This is the beginning of a series, and it definitely sets it up for much more magic and mayhem to come. Ezri is a strong female protagonist while still being reliably human in her limits. There are so many moments I couldn’t help but sympathize with her and her struggles with both her family and work. If you’re looking for a paranormal detective story that kicks butt this is definitely my first pick for you. It will leave you on the edge of your seat and craving more. I will have to be getting my hands on book two to see where we will go now.

I’m not sure why, but I waited to read the second generation of books for a while. I thought it would be strange to see my old favorite characters all grown up and having adult children of their own. Then, I BINGED them all at once and wished I hadn’t waited so long! Maybe I have an advantage that I’m in my late 30’s, so I could easily date the Daddy or the Son…haha! But seriously, Manda is one of my favorite authors. She is incredibly talented in her genre of MC romance. This book has some possibly triggering content for some reader, but all of those REAL LIFE experiences make her books so likeable yet intriguing. A must read, as usual!

Manipulator’s War is Elise’s debut book. It is a YA fantasy tale. The story didn’t flow seamlessly which made it hard to keep on track but it is a good start to the Ruarnon Trilogy. Elise is an Aussie and it is great to see another author from Australia. They have lived with being a part of a brutal war for many years and now when everyone has gone missing Ruarnon has to step up. Linh finds herself in the thick of things when she would rather be anywhere but. Will she be able to help Ruarnon and find peace or will they all loose in the end?
With murder and mayhem, myths and local lore, and things that go bump in the night it has everything YA’s will love.

I can’t believe we are already on the last book, book five in this series. Once I saw that the book was out, I grabbed it. I have enjoyed all the books in this series as the story is an apocalyptic urban fantasy that is action-packed and as always kept me glued to the pages. Dahlia the dragon shifter once again finds herself in a race against time, with half her team MIA, monsters on a rampage, and the rest of humanity facing destruction. But if that isn’t enough, they also have to try and stop the veil between the worlds eroding.
Dahlia Nite is brash and kickarse, loud and sassy and faced with a final battle Dahlia lets her dragon free. inside her is done sitting quietly in the background.
Be sure to start at the beginning of this series and work your way through. YOU will not be disappointed.
If you read my review on the first novel in this series, you would know that I was not a huge fan of the character development. Well, let me tell you, after reading the second I am impressed. The character development I wanted was there, I just had to wait!
Still an incredibly original storyline as the first in this series was. You definitely need to read the first in order to understand the second, but you will not be disappointed. Very fast read, and the author keeps you on your toes throughout.

Marvel is a member of the Satan’s Devils MC and has been for many years now, he is a part of the furniture and loves his brothers more than anything, they have been there for him, but he has always kept to the side lines, but in all that time, as he has watched them pairing up, he has never wanted the same thing. Virginia Case is a woman with a history, she was happily married, had a career she loved and friends and family whom she was close to, that was until her life was ripped apart at the seems when she was betrayed by the person she was closest to, her husband and the way in which he did it was too horrible for words.
Now both of them are in the same locale when something kicks off and turns into a major incident which throws them, two complete strangers, into each others company for the time it takes for the incident to be managed. It is stressful for both of them, but they connect in a way that surprises them both. As they listen to the events happening outside of their little bubble, the two talk and relive pasts which they both want to forget, Virginia with her experiences with her ex-husband and Marvel who learned the hard way that women can’t be trusted thanks to a betrayal of his own. As they both open up to the other, neither of them expects the conversation to be suddenly halted with no kind of closure for them, or even the chance to say goodbye when the authorities take charge, however, this isn’t the end of their troubles, it is only the beginning.
The next day, the news outlets are all reporting about the incident and it is then that Marvel sees that Virginia is being hounded outside her own home and makes the decision to go and help her out, even though he can’t for the life of him figure out why and when he turns up on her doorstep and offers her a safe space to escape to, she accepts, much to her own amazements as well. As they try and come up with solutions to their differing issues, they become closer, but will these two broken souls be able to mend the other, or will it all come crashing down around them like it did in the past? This is an MC romance with a tenderness throughout which will surprise and suck in even the most hardened of hearts, as the suspense keeps you hooked throughout while emotions run high and both the present and future are in doubt until you reach the end of the story and the rollercoaster ride comes to an end.

The best word I can think of to describe this book is shocking. It was not anything I anticipated. From the summarization, I was expecting a dystopian world full of crime. Both of those are relatively true for this novel, but not in the way I originally had in mind.
The author kept me entertained with surprise until the very end, but to be honest I was a little disappointed with the characters. I love getting to know the characters in more detail, but you do not learn much about the main three (Rod, Sally, and Ned). You learn enough to understand the plot, but I would have loved more detail about all of them. Overall, this was a very original story line and would recommend to any horror or thriller reader looking for a different plot line.

Marvel and Virginia’s story will pull you in from the very beginning. They both find themselves in a very scary situation that they are not sure that they will make it out of. This situation has them opening up to each other about their pasts since their futures are uncertain. They talk about how they have been burned in the past and don’t see a happily ever after in their plans. After everything, they go their separate way without planning on seeing each other again.
The next time Marvel comes to Virginia’s rescue, he finds himself on the receiving end of the MC’s taunting for having a woman when he swore to never have one. After the threat has passed, and Virginia is ready to move forward, Marvel shuts down any chance at a future with Virginia. However, when he comes to the realization that he may want something with her…it just might be too late. This time, danger is waiting for her and Marvel may not make it in time.
I LOVE the entire Satan’s Devil’s series. I have read every book since the first one and this crazy cast of characters feels like they are friends. I enjoyed this story and look forward to whatever comes next!

I’m a sucker for a good serial killer story and this one was right up my alley. Two years ago, Lila Dayne was almost a victim of the I-80 killer but survived. After surgery, healing, and therapy, she moves to a small town in Iowa and takes a job as Sheriff Benoit’s Detective Deputy even though she fears the killer’s return. In the midst of a terrible flood in their area, Deputy Dayne discovers a dead body. She immediately knows the I-80 killer is behind it and spirals out of control knowing he is on the prowl to finish what he started. Can she keep her mind clear enough to help her team find the killer before it’s too late? I loved this book and didn’t realize it was book 2 of a series until after I got started. It can definitely be read as a stand alone but I’m going back to read book 1 because I loved the characters. The author did a great job making this book thrilling to read and created characters with depth and believability. I’m also looking forward to book 3 when it comes out!

This is a great YA fantasy story that is an exciting book to read. It is full of action and I found it to be quite fast paced. The story had been developed well and really kept momentum throughout. This is a new author to me and I liked the writing style employed. I thought the author did a great job of creating a non-binary character. It is the first book I have read with this as a focus point and I thought the author really portrayed them well. This is a strong start to a new series and I am looking forward to Book 2.

This is the second book in this series and oh my do I love a bad boy and in this book, you get two. Spencer and Josie’s chemistry is off the charts and add in Gage well you have a book on fire, the interactions, and conversations between the three main characters is a joy to read as always.
My only complaint is that the story is too short lol, it has all the warm and feels but has that dark under belly which just keeps you engaged in the book from start to finish. I can’t wait to read the next book in this gripping series.

The push and pull of the characters in this book will hook you from the very beginning. The knight in shining armor that no one asked for but yet never knew they needed until he appeared, the fighter trying to make it big, and the nurse. I’ve always said that an amazing writer is one that will convey everything they are feeling while writing their books to you through their words. I was not disappointed at all. This book reads very easily and the character growth and development is amazing. You will be trying to figure out what will happen next but at the same time you will be caught up in the sizzling steamy scenes that happen between the characters. This book is what I consider an easy read because I was constantly turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride this book takes you on.

This is the second book of this series and let me tell you, the steam and sizzle on the pages didn’t slow down. It almost felt like it increased. When reading this book you are going to need a fan to help cool you down from these amazing spicy scenes. A boy that will gladly give his body away but not his heart comes toe to toe with a feisty little spitfire that he can’t seem to stay away from. Then you add in a friend from the past and things spark to life. The characters in this book are amazing and it gave me everything I didn’t know I needed and then even more of the things I knew I needed. If you love reading some sizzling scenes and still have some substance of a story than this book is for you!!. I couldn’t put it down and it was a quick read for me because I just got lost in the book. Enjoy!!!

This book was hands down one of the steamiest, hottest, most melting books I have read so far this year. If you don’t have any triggers and don’t mind a little MM and MMF, you are in for a real treat. This books has scenes that burn the pages up and the of course will make you read it faster and not be able to put it down. There is character development throughout the story but I felt it needed just a little more than what I was given. Complete personal choice, it is there just didn’t hit the sweet spot for me. You will definitely fall for the characters and by the end of the book, you won’t be able to choose your favorite. The darkness that they all experienced in their lives is what brings them all together. If you have a few hours to tuck yourself away to read, this must be the book. When I say tuck yourself away, I mean it. You will be blushing from the things that you will be reading. Enter at your own risk but you won’t be disappointed.

If you asked me to name my top authors, this author’s name would definitely come up in the list. Having discovered this author a few years ago, I devour everything she writes and I’ve been impatiently waiting to read the 3rd and final instalment of this fantastic series. I could say she has kept the best till last but maybe I just need to re-read the first 2 to give a more balanced view as this one is so fresh in my mind compared to the other two. Am I also thinking that Gage is my favourite of the 3 bad boys or is that due to the freshness. Whatever the case, I adored Gage. He is an awesome character and I’m so glad that his female lead is just as awesome a character as he is. I loved reading about the two of them together. This book is hot and steamy and sure to blow your mind. In addition to Gage and Juliet, we also have Juliet’s long time friend Ten to add to the mix, making for some very exciting reading. In the style typical of this author, this is much more than a romance story. The suspenseful storyline running alongside the romance element is gripping and very entertaining. This book is a must read but before you read it, I recommend you read the first 2 books in the series as they are just as awesome.

This was a pretty good book! It held my interest which is sometimes something I struggle with when reading new authors and when I haven’t read the first book in a partnership series. Lila being a survivor of a serial killer attack added a depth to her character for this genre. Her teamwork with Elizabeth was well crafted and connectable. I definitely will need to go back and read the first one!

I love a good thriller and this book did not disappoint. Josie Thompson is a mother of 2 trying to divorce her abusive husband and start a new life. Josie is soon pulled into a case that has similarities to something she witnessed in her youth. This is a story that pulls you right in from the beginning. It is well written and intriguing. There are a lot of twists and turns to keep the reader intrigued. I thoroughly enjoyed trying to figure things out, only to have it veer in another direction. It is a fairly quick read and I found Josie to be an interesting protagonist. Though there is a bit of pandemic talk, it does not detract from the story. A great book! I look forward to the rest of the series.

This is my first book by this author and I am now a fan. I was hooked from the beginning. All the twists and turns made it almost impossible to put down. The characters were created and developed amazingly. The setting that the author created made you transport there. I highly recommend this book.

I really loved this second chance romance. The author does an amazing job with this book by writing a story that is a romance but had strong characters and some funny parts, as well as heartbreaking emotion. You see really taken on a rollercoaster with this book. I especially love Angelina. She is now a strong confident woman with a mind of her own and a sassy attitude which is a far cry from the girl that Blade originally fell in love with.
Blade and Angelina were young sweethearts but at the time circumstances left Angelina feeling they couldn’t be together so doing what she thought was best she leaves breaking Blades heart and hers in the process.
Fast forward 3 years and Angelina get the shock of her life when she realises Blade his her new boss. Is this the world giving them a second chance? Has too much happened between then and now to make them work? And more importantly can Blade ever forgive her for leaving and breaking his heart?

Finally, we get a story for Johnathan Gage! I have been dying to see what this author would give him, and just like the last two, could be read as a stand alone, full of spice, and action. I’m so happy he got his happy ending, because it was so sad for me in the last two books watching him start to pine for a woman only to have her fall in love with his friends. Overall, I think this is my favorite from the series, and it’s for sure one I’m going to read again.

Overall I enjoyed the story, it was a short read but the author didn’t really make it feel rushed nor did it lack any attention to detail. The main characters Zenni and Colton were interesting to read about. I really liked Colton, he was quite relatable and I have to admit at the beginning of the story I wasn’t too sure I would like him but I definitely grew to love him as the story progressed. Zenni was an intriguing character for me because she was actually nothing like I anticipated she would be, I imagined shed be all for the tearing down of something that represented pain and suffering to so many people in history but I could also understand her point of view in wanting it to remain. I could definitely feel the sexual tension between the two of the characters, that was for sure! I did enjoy the story, I really do love this authors work so I look forward to more from them in the future.

Marvel is quite the character. Very gruff and doesn’t trust any woman. He teases the other members relentlessly for having an old lady. I like his attitude and you learn all about why he is the way he is. Virginia is a woman who has been through hell and then some. I couldn’t even begin to imagine how I’d deal with her situation. Marvel and Virginia meet at a very unlikely place and in a scary situation. This book will keep you reading long into the night. This author never ever disappoints.

A Tormented Man’s Soul (Book 5) by D.M. Earl is literally the amazing. I loved this book from start to finish (well almost finished meaning there is part two). I can’t wait for the next part to come out. Until then, I am going to read Books 1-4. So in this book, it’s a story of Nicky (aka Chains), Jackson and Winnie. I really wished I had started the series from Book 1, I did connect with Nicky in this story. It’s so relatable to things that could happen. I don’t want to give anything away, but I will tell you that you will feel how Nicky/Chains feels. You will want to cry knowing part of his story and part of Jackson and Winnie’s stories as well. I definitely don’t think their story is over yet.

This book was beyond epic! I was captivated by the story, and the characters that it had possessed. I loved the action, and the whole good vs evil concept as well. There was defiantly some strong character growth as well. I loved the characters and really felt a connection to them, and I will be for sure reading the next installments in the series! I am very much looking forward to it! The whole story itself was captivating. Throw in the strong-willed characters that the book contained, and you truly have a masterpiece! I was astounded in moments as I read, for there was moments where I was not sure what to expect or a clear resolution how to get out of a situation. Linh was a character impossible not to love. She was a great lead to the story, and I loved her heart of never wanting to give up. To have a good leader, you need an enemy as well. This book had that and so much more! The book was a thrilling rollercoaster, and a adventure I am glad to say I took part on! Loved this book! If you’re seeking an adventure that defies the normal genre of an adventure, then look no further! This book had its own level of awesomeness, and it was a must read! Truly do highly recommend reading!

I have enjoyed reading this series from the start. I enjoyed how the author’s writing skills and attention to details made the stories pop. I am sad to see this series end but excited to see what is next for this author. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up as I know that I am in for a non stop adventure. This is a series that I highly suggest reading from the beginning. It will help you enjoy this series, the characters and this author’s writing style. This book is no different. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the characters from the start. They are connectable, creative and supportive of each other. They took me on a nonstop adventure that was hard to put down. Dahlia finds herself in a race against time and dealing with the dragon inside that is itching to get out. You don’t want to miss what happens with her. She is a great character that truly makes the story for me. She is a strong character that brings the story to life and had me coming back for more. This is a fast paced story that is entertaining and easy to read. This is a great story that I highly recommend. A great series that you don’t want to miss by a great author.
I enjoyed this young adult fantasy story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed her writing skills as well as her attention to details that made the story realistic. I found this story to be creative and well written. The characters pulled me in from the beginning. They are connectable and have great growth throughout. A story that is full of action, betrayal, survival of life, abductions and you don’t want to miss the assassins. This is a fast paced, engaging story that was hard to put down. The plot had great growth which made the story easy to read as well as entertaining. This is a story that filled my afternoon with adventure and action. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it.

This is a book young adult fantasy fans may enjoy. A little time travel, a bit of rival kingdoms and a conflict that will bring hard decisions. Linh and Ruarnon must work together to solve this dilemma. I found this story interesting. The story had lots of details. The characters were very well written and their personalities were pretty well-defined. The plot was intense but choppy at times, a bit hard to follow. Over all, fantasy lovers will enjoy this book.

They are attracted to each other but will that be enough to create a relationship?. All of her sisters had a rare flower bud when they met their star-mates. Would one bud for her and Arkon? Can each come to terms with their past?
This was the first book by Calla Zae for me, but it wont be the last. I really enjoyed the world and characters she built. The story is well written and easy to follow. I also had a hard time putting it down. I would recommend giving this book a read. I know I will be going back to read the rest of the series as I unintentionally started at the end.
