died in the Cloistered City. She knew her brother had become a courier and refused to believe the letter that he had killed himself. She was assigned to the Washing House, where she did the laundry for the city. She became friends with Winfred, who was the target of a hateful trio of girls. When one of the girls had stolen Winfred’s lotion, Petra tried to stand up for her. Winfred was whipped unconscious and became extremely sick. Petra stayed by her side until she could work again. One evening, Petra’s life changed. She encountered a courier who had spent the night with a man. The courier gave Petra the message, which was extremely late, and her courier cloak before leaving the city.
Petra became an official courier that night. On her way to deliver the message, she crossed paths with a group of Shilvary guards. Captain Larkin grabbed her arm and shook Petra, intending to punish her for not bowing in respect. Captain Rand Tsenturian instructed his fellow guard to release her, as she was clearly a new courier.
Emperor Cyprian’s engagement to Lady Theophania enraged Lady Sunniva. She had intentionally come to Vale to marry Cyprian and form an alliance with Bessaraiah. Lady Sunniva sent a notice to her home country, which placed Captain Tsenturian in place to lead the troops to defend the country. Petra had become Rand’s personal courier and learned that he was the Shivalry guard that buried her brother. Rand led Petra to the garden that held the Antediluvian stone. Rand confirmed that Aldeny did commit suicide and was buried in the garden. Petra refused to believe him. She placed her hand on the Antediluvian stone and demanded that he swear he spoke the truth, or she would take him as her sacrifice. Upon her declaration, Petra bound Rand to her. They both bore undeniable marks of the Ensign of Sacrifice and his Sacred.
Rand refused to live with Petra without being married, something that Shilvary normally did not do. She had made him break his vow of celibacy; therefore, going to war with his men was in jeopardy. Rand took her before the Emperor and Cyprian performed the ceremony. Petra’s action required her to join Rand and his troops in the fight against Bessariah’s soldiers.
A slow-burn romance builds from the tragic loss of a brother forced to work before his time. Petra’s view is relatable, and I could feel how she wished to find retribution for the loss of her brother. His letters had kept her and her mother alive with hope. The plot of the story is unpredictable, and the power of the Ensign adds suspense to a burning point. Rand was unable to pick between his loyalties, and I wondered how long he would continue to lead Petra on without committing even after they were married. The addition of Lindy created another element that forced reality to reach Rand and Petra. There were some questions left unanswered; therefore, I am rating Sanctuary four stars.

An opposites attract small town romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Health inspector Hailey attempts to save a lost dog during a blizzard, but causes a pickup truck to crash. Struggling tavern owner Noah did not expect to be rescuing the woman who caused him to wreck his truck. Hailey can’t believe Noah protected her from the storm and with her stranded in town she offers to wait tables for him. Noah is struggling to keep his tavern afloat whilst trying to impress his judgemental father and deal with a cheating ex-girlfriend and an obsessed hookup. Hailey can see herself having a life in the small town of Fall River, along with Noah. However, outside obstacles try to prevent their developing relationship. Noah and Hailey’s chemistry came across in the narrative, and I liked how their relationship developed throughout the story. Both the characters and the setting came to life making me feel immersed in the storyline. This lighthearted and heartwarming romance, with just enough steam had me hooked from page one.

This is an interesting story from the get-go! It’s a story about a teen, her brother and dog, and a social worker. The teen witnesses a crime while living out on the street (while the brother was deployed when he became her legal guardian without notice). The social worker has to take on the teen to help and the story tells the story of how all three of them (and the dog) have to work together for their common goal(s). Such an emotional story with so many twists and turns and I didn’t see any of them coming but that kept this story so interesting! I really loved all three of the main characters and enjoyed reading this so much!

Adrian is a private man with a dark past. He is plagued with sleepwalking and not knowing what he has done. He often woke up several miles away from home or in different rooms, with no recollection of how he got there. Adrian has sadistic tendencies and enjoys being a dominant at Lotus, a BDSM club that requires a specific invitation. He rarely invited anyone more than once. Brynn’s sister, Blair, was found in the San Francisco Bay. After she moves into Blair’s former condo, Brynn accesses Blair’s laptop and discovers a shocking secret. Blair had a darker side; she was a submissive who found pleasure in pain.
Brynn discovers her sister’s stash of journals inside a secret compartment in a wall. She researches the lifestyle in detail after meeting Erebus69. After following Erebus69’s verbal instructions, Brynn receives an invitation to Lotus. What she is unaware of is that Blair had been one of Erebus69’s submissives. However, Erebus69 doesn’t know that Brynn is the half-sister to Blair.
Brynn’s work environment has become uncomfortable because of Randall’s attempts to get her to go on a date with him. He is her boss, and she has always refused his invitations. After Brynn’s condo is broken into, the only item missing was a pair of panties that Erebus69 had sent her. When Adrian learns about the incident, he asks for her number and hires Barry to watch her. Adrian doesn’t have feelings of love for anyone, but he feels a strong attraction towards Brynn.
For a story full of suspense and a slow-burn romance, Shadows in the Dark is an exceptional book. A dark past mixed with the painful memories of a lost loved one plagues both sides of this story. Brynn never knew her sister’s affinity for being a masochist. Adrain’s guilty conscience for his twin sister’s death. The isolation of both characters puts them at risk of harm. If Adrian is possibly killing people in his sleep, Brynn is a prime victim. Their shared time on Olympus and trysts on Lotus bring the steam factor in a tasteful way. The emotions that the sexual acts are displayed, the primal desire for dominance driving both to trust the other. The intricate details lead the plot into unforeseen circumstances for both characters. The story sets a solid foundation for the trilogy, and the intense end left me anxious to read the sequel. This is definitely a 5-star book I recommend for mature adults who like to delve into the BDSM world, featuring two lost people meeting physically. Will they also connect on an emotional level?

Another enjoyable and engaging romance set in the small town of Fall River, this time with an enemies to lovers storyline. When Joy left the small dusty mining town for a city career she didn’t plan on returning. However, when she inherits her estranged mother’s dilapidated and crumbling building she returns with plans of demolishing it. For hometown boy and passionate preservationist Charlie he sees great potential in the historic building Joy now owns. Whilst Joy and Charlie clash over the fate of the building a battle of wills leads to a growing attraction. The chemistry between the likeable Joy and relatable Charlie really came across in the narrative. I loved how their relationship developed throughout the story and it kept me happily turning the pages. Once again the setting and small town feel was brought to life.
