Rourke is in 7th grade and is riddled with anxiety. He’s got some mysterious neighbors, twin younger sisters, an autistic older brother, and parents who always say “it’s fine”. He is in a constant state of worry about different things but especially his brother. You’d think with this being a YA book geared towards middle school readers, it would be funny and lighthearted but it is definitely deeper than that. Although still a wonderful read for this age group, it is great for adults as well. It was a stark reminder that all of us have our own internal struggles, especially children. It’s so easy to think children live carefree but they have things in their everyday lives that can cause worry and anxiety just like adults. I definitely recommend this book for young and older adults. It really helps put some things into perspective.

D.M. Earl is a new author for me, I found this book to be a page turn, keep me on the edge of my seat read. DM has the canny ability to make you see what each character looks like and you feel like you are experiencing the situation and emotions as well. Francis N Stein, with a name like that you would expect him to be part of the Grimm Wolves MC but what you don’t expect, is a man with a big heart. Francis is a lost soul who really doesn’t have a lot of faith in humanity. His own parents torched him. Francis is also a firefighter who befriends a young student who has been torched as an infant as well. Situations and circumstances wither through Francis and Damien’s mom Grace together that the two can not deny the chemistry between each other but at what cost??

While this was a new author to me this will certainly not be the last book of theirs that I read. This story was captivating, enticing, and intriguing I just simply couldn’t put it down. This story was so full of emotions that it made my head spin on more than one occasion. Full of anguish, despair, drama, love and so much more that you really feel for the characters in this story. Book three of this series starts off with Van hiding in a wooded area, taking cover while she determines her next move in the Jaychund Games. As the Anchoress and a senior, she is the final contestant remaining in the games except for the unwanted guest, Suixsha.
As the author described the importance of the games, the cameras in the trees and the event being streamed for everyone to see, I truly felt a bit of a Hunger Game vibe. Van over-analyzed the situation as usual and allowed her emotions to get the best of her. So upon coming face to face with her opponent, Suixsha, she allowed her anger to control her and Suixsha took advantage.
Of course, book three could not be complete without sending Van off onto another mission, all while she tries to deal with her internalized feelings for the Balish prince, Ferox and seeing her BFF Paley, endlessly and shamelessly flirting with her ex, Brux. Bloodline legacies, Elemental rules, a heavy hand of fate and Grigori warrior expectations are a lot for Van to shoulder on top of the fact that she remains a typical emotional and hormonal teenager.
I know fluffy little Wiglaf does not receive enough attention in this series, but can we all agree that having a cute little Wiglaf of your own would be incredible?
Van experiences visions or internal discussions with the spirit, Jacynthia, who ultimately behaves like a guiding light when it comes to dealing with her feelings or questions regarding the circumstances of her life. She provides Van with honest and true guidance without telling her specifically what she should do, allowing Van to make her own decisions.
The author provided us with a great delivery of imagery, plot, and character building in this book. I truly hope she continues to write books within this series because I’m enjoying the characters and the action thus far. Each book of this series has been page turners and captivates you from the start. I think this is my favorite book so far although I think that after reading each one. They continue to get better and better, if that is possible.
I enjoyed this book and am bummed that I finished it. Until book number 4? Fingers crossed.

I have a lot of thoughts surrounding Behemoth but I can say I enjoyed the book overall and I do look forward to reading on in the series. There were segments in the book where I felt like I was missing something, it was eluded that Francis could often tell someone’s thoughts- even his brothers knew this but I never truly understood the context. I thought a couple times that I must have zoned out when reading and missed the backstory. The only other “criticism” I would have is that I expected a lot more “action” throughout the entire story line. All of that said… the characters are FANTASTIC. Grace, Stitch and even the secondary characters tugged at my heart strings. I am really excited to see what this author and series has to offer because I am anxious to learn more and be involved in the inevitable character development. The book was a pretty fast read and did keep my attention. I would definitely recommend it if you like motorcycle clubs and relatable characters.

I am truly hooked with this series and these Titans of men. This is a fantastic read. This story is a whole lot of sexy and steamy, sizzling and thrilling and enticing happening that makes it hard to set aside. There are a lot of emotions and times of angst. It makes it easy to become invested in the characters and their stories. I love a story that is told from several POV’s because you get a much deeper concept for who the characters are. Mason has a strict policy that works well for him and what he wants but a temptress steps through his doors that puts all the others to shame. I have read many of Anise’s books and I have enjoyed each one immensely.

This is the first book, I’ve read by this author. The blurb had me interested in it the moment I read it. Francis “Stitch” Stein is an intriguing character who straddles the line of the law spectrum. The MC portion of the story in itself was everything that you expect in an MC novel. What you don’t expect is the backstory and the consequences of said backstory. It was a uniquely spun supernatural tale that kept me reading. Now onto Grace. I loved her and her adorable child. I loved the chemistry between all the characters. I did enjoy this book. I will be checking out others by this author.

This is my first read from this author. I loved this book and enjoyed the author’s style of writing. The story is fast paced and flowed well. It is filled with mystery, intrigue and some horror. Who isn’t scared of clowns? Even the happy ones are creepy as hell. This book is a total clown apocalypse. Being only fourteen, Abbey is very brave for her age. She’s mature, spunky and I love her passion for 80’s music. I could hear the songs playing in my head. This book is a total thrill ride from beginning to end. The twists and turns will leave you on edge, peeking over your shoulder. This is a great book with a unique story that I highly recommend.

This is the third book in the Powder River Pack series though this is the first one I have picked up. It can be read as a stand alone book. I didn’t feel lost, but definitely want to go back and read the other two to build on the pack I am beginning to know. We meet Brandon and Macy in this story. Brandon is out celebrating his last night before heading off into the military. Macy’s taken out of the state for a night of kicking up her heels and letting loose. What can it hurt? Brandon and Macy feel a pull towards each other and have an incredible night together. Was that all it was? When Brandon comes back, can he find Macy? I was engaged in this story from the beginning and am glad I picked up this author.

My favourite books to read are paranormal romances. I also enjoy a good MC romance. This book is a blend of both. Despite having a traumatic childhood, Francis a.k.a Stitch grew up to be a gentle giant. At 6’5 full of scars, he’s intimidating. Even after all the cruelty that his parents bestowed upon him, he still has a heart of gold. He always felt like he was split in two. Being a firefighter and part of an MC, satisfies both parts of him. Growing up unloved, Francis never thought that he would find his one true love until he met Grace. One fateful day, Damian walked into his life and through him, Grace. They fill his life with something he never knew he was missing.
I thought the story was good and the characters were so lovable but I had a few issues with this book. Francis had some special abilities that were never really explained. Was he born with them? Did they appear because of the experiments his parents performed on him? Damian had similar abilities which were never explained as well. How does he have them? Did Grace never realize that he had them? Their relationship from day one was perfect. They met, fell in love and their future was set. Yes there were some bumps caused by Grace’s past but their relationship never suffered. It was unrealistic.
I was very disappointed that there were no wolf shifters in the MC. Their name is the Grimm Wolves and the book is supposed to have a paranormal twist. The title is misleading. My biggest issue is the ending. It just stops. It’s not really a cliffhanger but the story doesn’t end. For me, this book is just a set up for the rest of the series. Which is fine, I’ll still read the rest. I just wasn’t expecting this book to end the way that it did.

Going into this book I was completely blind to the previous happenings in book 1 of the series “Abnormally Abbey” and to be honest I was terrified that I would have no idea what was going on, that was 100% not what happened. To say I was pleasantly surprised with this book, is an understatement. I immediately fell in love with Abbey this quirky, cute, 80’s loving, albeit “a little old for her age” girl with a wonderful sense of humor. This book lacks nothing as far as capturing you and dragging you into a story about life, growing up, navigating the hardship of high school and …clowns.
A captivating story of a 14 year old girl, just trying to make friends at a new school and fit in, while juggling an ability to see things that nobody else can, the dead… Abbey has just transferred to a new school and after a exciting summer spent at camp, Abbey; ready to take on a new school year, joins the soccer team and finally make some friends, hoping for ones she can keep. Unfortunately, life doesn’t always give you what you want, after a trip to the circus with her family Abbey starts seeing clowns all around her new school, what’s even worse now her new friends are starting to disappear.
I could not recommend this book enough, the supernatural twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time, while the lighthearted interactions between characters gave me everything I needed from this book. Hoping we see much more from this promising author Allan Evans and our spook magnet Abbey.

The author took two classic fairy tales and put their own spin on things. It was very exciting to read. As a child I loved fairy tales and this was an adult version of two mashed together! I would highly recommend reading this fairy tale!

What a sweet and wonderful romance fhia book is. I thought it was a great example of Historical romance done right. The author has created a varied cast of characters that all really add to the storyline of the book. It really feels like they are at the heart of it. The ebb and flow of the story was really well done. It is gradually developed over the course of the whole book and I liked how the authoe built it up. This is a thoroughly enjoyable book well worth reading.

This is a fast paced story with a dual POV that helps you get into the mindset of the characters as they face their very different day to day lives. You get to see how the other ½ lives so to speak. Regan, despite being from the worst part of the city, has still dreamed and is trying to make her life better. While Jeremy is busy trying to prove to his father that he can run the family business. Neither of them really needs a distraction but their instant chemistry is undeniable. This is the first chance I’ve gotten to read G Colgrove, but I really enjoyed this romance story, and will definitely be checking out more of her work. She has constructed a realistic story in a real world setting that has intriguing primary and secondary characters. I really enjoyed this book and hope the author gives us more, possibly a story about her bff. If you want a fun read with characters that feel so real they could be your best friends then I highly recommend this book.

After how much I enjoyed the first book I couldn’t wait to start reading the second. The author transports us yet again into an intriguing and well written story that had a unique feel to it. It feels so different to other books in the genre. I really thought you could see how the character had developed from one book to the other. It was nice to see that progression and how it carried the story. This series really has been so interesting so far and I can’t wait to see what is near from this author.
This book is a fast paced paranormal romance. Once again the characters are well developed and the story line is great. With it’s ups and downs, highs and lows, it’ll keep you coming back for more.
Abby isn’t your typical teenager she can see the paranormal which haunt her. Now it’s up to her to find out what’s going on as her classmates keep going missing. If you like clowns this would be right up your alley so to speak. I enjoyed reading this book it was a different change of pace for me. I am not particularly fond of clowns so it was an air on side of caution. Extremely interesting read and a diverse range of characters. It’s story that just keep giving.

I have sincerely loved these books from the start, something I highly suggest everyone start from as well. These books are jam packed full of adventurers that go in an order that really needs to be read in an order. They are even available in a box set for convenience too so that is a nice snag if you are a bargain shopper like me for a series. Back to business lol. This book is another fast adventure that is built around an ancient artifact that holds the power to save all creation. There are lots of old characters that we get to visit with again and follow and new ones we get to meet too! I love the characters. They are so realistic and vivid. The scenery too is just so imaginative and beautiful that it makes me feel as if I am there myself with the characters as we embark on the next adventure. I also loved the deep thinking that goes into the book and that it makes me do as I read. I can’t wait to see what this author is cooking up next!

This is two prequels in one, to a series of books so I would recommend that you be aware of that before starting at least. They are both beautiful novels and wonderfully vivid reads that will set you up beautifully for the Logan McKenna Mystery books. I loved the sweet and heartwarming story of Norah and her violin in the first book and how that tied the gorgeous cover into the book. She is so relatable and I just loved everything about her. This book was deeply rooted in history and storytelling and I felt like I was taken on the most unique history lesson but in the most unique way. In book two we learned the background of Logan McKenna, who is the Great Granddaughter of Norah. How cool huh! The violin also plays more into this one as well. I really liked how the books were separate but not. I look forward to seeing if we will be getting more in this series of books or not, fingers crossed for the more!

This book has a great storyline. It’s a well written paranormal romance. With well written characters, this book is definitely a page turner. I do suggest reading in order.
First of all, I have to say the cover of this book is outstanding and draws in the reader before you even read the title or the snappy synopsis, but once you do you want to know what the story is inside as well. I am personally a fan of the author and have followed and read her work before so I was anxious to get my hands on this sucker but I would have scooped this up as a new reader instantly based solely on the cover. Secondly, this book is short and fun. It packs a lot of really cool elements like magic and gumballs and octopus and romance and all the things into one neat, fun and relatable package that is fun to disappear into for a short time. I literally feel like I am lost into a whole new world when I read her work and that is the coolest thing ever and I love that. It is vivid and realistic in a way that is tangible. I can’t wait to see what we will get to disappear into next!
Woah, this book took me on one heck of a ride in a whirlwind of an afternoon. I didn’t know what to expect when I sat down to read it on a cold and rainy Sunday. I knew I needed to disappear into something good and this was a new author with promising reviews and a gorgeous cover so I figured why not. I can’t even begin to describe the amount of sizzle and sass that I was greeted with, and the fun pull of the romance too! Everything with Regan and Jeremy was balanced in a way that was poetic and believable and I could only complain about wanting more. Seriously. I loved it all and I can’t wait to see what else is available and to come!

A whirlwind romance develops between real estate agent Elsa and movie star Anton in the second book of this series. While I didn’t find it as exciting to read as the first book, it was still a good story overall. There was some repetitiveness of the book’s title that got a bit obnoxious for me, and it seemed to contain a lot more intimate scenes than its predecessor, which I found to be a bit excessive at times, but I’m not sure it’s right to complain about such things in a romance novel.
The storyline was unexpected and interesting, though. Every time I thought it was going to head in one direction, I got thrown for a bit of a loop. Grueling work schedules, and physical distance while Anton films the latest blockbuster in the making, threaten to divide the couple; they also face some issues with communication and their past that they must overcome if they intend to stay married after a super rocky first year of marriage. Complications in their relationship only multiply when Anton takes the leading role in romantic comedy at a dark time for Elsa, and the pair faces problems that are both serious and not atypical for real-life couples.
While the themes felt realistic overall, especially the darker parts of the story, it’s still a romance novel with lots of flourishing steaminess.

With a Pretty Woman-esque storyline, this book is about the rich and powerful Caspian who will disinherit the business he’s devoted himself to if he doesn’t find a wife and remain married for at least one year. Paisley is a struggling artist with looming medical bills for her mother and couldn’t be farther from the world in which Caspian lives. Fate brings the two together at a chance encounter at the hospital, where Caspian is visiting his dying uncle and Paisley is visiting her comatose mother. Something in her eyes sparks recognition in Caspian, and they discover they’re not from completely different worlds after all, having befriended one another in childhood. As they catch up over coffee, Caspian decides it could be a mutually beneficial agreement if he can convince Paisley to marry him for the terms described in his uncle’s will. Between social events with catty women, Caspian’s uncle’s disapproval in his choice for a wife, and some secrets Caspian is holding onto, the whole arrangement becomes fragile and threatens to fall apart. I found this to be an entertaining read with just enough drama and spice to keep me hooked until the end.
