The View from Here is an adventure of a story. I really liked the premise of what should be a simple journey turning into something much more. The story-building and character development are really well done, making me not want to put this book down. This is a fairly quick read, but it did leave me wanting more from the story. I want to know what happens next. This was my first book from this author, and I hope to read more from him soon.

While this was a new author to me, I personally look forward to reading more from this author. This story just blew me away, full of steamy details and emotions I just simply couldn’t put it down. But our author didn’t stop there this book is filled with everything a romance reader could ask for including angst, tensions, suspense, and of course drama. Leslie feels as a female firefighter she has to work twice as hard for everything she wants. Until a one nightstand with a football superstar, will it be a one night stand or will our Wildcat finally settle down? You’ll have to read this story to find our for yourself. I personally can’t wait for more from this author.
Having read the previous 3 books in this series I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I was to read this book. Although these books can be standalone, everything makes more sense if you start from book one. This will allow you to follow the storyline so you know all the players in this book as well as their backgrounds and past predicaments.
This book starts off in the action right away with Elena, who has been thought dead by most of the mafia family members. Known only to be alive by Sofia and Katya the Bratva assassin. Things change in the world when the Bratva discover that she is alive and well, thus Sofia must inform her brother Marco of the deception so he can try to protect her. It is a race to see which side can get to her first and if she can put her trust in the one man she never thought she could have.
This book is packed full of action, adventure, romance and more twists than a roller coaster. It will leave you on the edge of your seat as you try to solve why the Bratva want Elena dead so badly. Will they get their wish or can Marco put an end to it once and for all. Amy McKinley is one author that I will read anything she puts out, her books are just that good!
This is the first book in the Dark Mafia series and is 198 pages in length. This story follows Luca and Aly. Their families are rivals. Luca has been there for Aly and has always wanted her for himself. Aly cares about Luca and can depend on him. The problem starts when Aly’s father arranges for her to get married to someone else. This drives Luca to take matters into his own hands and now the families are on the verge of war. Luca and Aly have a complicated paste – but can they have a future?
I see this authors name and get excited, this book did not disappoint! The main characters, Marco and Elena, have such a intense chemistry that you can feel it in your bones as your reading. The plot is thrilling, intense, suspenseful, dramatic, action packed and a page-turner. I could not put this book down!
Talk about edge of my seat! This story was exploding in suspense and action. I loved the chemistry sizzling off the pages between Luca and Aly, Luca being such a intense consuming character against Aly’s sweet yet strong persona. A very raw, dark and emotional romance, sit down and enjoy the ride because I can guarantee you wont be able to put this book down.
Taking off from book one, this author did not disappoint with the next step in Titania’s tale. I am hooked on this series and will be counting down the days for it to continue. With great character development and world building, it has everything you want in a YA Paranormal/ Fantasy. Magic, action, drama, mystery, suspense and lots more. A must read!

A short sexy tale. I loved the attitude, sass and humour in the book. The scenes were steamy, and plot easy to follow. My first book from this author and I would happily pick up another one of her books. A nice quick read to enjoy a couple of relaxing hours to.

Blood Oath continues the Mafia Elite Series by Amy McKinley. This second book in the series is a worthy companion to the first installment. This series keeps getting hotter and keeps ratcheting up the suspense and the drama. I can’t wait to see where this series goes from here, but I have absolutely no doubt that it will be amazing from start to finish. In this book, we follow the story of Sofia La Rosa and Enzo Vitale. Two star crossed lovers worthy of another Italian couple. While their families aren’t at war with each other, arranged marriages and secrets threaten to keep our clandestine lovers apart. Through the many twists and turns that can only possibly found within the Mafia , from a blood oath undertaken during a terrifying event at very young age, this pair find a way back to each other at different points in their lives, and even find a way for their love to work, at least for a while. The biggest question of all, though, is will the secrets that Sofia holds and that Enzo is a part of keep them apart for goo While there is definitely more blood and guts in this book, there is also a truly impressive story being told and unfolded at just the right pace to keep you guessing and coming back for more. I truly cannot wait to pick up the next installment of this gripping series and see if I have correctly found the rat among these Mafia bosses and their families.

Wow what more can I say. I like to delve into mafia romances every now and then and this one was not what I expected. I as not disappointed. I like how the author builds up the drama in this book and the chemistry between the characters is really dynamic. I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know what was gonna happen next. I like how the author outlines each characters life to start with and how they became entwined.
I like how the characters are realistic. I also like how I was drawn into the book and felt as though I was right there with the action. I will definitely be reading more from this author and this series. Reviewed by @caraleeloonat

Anton and Elsa thought they had a perfect relationship. Anton is an actor and a Manhattan Titan, Elsa is an up and coming real estate agent best in her company. They have been dating for a few years, he finally proposes and they get married at J.C.’s resort in the Caribbean, what more could they want. Anton spends alot of time away filming movies but they have never really had issues with the long distance until Elsa finds out she is pregnant. That is when things begin to go downhill. Things changed when Elsa becomes so stressed that she passes out at a showing and wakes up in the hospital. Only her worst fears could happen after waking up. What all could happen in the life of a Manhattan Titan.
I found a new author to love! I loved this book it was great and hooked me from the beginning and kept my interest throughout. I read this so fast! So much action, suspense and romance. I really rooted for the characters. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for is throughout the rest of the series!
I have not read any books by this author before but i will be on the lookout now. I really enjoyed this story and being under 200 pages I was able to finish this pretty quickly. Really enjoyed this read and while I dont watch sports, at all, I love to read about them so this was right up my alley.
I haven’t read anything by this author previously, but after reading the synopsis it sounded like a quick, hot read. It really was, but I was pleasantly surprised by the story I became drawn into. While the timeframe is set in the 90s, the ideas presented of women in a “manly” job, interracial relationships, one night stands can still be considered very modern.
Leslie is a badass firefighter, putting up with being treated as though she is out of place, interested in a hot guy she just wants a quick fling with – to relieve a little stress. Trevor is on board and they have a hot night together – but both can’t stop thinking ofthe other. There are a lot of things that seem like they might not be able to tied together, but I really enjoyed this book. It was definitely a hot quick read, but not because there wasn’t a lot of story to get engrossed in. Looking forward to getting into more of this series.
I wasn’t sure what to make of Sinful Vow at first. It was much more “spicy” than I anticipated straight off the bat but it simultaneously had my undivided attention. I liked how the narrative switched between both main characters and as the first book in a series, I felt like we were given a good background on all characters and each one really had a lot of depth. I knew going into this that there was a romance element to the genre and originally found myself wishing there was more action, that wish was granted pretty quickly. This book truly exceeded all expectations and I look forward to more from this author.
“Exiled South” by Harriet Cannon is a historical fiction novel that begins in Washington State when Lizbeth’s husband unexpectedly passes away. She returns back to her childhood hometown in South Carolina, where long kept family secrets come to light. I loved how the author ties in all the family ancestors and the decisions they made that caused a lasting impact. This book is incredibly eye-opening, with a strong focus on diversity and Southern history.

What is Marcos’ real plan? This author again kept me glued to her book. Not only is it well written, it grabs you in the first sentence and you just can’t put it down. I love this series and the characters, Elena is one strong independent woman. The women of this Mafia are just as strong as the men. The fight is real for these characters. When all is read, you will find yourself wanting more. That is what makes this series so entertaining. I recommend you read this series in order, you won’t want to miss any of it. No Spoilers Here! This was a book I could not put down. This is the first time I have read a book by this author and I was not disappointed in any way. The author was able to grab my attention and keep it throughout the entire book. The mafia world is a scary down right competitive backdrop to this book. I loved the protective instincts of our main characters even though they come from different mafia families at war. You will find the story line very intriguing and well as keeping you on your toes with all the beautifully written plot twists. I will certainly be reading book two.

This a new series and if all the rest coming are like this one, then hold on for the ride. Not my first read by this author and she just has a way to pull you right in from the start and feel for each character pretty fast.

Elsa Fitzgerald is one of the most successful real estate agents in New York is dating Anton Kingston but something is missing from this happily ever after.
I don’t want to give too much away but this was an amazing story. I went into this thinking it was going to be another rich guy who falls in love and does whatever he can to keep her from slipping away because of his past but it is not. It is so much more.
I noticed that there are other novels in this series. They look to be standalones but I am excited to see the other couples and what they go through.

This book follows Marco and Elena and is another Arranged Mafia Marriage romance. I blew through this book in one day! This book was packed with drama and excitement and the twist at the end OMG I was blown away. I did wish that there was more of a build-up and insight into the romance between Marco and Elena. You knew they were right for each other and had some history and angst but I wanted to fall in love with them and watch it unfold a little more but just like in the previous books from this series there was some good amount of spice and I truly love the world this author has created with these characters and I adore how they all intertwine in each book and I can keep watching new developments from previous book characters roll into this book along with the main characters of this. She does a really great job at incorporating old characters and continuing their story while also introducing a new story with Marco and Elena and I really love that. I look forward to reading book 5!

This is book one of the series. I couldn’t put this book down!
Leslie is bold and unapologetic. She gave ballet up for firefighting and definitely feels she should be able to act like one of the guys as she sees fit. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to work hard for every bit of respect. After a one-night stand with Trevor, the last thing she wants or needs is a distraction. Trevor doesn’t want only one night with Leslie. He’s got a lot to focus on with football but he’s determined to get another chance with Leslie. Can they work it out between them or will they be too reluctant to distraction?
I enjoyed these characters. Leslie is tough and is such a great character. I wish I could be more like her!
A five-star read that will surprise at every turn. This is number four in the Mafia Elite series and they have gone from strength to strength, just when you think they cant be outdone, boom next book and you are overcome. Marco and Elena will make your heart pop, the Bratva will make your heart sink and overall, this story will make it sing. Make sure you don’t have things to do, as they won’t get done, you will be to busy reading once you start this story.

This book is scorching hot and it sucked me right in from the very first page. I absolutely love how Leslie breaks the mold in so many ways. She isn’t afraid to take chances and go after what she wants in her personal life. She also works in a male dominated field and it’s horrifying the things those monsters put her through simply because she is a woman. Trevor is such a sweet, patient man. He doesn’t let her scare him away with all of the walls that she keeps throwing up and he loves to take care of her and show her that it doesn’t mean she’s weak if she leans on him sometimes. This book is full of heat, romance and danger and tackles misogyny. This is a definite must read and I’m so excited to read the next book in this series.

Savage Secrets is the fourth book in the Mafia Elite Series and I absolutely loved this book. This is a Romance Suspense that will have you turning the pages while on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is going to happen next. I’m a huge fan of this author and she continues to amaze me with her attention to detail and her characters are well developed and amazing with a dash of hard edge. If you haven’t already started this series I highly recommend reading it from the beginning you won’t be disappointed. This is Marco and Elena’s story. She’s been on the run for years and up until now she has been hiding well but now she finds herself in a situation where she is in danger and not just about getting caught. She’s pretty much been in love with him for years but of course he believed she died several years back. He’s determined to protect her no matter what. Can their arrangement be her saving grace? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Dystopian books are a unique genre to read, and sometimes difficult. This story was anything but. The author gave us such vivid imagery and immense detail to where you were as much in the story as the other characters. Amy is a young teen who is ready and on a mission to find out who her father is in the small town she lives in. As she embarks on this journey she learns that her father is close, and magic is real….and within her. This was a great tale of self discovery and enlightenment. I would pick up another book by this author again!

Aly and Luca probably couldn’t be more opposite if they tried, but they mesh well together. When Luca finds out that Aly is to be married he kidnaps her from her father’s home. By doing so he has started a war that has been building up for years. His intention has always been to get revenge on Mr. Mancini for killing his two friends when he was a child, but when it comes to Aly he has a bit of a soft spot. Will Luca finally get his revenge or will these two families finally be able to make peace?
I can’t express enough how this book was to read. I don’t recall a Mafia romance where I was sucked in from the very first page. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.
Ever read a book series where each book gets better and better, and you’re enjoying it as it goes, but then you get to one down the line and you’re like THIS. IS. THE. ONE? Well that’s this one. I feel like books 1-3 set up everything for this book perfectly and left me astounded.
Did I expect most of it and guess some of the plots? Of course. But I still NEEDED this book in my life and sat there reading it from beginning to end. I feel like (almost) all the questions and build up where answered. Of course know it’s not all been said and done because this is only book 4 of 7 planned (according to Amazon at the time of this writing), but ugh, I can’t gush enough about this one.
We get Marco and Elena in this book. As with all the others there’s a HEA in terms of the love story, but the build up to there is so great. It’s kind of an enemies to lovers, second chance, forced proximity, story. They knew each other as kids but Marco starts pulling away and being a jerk to Elena in their teens because he knows he cannot have her. Then she’s on the run, hiding who she really is, and Marco steps in to save her. And then says you’re mine. AH!
I enjoyed the continual build up of the mafia world and the ongoing issues inside the Family as well as with the Bratva. Note: I really want my Katya novel next!
