This book was really cute! My favorite thing to look for when I read something is relationships between characters. This author wrote them so well! There was individual growth and just seeing the relationship itself build was what kept me reading! The shared history followed by such different journeys to that point in their lives was just so relatable! Everyone gets to adulthood and stability in different paths, and that was illustrated beautifully in the story. I adore the way the author writes and am excited to see what else they have!

I love this series of MC books. Red is such a sweet man with a tough exterior (he has to be tough to be prez for the MC). It was great to see him get his HEA, he deserves it so much. I love how this author writes and how she approaches different real issues. Being part of the LGBTQ+ community, I loved how a non-binary teenager was portrayed. We were given explanations without being talked down to. It made this momma’s heart soar. Red and Cher are also older, but that doesn’t mean they are any less randy or sexy than the younger people.

So, I usually don’t grab books like these and read them but after reading book one, I honestly could not wait for this one to come out. And once again I was not disappointed. Red finding his love again and it was like nothing changed was incredible. the situations that come up and the way Red handles everything is amazing. There was one part that at first, I was thinking oh this is going to happen this way, but it did really caught me off guard, and I loved it. It kept me wanting to read more and very entertaining. I honestly hope there is more to this story then what there is. The one thing I do have to say is one of the people in there is binary, so they use the term they and them which I had to stop and think for a second because I have never had to use these terms yet. I love how these types of gender and identifications are in this book. It was great to actually learn about the way they are and what they mean. Great book and amazing read. so entertaining, kept me on the edge of me seat wanting more.

Red has to be my favorite character by this author. Red’s story and his unexpected storyline kept me turning page after page, finishing this story in one day! I love that the characters from other SD Chapters were able to make an appearance. I also love the new characters we are introduced to in this story, ESPECIALLY Zeke!

I love that Cher and Red are older characters and that this author kept them as sexy as ever! I love that Cher didn’t jump right into the MC but took her own time in deciding what was best for her and those she loves the most. I don’t think there is anything I didn’t like! If I had to be a part of an MC world, I would so choose Satan’s Devils!

Wow this was definitely worth the wait. I have read many books by this author and once again I was not let down. I like how all the books compliment one another and how each series mixes with the other. I like how there is a perfect balance of drama and romance. The characters are very well written and realistic.

I like how Cher and Red have ups and downs. The fact that Cher has doubts really adds to the book as it isn’t straight forward in real life so the fact that the author has used this makes so it isn’t predictable. I also like how the series cross over and that enhances the series. I very much look forward to reading more from this author and series in future.

The Heart of a Hussar (The Winged Warrior Series Book 1) by Griffin Brady – Review by Jenni Bishop

The Heart of a Hussar (The Winged Warrior, #1)The Heart of a Hussar by Griffin Brady
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An historical romance story set in the 17th century Poland. The author has clearly researched this period of time and the history of that time and the Hussars that has been woven into the story is interesting. This is the first book in this duo and it ends on a cliffy so there are many things left unanswered but I am sure will be tied up in the second. The characters are well written and it is hard not to get drawn into their lives, their emotions, their fate, their journey in a time of war. I am not a lover of historical romance but do love travelling and peeling back the layers of history so I don’t mind reading them from time to time. I think the setting made it more fascinating because it is not typically a period and place that authors select for their stories.

“Great acts are made up of small deeds”

I love this saying!

If I had read this by myself and reviewed it I would have given it 4 stars, because I wouldn’t have thought the kids would have really gotten this or would stay interested. I was completely wrong. I picked this up because I had 3 of my grands with me for a few days the week of Thanksgiving. They are ages 10 and 11. We read this together taking turns and they completely got it, and enjoyed it. It broke off into conversations and questions and how to apply this book in their own lives. I was blown away and completely impressed with how this book touched them.

This was a great book for teaching children the meaning of finding good in all things, especially themselves.

I loved the time with the kids reading this, and would recommend it highly!

This book is no exception, it helps you realize “a cheesy as it sounds” the magic is within. What a fantastic book!! It features some amazing descriptions on how it is to have no sight. Although lacking sight the author uses her other senses to move through the wonderful world. If we couldn’t describe what we see we could use other senses and this is masterfully done. This is so relevant to our world today. What a valuable insight on how to love the world through other means while not being able to see it.

Oh Red…. you found her!!!

this is a wonderful 5 star read into Red and Cher rediscovering one another… as they are entirely different people than when they first met.

can Cher get past Red’s MC and the fact he’s the Prez? can she move past her assumptions and fear of what she thinks Red is and see who’s still there underneath.

Can Red get past her walking away and secrets she carries. Can he forgive her? Can he be patient enough while she comes to her own conclusions?

the testing of their relationship happens immediately and is intense much like their whirlwind early romance.

this is a must read and heart warming to watch both red and Cher grow into something beautiful.

This is the second part of Red’s story and after reading the first part I was so desperate to see how this story and Red’s and Cheryl story would pan out. The author does an amazing job handling subjects such as Red’s son being non-binary. This subject is handled in an open and honest way and shows both sides such as the support but also the negative reaction that people can face.

From the first book the  connection between them was electric and after the reconnected all these years later the feelings haven’t changed. However they both need to relearn and get to know each other all over again. And its not just them. Red needs to learn how to juggle being the president of an MC with being a dad and Cher needs to learn about his life and his club and figure if there is a place for her and their son in it.
With both of them having very different lives now can they work through it all and make their relationship work this time? Will Red finally get the family and the woman he has always loved? Or will the club cause a wedge between them that becomes unfixable.

To say this book is interesting would be an understatement. This book was amazing! This book was unlike her other novels. This story took her writing to a whole new level. This author incorporates people from different races, genders and sexual preferences into her stories. I loved the fact that there was a non binary character in this book. I absolutely adored Zeke! He had such a strength of character with all that he had to endure. I admit that I do t know much about this topic but this book has opened my eyes and helped me to understand a whole other aspect to the human race. I think this is an excellent sequel to the first part. This author amazes me with every book that I read from her.

I don’t have a lot of experience around motorcycle clubs as the only one local in my area is all veterans. They are all very respectful and wouldn’t use harsh language in front of a lady. This novel is chalked full of atrocious language and I really feel that without the “F” word every two sentences the story would have flowed much more steadily.
The storyline itself follows Red who is Prez of his motorcycle club and Cheryl the woman he left behind some 15 years ago. Red finds out he is a dad to a non binary child named Zeke and he proceeds to be super understanding and tries his best to make the best out of what could potentially be a chaotic situation. I really appreciated the authors attention to detail and the way the characters were written. The storyline was mainly character driven and does get a bit steamy. Ok it gets a lot steamy!! Better read this one in a walk in freezer.

Such an action packed series finally conlcudes. Lots of steamy romance twisted inside Vanessas 4 tests. I was pleased with how the series tied itself up, but ill be back to read this series over and over as I was a bit sad I will never learn more about Vanessa and her Men! Their connection and interactions are wonderfully built and you dont want this world to end…. her relationship which each of them is so different you are always wanting to know more…. except about maybe moms…. I mean how awful … and not just one of them!!!! I don’t feel like all of the punishments were enough after what Vanessa endures!
This book and really the entire series is full of spice, witty sarcasm, drama mamas and so very addicting!

I have been waiting impatiently for this latest novel in the ‘Satan’s Devils MC’ series having been left with a real cliffhanger at the end of Part One, well I was definitely not disappointed with this second part of Red’s story. Part Two carried on seamlessly from the ending of the previous book so I would recommend reading them in order. This is the Prez of the ‘Vegas Chapter’, Red’s story along with Cher, the women who got away, and Zeke, his fifteen year old child, which he knew nothing about. Not only does Red want a relationship with Zeke but he also wants one with Cher, as he has never forgotten her and no other women has been her equal. Cher has also compared all men to Red and never stopped wondering what would have happened if she had not left him all those years ago. However, finding out that the young man she knew is now the Prez of the ‘Satan’s Devils MC’ has her wondering if she really knew him at all. Whilst getting to know Zeke and spending time with Cher, Red also has the demands of the Club to deal with.

Red wants both his MC family and his other family, but Cher is not convinced that she is ‘old lady’ material. Red also has to come to terms with the fact that Zeke recognises as being non-binary, and some of his MC are not happy. This is another fantastic MC novel by the author and as usual it is wonderfully written and the descriptive narrative brings the characters and the setting to life, making me feel immersed in the ‘Satan’s Devils’ world. I loved Red, Cher and Zeke and enjoyed seeing their relationships develop throughout this story. The storyline is fast paced and full of drama, suspense and romance with plenty of plot twists which had me hooked from start to finish. I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this novel and was impressed how the author has included the issues surrounding individuals who are non-binary, and thought this was dealt with sensitively. This was an exciting, enjoyable and engaging read, and having read this in almost one sitting, as I literally could not put it down, I will now have to eagerly wait for the next book in the series!

Don’t get me wrong, I love Red’s perspective. But, I will never baulk at a second point of view. THEN, something I never expected.. a THIRD perspective! I won’t say who it is so I don’t ruin the surprise, but you will not be upset about it.

I am so hooked on the Satan’s Devils! I am reading as many of the Devils books as I can find. This was yet again a 5 star read from start to finish for me. This author brings the Devils to life so well and you are so totally immersed in their lives, that you feel like you are right there with them every step of the way. This story also addresses a present day issue seen as controversial by some but that I feel is important and it is presented perfectly.

After 15 years Red comes face to face with Cheryl, basically the one who got away and discovers he has a child Zeke. A lot has happened for them both in those 15 years and this story follows them as they work things out together and when someone comes after the Vegas Devils chapter they are tested yet again.

This author did not disappoint. Her story was not only intense. For me there was yet another aspect of life I had no clue about. The characters are a well rounded group of men and women. Red being the Prez of this MC always puts his family first. Char included, Char is about to reconnect with Red, but is she ready? Is Red ready to have his life changed, for the better? This is a fast moving rollercoaster of emotions. Get out the chocolate, tissues and whatever else you need. This is going to keep you locked in place. I absolutely love this MC series. I recommend you start the series with book one. Become friends with all the men of Satan’s Devils.

The second book in this series and it definitely did not disappoint! Drummer and Sam’s story is probably one of my favourites by this author! I was swept up in it straight away and I was really disappointed when it finished! I love the family feel of these MC stories – they are so important to each other and the bond they have is great! They really do protect each other and when you become a lady of an MC Brother you know you are theirs for life! Sam and Drummer may have had their troubles being together but, in my opinion, they were the perfect match!! The narration of the audio book was perfect and they really did bring the authors words to life.

Wow is all I can say. This book is definitely my favourite by this author so far. I have been a huge fan of this author for a few years now and have absolutely loved every book of theirs that I have read but due to a very personal reason this just has to be my personal favourite. I won’t mention why as this may be a spoiler and I wouldn’t want to spoil anything for anyone intending to read this. One thing I will say is that I love that this author tackles such issues and is such an advocate of diversity and inclusion.
This is the 2nd part of Red’s story and I absolutely loved reading Red and Cher’s story. After reading the first book I was desperate to find out how their story would pan out and I was not disappointed. I’m totally in awe of how this author creates all these amazing biker guys and as well as writing amazing romance stories for them, also adds great accompanying storylines to run alongside the romance aspect. I’ve no idea how she keeps track of all of them and their back stories.
If you love reading about MC’s and enjoy a good romance story that’s also filled with drama and danger then this book (and the first part of this story) should be right up there at the top of your list.

Having read books by this author previously I thought I would give an audio book a try and overall, I really enjoyed the story. It was a long listen I will admit but it actually went really quickly because I was so absorbed in the story. The narration was really good and pleasant to listen to. Overall, a fantastic audio book and one that I would highly recommend! I look forward to the next one!

This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed. This is an adventure story about Jacek and hidden secrets that could mean survival. This is a well written story that is full of action and the characters kept the story engaging. They are connectable and made the story hard to put down. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the author’s use of details to make the story come to life. Jacek just wants to be acknowledged for his valor. He finds himself saving two innocent people from being killed. What he doesn’t realize is the great consequences that could change things for him. What happens next, you will need to read this book and you don’t want to miss it. This is a great story that had me turning pages fast just to see what was going to happen next. I highly recommend this book. It is worth the pick up.
